Triggering Java class within wls using Autosys

Is it possible to trigger a Java class within the weblogic server externally using an utility like Autosys ?

Dont know autosys that well but I would guess you would have to invoke java
and run a starter class.
There is a good product out there called Flux which is an all java based
scheduling system that has some great scheduling features and is made
to trigger either Session Beans, Add entrys to JMS Queues/Topic or
fire a java class when a scheduled event is fired.

  • Java class within user defined function

    Hi all,
    in order to have a JDBC-lookup java function "globally" in XI i created a java class and imported it to XI as an imported Archive (i have to do the lookup within a mapping). I then can include the class to a user defined function. However the problem is now that this works fine within one Software Component Version but when i want to use it in several SWCV i have to import the jar to every SWCV. My question is therefore if anybody has already had this problem and if there is another possible solution - maybe deploying the class to XI using SDM?
    Thank you for your thoughts.
    Mathias

    hi Markus,
    >>>>My question is therefore if anybody has already had this problem and if there is another possible solution - maybe deploying the class to XI using SDM?
    if you do that then you'll have to remember about it
    every time you import a new SP or upgreade your XI
    this is not standard so SAP may always overwrite it
    and your interfaces will stop working
    consider importing it for every SWCV

  • How to convert a .jsp to a .java/.class file for use in peoplesoft

    Hi java/jsp experts,
    I want to convert a .jsp to a .java/.class file. is there a tool available, please let me know if you have any pointers....
    or can i do it manually:
    these are a few lines that the .jsp contains, and i would like to translate this to be in .java/.class format:
    <%@ page import="sun.misc.BASE64Encoder, javax.crypto., javax.crypto.spec."%>
    <%@ page import="java.util.StringTokenizer" %>
    <%@ page import="java.util.Map" %>
    <%!
    sb.append("<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"orderPage_serialNumber\" value=\"");
    sb.append(serialNumber);
    sb.append("\">\n");
    return sb.toString();
    %>
    how can i translate the above import statements and html elements from jsp to java, please let me know.
    Once i have the .java file created from the .jsp, I will compile .java to create the .class file and invoke the .class in peoplecode by using java apis available in peopletools.
    Thanks in advance.

    Is there a way convert a binary .exe file( compiled by
    another compiler) into Java .class/.jar file ? Anyone
    know of a free program that can do this?It's not possible. There are many decompilers and disassemblers for Java but nothing will take you from ANY binary to Java source. It would be the end of computing as we know it and the beginning of a new era -:)

  • How to invoke a 6 parameter java class within jsp

    i have just begun to learned jsp and java recently, so have the question below:
    Situation:
    My boss asked me to do a project for doing online data mining.
    He requested the thing below:
    1. Write a webpage by jsp with some textfield or pull down meun to get the parameter for getting the opinion and the parameter needed for the java class.
    2. When the user click the buttom in the website, then the java class have to be invoked.
    Questions:
    1. ask i put the .java in the server, i can simply use cmd and type the following command:
    java -Xmx800M P05context 1 1 3 6 F01xyz.txt F10xyz.txt
    which F01xyz is the prepared text file for the java class to read and the F10xyz.txt is the output file generated by the P05context.class
    but i don't know how to invoke the P05context.class by jsp
    My boss have suggested me two ways to do this:
    a. write a java virtual class to execute the java program.
    but i don't know how to write.
    i think conceptualy will be like this :
    public class run_java
    public void run java(parameter1,parameter2....,parameter6)
    //run the cmd command
    //java -Xmx800M P05context 1 1 3 6 F01xyz.txt F10xyz.txt
    b. write a javabean in the jsp. and i have try to use this code(at the end of the message:
    but the tomcat server reply a internal error to me
    how cani do ?
    the jsp file-->
    <jsp:useBean id="test" scope="session" class ="P05context" />
    <html>
    <head></head>
    <body>
    <% test.P05context(1,1,3,6,F01xyz.txt,F10xyz.txt); %>
    </body>
    </html>

    I still don't see why the form (the origin of the request) has to be a JSP, As you say, it might be static but forms I've written have usually had some kind of menu framework arround them and other variables. Also if the input is invalid you usually want to re-present the form, with an error message and the fields pre-populated according to what the user put in before. That does require a JSP and you may as well use the same JSP for an empty, as for a rejected request.
    the response to the form should be handled by a servlet. Both is HTML, but the
    form is static, and the reply dynamic. Using the combination; a servlet to do the data processing and a JSP to format the results is more flexible in a number of ways. For example, suppose you find the need to present the data form in, say, Greek? You don't want the processing to be duplicated in English and Greek versions of the results JSP.
    Suppose the boss wants to turn a graphics designer loose on your HTML. Don't want him mucking about with your processing code do you.
    The servlet typically takes the function of controller in the model/view/controller paradigm.
    Code in a servlet is cleaner, better formatted and easier to access with a debugger.

  • Using normal java classes to access database

    Dear friends,
    Is it a good practice to make database calls from a normal java class within J2EE environment.
    What I meant by a normal java class is a class which is not an enterprise bean.
    Best Regards,
    Chamal.

    it is quite normal.
    If you make your own DAOs, it may not be efficient/generic.
    JSP/Servlets can use Hibernate (which is a set of POJOs) to access DB. Thus you have a J2EE environment using a very matured DB access methodoloy, and doing away with Enterprise bean.

  • Simple Java class using SQLJ not compiling.

    Hello all, I have a simple Java class that is using SQLJ. It will not compile though. I am not sure what I should set for classpath. Any ideas? This is what I have so far.
    set PATH=C:\jdk1.2.2\bin;c:\oracle\ora81\jdbc\bin;
    set CLASSPATH="C:\oracle\ora81\jdbc\lib\classes12.zip;C:\oracle\ora81\sqlj\lib\runtime12.zip;C:\oracle\ora81\sqlj\lib\translator.zip;C:\jdk1.2.2\lib\*.*"
    then
    javac SQLJTester.java
    Here is my .java file ---
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import sqlj.runtime.*;
    import sqlj.runtime.ref.*;
    public class SQLJTester {
    public static void update() throws Exception {
    java.sql.Timestamp timeNow;
    #sql {
    BEGIN
    :timeNow := sysdate;
    END
    public static void main (String[] args) {
    try {
    SQLJTester.update();
    System.out.println ("Updated successfully");
    catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println ("Caught an exception.");
    Thanks ahead for your time,
    Justin

    When sqlj files are compiled and translted to java file with them the file with extension .ser is also generated. browsers do not recognise this .ser files they only understand .class files which the download using <codebase> instead of class path. so thats why you r not able to use sqlj in servlet. try to customize the profile. Now can some one inform how to use sqlj from eclipse. does it support?. i need to downoad sqlj.exe for that. if anyone has idea from where i can download sqlj.exe pls inform me at [email protected]

  • Start JavaFx project using a Java class

    After hours of searching, I still can't solve this problem:
    I have a pure JavaFx project but need to start it with a Java class.
    It used to work with the Interface method, but (I guess) since the javafx update to 1.3, the JavaFx code starts executing (the console outputs FX.println statements) but the stage(s) never become visible.
    Activator.java
            final Context context = FXLocal.getContext();
            final FXClassType instance = context.findClass("javafx.Launcher", this.getClass().getClassLoader());
            final ObjectValue obj = (ObjectValue) instance.newInstance();
            final LauncherInterface l = (LauncherInterface)obj.asObject();
            l.run();LauncherInterface.java
    public interface LauncherInterface {
        public void run();
    }Launcher.fx
    public class Launcher extends LauncherInterface {
        public override function run() {
    // [...] init stuff
            MainWindow.createWindow();
    }I'm using java version "1.6.0_21", javafx 1.3.0_b412, windows 7
    any ideas?
    thanks alot

    There is someting wrong in my answer that on the FX side you can keep your code but on the java side the call have to be defered to the javaFX container like that:
    com.sun.javafx.runtime.Entry.deferAction(
                    new Runnable() {
                        @Override
                        public void run() {
                              //Create javaFX Stage
                );The class is in javafxrt.jar

  • Create a webservice using java class

    Hi,
    I have a java class (which is used to open a URL). I need to create a webservice out of this so that I can publish this. Which is the best tool to convert java to a webservice and what are the steps.

    If you are using Java 6 use JAX-WS to expose it as a webservice. See the JavaEE tutorial for more information.

  • (261680070) Q SYNCH-11 How do my web service methods accees EJBs and java classes?

    A<SYNCH-11> How do my web service methods accees EJBs and java classes?
    A<SYNCH-11> It is simple to use java classes, just do it as you would ordinarily.
    The .jws file really contains a simple class so you can program with it in the same
    way that you would use a regular Java class.
    To use an EJB you can go and access it directly as you would with any EJB remote
    client (lookup home stub, create, etc) or if the EJB is deployed to WLS you can use
    a control to provide a very simple wrapper to the EJB. We will see this in detail
    on Thursday in the ADVC module.

    Futher information about the possibility of callback:
    It may be possible for a synchronous only web service (i.e. MS .net) to even paticipant
    in the callback functionality of asynchronous web services. If the client implements
    the appropriate methods for the callback but listens for them on a different port
    or binding than the SOAP request, then web service may be able to build a response
    if the client's "callback URL" is submitted as the beginning part of a conversation.
    Watch the BEA developer forum (http://dev2dev.bea.com) for more information about
    this approach and other tips and techniques for building web services.

    this is true.
    Does it means my async methods will only work with J2EE clients?
    A<SYNCH-03> I do not know the limitations of .net but let me point out that
    is very
    difficult to provide asynchronous web service method invocation (this is
    different
    from an asynchronous web service). HTTP as a general communication protocol
    is based
    on a request and response paradigm so your client libraries will mostly
    likely be
    expecting a response even if it is empty (check the asynchronous example
    from today
    to see that the start method still returns an empty response). You must
    distinguish
    this from the notion of an asynchronous web service which is a business
    operation
    that occurs on the server whose return value/result is not directly associated
    with
    building response to the client. An asynchronous web service can (and generally
    will)
    be started and stopped with web service operations that are invoked synchronously.
    Thus MS .net clients can still be client to WLS hosted web services.

  • User Defined Function is not recognizing java class in IR.

    Hi All,
    i have written one normal java class, and i imported that java class into IR using imported Archive as a .jar file,
    it will add just two values .
    now in message mapping i created one user defined function in that
    iam trying to call this java class. while testing it is showing error as cannot resolve symbol java class name
    so experts please help me in this or it would be appreciate if any one will provide
    step by step process of one java class and one USD just to add two numbers.
    thanks in advance,
    jasmine .

    Hi,
    The steps are as follows:
    1) Create a java file with .java extension.
    2)Compile it to create a .class file.
    3) Create a zip file for this .class file using any compressed archive program(ex-winrar)
    4) Upload this zip file as an imported archive ,save and activate.
    When you go to this archive,below , you can see your .class file with the older path,for below ex:
    ObjRecord.class     jxl/biff/drawing/
    you have to give following entry in imports section:
    jxl.biff.drawing.ObjRecord;
    Please try this and let us know if this works.
    Thanks.

  • Retrive message mapping error from java class

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a scenario that if exist an error in the message mapping step this error will be inserted in a Ztable. I'm thinking in to call to the message mapping from a java class to catch the exception and this java class will be used in the interface mapping.
    Is it possible? If yes, How to call the message mapping from java code?
    Exists other possible solution?
    I need to do it because we want store all mapping errors in a Ztable. (Customer requeriment)
    Thanks, in advance
    Jose Manuel

    you can throw generic exceptions from the message mapping like this - /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2007/04/26/xipi-throwing-generic-exceptions-from-any-type-of-mapping
    you can then decide how to handle these exceptions

  • Custom Java class called from RTF template generates error

    We are running a report in BI Publisher and the report calls a custom developed Java class that is used to bind PDFs together and sent the result to another application.
    On the RTF template we have some XSLT that reads the input XML and sets a variable which is then passed to the Java class. We are however getting the following error when the report is called simultaneously 2 or more times:
    XML-22044: (Error) Extension function error: Error invoking 'JavaClassName': 'java.lang.Error: Cannot interweave overlay template with pdf input, combined number of pages is odd!
    I read this as the real cause of the error is the Java code but I'm not 100% sure. Also I don't understand what the error message means.
    Could someone help out please?
    Many thanks

    Since our this requirement is in Quotes module, its not using OAF. It is using plain JSPs and java classes.
    What i was thinking is, create the Option values as flex fields, and write a custom java class to fetch these data from the flex tables and use it in the JSP.
    The main problem we are facing now is,
    "...we wrote a simple java class, which establishes database connection, executes a simple insert & select query to our custom table. compiled & placed the class file under our new pkg structure under $JAVA_TOP eg. oracle.apps.xxx.quot.tmpl , bounced the apache."
    But when we tried to import this class in the jsp (which is being customized), the app just throwed Internal Server Error and we couldnt find any info in the Log file.
    Couldnt guess, why is this simple thing failing. Any idea ?
