Triple monitor with intel and SenseVision Club 3d usb to hdmi adapter

Hi,
I have an all in one machine with a single intel VGA:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
I also have an external monitor which works fine. I would like to use a third monitor through the SenseVision Club 3d usb to hdmi adapter (Chipset: DL-195).
http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/produc … apter.html
I'm using the udlfb module with the option: fb_defio=1
The monitor attached to the usb to hdmi adapter turns green when the machine starts.
The problem is that I'm able to use only one adapter at the time. So I can use the integrated monitor and the external one attached to the intel VGA or the monitor attached to the usb to hdmi adapter but not all of them together.
Here is my xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
Identifier "intel"
Driver "intel"
# BusID "PCI:0:2:0"
EndSection
Section "Device"
Identifier "dl1"
Driver "fbdev"
# BusID "PCI:0:3:0"
Option "fbdev" "/dev/fb1"
EndSection
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "monitor0"
EndSection
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "monitor1"
EndSection
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "monitor2"
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "screen0"
Device "dl1"
Monitor "monitor0"
#DefaultDepth 16
#DefaultDepth 24
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "screen1"
Device "intel"
Monitor "monitor1"
#DefaultDepth 16
DefaultDepth 24
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "screen2"
Device "intel"
Monitor "monitor2"
#DefaultDepth 16
DefaultDepth 24
EndSection
Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "multihead"
Screen 0 "screen0" 0 0
Screen 1 "screen0" LeftOf "screen1"
Screen 2 "screen1" LeftOf "screen2"
Option "Xinerama" "on"
EndSection
Switching the screen0 and screen1 positions in the xorg.conf makes work the intel vga. The current configuration enables only the usb monitor. The screen2 is discarded by the xorg stating that none monitor is attached to the device.
I also tried to tinker with the BusID values. Specifying BusID "USB" makes the xorg crash.
Is it possible at all to use three monitors at the time with the current state of art? Any success story with this setting?
Could you please share your working xorg.conf if you have any?
Any suggestion?
Thank you very much.

Apparently yes,
According to the thread:
To restore to the old behaviour, put this in your ~/.drirc:
<driconf>
  <device screen="0" driver="i915">
    <application name="Default">
      <option name="vblank_mode" value="0" />
    </application>
  </device>
</driconf>
But I don't come back to the same perfs as before (tested with eternal lands).
I noticed that in my /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
(WW) intel(0): Register 0x61200 (PP_STATUS) changed from 0xc0000008 to 0xd0000009
(WW) intel(0): PP_STATUS before: on, ready, sequencing idle
(WW) intel(0): PP_STATUS after: on, ready, sequencing on
(WW) intel(0): Register 0x71024 (PIPEBSTAT) changed from 0x00020202 to 0x00020000
(WW) intel(0): PIPEBSTAT before: status: VBLANK_INT_ENABLE VSYNC_INT_STATUS VBLANK_INT_STATUS
(WW) intel(0): PIPEBSTAT after: status: VBLANK_INT_ENABLE
There seem to be some problem with mtrr
I found this problem which seems related but I only have 2GB of memory

  • Only black screen on the external monitor with intel-virtual-output

    Hello,
I tried to install bumblebee on my Lenovo W520 with this tutorial:
    http://www.unixreich.com/blog/2013/linu … ly-solved/
I can activate my external monitor with "intel-virtual-output" and the monitor is switching on. But I can only see a black screen.
In the settings of gnome I can see my external monitor and configure it - but it shows nothing.
    Have you any ideas?
    Thanks a lot!

Lol, figured out the first part. Just for those who may be searching, when you click on the Display Preferences, and click on the arraingment tab... it not only shows where your two screens will be displayed, but the WHITE BAR at the top of one screen is the dock/toolbar. Click and hold to grab this and just slide it over to the screen you'd like it to be on.
You have to release it IN the screen box, not on top of it... and it should pop right over to the new (or old) screen. At any rate, you can put the dock on either (or any) screen that you prefer.
I am thinking of ordering more of these. Lol. 3 monitor setup seems like it would be crazy good.
Still looking for the answer to keeping the new 16" screen on the right without switching between screen #s with that... not expose... Lion feature.
Thanks. Hope my other question has an answer out here.

  • Triple boot with XP and 7

I know that this isn't technically Boot Camp, since I'll be using rEFIt for my boot loader, but I'm hoping somebody in here can help me.
I carved out 3 partitions using diskutil and formatted 2 of them FAT so I could load windows on them. I got rEFIt installed and it is working fine. I installed XP on the last partition (because I read that Windows needed to be on the last one and was hoping 7 was smarter) and verified that it was bootable. REFIt was working fine on it. I installed 7 on the middle partition, but when I choose to boot to that partition from rEFIt it says it can't find NTLDR. The interesting part is that if I pick the last partition for XP, the boot NTLDR shows up and I can select with Windows 7 or the previous version of windows.
What I want to do is get the boot loader for 7 fixed to point to the right partition for NTLDR so that I can use rEFIt to choose my OS. I know that I could just boot to the XP loader and then choose 7, but it isn't a pretty.
Thanks for any input or advice.

    Hi KWarp,
here a guide on how-to triple boot OSX, XP and Vista http://guides.macrumors.com/Triple_Boot
Replacing Vista with Windows 7 should be no difference.
To my knowledge Windows can not be booted from an external harddisk and I don't think that Microsoft has changed that with Windows 7 (although I like to be wrong on that ).
Intel-Macs don't have a BIOS but use its successor EFI.
Tools for 'fumbling' with EFI are restricted to Apple Technicians.

  • Connecting two Acer monitors with VGA and DVI output to my Macbook Pro (mid 2010)

    Hi All,
I need to connect 2 Acer monitors that have both VGA and DVI ports to my MacBook Pro.  What's the best way to do that?
    Thanks for your help!

hey! Thats normal for notebook! That actually happens to almost all of us - as there are a small fraction of people with two and more thunderbolt displays or with newest rMBP and external multi-monitor setup.

  • How would I monitor with FIREPOD and not software monitoring?

    Sound confusing?
OK I'm using a Firepod. If I disable software monitoring (to reduce latency) how do I monitor through the Firepod? I lost the manual so that's why I'm asking here.

If you are trying to monitor the Firepod w/ no Latency, simply turn the input/playback knob either to the middle (to hear already recorded tracks + your input) or hard left for input only. Arm the track in Logic, then use the headphone jack or listen through your monitors.
This should give you latency free monitoring with no problems. I do this all the time after tracking w/ a board for seperate monitor mixes, since the firepod doesn't support that.

  • Second Monitor with nVidia and Openbox

I am going to be picking up a second monitor this afternoon, and I am wondering how easy it will be to set up. Can I just run the nVidia xorg configure command and will that do most of it for me? I also noticed there are different methods of using 2 monitors. Is twinview the best or should I look at something else?

GUI works fine and i always run nvidia-settings as root.
    su -c 'nvidia-settings'
    or just apply a alias
    alias nvidia-settings='su -c 'nvidia-settings''
    Good Luck!

  • Triple monitors with Macbook Pro Mid-2014

Despite having three video ports (two Mini DisplayPorts and one HDMI) I can't get three monitors (HP EliteDisplay E231, 1920 x 1080) to work with my brand new Mid 2014 MacBook Pro 15-inch 2.2GHz with the Intel Iris Pro video controller. I've seen videos on youtube of people successfully connecting three monitors to older 2013 MBPs. What am I doing wrong?
I don't understand what the issue is, the Intel Iris Pro can address over 1GB of memory, that's more than enough to drive 6.2 million pixels, and the thunderbolt 2 ports are 20 Gbit/s each!
Multi Stream Transport seems to be broken in Mac OS X. I've also looked at USB 3.0 Video Adapters, but there are no Thunderbolt to USB hubs, and it appears that Apple broke all the drivers for DisplayLink adapters. I've even tried a Matrox triplehead2go dp edition, but even that doesn't work correctly, the matrox controller software won't let me drive all three monitors at 1920x1080.
I have an HP EliteBook 9470m with an Intel HD 4000 that has no problems driving these three monitors.
Seriously, what the ****? All I want is three monitors to work.

Yes that is exactly the configuration I used, these are the cables I purchased from amazon:
    StarTech.com 6 ft Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Adapter Cable M/M - DisplayPort 4k with HBR2 support
Gefen DVI to HDMI Cable 6 feet Male-Male

  • Multiple Monitors with T440p and Pro Dock

Hello:  I recently recieved my new business computer from our company offerings.  I got a T440p with the Pro Dock station.  Previously I had something similar that I got two years ago.  On the old system I was able to connect three monitors to the docking station (VGA, Digital, Display Port) and I could use any two at a time.  On the new system, if I plug anything into Display Port (even with that monitor turned off), the Digital port becomes disabled.  So I can't seem to use my "any two of three monitor" scheme without unplugging in one and plugging in another to the docking station.  Is there another solution for this? Thanks.  mbb.

According to this: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd029622 I also have a Pro-dock (judging from the port layout) and it should be possible to use 3 monitors in any combination. But I can't get windows to activate VGA, DVI + Display Port. I got VGA + Mini Display Port + DVI working, but not reliably: When undocking and using the laptops build-in monitor, the multi display configuration can become invalid. Getting this configuration to work is a hassle, as multiple tries are needed and the configuration information in the Intel configuration dialog is wrong and the one in windows is ambiguous. Configuring Display Port + VGA works with-out problems. Display Port + DVI is difficult to achieve. Any help is approciated.

  • External 1080p LCD Monitor with Intel iMac

I have a 17" Intel iMAC. I would like to connect it to a new 40" 1080p LCD Monitor/TV. With the mini-DVI cable, and DVI to HDMI cable, will I be able to view 1920X1080 resolution on the external monitor? Will I be able to use both mirror and extended display modes? I am aware the internal graphic card can support up to 1920X1200 resolution.
    Thanks.
iMAC Intel Dual Core   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Welcome to the discussions!
You should be able to see it in the full 1920 x 1080 resolution. You can use either mirrored or extended desktop, but not both at the same time. It is an "either/or" proposition.
Does this new display have a DVI port? I would use that if possible. I understand that HDMI is digital, but you will not get a better picture by using it over standard DVI. HDMI is DVI plus audio.

  • Dual Monitors with GPU and Motherboard not working

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else could help me out.
So, I decided to hook up an old monitor of mine to my rig today and, lo and behold, the monitor isn't being detected by my computer.
I've already got a monitor running through my GPU (NVidia GTX 960) via DVI.
Currently tried connecting my second (old) monitor to my motherboard with DVI as well, but it isn't being detected.
I went into my bios and forced my integrated graphics on, but when I checked in the device manager, it said my VGA graphics adapter "Cannot start (Error Code 10)"
Also tried updating VGA graphics adapter drivers, but I had the latest drivers already.
I'm not sure if that's related to the issue, but I thought it'd be worth mentioning.
(What's also worth mentioning is that I'm a complete casual when it comes to computer building and such, lol)
Motherboard is a Gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3, supports VGA, DVI and HDMI.
Monitor that I'm trying to connect supports both DVI and VGA.

A lot of the 960's don't have 2 DVI's. However most have an additional HDMI and DisplayPort. I recommend you get an adapter from amazon or something. Just make sure that it will convert HDMI or DP to DVI. Usually amazon products have a good amount
of questions already answered by buyers.
Interesting that they'd go that route, I guess I just assumed since my 760 has two.
I've set up dual monitors using one DVI and one HDMI before, but I ran into issues with screen sizing. Despite having two identical monitors set at the same resolution the mouse would not transmit over to the second monitor at the same height as it was on
the first, so I had to buy an adapter like Joshua suggested.

  • Enormous bug with intel and hdv

    dear Friends,
I discovered a bug testing my octocore intel with compressor.
Unfortunately, encoding a file from hdv to m2v, an intel processor is 4 times slower than a non-intel processor,
    ...only in this case...!
An 1,30 minutes clip needs 12 minutes with a power book and the same file needs 45 minutes with an octocore 3.00 ghz...i tried other solutions swapping the disks (system and storage) from one machine to another but the problem remain in the same machine....
    ...awaiting for an apple resolution....

What version of Compressor are you using? I seem to recall some post about this awhile back...don't remember if an update helped...I think it did.

  • Parrellels with intel and vista vs XP

I have parrellels and I installed it on my intel G5. I had XP installed (this was the upgrade version from W98) but everything crashes programs won't run at all. I think it's because I don't have the XP second edition native. If I buy Vista will I be in better shape or should I try to find a copy of XP? Anyone with hints? I'd appreciate advice.
    Leslie

    Leslie,
Just a quick note, the G5 Processor is not an Intel Mac...the G5 Processor was the predecessor to the current generation of Intel Macs, they are not the same thing.
Please note that the Apple Support Forums are designed to provide support for Apple or Apple Branded products and not third party applications or hardware, for specific support regarding a third party product you may be better off contacting the manufacturer for support.
Per the requirements for Parallels you need to have an Intel Processor to properly run the application...
    http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/sr/
You may simply be having problems due to the fact your G5 isn't truly compatible.
    Hope this helps,
    David
