Trouble printing out correct colours

Hi all,
I'm trying to print out a DVD cover that I've made in after effects (I'm not too good on PS). It's a brown leather book. I've loaded it into PS as a jpg and I've tried to print it out to my printer, but it's coming out really red, almost magenta. The darker spots are especially poor.
The printer si a HP with 6 ink cartyridges. It's not particularly good, but I expected a better result.
I didn't really understand all the print options in PS, but tried a few. Most look quite similar.
I'm printing to some Ryman's own, double sided matte photo paper, but I've also tried other paper.
I also tried a normal photo and it didn't look too bad.
Is there anything I can do to try to get a better colour representation?

Try using the HP paper that the company recommends for the printer. HP tests their paper with their colors to ensure good a match. Also there should be (not sure) a printing option to select the HP drivers to use for printing and not adobe. Also check to see if RGB is selected for printing.

Scanned documents do not print out correctly on forms.

I scanned a pdf file to my computer. I opened the pdf file on my computer using Adobe Reader. I printed the file using my printer. The pdf file did not print out correctly. Yes, the scanned PDF size is the same as the paper size in my printer. Everything worked fine for the past year. The only thing I had changed was I purchased a new wireless HP printer/scanner. Before, I was using an USB cable. While troubleshooting my issues, I have somehow caused Adobe Reader X to quit working. I cannot open any PDF files. I get a message about system configuration is not compatiable.

Pages are not printing out correctly. I have tried to fix in the options, with no luck. It prints out with spaces in between the letters.

When I go to print any page from an email, webpage, pdf file..the pages print out very wide fonts to the point where it is unreadable. I have tried to fix in the options with no luck. I can provide you with visuals if you need me to.

Trouble printing the correct dimensions.

Hello everyone.Apologies in advance if this a rather basic query. I'm using CS5 on Windows.
I created a photoshop file using the International Paper settings A4, which is 297 by 210 and 150 pixels per inch.
I've used the whole area around the document but I left around a 5mm margin around the edge of the document.
When I come to print the document does not appear to be scaled correctly in the print preview, and then when I come to print on A4 paper measuring exactly 297 x 210 a large part of the image is chopped off at the bottom.
Can anyone explain to me why Photoshop seems to indicate it is a 297 x 210 file but when it comes to printing it is not scaled correctly?
LIkewise how I can fix this and avoid it in the future? Many thanks.

Generally speaking, if you make your image so that it fits within the printable space on the printer, and don't use the [ ] Scale To Fit Media option, it should print at exactly the right size. But it will print your image inside the printable space - right up to the edges of it.
I think your trouble is that you're trying to anticipate the non-printable space and put it inside your image.
Figure out what your printable space is, and try making your image just that size.

Cannot print out correct colors using Mac and Epson Artisan 1430

I recently switched from using Illustrator on my PC to using Illustrator on my IMAC. My display on the PC and the display on the IMAC show the graphics in the exact same colors. When I print a graphic from my PC in Illustrator on my Epson printer it is identical to the display on my PC. When I print the same graphic from my IMAC on my Epson printer, the color is not the same - it is a bit off. I have tried everything - what should I do?

Just checking, was this the driver you downloaded?

Trouble printing the correct size of PDF doc

I print large files of legal and letter PDF. Something changed and now when I queue it all to print, the legal size is not printing the entire doc. If I queue one page to print at a time, it prints perfectly.

If this is happening with TextEdit then there is an Apple KB article that states;
"By default, when you print a document, TextEdit places line breaks at the same places as
they were on screen. If the lines are too long for the paper you’re printing on, TextEdit
reduces the size of the font until the lines fit. For example, if the document window is
very wide, TextEdit must reduce the font size until the lines fit.
You can have TextEdit keep the font size the same, and change the locations of the line
breaks instead by selecting "Choose Format" > “Wrap to Page.”

Sales order texts - only printed correctly on repeat print out

Hi all,
We have an issue, where on the first printout through VF31 of a sundry billing document, the material sales text maintained in French is not printed, even though the language in the customer's master data is French, the material sales text in the sales document is maintained in French and in VOTXN the access sequences are maintained for all languages.
I first checked this post Sales order text determination which unfortunately didn't resolve the issue (although a very interesting discussion).
The strange part is, when we do a repeat print out through VF31 selecting procession mode 2 (Repeat Processing) the document is printed WITH the material sales texts correctly. For me even stranger is that the repeat printout uses the same output type as the initial printout. I am now officially lost. Would any of you have any idea, where the issue lies here?
I would try to change some setup in VOTXN, but knowing that the repeat print out does print the texts correctly, let's me think there might be a different issue.
Any idea are very welcome.

Edit: when we copy the text and make it "Dutch", for some reason it's printed out correctly on the first printout. Although I cannot find any restriction, where Dutch is specified specifically, nor do I see where French is excepted specifically.

Suda -- will try out your suggestion. Gordon - in answer to your question, we actually go from Sales Order to A/R Invoice (Draft) to A/R Invoice.
We use the A/R Invoice (Draft) as our packing slip and skip Delivery module altogether.
I realize this is a bit unconventional but seems to work best for our business practice.

ERROR ON PURCHASE ORDER PRINT OUT

hi gurus, i need your help. i have a purchase order that i copied from the standard , i haven't modified it and when i print preview it , it looks ok, but when i send it to the printer the format is black and white, my boxes are are not printing , as in box outlines for my windows. i copied the same standard form and used it as an RFQ and its printing out correctly. what could the problem be?
i am using an HP office Jet 9000 colour printer. My purchase order is in sapscript, which i copied standard medruck.

Notes are seen on service.sap.com not R/3. Please go to service.sap.com ->in SAP Support Portal click on link SAP Note search then in front of number, give the note number and click on ">>" button.
In R/3 you can see whether these notes are implement or not. Basis people see it in transaction SNOTE and the in note browser, you give note number and press F8. If this note is avl, it means it is already implemented.
I still suggest to change config to standard to suspect your programs too. Notes would help to solve problem in standard objects only.

Export to PDF and print same swatch colour - different variation of colour on printouts

I have multiple documents - they are all set up the same way.
I have 2 or 3 swatches in each of them -namely Rubine Red is giving me an issue - this is the same swatch in every document!

I've also exported the document to IDML - and I've unzipped that folder. I've read the information for the colour - there's only 1 reference to Rubine Red and that's giving the same percentages as the InDesign file.
I don't know where the 2nd shade of pink is coming from.
But I suspect that it's from the print driver itself.
Also - just occured to me, I lost my PDF settings a while ago, InDesign crashed and the PDF defaults were missing - I dowloaded a copy of a set from someone on these forums through a google search.
But I no longer have PDF x4 export option - where can I retrieve these.
How can I restore the original PDF settings for InDesign?

Trouble printing selected page range as handout

I am trying to print for a keynote but only want a selected page range and just cannot seem to get it to work. When I go into print and select under the pages tab the "from" button and type the range ( eg 184-189 ) I only get the option of slides with notes or outline. I want to pront as a handout with 2 or 3 sldes per page. The preview shows no pages selectde and it is unable to print.
I've tried highlighting the slides I wish to print and trying that but to no avail. The silly thing is I did manage to get it to work this way once but now it doesn't seem to work that way. I'm frustrated as I don't want to print the whole presentation off and throw away the sheets I don't need as it seems to defeat the object of page selection. I also don't want to watse ink by having one slide per page.
Any help will be gratefully received.

I have this issue with my printer also
my work around is to delete the pages I dont want printed, save this version as a separate file and the pages I want print out correctly.

Color Laserjet 2605dn printer with printing envelopes correctly

I am having problems with my HP Color Laserjet computer which is not printing envelopes from the computer which has Windows 8.1 installed on it. It will print out letters just fine now, but had problems with that previously, using WordPerfect Suite. The printer is a Color Laserjet 2605dn, which is connected to my home network. The same problem seem to be happening on my mini laptop which is running Windows XP. I just fixed the printing problem on my windows 7 computer and had to print my envelopes using it. The HP Mini Laptop use to print out my envelopes just fine previously, but have the same problem. On the Pavillion Sleekbook, which is the newest I have the special print software from HP which lets me print paperwork where the others are not using it. I would appreciate any help with this problem. The setup isn't correct and the envelopes don't print out correctly like they did previously.

Error in SD Invoice print out

Dear friends,
We have ECC 6.00 since 2007 and system dully upgraded as on 30.12.2010.
we have copied the client 300 production to 200 quality on 27.01.2011.
SD involice created before the client copy is showing the print out correctly as
value 10,000,00.00 in VF03 transaction and the same in print out.
SD involice created AFTER the client copy is showing the print out as
value 10,000,00.00 in VF03 transaction and the print out is hsoeing as 10.000.00,00.
Print out is customized program. we have checked all the aspects including printer driver, spool, program, etc.
Invoice before 27.01.2011 shows correctly in print out but Invoice created after that is wrong.
We have tested in 300 & 200. Smae problem.
BUT WE HAVE CHECKED IN 120, AND IT IS OK.
We look any advise to check further from you..

First of all check after how many numbers wheather decimals are being used. and is it is a customized program , it is advised to discuss with your technical consultant. and ask your technical consultant to look into the program correctly
As it has been copied from one client to another client , so it is advised to check wheather the customized program Transports are copied completely or not.So also reach your Basis team to get the information

This can be the result of selecting the wrong driver. An older, unsupported laser printer will sometimes work with the generic Postscript driver.
