Trouble Running Aptana Studio

Hi All
I've installed Aptana Studio but getting this error message on start up
An internal error has occurred.
No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME not set)]
I did
export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/mozilla
And still getting the error.
Anyone any suggestions
Cheers

My advice, buy a "real" mouse
I traded in Apple mouse (and then keyboard) ages ago. I wear out keyboards, and once I used a 5-button, there was no going 'back.'
New Boot Camp? other than 3.1?

  • Trouble running 3D Studio Max

I recently put Bootcamp and Windows 7 on my iMac and I installed 3D Studio Max 2010 -- its the only program I want to use on Windows. The magic mouse does work basically under Windows but it won't scroll and so I can't zoom in Max and also the delete key on the little silver keyboard won't work so I have to go up under the edit menu -- on an extended keyboard its the 2nd delete key which is off to the right that works. I read that a new edition of Bootcamp will come out and solve the zoom/scroll problem -- but meanwhile I am being driven crazy. Can anybody please help this Macgirl -- I wouldn't have gone anywhere near Windows if it wasn't for Max:-)
    Thanks so much.

Do you have Java or JavaScript problems?
Can you provide some code sample/steps to reproduce this?

  • Aptana Studio 1.x and Firefox 2.x [SOLVED]

Those of you who have had problems with FF 2.x and new Aptana Studio, here's the solution:
you need to set the MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME env var to point to /opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-2.0.0.11, not /opt/mozilla/bin as some have suggested elsewhere. On Arch, this works.
Put the following lines into your ~/.bashrc:
    export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-2.0.0.11
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-2.0.0.11"
After you log out and back in, Aptana's internal preview should work.
    EDIT:
If you run Aptana as root to do the updates, remember to "su", not "su -".

    MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.1.13
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    ./AptanaStudio
it runs ok until i click "Open aptana start page" it goes unresponsive
    does anybody knows solution???

  • New mac mini and imac vs powermac G5 running FCP studio

I want to compare running the FCP suite on the new max minis and imacs that came out today vs what I am currently using:
Currently I am running FCP Studio on a Powermac G5 dual 2GHz with one gig of ram. I believe the frontside bus is 1GHz. I believe the stock video card isan ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (AGP 8X Pro) video card with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM.
With this being said, is it safe to assume that the new entry level mac mini would surpass my G5 in terms of performnce in both video (NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with128MB or 256MB of shared DDR3) memory processing (intel core2 duo 2GHz)?
If not would the two low end Imacs (using NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of shared DDR3 memory) and processing power handle FCP studio better than my current powermac G5 setup listed above?
I am wondering because I spoke to a apple sales person who transfered me to a system engineer that said I'd have a slow time rendering video on FCP with the mac minis as well as the 2 low end imacs. This may be but Im wondering if it is still better than what I am using
I appreciate your opinions, but please only answer if you really know,
    Thanks!

For FCP/FCS I would not save on anything but will get the max what my budget allow. You will be always doing more and the workflow in FCS will entice you to open almost all apps in FCS concurrently to make use of the advanced features. I think that the new iMac are powerful enough to handle FCS, but once again, the extra dollars will save you alot of pain. FCS is a pro app and is not to be underestimated. Good luck.

I run a studio here in Atlanta.  YEster day morning I called an Apple store to see if I could buy a copy of Mavericks.  They forwarded me to Apple Care.  Apple Care tech and myself could not find Mavericks anywhere on the app store.  Avid does not support Yosemiteam yet, so I had no other choice but to purchase Mountain Lion.  It has been over 24 hours waI ting on Apple to "ship" / email me a code to download from the app store.  I read a lot of horror stories from when they rolled out Mountain Lion in 2012 about it taking 72 hours to receive the codes.  I hope that maybe it doesn't take that l9ng this time because I am losing money by the minute.  Microsoft would have had a code to me in minutes.  This is just crazy.  I have used Apple products for years, but this is very disappointing.  Anyone else ordered Mountain Lion recently?  How long dI'd it take Apple to "ship" you your code via email?  Thanks

From what I've read on these forums over the past few months, it hasn't gotten any better. An electronic order from any company shouldn't take more than 12 hours for a system to respond to, but people have been waiting up to a week for their redemption code email to arrive. It makes no sense to me why it would take that long.

  • Trouble running DurableSubscriberExample

    Hi
I am having trouble running the "DurableSubscriberExample.java" that is in Appendix A of the "Java Message Tutorial" (http://java.sun.com/products/jms/tutorial/1_3_1-fcs/doc/client_samples.html#1002876)
These are the steps I followed:
    1. I compiled the classes - "DurableSubscriberExample.java" and "SampleUtilities.java".
    2. I stared the j2ee server.
    3. I created a topic called jms/Topic as follows:
    j2eeadmin -addJmsDestination jms/Topic topic
    4. I created a connection factory with a Client ID by copy-pasting the following from the tutorial (section 8.2.3) as instructed:
    j2eeadmin -addJmsFactory jms/DurableTopicCF topic -props clientID=MyID
    5. Then I specified the connection factory name and the topic name on the command line as instructed:
    java -Djms.properties=C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\config\jms_client.properties DurableSubscriberExample DurableTopicCF jms/Topic
This is the error I get:
JNDI API lookup failed: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: DurableTopicCF not found
    Any idea what's wrong?

I installed J2sdkee1.3.1 to Win98, I can startup the J2ee server. Once I typed j2eeadmin -addJmsDestination MyQueue queue, I got the following message :
    C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\bin>j2eeadmin -addJMSDestination jms/MyQueue queue

  • Best minimum iMac for running FCP Studio

A client of mine has hundreds of hours of tapes\film she wants to turn into a film. I want to set her up with an 'inexpensive' iMac powerful enough to run FCP Studio ...
I want to transfer (up-rez) all her footage to an HD ProRes format (not sure which yet), so she will be working in HD.
She needs to be able to view her footage and rough cut it into manageable chunks. Then I'll help her with the editing ... right up to final post-production, at which point we will move it into my studio which has all the bells and whistles.
So I'm looking for just enough power to capture all the footage, to work in HD, but not so much that she goes broke setting up an edit suite she may only use for this one film.
    All ears,
    Ben

Check the minimum system requirements for FCP Studio. That will tell you what minimum hardware is required to use it. According to the Apple site:
*Minimum System Requirements to Install All Applications*
Mac computer with an Intel processor
1GB of RAM (2GB of RAM recommended for working with compressed HD and uncompressed SD sources; 4GB of RAM recommended for working with uncompressed HD sources)
ATI or NVIDIA graphics processor (integrated Intel graphics processors not supported)
    128MB of VRAM
Display with 1280-by-800 resolution or higher
Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later
    QuickTime 7.6 or later
    DVD drive for installation

You should add your classes12.jar to your classpath. If you are using
Kodo's scripts, you should edit bin/jdocmd.bat to include your library.

i am having trouble running the latest version of adobe reader 10. i have adobe 9 which is fine but i'm not able to do certain things on certain sites without 10. how can i resolve this?

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Running Workshop Studio on Mac Os X

    Hi,
Has anybody managed to run Workshop Studio on Mac OS X?
I was able to install v3.3 with Linux installer, but when launching eclipse the "enter serial number" dialog appears, and after about 1 second the JVM dies.
    Any ideas appreciated,
    Henri Karapuu

NOTE: Workshop Studio isn't supported on Mac OS. Here are some pointers for a workaround (if any):
    - Before proceeding, check if the installation was successful - <Workshop-Studio>Workshop_InstallLog.log
    - Check the following logs for errors/exceptions:
    workspace\.metadata\.log
workspace\.metadata\.plugins\com.m7.nitrox\wstudio.0.log- What version of JDK is configured on your system? You can find this info in .log file (search for java.version & java.vendor)

I've downloaded and installed it repeatedly; yet when I try to open certain images online or play certain Youtube segments, I get the message, "You must have Adobe Flash 11..."  My computer tells me it is installed and running.

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 5.

  • Trouble Running Unit Tests on Device

I am having trouble running multiple unit test on my device. I am using JMUnit as part of NetBeans IDE 5.5.1. I can get the tests running in the emulator but when I try them on the phone they don't work. Under my project's properties->Application Descriptor->MIDlets->MIDlets in the Suite, the 'jmunit.framework.cldc11.TestSuite' comes up in red with the error 'Some MIDlet classes are invalid'. I am using CDLC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0. Any ideas?

    wegunterjrASI,
I have a few follow up questions for you to gain a better understanding of your application:
1). What are you using to do the unit test (NI’s unit test framework or VI tester from JKI)?
2). What are you conducting the unit test on (RT Driver or something on the host machine)?
3). Are the unit test VIs under the target in the LabVIEW project?
4). Are you able to run a simple unit test?
    Screenshots are always appreciated.

  • Trouble running jobs with scheduler

    Hello,
We have trouble running jobs with scheduler since we upgrade DS4 from 14.0.1.142 to 14.0.2.322. It works fine for several hours and then randomly jobs are not started. There is no error in the log.  In AL_RWJobLauncherLog.txt file,  there are no "RWJL_EXIT called" in that case :
    02_28_2012 09:30:00     CRWJobLauncherApp::InitInstance called.

Sever_eventlog file shows that job is not started. Whole server has to be restarted to get it to work again (restarting DI_JOBSERVICE is not enough). Could you help please ?
    Regards
    Annie

    Hi Annie,
Mmmhhh that doesn't make much sense to me, except if you have problems with the repository:
    1) Your JobServer or JobLauncher has problems executing jobs
=> reads the repository to get job information
    2) Your Management Console (independant from the JobServer - but on same machine) has problems
=> Is connected to the repository to show job status, adapters etc.
    3) The Tomcat which is hosting the Management Console is OK
=> No connection to the repository of DS.
Do you have any network or database problems? Can you put the database on the same server?
I could be wrong of course...just the only thing that comes to mind..
    Regards
    Norbert
    P.S:
What about compressing your repository and/or
1395641 - Will truncating the AL_HISTORY and AL_STATISTICS Table compromise the referential integrity of the repository?
There are half a dozen KBAs about these tables..
