Trouble with dateTime if data has Timezone information

I have a problem with inserting a document in a XMLType column. I get the following error message:
ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input stringI did some searching and the problem is the element which is a dateTime with Timezone information. If the entry oraxdb:SQLType="TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE" is added everything is correct.
The problem is that we dont want to edit the XSD because it was standardized. Is there another way to get around this error ( e.g. parameter or column definition, ... ) ?
Greeting
Alex

  • Trouble with DateTime

    Hi experts.
We are facing a trouble with DateTime in Java Server.
The OS (windows server) shows the hour 7:30 a.m. (non summer time)
However, in the graphical mapping, when I use currentDate, i get 8:30 a.m. (summer time)
    All time zones are equals.
Does anyone have an ideia how we can fix it?

    Hi Diego,
You might want to check the time settings of the SAP system you are working with. Your basis consultant can help you with this.

    Glenn

  • I'm having trouble with occasional high data consumption.  In November, I was told by Verizon I'd used 2 times my normal data.  Then again on Friday, Verizon told us we'd used approximatley 3 Giga Bytes on our Hot Spot.  Both of us had been working that d

We're having problems with occasional mega data usage on our 3G Hot Spot.

Power down your Jetpack while it is not in use, at least until you get your usage problem under control.  Bring your PC to a different area and see if you can let it sit connected for a while to complete whatever it is struggling with.

  • Bit stumped; data overflow error with DATETIME vs DATE or DATETIME2

I find myself in a slightly perplexing situation. In trying to replicate data to a SQLServer 2008 database I have no problems doing so for a date column on the Oracle side to either a DATE or DATETIME2 datatype on the SQLServer side. However, upon trying a DATETIME column I'm given the errors below. Essentially a -2147217887 but Goldengate marks it as a data overflow error. The thing is, a datetime2 is more like a TIMESTAMP column in Oracle and the DATETIME is essentially a DATE. Why it would work with a DATE (less precise) or DATETIME2 (more precise) yet not a DATETIME (same precision) is a bit of a head scratcher. The same defs file is used for each of the options.
Before anyone suggests using either destination datatype that works, I've no choice; it has to be a DATETIME column. The customer is always right, even when they are infuriatingly wrong.
Anyone seen this before or have any suggestions?
    Thanks very much in advance!!
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Is anyone else having trouble with Siri and date/time on iphone 5?

I have the iphone 5 on the sprint network and I have been having a lot of problems with the date and time and now Siri isn't responding. I make a request to Siri and it pops up on the screen but after a min or so of "thinking" she says she has incountered a problem. I have tried restarting the phone but nothing changes... Please tell me this is something I can fix...

I have not had this problem. I am new to Siri (with an iPhone 5 upgrade from an i4) and Siri has made a number of calls from my contacts. She asks, which John Doe (if I have more than one), which number (if I have more than one) and off we go.
Maybe, you have some setting wrong.

  • I am having trouble with PS6 - it somehow has become a trial of the extended edition

My purchased copy of PS6 suddenly statered showing a trial version screen when I launched it.  I uninstalled PS6, cleaned the registry, deleted the cookies and temp files.  I then re-download my copy of PS6 from the Adobe page, re-installed and it worked fine for two sessions. On the third session, once again the trial screen for the extended version (I bought the regular edition) appeared and either I elect to "continue trial" or quit, at wihcih time PS6 exits.  I just want to be able to use the Photoshop  I bought without the trial BS.  I paid for a full up version I want to use a fulup version.

Been having the same problem, but nothing works. Just started telling me my Creative Cloud software can't run due to an inability to validate. Tried entering the serial number for Creative Cloud. Says that serial number isn't valid. Tried entering my Photoshop CS5 serial number. Says that serial number isn't valid. Problem is, the licensing manager says that my trial has expired and so it will no longer let me use Photoshop. I'm a licensed Creative Cloud member and my software is no longer available. This is completely unacceptable. Adobe support is only available Monday through Friday during office hours. Designers don't work office hours. I'm now losing hundreds of dollars on a critical working weekend with a serious deadline and no software available for use. Completely unacceptable. People, avoid these cloud-based systems! You will suffer the consequences. Never again for me.

  • Trouble With Query Between Dates:

    Hello Again,
The query below is giving some trouble in that the line where 'CURRENT_DATE' is between 'START_DATE' and 'END_DATE.
The query returns records close to those dates but some missing on the END_DATE. I was wondering if there is 'time at play here? How is only the date component used for the search?
    select * from (
    SELECT TO_CHAR (LEAVE.START_DATE, 'DD-MON-YY') AS Start_Date,
    TO_CHAR (LEAVE.END_DATE, 'DD-MON-YY') AS end_date,

    LEAVE.DAYS as Days,
    LEAVE.SUPERVISOR as Supervisor,
    LEAVE.LEAVE_TYPE,
    FROM "LEAVE"
    WHERE CURRENT_DATE BETWEEN start_date AND end_date
    Kind Regards,
    Steve Welch

    Hi Steve,
You should be aware that the Oracle datatype DATE also includes a time component.
    select to_char(current_date,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') date_and_time from dual;
    DATE_AND_TIME
18-AUG-2011 13:29:49 Could it be that you are missing some records because they have a time which falls outside your condition?
    Regards

  • Trouble with Import Wizard - Date format

I am trying to import data from an excel file to a table using the Import Wizard. The verification of the import fails on the verification of the date column only, with the message that "Dater columns HOLIDAY_DATE, have invalid or null date formats"
There are no null / blanks in my xls file, and the date format in the xls file is dd/mm/yyyy. When this is imported through the import wizard, the date column shows the data, but the format shows the data in mm/dd/yyyy ??
Is there anything obvious I am doing wrong here?
    Thx

Well, not really a solution, but a work-around.
I created an extra field in the table, and loaded the date into that string field.
Then just updated the table using the follwoing code...simple, but much faster than trying to work out what the roblem was with the upload.
    UPDATE EU_HOLIDAYS
    SET HOLIDAY_DATE = TO_DATE(HOLIDAY,'DD/MM/YYYY');

  • Trouble with clock and date settings

    Hi Folks,
Every time I start my G5 I get a message telling me to set the clock and date settings. I set them as requested and save them and put the little lock on them, but next time I start the computer the same message appears.
Would anybody be able to assist please?
    Thanks in advance,
    Eddie

You might need a new battery. Go to http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and find your exact model - the manual should show you where it's located and which type you need to buy. They're not expensive.

  • Trouble with stored procedure date parameters in 10.2.0.2

    Hello,
i have I couple of procedures which were running perfectly on 10.2.0.1.
After the upgrade to 10.2.0.2 i get the error: ORA-01843: not a valid month ORA-06512: at "MASTERDBI.CREATE_OR_UPDATE_VER_INFO", line 65 ORA-06512: at line 1
This error is fired up, on an simple insert-stmt within the procedure. That means, that the date-parameter itself ist ok.
If I set the nls_date_format w/ "alter session...", then the procedure is running like before and everthing is fine. But this causes a big change on other programs. So I tried to set the nls_date_format w/in an schema.logon-trigger. But w/out success. The only solution is to set the nls_date_format explicit like in this example:
    begin
    execute immediate 'alter session set nls_date_format = "dd.mm.yyyy"';
    create_or_update_ver_info(
    10552,
    'VC BK Zuordnung',
    'TEST',
    sysdate,
    1);
    end;
It seems, that oracle converts the date-param into a string a back again into a date. But, the date format expected is the american date format. The date format delivered is the german format. And this causes the fault.
    Any comments...
    Kind regards
    Harald Simon

  • Trouble with Replication of Data

    Hai,
I've been working with Oracle8. In my project, I've to maintain two copies of the entire database. So, if a table is created in one instance, the same table should be created in the other instance as well. Similarly, whatever happens to the first database, should happen immediately to the other also. What I thought was, if I can catch the evnt that happens on one databse, then probably, I can do the rest. But how can I catch such an event? Whenever an object is created, it's details are stored in some sys objects like obj$. But I cannot write any triggers on sys objects. If I want to use snapshots, I cannot create fast refreshing snapshots on complex views and complete refreshing snapshots will not help me solve my problem.
If any of you can help me solve this problem, I'll be thankful.
    Arun.

Advanced replication can replication DDL (like CREATE TABLE) if done through the replication API
or Replication GUI (part of DBA Studio and 9i OEM Console).

  • Mountin Lion has trouble with external monitors

Not so much a question as a shout-out. Since going to Mountain Lion, my pretty new (February this year) MacBook has been having no end of trouble with external monitors. I use it a lot with the clamshell closed with two different external monitors of two different sizes, one at home, one at work. It sometimes thinks the one is the other, or if I unplug the monitor in sleep, when I later open the clamshell, the screen stays black and I have to force a reboot with the power button. Never had these problems with exactly the same set-up in Lion. Sometimes it also refuses to find a connected monitor or projector, I have to pull the dangle and put it in again.

If memory serves, one of the 'flaws' with BM's hardware is that it will not convert on-the-fly.  So if your sequence doesn't match what the TV is accepting, you get black.
For example, my TV will not accept 1080p, only 1080i, so working in a 1080p sequence would produce no image for me as the BM will only output exactly what's in the sequence, it can't convert my 1080p/24 sequence into 1080i/30 for output.
Now I'd expect your TV would have no trouble accepting a 720p signal but, maybe the above data will lead you down a path of investigation.

  • Anyone has experience with sun idm data exporter /warehouse funtionality ?

Anyone has experience with sun idm data exporter /warehouse functionality. There is not much documentation about how to debug it. I created everything like in the document. Everything seems running fine. I get the following the server tasks->Run Tasks
Data Warehouse Exporter      Data Warehouse Exporter      Configurator      executing
Prior to that i created database and 50 tables as it said in the doc.
I created accounts and modify email address. Nothing is getting to my warehouse database and i don;t know where to look for the errors. Any information is appreciated.

    Hi there,
I have been looking at the source code and I think I have found the problem.
IDM determines whether to update or create a resource account
by attempting to fetch the user from the resource.
If the user exists then update, otherwise create.
In the code, if the user does not exist, the code throws the
    exception: EntityDoesNotExist(1301)
The code then catches this exception
and then returns a null back to IDM,
indicating that the user does not exist.
Well, that is what the code says but this does
    not match its actual behaviour....
I then decompiled the actual class (jar) files
and the code there does NOT catch the exception,
so it bubbles up to IDM, which regards it as an error.
Soo, the jar file that is on the website has a bug in it.
The source code in SVN is correct, but it appears
that the jar file was not rebuilt.
I am attempting to rebuild a new version of the jar file...

  • Has anyone faced troubles with iPhone internal speaker?

Unfortunately, since I've bought my iPhone 4S less than 8 months, I'm facing troubles with the internal speaker of the phone.
It was enough just to restart the device to get the ringtone and speaker work.
But today, suddenly, the voice has disappeared again! I can hear the ppl calling me but no any other tones or rings r working.
I googled for a solution, and I was shocked that I found a lot of iPhone users r facing the same problem!
With all types of iPhone, seems it's been a long time problem with apple software that apple hasn't found a solution to it, nor admitting that they have such problem.
I need to get my phone fixed, but I do t want to lose my data, photos, a d programs..
And I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE MY PHONE AT A WORK SHOP! It's a HEADACHE?
So please if u have any other easy solutions to provide, I'll be so thankful.

Have you tried resetting your iPhone?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
A further troubleshooting step would be to backup your iPhone and then restore it as new using iTunes.
