Trouble with HTML
Hello,
I want to write a guestbook - applet for my website.
The applet contains a JTextPane and supports formatted
text like italic, bold etc.
So, when the user clicks some button, I want to update
a special html-file called guestlog.
Here I want to insert the formatted text from the Textpane
directly after the BODY-Tag.
My problem is that I didn't find out how to do that!
Is it possible to convert the Text from the textpane to HTML
and keep its format?
Codesamples are welcome!

Ok, here is what I already have (it's not very much!)
Important is method update().
My problem is that I just don't know how to insert code
after the Body-tag.
The code below creates a new BODY tag at the wrong place
(inside of <Head>).
I also tried to iterate through the document and retrieve
the Position of <Body> what also didn't work.
(Element.getStartOffset() returnd a value of 3 what I can't
apply to the HTML-file)

Having trouble with html snippets and movies in iweb 09
Hi I have built a site iweb2.0.4 and recently moved it onto my new machine with iweb 09 on. Basically I have been putting in videos that I have exported for web out of Quicktime. In the past I have simply added an html snippet code like this in <iframe src="http://evileducation.org/stammuraifinalcomp/ReadMe.html" style="width: 340px; height: 285px"; scrolling="no" controller="true" frameborder="0"></iframe>
I edit the ReadMe.html based on a tutorial I saw and it loads the movie after pressing the "Click to play" button. Now in 09 when I put the code in to the snippet it just shows a Quicktime symbol with a question mark. if you check the link below you can see the videos with the best I have managed to do so far which is get the new movies on but they both autoplay (I have linked in this instance to the 4kb .mov in each folder rather than the readme.html.). I don't want to just drag a video in I would like the options to view on phone or on computer etc and not for them to autoplay. Is there a new/ different way to do this now. Surely it shouldn't be this hard to get the export for web in Quicktime and iWeb to work together? The frustrating thing is if you check the link below the old movies work fine still it's just the 2 new ones. Soz for the long one!

PSE9 - having trouble with "html email sender verification" page
We have just purchased the PSE9. This is our first venture into a photoshop program. We are wanting to send some of our pictures to friends via email. Just after we push the "share" button, to create an attachment for the email, we get this page "html email sender verification." It contains in the first blank, our email address (given), a button "resend email", and a blank entitled " Sender verification." Below this box are the words:
"If this email address is not correct, or you would like to use a different e mail client, you can change your email settings by clicking Cancel and then choosing
Edit ->Preferences->sharing."
At the bottom right are two buttons, "OK" and "Cancel"
When we put in our email address into the "Sender verification" box, and press "OK" the next window is entitled "HTML Email Sender Verification" . The only words on the page for us are in red and they say:
"Your email could not be sent because an unkown error has occurred. Please try again."
Then we have the option of pushing the "OK" or "Cancel" button.
Can anyone help us get beyond this obstacle?
THANKS!!You need to enter the email id in preferences. Once you put it, you will receive a verification code. You need to put this verificaiton code in the sender verification window. This is required if you are using Adobe email service. You can change the email provider from sharing preferences.

Trouble with html on copyright page
I was wondering if anyone had the time to take a look at the source code on my copyright page. I have been using this page for years, and adjusting it when the need arises. I recently made some changes and, when I generate the project in RH6, I get an error message saying a Runtime Error has occurred.
I've played with the code all day today, to no avail. Perhaps I should call support? I'm not sure how to proceed. . .

First of all, I did import the source file, not the output file, into another project, though I repeated that exercise again to be sure that is what I had in fact done. With that clarified, I proceeded to take out the text as recommended by Willam. I did begin to realize that all my source files have this code.
After generating, I viewed the output files in both Firefox and IE6. In Firefox, I had no problems; In IE, the error remained. I decided to debug in IE, and (not being a programmer), I can only surmise that my results were that something was wrong with IE! I upgraded to IE8, and all went swimmingly from then on.
If someone can explain this more clearly, that would be terrific. . .in the meantime, thank you all for your help, as always.

An HTML snippet does not work once published to a website although it does work in the "view published site" option. Error message "Not Found URL requested". I use iWeb for my website and Firezilla to publish to www. Any solutions please?
This could be caused by the file in question not being uploaded to the server or an error in the URL.
You need to use your FTP app to have a look at the files on the server to see if the appropriate one is actually there and in the correct place. -
I'm having trouble with a virus or something which affects Google search results when I use Firefox on my PC ...
When I search a topic gives me pages of links as normal, but when I click on a link, the page is hijacked to a site called 'www.goingonearth.com' ...
I've done a separate search and found that other users are affected, but there doesn't seem to be a clear-cut solution ... (Norton, McAfee and Kaspersky don't seem to be able to detect/fix it).
I'd like to continue using the Firefox/Google combination (nb: the hijack virus also affects IE but not Safari) - do you have a patch/fix that could rectify the vulnerability in your software?

Trouble with "body" images lining up at the top
Hi, I am having troubles with the #body style in my web page. I have inserted a table into the #body area and the the body editable region will not line up on the top with the sideBar editable region when I add text and apply my css to it. Can you look at the code and let me know what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

</html>You have your image in the 'body editable region' wrapped in <p></p> tags (paragraph tags). <p> tags have padding and margin set on them by default.

You can either just remove the <p></p> tags or you can zero out the padding and margin:

Unfortuanately the above will target every paragraph on your page which might not be desirable so I would just remove the <p> tags as it is not necessary to wrap an image in them.
If you do want to keep the <p> tags then use some inline css to specifically remove the padding and margin on that particular one:

I am really in trouble with AP Div-How do I fix it on the web?

I am really in trouble with my website. I have added some pictures and text on top of Fireworks Image and have published it on the website.
But the concern is, when I zoom in & zoom out, I can see the previous text on the screen and also the picture and texts I have added using Ap Div tag are scattered moving all to the left when I zoom out. Can someone help me how to fix this in one particular place so that it doesn't move when I zoom in or zoom out!!! I am using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, if this will help.

1. Most of your content is in the images - this means that you will get very poor search engine ranking
2. Your extensive use of absolute positioning for layout - this means that when you enlarge the text size in the browser, you will have overflow problems on the page (for example, the terrible problems at the bottom of the page)
3. You have used tables for layout - this is because of your use of Fireworks to create the HTML
Each of these problems is solvable but none of them are solvable easily without a redesign of the page. A web page should be built from the top down, stacking content containers (i.e., <div>, <section>, <article>, <aside>, etc.) vertically or floating them horizontally or both. These containers would be loaded with the text content of the page, and images would be used only for cosmetic appearance. Using CSS to style/locate the content will allow you to completely move away from tables for layout. Most typical pages can be created without the use of absolute positioning which should be used only for special purposes, not for layout of the page elements. -

Having trouble with dreamweaver cs 6 spry tabbed panels, all content in each tab showes through like it was all created on one page, plus mouse over doesnt work on them.
This started all of a sudden.
The entire website is a series of spry tabbed panels.

if you click on Machine control tab, mouse over doesnt work and all page content of each tab show through.
ive been looking for the answer for 4 months with no success.

Thanks RickYou called it: your links to the SpryAssets are linking to your hard drive, not to the files within the folder on the server.

Trouble with Adobe CC desktop app and account
Hi. I'm having trouble with my Adobe CC teacher and student subscrition and the Adobe CC desktop application. On my Macbook, adobe CC desktop application doesn't recognize my adobe subscription, but on the Adobe web site page there is my account page and i see the FREE subscription and the Premium, correctly paid. I try to uninstall the Adobe CC desktop app and to logout of adobe cc folder, but when i reinstall the desktop app, it recognize the free subscription and not the Premium. Someone could help me, please?

Having trouble with Adobe Reader 9.5. Cannot open program; and cannot open a .pdf file. No error messages, just nothing happens. Tried to delete software and re-download. Cannot delete it - message says patch package could not be opened.
What is your operating system? If Windows, use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and reinstall Reader.

REF.: trouble with site in flash that should be visualized in
FULL screen as width/height parameters are set

seen it very small as a “miniature”
I simply cannot explain why some people report to see the
flash site very small with Internet Explorer as I visualize it here
in full screen.
To be honest with Firefox 2 the same happens here , it does
not open in full screen.

Trouble with slow Macbook Air. I have first generation MacBook Air and have a hard time keeping hard drive from being full. After trashing many docs, I have almost 5 gigs available, but mac is slow and I keep getting color wheel when I use Mail. Trouble with Time Machine/Time Capsule try Backup instead
Trouble with Time Machine preparing to download taking hogging your system followed by errors that don't make any sense even if you look at the console logs to try to figure out. Try Backup instead.

It allows you to configure when to do back ups and specific data you want, and includes templates for configurations to make it easy. The only catch is you loose the Time Machine benefits of restoring an individual file easily. For me it gets around the issues w/ Time Machine hogging my system resources (Finder at 98% CPU cycles both cores) while "preparing backup", followed by strange failures that can't figure out, followed by more "preparing backup".I was running backup instead of time machine until I saw snow leopard had time machine improvements. I'm very happy with the performance so far w/ snow leopard (OS X 10.6) time machine performance.

Auto Start up after Shutting down
I'm new to the Mac and am not sure of this is a normal issue or if there's a setting that I accidentally triggered. On my MacBook Pro when I shut down, it starts up again after shutting down. I'm not selecting restart and am not sure if I updated sof
