Try to run a QTP test multiple times simultan.

At first, i'm not an Native english speaker, so i'm sorry for misspelling and grammatical errors.
My Problem is, that i try to run one Test 10 or more times simultan in IE (In different pages,not just different tabs) to test how much user can use a website without crashing it.
Would be great if someone could explain me if that is possible and how that is possible.

All you have to di is put all of the parameters for each run into a cluster array. Surround your main program with a for loop and wire the cluster array through the for loop. A for loop will autoindex an input array so inside the for loop you just have to unbundle the cluster to get the parameters for each run.

Is it possible to copy the same database multiple times simultaneously?

This is the setup of my environment.
I have a 'master' database that contains the full schema plus some pre-populated data such as default settings. When database schema changes are made, they get made to the master database. When a new customer signs up for the service, I make a copy of this
master database (using SMO) that will now be the database containing all of the customer's information. The database is rather large, and the copy operation can take a couple minutes.
Everything works fine as expected, unless I try to provision two new customers at the same time. It appears that Azure only allows for one DB copy operation at a time. Is there a way to allow for copying the same database multiple times simultaneously?
Thanks for you input. I understand that this is likely not the optimal setup, and that there is many better ways of doing this, but I am somewhat heavily invested in the current process and I would like to find out how to make it work if I can.

Run same vi multiple times simultaneously

First post here on the forums and I was curious if someone could help me out with a problem I have been searching on for a while now.
I'm making a project for calculating GPS location based on an incoming signal. This signal is analyzed to see which satellites are in view. Now for every satellite in view the signal should be analyzed further with different parameters. I have a subVI for this, which takes these parameters and calculates the data the satellite has sent. For one satellite this works. I have to do this for every satellite in view though, and calculation time is very much a concern. This is why I would like to let the subVI run simultaneously for the different satellites. Also, this subVI has a feedback node in it, as it uses data from the previous analysis of the signal for that same satellite. Every time the subVI is called for this satellite it needs to take the correct parameters from the previous analysis of this satellite.
I have been trying to make this work, but didn't have any success yet. How can I make the subVI's run simultaneously, though without interferring with eachothers data and eachothers feedback nodes?
Any ideas or help are very much appreciated.

I would like to call all the subVIs (VI1) (all identical) that handle a signal from one satellite from one VI (VI2). This VI2 provides every copy of VI1 with the correct parameters for a certain satellite. VI2 is called in a loop in the main VI (VI3). So: VI3 provides a part (a certain amount of samples) of the main signal to VI2, VI2 sends that signal to different copies of VI1 together with some parameters, VI1 calculates one bit of data from the signal for one specific satellite (satellite number and other properties are in the parameters sent by VI2). VI2 takes all the bits from the different copies of VI2 and puts them in an array. It then sends this array to VI1. This array represents all the bits sent on one specific moment for all the satellites that were treated. The loop in VI1 makes sure this whole process is called for every new amount of samples collected.
I hope my explanation is clear enough for you to help me find a solution.

Why is the battery life dropping so fast on my iphone 4s. Just started all of a sudden today, never did it before. I already double-clicked the bottom button to see what was running and nothing was running. I checked multiple times and turned apps. off.

All of a sudden today my battery life just started dropping off on my iphone 4s. I charge it every night. I double clicked the circle button on the bottom to see what was running and there was minimal running but i turned them off anyway. I checked back in a little bit, the same, turned the couple things off again which were like phone and messages... nothing major running. Battery percentage still plummeted til it just turned off.

Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup?

How do I design software to test multiple devices simultaneously and indpendently?

I have a fixture for burning in up to 10 Controllers. I’ve written a VI to test one of the controllers but I’m not sure what approach to take to write the software for burning in up to 10 Controllers independently.
The fixture's computer uses USB/GPIB with a 34970 Agilent Switcher and a junction box to switch CAN communications on and off between the computer via a 8473 USB/CAN converter and any one of the 10 controllers.
Each controller burn-in cycle is 50 hours and I need to be able to burn-in Controllers independently, including being able to start a burn-in for any of the 10 Controllers at any time. Also I need the capability to have any number of Controllers burning in, from 1 to 10 at any time. So for example I might want to start a burn-in for a Controller then 2 hours later start a burn-in on another Controller. Each burn-in would end 50 hours later at which time I might or might not start another Controller in that station while other Controllers are somewhere in their 50 hour cycle.
Also during the 50 hour burn-in every minute or so I would like to connect the CAN, in turn, to each station in use to send and receive CAN commands to acquire data which would be stored into a separate file for each Controller.
In addition to help on the approach to take, I also would like help on how to create ten 50 hour timers, one for each station that would start whenever a controller burn-in starts and end after 50 hours. This is my second large Labview Project.

I've decided to use a Producer-Consumer architecture for this project, but it is my first experience with one and I'm having a problem.
To operate the program as I have so far:
1. Select an active device button (1 of 10)
2. Select "Start Burn In"
3. (May repeat process for any or all of the active device buttons - all 10 can be active at once)
4. To stop burn in for any device select "Stop Burn In" for the selected active device button.
The way I have it shown in 1.VI it does what I expect. But when I try to add code in the "TimeCheck" case of the Producer loop things do not work.
This can be shown by removing the disabled loop in "TimeCheck".
The intent of data in the "TimeCheck" case is to run continuously for all loaded devices as individual devices are started and stopped, or stop automatically after 48 hours.
As an alternate approach, I also tried putting the code I have in the "TimeCheck" case directly into the "TimeOut" event, but I couldnt get that to work either. Notice in 2.VI I tried just putting a while loop into the "TimeOut" event and it doesn't execute.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

CFSchedule firing multiple times

Hi Everyone,
i still have not found a solution to this. if anyone has any

i have had issues since upgrading from 6 to 7 with
cfschedule. sometimes it runs fine, other times it will run the
same task multiple times in a row, other times it will wait an hour
then run the same task again.
This may not sound like a big deal, but the tasks send out
several thousands of emails. talk about spam!!
I have been screamed at on a weekly basis to make this stop.
Now since the the DST change, the tasks that were scheduled
at 3pm run at 3pm and again at 4pm!!

If you notice i commented out the file write. something was
puzzling about it, it would write fine for an hour then once in
awhile write multiples (by comparing the date created on the file
in windows.
I then found the calls in my IIS log file, every single call
was done twice at exactly the same time.

So i decieded to make it send an email, this way there is a
queue so to speak for the messages to be written, i think this is
why i saw speratic multiples with cffile.

So far, i am only getting 2 copies for every fire of the
task, but i have seen in other tasks that email, up to 6 copies.
i can see this in IIS Logs, the test cfm file being called at
least twice per task for long periods, then other tasks will fire
and i only see a single call to the test cfm file. but its next
execution time is duplicated if there is no other tasks running
during the same time period
I have dug through all the logs for each task, so far all of
the task that have no end date fire multiple times.
I can see the results (files written, db records inserted,
emails sent, IIS log files).
all show duplicates during same creation time Except the
scheduler.log it only shows each of those tasks firing once.
I can only assume that the scheduler log is being updated
correctly which leads me to belive that this log entry is done some
time before the scheduler payload execution or the scheduler code
dosnt log multiple triggers on its actions.
So i am going to set the End date for this test task to see
if the duplicates stop.

Error message trying to run Parallels for the first time

Hi,
I've got Vista Ultimate installed on my MacBook Pro via Boot Camp. It works great.
I'm using the 15-day Parallels trial, and every time I try and run it for the first time, it gives me the same error.
After trying to run Windows, it says
"Error: 0xc0000225
Windows failed to load because the firmware (BIOS) is not ACPI compatible."
I have no idea what this means. I ran Boot Camp normally and everything seemed to work fine.
Any ideas?

Javascript void 0 error when I try to run animation in an online tutorial

I am using Firefox 4 and I am trying to take an online tutorial on Excel 2003. The website is:

When I try to click Play so the animation shows me the example, nothing happens and all I see at the bottom of the screen is the javascript void 0 message. Also, when I try to run the practice test, I get the error that Firefox does not allow Active X controls. I checked the Tools options to ensure that java is enabled, but still no success. What can I do? I look forward to your advice.

I narrowed it down by running a report excluding working journals and that worked fine.
This was being caused by an invalid working Journal. I exported all journals from Prod, and tried loading them to test. One of the errors was
"Line: 7736, Error: Invalid parent.child entity dimension specified"
Looking at the row the journal did not have an entity specified for one of the lines.
When a valid entity was specified the journal report then starts working.
Lesson. Check all journals are valid. To find error, load journals export in a different environment.

Sometimes Sound does not play when playing multiple Sounds simultaneously

This is also a best practices question, too.
I built a game that uses a lot of different sounds (about 48 I think). Many are short, less than a second, and a few are longer, music cues, etc.
Example problem: Sometimes when there are a lot of sounds playing and a music cue is suppose to fire, the music sound doesn't play. I made a trace on the function that plays the music sound, and that function does execute. Are there limits on how many sounds can be playing simultaneously? (This doesn't only happen to a particular sound , could be any sound)
Also, as far as best practices, If there is a sound that could be played multiple times simultaneously, should a new instance of that sound be created each time its played? If there is only one instance of that sound, will the previous playing of that sound be cancelled when called to play again?

I guess I could add channels to an array as they start and remove them from the array when they are done playing to keep track. That way when an important sound, like a music cue, is suppossed to play I can check the array stop enough sounds to allow the music cue to play. Hopefully it wont be too much overhead with all those listeners.

Run invoke-command on multiple machines at the same time

Hey all so I read that if I store my New-pssession in a variable then used that in my invoke-command it would run all computers at the same time.

So what I think you are doing wrong here is that you are overwriting the value in $Session everytime you executed code inside for loop. try the below:

My touch screen isn't working and stopped working after I went running with it. I have restarted it multiple times and restored it on my MacBook. It will still not let me slide it to even look at the phone. Please help ASAP.

I took my iPhone running today and when I returned I was not able to slide it open or type in my pass code. All buttons are still responding. It would be much better if you had separate drives for the pictures and Time Machine backups.....but, if you want to use the same drive for both purposes, temporarily move the folder with the pictures to another location for safe storage.
Run the Time Machine backup on the hard drive and verify that everything is working correctly. Time Machine will format the disk for you in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as part of the backup process.
Then move the folder with the pictures back to the hard drive with the Time Machine backups.
When you have tested to make sure that everything is working again, then and only then should you delete the folder with pictures from the temporary storage area.
Again....it would be much better to keep Time Machine backups on a drive just for that purpose, and other data on another drive for that purpose. This is clearly one of those times when the fact that you can do something does not mean to imply that you should do it.
