Trying to connect client to JMS server
Hello,
I'm trying to do a client program that reads messages from a queue placed in another machine.
The queue is running in a machine using SunONE MQ 3.0, and broker is running in port 7979. I'm using a File System Object Store on this machine.
Is it possible to create a client program (on a different machine) that listens to this queue? I know it's possible if the JMS uses LDAP Object Store, but I don't know if that's possible when we use File System Object Store.
In case it's possible, which properties should I use to initialize InitialContext() and do the context.lookup()?
Thanks
You can connect to a remote broker using either the
LDAP Object Store or the File System Object Store.
You will find information in both the Develper's Guide:
http://docs.sun.com/source/817-0355-10/adminobj.html#34151
and Administrator Guide about the attributes you can use
with the File system Object store:

Macbook pro keeps trying to connect to an old server
I have a macbook pro, just updated to OSX mavericks, when I turn the machine on, it will keep trying to connect to an old server that no longer exists (a windows pc I had at home I called "estudio"); how can I fix this? where is that the OS keeps the list of servers that the machine has been connected to? I already went through the option of "deleting all the list of recent servers" on the Connecting to a Server window.
Thanks for any help

Why do I get the message "cannot get mail" when trying to connect to ms exchange server?
Hard to say. Has it ever worked? Maybe your account has mobile e-mail disabled. Maybe ActiveSync isn't set up properly on the server. maybe the correct ports are not open on the corporate firewall.
You will have to talk to your IT department. -
ZfD 701 Trying to connect to Master XML Server
After loading the Inventory service, everything seems to be normal,but
then it tells
....connection refused
Trying to connect to Master XML Server...
I did not find much in the Knowledge base.
Does this mean, the Inventory service is looking for a inventory proxy?
If so, wow can I tell Zfd to stop looking for the proxy?

It sounds as if the webservice is not loading correctly.

Anytime I open Firefox I get the following message: It is strongly recommended that you apply this update as soon as possible. When I try to do it, it is showing that it is trying to connect to the update server but nothing is happening
If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 7.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Trying to connect to Master XML server
Hello everyone....
I have a single NW 6.5 SP7 Zen 7 Inventory server and I am getting this
error and some odd things happening when I try to look at the status of the
workstation scans. First of all, I am wondering if these problems are
relate.
Either way, I need to get this "Trying to connect to Master XML server..."
error fixed. Someone suggested in an earlier post that a complete uninstall
and reinstall may be the way to go. They talked about online documents that
gave detail instructions on that but I never found anything like that.
So, I'm kind of stuck. Can anyone help me out there....?
Thanks.

Trying to connect to maser xml server.....
running netware 6.5 sp5, zfd 6.5. Getting:

on the ZENworks Inventory Server screen on the server.
Questions include:
*What's a "Master XML Server"
*How do you make the message go away
If you want to refer me to TID 10099856. I did read that, and it sounds
like the most likely solution. However, I'm unsure where to find a new
ZWS.PROPERTIES or ZFS-STARTUP.XML file. Further, I can edit these files
and they do not appear to be corrupt.
Thanks for your assistance,

iTunes tells me there is an iOS update (5.1) but it never gets any further than trying to connect to the iPad server. I've tried updating directly from my iPad and it too times out saying it cannot connect to any server. My regular Apple updates work fine.
I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?
Here's a description of the update. Not a lot of changes for iPad 1/2.

Trying to connect to a ftp server
I am able to connect to Cerberus (5.0.0.5) using the web browser or using a CoreFTP client, but I can't connect programatically using org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient.
Below is my code (this is actually using the java ftpclient through Coldfusion) :
ftpsClient = CreateObject("java","org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient").init();
ftpsClient.connect(JavaCast("string","xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"),21);
connected = ftpsClient.isConnected();
login = ftpsClient.login(JavaCast("string","username"),JavaCast("string","password"));
This is what I see in the ftp server log file:
2011/12/13 13:47:54 [0] Client connected to Cerberus FTP Server 5.0.0.5 on 'machine'
2011/12/13 13:48:41 [1] Incoming connection request on FTP interface 0 at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
2011/12/13 13:48:41 [1] FTP connection request accepted from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
2011/12/13 13:48:45 [1] USER svc.script
2011/12/13 13:48:45 [1] 331 User svc.script, password please
At this point the Coldfusion/Java client returns "Truncated server reply". I also tried not using the login, and instead sending the user command and pass command separately like this:
userCmd = ftpsClient.sendCommand(JavaCast("string","USER" ),JavaCast("string","username" ));
But as soon as I send the "USER" command I see the above in the log file and the same reply, "Truncated server reply".
When I use the cfftp tag like this:
<cfsetting requesttimeout="1000">
<cfftp action="open" connection="ftptest" secure="false"
server="xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" port="21"
username="username" password-"password" timeout="1000" stoponerror="true">
I receive a "java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect"
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks much.This has been resolved.
There is a bug in the apache commons ftpclient that misinterprets /r in the welcome message. The ftp server people made a change that fixes this.
With cfftp, when I changed the server attribute on the cfftp open to the server name instead of the ip address, it started working. To me this is a bug in ColdFusion, you should be able to use the ip address.
The other thing I noticed is when you use getfile, you have to set the the failifexists attribute to "false". If you don't, it fails every time and the file has a "0" size, whether the file actually does exist. To me, another bug. -
MDBs failed to connect to remote JMS server
Hi,
We currently have 2 clusters: one is a regular cluster (cluster1) and the other is JMS cluster (cluster2). Our JMS server and filestore are targeted to a migratable server in JMS cluster.
In our weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, we added element <provider-url> to the <message-driven-descriptor> to allow JMS remote connection as follows:
<weblogic-enterprise-bean>
<ejb-name>MyBean</ejb-name>
<message-driven-descriptor>
<destination-jndi-name>MyTopic</destination-jndi-name>
<provider-url>t3://myhost:19009,myhost:19011</provider-url>
<connection-factory-jndi-name>MyConnectionFactory</connection-factory-jn
di-name>
</message-driven-descriptor>
</weblogic-enterprise-bean>
When we deployed our application, the Connection Status of MyBean showed "disconnected". I have tried different values (t3://myhost:19009;t3://myhost:19011) and
(t3://myhost:19009) but got the same result.
When I re-targeted the JMS server and filestore to a regular server (instead of migratable server), I was able to connect remotely. But because we want to be able to migrate our JMS server (auto and manually), I have to target it to a migratable server.
I could not figure out why my MDBs failed to connect to a remote JMS server when it is targeted to a migratable server? Is there a restriction that we have to target to a regular server in order to connect remotely or I'm doing something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ThaoI'm using WL9.2 and my migratable server is actually up and running (is that what you mean about booted?). I meant checking your log files to make sure that the JMS server itself actually booted, not checking that the host WL server was up. (For example you should see INFO messages indicating that the JMS server has loaded "X" records from its persistent store).
>>> Could you elaborate on the known problem?
9.x MDBs have special code for enhanced handling of remote distributed destinations. I'm guessing that this code is somehow causing problems when the remote JMS server is migratable. I don't have enough information to elaborate further than that.
>>> What else I can try?
Beyond contacting customer support, I'm not sure.

Weblogic 10.3 not suporting for MDB to connect remote Weblogic JMS server
Hi,
I have a problem with MDB deployed on Weblogic 10.3.It's simple MDB which is communicating with remote weblogic JMS server. I am getting below exception. could some one help how to resolve this issue.
<Apr 14, 2009 11:28:52 AM PDT> <Warning> <EJB> <BEA-010061> <The Message-Driven EJB: ReceiverFromDocumentum is unable to con
nect to the JMS destination: FMAContractOutboundQueue. The Error was:
[EJB:011013]The Message-Driven EJB attempted to connect to the JMS connection factory with the JNDI name: FMAConnectionFacto
ry. However, the object with the JNDI name: FMAConnectionFactory is not a JMS connection factory. NestedException Message is
:weblogic.jms.client.JMSConnectionFactory cannot be cast to javax.jms.XAConnectionFactory>
-SreekanthI recall that this particular warning message is sometimes misleading about the root cause of the problem, an issue that I think has been fixed in a patch. The actual problem can be various:
* The MDB is configured to be transactional, the connection factory exists, but the connection factory isn't configured to be "XA enabled". (I think this is the most likely problem).
* The connection factory doesn't exist.
* The object in JNDI with the specified connection factory name isn't actually a connection factory.
* The dest object in JNDI with the specified name isn't actually a javax.jms.Destination
Note that its unusual to configure the connection factory name for an MDB that consumes from WebLogic JMS. The default name iis usually sufficient unless custom tuning is required on the connection factory. See the MDB section of the EJB developer guide for more information.

Trying to connect to a license server in a diffrent country
Our Client has just installed another SAP installation. They are trying to connect the hina SAP client to the Licence server in a diffrent country (the licese server has a Global licence )
the 2 countries are in diffrent time zones too.
so far we have not been successful!
typing in the ip address gives a error "Connection license server failed......."
I cannot find any documentation on this as well.
appreciate any helpHi Gordon,
Our situaiton is diffrent - we are trying to share a licence server - thats in a remote server. see clarificaiton below.
The situaiton is they want to SHARE the LICENCE SERVER ONLY.
simply,
Australian server has a unique SAP installation with its own database
China server has a unique SAP installation with its own database
somewhere in the middle ( the lincense server is runing on a common server - that server too is in Australia but what matters is its common and needs to be shared)
Australia needs to see its own databses ONLY
China needs to see its own databases ONLY
Both Australia and China needs to be authenticated using the same common licence server as above -
Losing connection to TIBCO JMS Server
I'm having a very strange problem with a Message Driven Bean in WebLogic. We're using a TIBCO JMS Server so I setup a Foreign JMS Server in Weblogic for my MDB. Seems to work fine and receive messages for awhile but then every morning at about the same time, I lose the connection. There are a number of other people connected to that TIBCO server for days/weeks with no problem, just me!
I thought maybe the problem was with WebLogic so I wrote a main() method for my MDB which manually connects to the server/queue and calls setMessageListener(this). Same behavior: works overnight just fine and then disconnects at about 9:00am. No exception from JMS or anything, it just disconnects. I even set a JMS ExceptionListener but it never gets called.
Has anyone had this bizarre problem?
Thanks,
- IanDid you tried running that main program on the same machine where Tibco is running ?
