Trying to download apps on 3G!
I've tried to download three apps, and all three have come up with an error that says the app is over 20mb and I need wifi or to log into iTunes on my computer. What is the point of the 3G if I can't even download apps! I haven't had any other issues downloading apps before this weekend. Help!
Well, the point is the 3G providers have pressured Apple to limit the amount of bandwidth used for data. That will save them money as they can delay costly upgrades to their cellular infrastructure.
Before February 18, 2010, the limit was 10mb.
You'll just have to use iTunes or Wi-Fi.

I just found my old ipod touch (i think 1st generation) and would like to let my toddler use it instead of my phone. The 1G iPod can only go as high as 3.1.3. The 1G does not have an internal speaker or volume buttons on the upper left edge.

It's not referencing your iTunes version. It's referencing your device's iOS version. An iPhone 3G has a maximum iOS of 4.2.1. If an app requires an iOS higher than that, it will not work on your iPhone 3G.

Hi, ive recentley got a new iphone 5C. I am trying to download apps on the appstore but it wont let me. It says this: Update Unavailable with this Apple ID.
This update is not available for this apple ID because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.
How do u fix this??Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
Either use the original AppleID or delete the app and then download again
using your current AppleID. You cannot transfer an app from one AppleID to
another, nor can you merge AppleIDs. -
I have been trying to download apps from the app store and every time it tells me there is a problem with my previous billing and direct me to put in new billing information and every time i do that it still will not let me download any apps.

Ipad 1st gen. Safari cannot open page because address is invalid. I get this trying to download apps from itunes, infact it will do this under any variable. I have tried copy paste in url but it doesn't matter what i try, safari doesnt allow anyway i try. I have searched answers to this but to no avail.

Yes, I have not made myself clear, I apologise.
I have tried downloading apps from itunes in order to set up a game for my son, when I go to click on a link, be this in itunes, or on the web, Safari revolts back informing the address is invalid. I read by coping a link and pasting into the URL, this would do it, but not so.
My goal then, is to install Minecraft for my son, I would then download an app to allow this but I am unable to get this far due to Safari insulting the address I ask it to go to

I bought my iphone 5 in the USA but am living in the UK. When I was trying to download apps, it said i need to connect to the uk apple store, how do i do that?
Settings > iTunes & App Stores
Tap on your Apple ID at the top
Tap "View Apple ID"
Enter password if needed
Tap "Country/Region"
Tap "Change Country or Region"
You may need to change to a UK credit card. -

Try this:
1. Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off
2. Set the date ahead by a few months
3. You should then be able to connect to the store -
my daughter is trying to download apps on her iphone and it keeps asking for answers to my security questions. the problem is, the questions its asking are not the questions i picked....i do not know the answers. how can i get around this?
I was told that if you reset the password then u can get in and reset the security questions, but I am having problems with it. Apple also has a page on it in there support area, u just have to type it into the search engine and it gives u a list a messages about security questions and support pages.

That error message is usually indicative of a problem with the App Store. If you look through the forums, you'll see that a number of people are experiencing the problem. Try again tomorrow.

I am trying to download apps but all that happens is the icon appears with a "waiting" underneath it. Updates do the same and so I am not able to download anything. I have rebooted the iPad this hasn't helped. I am able to sync the iPad with my PC and this updates everything. I would however not have to do this constantly. Any ideas on how to solve this download issue.
Thanksturn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

When trying to download apps on my new iPad I keep getting prompted to update my security questions for my safety. When I choose this option it freezes and won't load the questions, however, when I hit not now it won't let me download. What do I do?
Reboot your iPad and then see if you can set the security questions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

You can't use Safari to download iPad apps. Only use iTunes/App Store.
