Trying to find replacement mouse/ trouble with existing mouse

The mouse that came with my HP bundle has finally decided to crap out on me. I will click something like a box that can be checkmarked and with one click it will check it and uncheck it. Also when using the calculator I could hit one digit and it will enter that # twice. So I'm thinking my mouse has about had it.
Not sure if much I can do to clean it. I'd like to stay away from compressed air. I tried using the vacuum to suck up some of the dust. But not sure how much that did, since I'm still having issues. Also tried sliding the sticky side of a post it note in the cracks to gather up some dust. Little results.
Onto the next thing on what replacement I found.
On the back I have found it be Model # N910U, but trying to search the HP site all I can find similar is this one, looks exactly like mine, but not finding it to be the same model #.

Is this the same item or what?

mws1984,
Your mouse is a corded optical mouse, any such mouse mouse will work, including the one you linked.
PS> the shipping on that mouse is $10. It's such a trivial item, your local stores will have many selections.

  • Find Replace from Textfile with regex

    Hello.
    I'm wondering if anyone knows about an existing script that does a find/replace by list like the script "FindChangeByList.jsx" that comes with every InDesign installation.
    This consists of tow parts, the script itself with the functionality and a simple textfile where you have simple one-liners capable of find/replace with regex.
    the Textfile:
    //FindChangeList.txt
    //A support file for the InDesign CS4 JavaScript FindChangeByList.jsx
    //This data file is tab-delimited, with carriage returns separating records.
    //The format of each record in the file is:
    //findType<tab>findProperties<tab>changeProperties<tab>findChangeOptions<tab>description
    //Where:
    //<tab> is a tab character
    //findType is "text", "grep", or "glyph" (this sets the type of find/change operation to use).
    //findProperties is a properties record (as text) of the find preferences.
    //changeProperties is a properties record (as text) of the change preferences.
    //findChangeOptions is a properties record (as text) of the find/change options.
    //description is a description of the find/change operation
    //Very simple example:
    //text          {findWhat:"--"}          {changeTo:"^_"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all double dashes and replace with an em dash.
    //More complex example:
    //text          {findWhat:"^9^9.^9^9"}          {appliedCharacterStyle:"price"}          {include footnotes:true, include master pages:true, include hidden layers:true, whole word:false}          Find $10.00 to $99.99 and apply the character style "price".
    //All InDesign search metacharacters are allowed in the "findWhat" and "changeTo" properties for findTextPreferences and changeTextPreferences.
    //If you enter backslashes in the findWhat property of the findGrepPreferences object, they must be "escaped"
    //as shown in the example below:
    //{findWhat:"\\s+"}
    grep          {findWhat:"  +"}          {changeTo:" "}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all double spaces and replace with single spaces.
    grep          {findWhat:"\r "}          {changeTo:"\r"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all returns followed by a space And replace with single returns.
    grep          {findWhat:" \r"}          {changeTo:"\r"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all returns followed by a space and replace with single returns.
    grep          {findWhat:"\t\t+"}          {changeTo:"\t"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all double tab characters and replace with single tab characters.
    grep          {findWhat:"\r\t"}          {changeTo:"\r"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all returns followed by a tab character and replace with single returns.
    grep          {findWhat:"\t\r"}          {changeTo:"\r"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all returns followed by a tab character and replace with single returns.
    grep          {findWhat:"\r\r+"}          {changeTo:"\r"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all double returns and replace with single returns.
    text          {findWhat:" - "}          {changeTo:"^="}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all space-dash-space and replace with an en dash.
    text          {findWhat:"--"}          {changeTo:"^_"}          {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}          Find all dash-dash and replace with an em dash.
    The script:

    This is a very useful and easy to maintain script which even people who cant write scripts (but know how to use regex) can do complex search replace mass replacements.
    Would love to find something like this for FrameMaker 12 (as i can't write scripts myself).

    I have visited that site. The first item in the external link says: "You can also configure Firefox to automatically search for text when you type any characters outside of a text field. When typing in a text field these characters should show up in the text field and not trigger the Quick Find bar. "
    What I am looking for is the exact opposite. Once my first search is entered in the text box, and the info comes back, I want to start typing the next symbol, and have it automatically show up in the text box, not the Quick Find box. That is how it was working up until a couple of months ago.

  • Trying to find out if X220 with model number 42875TU have the IPS screens

    Hi, I'm trying to find out if X220's with Model Part Numbers of 4287-5TU have the IPS screens? I cant find the model through the Lenovo model search. Thanks for the help.

    Hi
    I can't explain why partslookup service by MTM doesn't show your laptop parts. Though support site contains its short specification.
    Try to get parts list by laptop serial number if you know that one:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/partslookup
    You'll find the panel p/n and its description.

  • I am finding FCPX has trouble with mixed audio sample rates

    I am just putting this thread out there to ask if anyone has experienced issues with mixed sample rates in the timeline?  Specifically I have noticed that a timelilne with an audio rate of 48KHz with have troubles with a song at 44.1KHz - this is irrespective of what sort of video codec I am using. It happens to me a lot lot with stills actually.
    If I preconvert to 48KHz, I do not have the same issue. Just asking if this has been discussed or mentioned elsewhere so I can figure out if it is just me.
    Thanks

    You might want to duplicate the capture preset for DV/NTSC 48k and change the audio to 32k.
    Then try that.
    But I'd also change the JVC's audio settings to record in 48 while you're waiting. Should be able to do it... cheap or not.

  • Trying to find replacement battery thats performs like the original

    I have a aluminum unibody 15" MacBook Pro, it's about year and a half old. The battery isn't performing like it used too, and I'm looking to replace it. The only problem is that every review I read says the the replacement battery is horrible compared to the original, even from the apple website and OEM. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement battery that will perform the the original battery came with it?

    I think that your best option is to get one from Apple even though it will be the most expensive.  I have seen no statements in regards to the quality of them, but I have no reason to believe any one might have better ones.
    I have seen that through Amazon one can order OEM batteries for Apple MBPs and at more favorable prices. They look 'real' and I suspect that they are gray market items.  Nevertheless Caveat Emptor.
    iFixit.com also sells MBP batteries, but I don't know if they have any in stock.
    I certainly would avoid anything offered on e-bay in the bargain category.
    If you do choose to go third party, note that you will need a #0 Triwing driver for the battery swap.
    Ciao.

  • JS: Finding & replacing a character with a certain para style

    I'm scripting an automated indd -> PDF project and I need to minimise the user input.
    To this end, I want to search and replace commas in a particular cell of a table (which are the only instances of a particular para style), and replace them with forced line breaks.
    The script I have for another part of the XML import looks like this:
    //Search the document for the umlauts and replaces them with macrons. I
    app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "Ï";
    app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = "Ī";
    myDocument.changeText();
    What do I add to a similar script to make it target only content whish has a particular para style? And will it be compatible with CS4, 5 and 5.5, i.e. be agnostic to nested styles etc?
    Thanks in advance,
    Simon.

    Use app.findTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle:
    app.findTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "my_style";
    .. your snippet here ..
    I bet there is a reset somewhere above your snippet:
    app.findTextPreferences = null;
    app.changeTextPreferences = null;
    and it would be safest to insert this as well below your code, or else this particular setting will "stick" and also be applied to following replaces.
    This command is virtually unchanged since CS3, CS4? So far it seems to work in every version since then. But either way it's inconsequential to your nested styles, as these can only be character styles.

  • I just tried downloading 4, replaced 3.6 with this new version that is not supported on my system. I'm using a Mac 10.4.11. I have lost the previous version that I was using. How can I get it back?

    I googled Firefox and tried to download the version I was using and it again downloaded this new version.
    I have no Firefox to use!
    Is there a way to get the 3.6 version back?

    Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
    If you prefer you can get Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

    I downloaded iTunes onto my hard drive on my computer but also onto an external hard drive as well. Everything worked fine until I went to open iTunes on my desktop one day and an error window popped up.

    iTunes was not properly installed. If you want iTunes to be able to retrieve CD information from the internet, you need to reinstall iTunes."
    When I press the "Okay" button on that window, iTunes opens without a problem and with all the music in my iTunes library. I've been able to use it just fine with my iPod and on the iTunes store.
    However, I have attempted to download iTunes 7 and it has not let me. I have successfully downloaded the iTunes 7 Set-up file. When I go to run the file, it wants to put the iTunes in my J: drive. The J: drive isn't on my computer though because it says it has 0KB space available on the drive. When I try and change the destination of iTunes it says "The volume J: is currently unavailable. Please select another." It won't let me select another and then immediatly takes me to the last page of the installer where it says:
    "The installer encountered errors before it could be completed..."

    Make that six. I am now receiving the exact same error message. My message makes iTunes completely inoperable and there is no way for me to get around it. Yes, I too have external drives attached to my computer. Anyone have advice on how to deal with this exception errort? I hope Apple has fix for us soon.

  • Finder: replace a file with another file

    Let's say I want a game to play my favorite song when the game is supposed to be playing its own theme song.  The theme song is in a sound file that is located on my computer's hard drive.  The theme song sound file is in the same format as the sound file that contains my favorite song, so I don't need to convert any files.  What is the easiest way to make the game think that the sound file I want the game to use is the sound file of the theme song?

    You could hack the software and change the code to use some other file, but that will not be easier.
    Either change the code or change the target. Unless the game provides a preference to change the sound, there isn’t another option.

  • I am trying to find an app that will track the usage on my iphone with times and dates to see what was accessed on my phone when I was away from it and what if anything was done eg deleted messages viewed facebook etc?

    Hi! I am trying to find an app that with track everything that is done on my phone with times and dates? im not really woried about call usage and texts sent I need it to view what has been done - for example:
    Messages received
    Messages deleted
    Facebook viewed
    Messages viewed
    Internet viewed and what?
    I just have an issue with someone using my phone - I used to track this through double clicking the home button and roughly knowing in what order I had been on things but they have sussed this one!
    Thank you!!

    No way to do that on a non-jailbroken iPhone. Why don't you just passcode protect your phone? That way no one but you can use it...unless they know your passcode.

  • Find & Replace

    I'm trying to get DW 8 to allow me to remove some of the
    "found" items before using the replace function to avoid having to
    open each file individually - but when I delete entries from the
    "found" list, on r-click I'm given 3 options:
    - Open File
    - Find & Replace
    - Clear Results
    The Find & Replace option takes me back to the original
    Find & Replace screen. With DW4 you have the option of deleting
    some of the "found" entries before pressing the "replace" button.
    Has DW really taken a backward step?

    I neevr used DW4, so I'm not certain how that worked. And it
    doesn't look like you can delete entries from the Search panel.
    You might use other techniques to limit your changes. Any
    folders or files that are cloaked will not be updated by the
    Replace. You can set cloaking for specific files or folders, or by
    file extension (on the Site panel). Or, you could select only the
    files you want to target and use the Selected Files in Site option
    of the Find In drop-down. Or, you could use the Replace button in
    the Find/Replace panel to go through the results one at a time,
    rather than using Replace All.
    If you are changing HTML tags or attributes, the Find/Replace
    options are very powerful.

  • Help finding replacement DVD LightScribe burner for HPE-500Y

    LightScribe internal DVD burner locked up.
    I have been trying to find replacement and still use LightScribe when I transfer VHS to DVD.
    HELP

    More info for all you out there that think that they can get to the bottom of this. The superdrive can read and write CDR's and can read and play DVD's. Just can't burn them! I have used a couple different type of DVD's and what happens using Disc Utility is that the burn process starts, then very quickly goes to "finishing burn". I then get a message that says "Unable to burn (insert title here) the disc isn't writeable"
    I am using DVD-R (and have in the past). I have had great experience with the HP brand that allows for inkjet printing on the surface. However, I have gone to Memorex (same problem), then to a different HP and this is all I get. I have used Tayo-Uden as well. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Replacing carriage return with HTML " br/ "

    All,
    I have a textarea in an HTML page that receives text input from the user. The text is stored in a varchar2 column and then rendered back into the HTML page as static text.
    I'd like to make it easy for the end user and not force them to enter "<br/>" characters (exactly how this forum works) for new lines and paragraphs.
    On the insert trigger for the note text, I'm thinking of using:
    :new.note_text := replace(:old.note_text, chr(0), '<br/>');1) Will this work?
    2) Is this the best way to do this?
    Thanks.

    Yes, I did mean chr(10). So I set up my trigger to include the replace() function on "note_text":
    create or replace trigger "NOTE_INSERT_TGR"
    BEFORE
    insert on "NOTE"
    for each row
    declare
      next_val number(20);
    begin
      select note_id_seq.nextval
        into next_val
        from dual;
      :new.note_id       := next_val;
      :new.note_text     := replace(:old.note_text, chr(10), '<br/>');
      :new.date_created  := sysdate;
      :new.last_modified := sysdate;
    end;
    /but nothing is being inserted into the "note_text" field. In my PL/SQL code block, I'm using the following logic for the insert statement:
      if (:P2_NOTE_TEXT is not null) then
        insert into note(application_id, note_text)
          values(:P2_APPLICATION_ID, :P2_NOTE_TEXT);
      end if;and have even tried placing the replace() function here with no results at all (probably related to some internal processing with HTMLDB).
    When I query my note table, I can verify (null) is being inserted.
    select note_id, note_text
    from note
    returns
    NOTE_ID     NOTE_TEXT
    56     (null)Any ideas why I'm losing the note text?
    Thanks.
