Trying to run appcmd.exe against Exchange Back End/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

I'm manually removing the Trend Micro WFBS Messaging Security Agent (MSA) from my SBS 2011 (Exchange Server 2010). One of the steps is to run this command:
C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe list module /module.name:SMSEXActiveSyncHook /app.name:"Exchange Back End/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync"
Running it I get: ERROR cannot find APP object with identifier "Exchange Back End/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync"
How should this command be written?

as this is not an exchange issue.

Running setup.exe for Exchange 2013 does nothing

Hi All,
Unable to find this issue anywhere else, please excuse if it's a duplicate of another issue.
Basically, I have a new 2008 R2 server setup, added it to a domain, and want to install Exchange 2013 on this new server. There are no Exchange servers anywhere on the domain.
The server is fully up to date, including .Net 4, and looking for updates results in zero new updates found.
When I run setup.exe for Exchange 2013, a command prompt appears for less than a second, then closes, then nothing else happens.
Did a fresh reboot before trying to install, and after waiting about 20 minutes to see if anything happened after the vanishing command prompt, rebooted again, tried again, same result.
There is nothing called Exchange anywhere on the server that I can find, no setup logs or anything, and I am totally stumped.

Hello,
Exchange 2013 need to be installed on windows server 2008 R2 SP1. If you use windows server 2008 R2 SP1, I sugegst you check if there is any exchange server via ADSIEDIT.
CN=Configuration,DC=Domain ->CN=services ->CN=Micorosft Exchange ->CN=Organization ->=Administrative Groups ->CN=Exchange Administrative Group ->CN=Servers

Re-Create the "Exchange" virtual directory in the "Exchange Back End" Site on Exchange 2013

Sorry for this stupid question.
In IIS, I accidentaly deleted the "Exchange" virtual directory in the "Exchange Back End" Site on Exchange 2013 (Mailbox Role).
What I need to know is the physical path to re-create it.

According to your description, it seems that you checked the configuration of a single CAS role in AD,
If you check mailbox role, you will find CN=EWS (Default Web Site) is missing, and CN=EWS (Exchange Back End) is there.

Trying to run an .exe from within pdf

I am trying to run an executable file from within a pdf. I get the error "This file is set to be launched by this pdf file. This is currently disallowed by your administrator." Error box is labeled "acrobat.exe"
Using: Adobe Acrobat 9 pro
Windows 7
This has worked with previous versions of Acrobat, is it still possible to do?

This is disallowed for security reasons.

My company blocks executables from running in the Temp folder. How can I install Firefox without it trying to run download.exe from a temp folder?

I found a workaround for the problem of not being able to run executables from the Temp folder.
I happened upon the Full Firefox installer download page. I downloaded the full installer and used WinRar to extract the downloaded file to a folder then I could run setup.exe and Firefox installed successfully.
Please publish the link to the full Firefox installer on the same page where the stub installer is published.

I want to run this using task scheduler

I know I have to run some variation of this to launch the exchange module

How can I do this in Task Scheduler? I have tried numerous times using various combinations, but nothing seems to work.

You need to put the first part where you call powershell.exe in the Program/script part of the task, but the rest of it is put into the arguments section. As explained here

set the arguments to :

Firefox suddenly won't open, have run virus scan, reinstalled, and tried to run firefox.exe-p, none have worked and firefox.exe-p won't open either. Win 7

Acts the same as trying to open FireFox. Also when reinstalling it said FF was open. The only way to close it was to restart the computer. However when Shut Down button is pushed, FF is not listed as a program that is open.

There are many possible reasons for problems lets look first at the ones I consider most likely:
In ordinary circumstances Firefox only runs one instance using one profile. If you have Firefox not shutting down properly that may prevent you from starting Fifrefox until you have found and killed the process. (Also look for plugincontainer which may also exist).
If you are certain Firefox is not already running then the problem is often that a Firewall or security related program is blocking Firefox. This is especially likely if you have installed new security software ,a new version of Firefox, or have tried to restore the computer.

"An error occured when trying to run iTunes.exe"

The problem I have occures when opening iTunes or when it has been open for approximately one minute. There's this error message poping up and tells me that iTunes ran into a problem and has to be closed. This also appears when trying to add music to the library before the error pops up.
I've tried about everything to correct the problem such as rebooting after install, reinstall, download different versions etc.
It doesn't seem to be able to solve. And that's why I ask you. I've never heard of anyone else facing this problem so I need tips.

hmmm. you're right, that one is exotic.
recently, however, i've been seeing more and more unusual errors pop up when people have antivirus applications (or antispyware applications) blocking access to the itunes library. so let's try an experiment. does your itunes behave itself if you launch it (or do the other activities) under those circumstances?

Error while running sawserver.exe file

I installed OBIEE 11.1.5 in my machine and Database is in different machine (For RCU) .OBIEE reports are working fine but, I tried to run sawserver.exe file to register new instanceconfig file to implement multiple rpds and Catalogs in OBIEE 11G by referring the below link.

Error while trying to open Postinstall.exe in Windows 7

I am using Cisco Agent Desktop ver 7.6(2) and Windows 7 (32 bit ). While tyring to open Postinstall .exe from bin folder I get the following error message :
"The procedure entry point NetApiBufferAllocate could not be located in the dynamic link library netutils.dll ".
Can some one help with solution or suggest a workaround ?

Out of curiosity did you try running CAD as an administrator?
Are you trying to run postinstall.exe from this path "c:\program files\cisco\desktop\bin" ?

It almost works, but then comes up with the following error:

I cannot uninstall Firefox, either through Control Panel Add/Remove or by running helper.exe from Program Files.

Nothing happens when I click on REMOVE for Mozilla Firefox from the Add/Remove screen of Control Panel. I then tried to run helper.exe from the Mozilla Firefox folder in Program Files, but that wouldn't run either. Any suggestions?

Error A12E1 when running CCPLauncher.exe

We need to package Indesign with Creative Cloud Packager but it's stops with erro A12E1.
I try the steps in A12E1 error installing Creative Cloud products | CC but no success.
I also try to run CCPLauncher on a new clean computer.
Both computers running Windows 7 64 bit and a CCPLauncher from 2014-01-30 (version 1.0.0.52)
All results from Google seems to end in the link above. Any other solutions?

I am also having this issue trying to run CCPLauncher.exe on Windows Server 2008 R2 so I can setup an AUSST.

Running par2j.exe

Hi guys. I'm trying to run an exe file (par2j.exe). The problem is being able to get the right cmd syntax and in the right order. I followed the command syntax provided with the exe but I cant figure it out. I created some recovery files of an image for testing purposes and just a simple demo VI that runs a self-test for the par2j.exe.
Initially, if anyone can show me how to at least run the "verify" command succesfully, then I think I can get the rest working.

I tried the qutes and I get the reply as shown in the attached, and the message dowsn't say repair not needed, so I don't think its working. Also, the ERROR CODE should be 0 and not 1.
