Trying to setup RAID with 2 80GB Western D and K7N2 Mainboard.
Thank you for looking at my problem in advance.
Here is my problem. When I go to the fastTrak setup it only shows 1 hard drive. I have both Wetern Digital 80gb hard drives connected to one IDE cable going to the ID3 connector on the MB.
These drives are not SATA, they are just plain ATA133 IDE hard drives. Any help would be greatly appriciated! Thanks,

no normally in raid they would have an ide each ,wether onboard raid or a card
im wondering if both on the same will negate any benefits
it either reading or writting but it can only do it to one drive one one ide at a time
thats what i see as a problem

I have an Xserve rack mount model Xserve 2.26 Quad Core (EMC# 2279) with an Apple RAID card, 24GB RAM (running 10.9 Server software)
Purchased two Western Digital 1TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64MB Cache Black WD1003FZEX drives
It came with three 160GB SATA drives. I'm leaving one of the original 160GB drives for the OS, but I want to replace the 2 other drives and set it up with RAID 1 (mirrored). I bought 2 brand new Western Digital 1TB SATA drives and formatted them on another Mac through Disk Utility with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) formatting. I then placed the new drives in the Xserve and booted it up. After I login it immediately gives me 2 error windows saying...
"Apple RAID Card
The Apple RAID Card installed in your system requires your attention."
It has two buttons underneath this message allowing me to either select 'Ignore' or 'Open RAID Utility'
I've tried to RAID the drives the Disk Utility and through the RAID Utility with no success.
I have both drives mounted on the desktop, as separate drives, but I really need to set these up as a RAID 1.
I've been reading other forums, where others have been able to get this to work by using a jumper on certain pins (5 & 6)of the drive to back down the transfer rate to 1.5 Gb per second. I tried that and it didn't work for me. Maybe I used the wrong pins -- I just don't know. I'm also wondering if there is some Apple firmware that is required on these drives? I'm asking for help from anyone who has gone through this same issue. Thanks in advance.UPDATE -- I had an issue with the RAID card battery, it was dead and I have since replaced it. But I am still unable to setup the RAID 1 drive configuration. Does anyone know if it has something to do with the faster transfer rates on these new drives. Maybe they need to be clocked down with certain jumper settings on these Western Digital drives? Or am I fighting a losing battle because these drives don't have Apple firmware? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am trying to setup VPN with QuickVPN
Hi I am trying to setup VPN with WRVS4400N and Quick VPN on client side. I am fairly new to VPN and did some research and looked through the manual but can't seem to get it to work so far and from what I noticed many people are having this problem. So hopefully someone can tell what the problem is or at least point to right direction on solving this.
Basically it gives the "Failed to establish connection" generic error, shows it almost instantly..
It also showed the certificate error before but then I read about putting it in the installation directory and it stopped showing it, and whats strange is later I removed it but it doesnt show the error any longer, so don't know if its caching it somewhere or what can be going on...
In effort to look for answer and test things out I tried to connect to another location and setup a WRV200 router, I also get the same error but not instantly, it even shows "Activating Policy" but then doesn't go farther and shows the generic error...
Also with this setup strangly it always shows the certificate error, no matter if I put one in directory or not... Even tried to name it as the WRVS4400N certificate name...
Anyway VPN IPSec is disabled, and Client Accounts are configured and changed password several times to make sure its correct, VPN Passthrough enabled on all 3 options.
I tried to disable Windows Router, I also have a router in place do I possibly need to open some type of ports for the QuickVPN client?
Don't know yet whats going on if I am missing something or if there is some problem that needs work-around but if you know the answer or guesses of answer please let me know.Hi Aleksandr,

When trying to log in with my primary Apple ID and password, I am continuously asked for my pass word without being able to log in. How can I solve this issue, without creating a new Apple ID?

Trying to setup TC to the internet (Comcast modem) and does not connect.
I'm replacing my old Netgear WiFi router with the TC. The provider is Comcast via their modem but, after setting up TC it does not connect to the internet. Of course Comcast service doesn't answer. I've tried the usual, unplugging the modem and TC and reconnecting, then resetting, etc, no connection to the internet. Do I need to directly bypass the WiFi router to start and connect the computer first and capture the DNS settings? Comcast usually does that automatically. After that connect TC to the modem and then manually edit settings? What settings use I edit?
Is the comcast modem a pure modem or also a router?
If it is a pure modem.. the TC must be in router mode.
If it has been used in another setup or is just being difficult .. reset the TC to factory and start over.
It is simply in DCHP and NAT for network setup.. it should get an IP and share it by default.
Normally you need to turn off the modem for several minutes to make the ISP gateway give up the MAC address of last connected item.
Tell us the exact model of the modem if the above doesn't work.

I have the new macbook pro with retina and I am trying to back it up, with wd passport for mac and is telling me it is going to take 7days. Any Ideas? Im afraid that means there is something wrong with my hard drive. I have verified the disk and it says everthing is ok.
It seems to be a common problem that those drives don't perform well, at least not with Time Machine.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Post the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.

Tries updating iPhone 4S with iOS 6, update failed and now phone stuck on itunes logo
So i tried updating my iPhone last night to ios 6. Soon after the update began, iTunes said an error occurred and the installation stopped. now my phone is stuck on the itunes logo with a usb plug under it. I have tried everything i know of. turning the phone on and off/trying the reset thing with the power/home button does nothing. plugging into the wall does nothing. when i plug the phone into my computer, the sound of a device being connected happens, but iTunes does not recognize a device. no message pops up about a device in recovery mode or anything. I uninstalled then reinstalled everything apple-related, did not fix the problem. I'm not overly tech-savvy, but if anyone has any suggestions, lemme know please. ive spent well over 5 hours trying to fix this thing to no avail
OK i figured it out. you have to put it in DFU mode before itunes will recognize the phone.

Safari window pops up with "Safari cannot download this file"
There is an app you can download for xp, i havnt tried it because im not going to use icloud but if you go onto the ipad tab and then icloud there is a link on there.

Printer setup instructions say to press the WPS button on the access point (my 4th gen Time Capsule). Does that mean hit reset and will I have to setup every other device again by doing that?
No, do not hit reset .. it is not a WPS button.
Apple products do not use WPS, so no WPS button is needed. And they have no need to implement one.. nothing exists outside the Apple bubble.. didn't you know that??

But it is better to plug in your printer to a mac by usb and use the disk provided to do a full manual setup of wireless.. WPS is simply the easy way. -

My macbook pro mid 2012 will not start up. I was running bitdefender and when I went to see if it was done, I had the apple logo and the loading (winding circle) on the screen. I can not get out of this. I used my back up external drive and it did nothing. It did light up.

you may have faulty RAM. Are you able to boot into your MacBook Pro’s Apple Hardware Test (“AHT”)? If so, try running it to see if it can detect a problem. If you’re not able to run its AHT, and you’ve upgraded your MacBook Pro’s RAM before, try reïnstalling its original RAM and see if you can get past the “-6002F” error code. If you aren’t able to run its AHT, and you haven’t upgraded its RAM or you no longer have its original RAM, then I’d recommend that you make an appointment at your nearest Apple store to have them diagnose the problem. -
Trying to setup ISO for across Ledgers

As per my understanding, I need to define one Detsination location which I need to associate it with Source and Destination Inv Organization.
But, when I have defined the location, I have attached it with the Destination Organization. NOw when I am trying to attach the same location to Source Organization, it is not allowing me to do that.

The Destination locations is the place where your Goods will finally flow in to. This location has to be present in the Requesting Operating Unit.
To create an ISO across Operating Units, Navigate to the Purchasing Responsibility of the Destination OU and Setup the Sourcing Org / OU as a Supplier in that.
Similarly, Navigate to the Order Management Responsibility of the Sourcing OU and setup the Destination Org / OU as a Customer in that.
This would create the Customer - Supplier relationship between these two organizations.
