Can't get my itunes back on my ipod clasic

You restore from your backup.
But I am guessing that you would not be asking if you had a backup.
If you have an iPod you can recover from that see this Zevoneer post:
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9990366#9990366
Otherwise you will have to re-rip you CDs.
Apple have a strict download once policy so you should expect to have to repurchase your music from the iTunes store.
However try contacting customer service and explain the situation. Maybe they will take pity on you and allow a second download, but they are not obliged to.

I can't get my iTunes music transported to my iPod Nano....Help????

    Hello 10Tuckles,
It sounds like you cannot transfer your music to your iPod nano.  I found an article with steps on how to manually and automatically sync music to your iPod:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1351
If you are still not able to sync using the steps in the article, I recommend following the steps in the iPod Troubleshooting Assistant.  You can pick out your model of iPod nano after clicking the link below, and you can skip any steps you have already taken:

  • Can I get my itunes library back?

Help me....I had to get my computer repaired and they replaced the hard drive.   It didn't get backed up so I lost everything.  Is there any way to get my itunes library back?
By the way, I have most of my iTunes library downloaded to my iPod Nano. If I could tranfer that to my computer, that would be more than great. Is there a way to do that?

Do yourself a favor, once everything is restore, CREATE A BACKUP!
Anytime you choose to not do a backup, you risk losing everything as you have witnessed.  I hope for your sake that there were no important documentts or pictures on your computer, if they were, they are gone forever.

  • How can I get my iTunes library back into iTunes?

    Folks:
Hi and thanks for the assist. I recently had to reinstall everything on my Dell XPS 8700 running Windows 7 Pro. I downloaded and installed iTunes 11 and then made my default Media Folder location where all my iTunes music is (backed up). However, while I assumed (yes, I know the old axiom) iTunes would simply automatically import everything in that folder back into my new install, nothing imported. How can I get iTunes to import media (songs, movies, etc.) from my previously saved folder (there doesn't seem to be an "Add Folder" option anywhere - and I really don't care to individually add every single song...
    Thanks again.

  • How can i get my itunes libary from my old computer that i dont have access to anymore

i downloaded itunes to my netbook and i cant figure out how to get my old libary from when i got my iphone 4 and synced it to a labtop that i dont have access to anymore

Your library will only be where you put it.  it does not magically appear anywhere.
It has alwasy been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a  backup, not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some counties:

  • Can't Get My Itunes Songs Back. HELP PLZ

I recently got an Ipod touch 3rd generation. I plugged it into my computer (which is an Acer Aspire One (eeeeeewwww)), but it wouldn't recognize it, so I put it into my brothers laptop. It worked on his so I got some songs from him, and bought 30$ worth of "stuff" off of Itunes. I had bought all the songs from Itunes, while on my Ipod touch, so they weren't on any computer. I went to charge my Ipod, since I couldn't find my wall charger I just plugged it into my computer. It went to the screen that shows the cord and the Itunes logo, saying how you need to connect it to itunes, so I couldn't on my Acer, so I unplugged it. The screen was still there on my Ipod so I did the manual reset, by holding the main button and the sleep button for 10 seconds. When it came back on it was still showing the Itunes + the cord sign so I plugged it into my brothers computer where it said it had to reset and restore. When that was finished nothing was on my ipod so I wanted to get the songs I bought back, I logged into Itunes on my brothers computer with my account, and it showed my purchase history, but nothing to let me re-download them on his computer, my computer or on my ipod, when logged into my account. How do I get my songs back? Im not going to pay for them again, I have all the reciets saved so I have proof of my purchases. Any help on what to do or who to contact?

You only get one download. It is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
You can try e-mailing itunes support and politely explaining your situation. Who knows? They may make an exception.
You can click "Support" at the top of the screen and follow the itunes store links to e-mail support.

  • HT201209 Can I get my iTunes balance back in credit or cash

Can I get my credit balance paid in cash or refunded to a gift card as it will not allow you to use your credit to part purchase accessories and takes the full amount off your credit card. Is there a way to get the monetary value back?

As far as I am aware no, you can only use your balance to buy items in the stores (iTunes, App Store, Mac App Store, ibookstore, but not the Apple online store), and that money can't be refunded or credited to a credit card.

  • Stolen computer!! can i get my music files back from my ipod?

I had my computer stolen! And stupidly hadn't backed up my music files... All the files are however on my ipod. Obviously, i don't want to lose them so i'm looking for a way to transfer my files from my ipod onto itunes 8 on my new computer...
I've read about transfering the iTunes file to a new computer but obviously i can't do that because i don't have the old file.
Furthermore, i know i can listen to my files on my comptuer by, instead of syncing my ipod, chosing to manually manage my files. What i want to know is if it's possible to actually transfer the files permanently onto my new computer as independent music files instead of leaving them forever precariously sitting on my ipod.
IF i have no choice but to leave all the music solely on my ipod without backing it up on my computer, how do i go about syncing new music without deleting the old stuff?

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content only from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • Help! How do I get my iTunes music back onto my iPod?

We had to format our hard drive; when I connected my iPod afterward, all of my songs were erased. The music I purchased is listed in my iTunes purchase history, but I don't know how to get it back onto my iPod.
Can anyone help me to get it back?

You'll need the assistance of some sort of third party software.  See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering a few different possiblities.

  • Had to reset. can't get my apps (games) back onto my ipod

I had to reset my ipod touch bc some of my music wouldn't play. I was able to download my music from itunes again, but can't get my apps (games ) to download from itunes.

Reset or you mean restore/update? In tunes, right-click  the device on the left of the itunes window and select resore purchased apps.
Btw, apps purchased with different apple-id will not be restored to the unit, unless you know the password and use that apple-id during synching with itunes.

  • Can I get my iTunes account back once it's been hacked?

So yesterday morning while I was still sleeping I got a couple of strange emails from Apple/iTunes. I discovered them when I woke up, and sadly it seemed too late to do anything about them.
The first one was an email with the subject of "Your new do-it-all Apple ID" and in the body of the email "Thanks for shopping at the Apple Online Store" then it said "Your Apple ID: <my apple ID>" telling me what my apple ID was (which I already knew...I set this particular ID up back in 2009).
The email seemed strange since I haven't made any purchases recently, and didn't do anything new with my ID lately...but I thought maybe Apple was just sending emails out to everyone more as advertising since the email talked about all the things you could do with your ID, and had links to the online store, retail stores, and iTunes.
The 2nd email I noticed was sent several hours later, and said that "The following information for your Apple ID <my apple ID> was updated on 9/11/2011
    Shipping and/or billing address
    Credit Card
It then said that if I believed these were made in error, or if they were unauthorized then I needed to immediately go to iforgot.apple.com
These changes weren't authorized and I went to the web site, however, it said I couldn't access my account...I had the wrong password, when I tried to get my password neither the email option worked (email never arrived to my email), and when I tried to do the security question, my answers weren't correct (the person must have changed all my account info?).
Nonetheless, I tried contacting Apple and the solution the representative gave me was to just get a different email, and open a new iTunes account with my new email.  Uhhhhh...What?
So all of my purchases are gone?  The apps that need updating on my iPhone can no longer be updated because I can't connect it to an iTunes account.
Is there anything I can do to get my account back?  Anyone have success with this sort of thing, or am I just out the money for all the apps and audiobooks I've purchased over the past 2  years?

    Hi sabouse,
Yes you can change your printer's ePrint address:
    Sign into ePrintCenter.com.
At the top of the ePrint box, next to the printer's ePrint address in blue you should find a change button.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!
