TS1371 a lot of my itunes downloads won't open on my PC. They're turning into alb files....How do I open these files? Can anyone help?

Sorry it took so long to get back on this. Orignally the uninstall of QuickTime didn't work, but I just tried it again this morning, and it worked perfectly. I have no idea why though, because now iTunes opens on my PC without a version of QuickTime on it (at least as far as I can tell in Add/Remove Programs). At this point I guess I don't really care why it's working though, just that it's working. Thanks for your help!! --Rob

You need to do as provided. If no change after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

I cannot use the software.. so you need to figure out where the problem is..
But let me suggest.. the Mac is not the issue and likely the info from Sony is also up the creek.. they make PC's after all.
It is far more likely the camera is having issues with the wireless network.
Do you know you have a connection to the home network on the camera.. ?? You have an IP address and some internet or local access at least?
How you will discover those things is by fiddling.. but if you can tell me what wireless AP you are using that will help. -
Backed Up Iphone to itunes and when restoring its looking for a password to restore! None requested or set at original backup. Can anyone help?
I have not restored device so have all my data on it still. Am not pluggin it in for first time, did this originally when setting up phone. I have an option to restore to original backup as well as 'set up as new'. What happens if I chose the 'restore from backup' option.' how do I go about backing it up first - if i right click 'iphone'' option on left hand side under devices the only option is'eject' or 'restore'. I'm not sure that my iphone is being recognised by itunes - should it not give the name of my iphone under devices?

Are you running Kaspersky security software on that PC? (There's been a few reports in recent times of Kaspersky interfering with iTunes installs, with that message being produced.)
If there is Kaspersky on board, we should try some general-principles getting-past-security-software-interference troubleshooting.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (32-bit installer file) or iTunes64Setup.exe to your Hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the install just yet.)

Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.
Any better luck with the security software shut down? -

Itunes wont open when i click on it but it never tells me why, so i went on troubleshoot and it found some problems and resolved them however it still says that a problem 'incompatible program' was detected and it doesnt give me an option to do anything about it. I have reinstalled itunes, deleted it and got it again and updated it but it still wont open, has anyone got any suggestions as i have run out of any ideas. Also it will not let me select the catagory i want and has frozen on podcasting and radio... sorry. Im a bit dumb with computers.
Thank youOk, what you should do is go to "Preferences" in iTunes, with your iPod connected, and check the option that makes the iTune s your default player and all music files defaultly the Apple format (AAC). It will automatically convert all songs to that format, and list them in your library. However, you may have to right click on them and select "Convert to AAC selection" if they won't play in iTunes... hopefully I have provided some insight...

Photoshop is not a "container" for images, those must have existed somewhere else. (With the exception of newly created unsaved images, but as you claimed you downloaded them this case does not seem to apply.) -

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)
