I've lost the woman's voice who spoke the playlist, eg "gym". I get a male voice saying "playlist 2" or whatever

That feaure is called VoiceOver. It sounds like VoiceOver is disabled. The settings to enable VoiceOver are on the Shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This document provides information on enabling and using VoiceOver.

Lost the voice over bt function after removing battery

I have a new Treo 800w and a new Plantronics 925 bt headset. I installed the voice over bt software, established a connection, and was able to use it to make voice calls (call john smith). I removed the battery to record serial numbers etc. When the Treo came back on, I reinstalled the voice software as advised. Now I can answer calls and talk using the headset, but I cannot get the voice commands to work again. I have not installed any third party software. Any suggestions?

Not sure why you re-installed the software again after a soft reset. Taking out the battery and re-inserting the battery is a soft reset. See the instructions in the article below for the hard reset procedure.
The program may have gotten corrupted when you installed over the top of the existing installiation.
Here is the statement from the download page regarding re-installing the patch.Effect of resets on this softwareIf you install the Voice Dialing over Bluetooth Download and perform a hard reset, you will need to re-install the Voice Dialing over Bluetooth Download.
If you install the Voice Dialing over Bluetooth Download and perform a soft reset, no action is necessary. The Voice Dialing over Bluetooth Download remains installed after a Soft Reset.
You may need to uninstall the program and re-install. The fastest way is to Hard reset the Treo and then re-install. the hard reset will erase all data on the Treo, so make sure you sync before hard resetting.

Press on the input area to position your cursor as if you were going to use the keyboard. press the microphone button. does the text go into the proper input area? the input area has to be selected first.
If you are doing that and it still isn't working. then I might suggest you perform a FDR.

It could be bad headphones. Try another pair. It could be gunk in the headphone jack. Try cleaning it out. It could be a bad headphone jack. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store.

Are you saying you've lost the "Basic" tool tab?
If yes, just right-click on one of the other tabs and select "Basic" from the context menu that's presented.

Is there any function to automatically adjust the voice volume in the multitrack

I'm trying to mix voice sounds and music files into one track. Sounds easy! But almost every music has its loud parts(for example the climax) and quiet parts. Therefore when i listen to the voice and the music at the same time, the voice files are sometimes relatively too quiet and sometimes to loud. I don want to adjust the volume pan one part after another because I have a lot of files to mix. Could you tell me is there any function I can use to automatically adjust the voice volume to make it always 'just a bit higher than the music'? Or can I read some documents about this problem?

Sounds like you want to do what is called "ducking" & "side chaining".
First try using a compressor and or limiter on the voice tracks to get a more even volume.
Google: Audio Ducking tons of stuff on how to.
I myself have never tried this with Audition, or the compressors that come with it. I have done it in other multitrack software and older versions of Dave Browns Compressor.

Directories missed, recieved calls...lost the preceeding '9'

Hi All
Ive lost the preceeding '9' which allowed users to just select missed or recieved calls in Directory just to select the call and dial...
On ccm it is setup (service parameters..and the preceeding '9' is still there for national and international calls) and unsure why I have lost it..
Any help appreciated

I recommend you to take a CCM trace to see the call flow of the call and to see what it is matching (verify that is matching the service parameter and adding the 9).

As I mentionned in my question, I have lost my iPhone I'm feeling very dumb, it is the second time that this happens to me and I really need your help! I don't even know what happened, but when I arrived home after school, I didn't find my phone. The fact is that I was sure to have take it with me, but I haven't, as I see. I went on the apple site: "location of my iPhone" and they told me that my cellphone was out of service. Now, I really don't know what to do and what to think. I serched everywhere, in my car, everywhere in my house, I even went outside to check, but i live in Quebec and it is snowing a lot this winter, so maybe I just didn't see it... Anyways, I'm really scared cause I have 3G on my phone and now they say that I'm not connected to 3G anymore, neither any other internet service. I'm freaking right now. Does that mean that my cellphone is broke, stuck in the snow, or just somewhere that I'm never gonna find out? I'm imagining all the worst possibilities so if you don't want me to die soon, please, help me (try to reassure me if it is possible but if is not, tell me the truth anyways).

Voicemail is left at your carrier's server. That will continue to work unless you report your iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier.

All that I saw was the black bar saying authentication busy. I was not able to restart, I was not able to switch users, I was not able to shut down. I decided to manually shut down my Mac. when it booted back up I was looking at the disk utility screen. When I clicked on repair or race it indicated that my hard drive had already been arranged. I was looking at completely formatted drive and I was having to either restore from Time Machine or reinstall lion. I had a back up but why did this happen?

A possible workaround could be to have the horizontal scroll bar visible all the time.
