TS1538 I have tried all of the above and my iPhone 4s still will not sync, get recognised or do anything by both iTunes and my laptop. I need help!

I have a white iPhone 4s and since a few days ago, I have not been able to access anything on my phone via my laptop. I have tired everything it says on the support pages but still nothing. My phone tells me it is charging but nothing pops up on iTunes or my laptop. I am seriously running out of methods to try.

    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

    At first the messages and crashes were only happening if I tried to play a game (Farmville) on Facebook. Then after a week I started getting the crashes and messages on Facebook. It did work a bit better when I downgraded the Flash to 10.3. But that only lasted a couple of hours and then I was right back to the way it is now. I have actually gone two days in a row not even being able to get on to the game never mind play it. The message I keep getting is: Shockwave Flash might be busy or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the plug in now or you can see it the plug in will continue. If I don't click the wait button soon enough, then it crashes. If I click the wait button, I might get the same message over and over for almost ten minutes minutes before I can continue. Not only does it freeze the game, but it also freezes the computer. I can't get off, I can't go open another tab, if I have my emails open doesn't matter because everything freezes and I can't continue with anything until it stops. I am really sick and tired of this, its been going on for so long but it used to happen once maybe in half an hour, now what used to take me an hour to do on the computer can take upto 8 hours and thats only checking my game, email, etc., once. I used to be able to go on in the morning for an hour and then back on a night for an hour or so before bed. Not now. Please help, I don't know what else to do

    I have checked all of the settings in this support thread listed for wake on demand and they are correct.
    Apple TV 2.0 with current software, Airport Extreme with 7.6.1 and current firmware, iMac running Lion 27 inch, late 2009 (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3).
    If I leave itunes open and my imc is asleep, operating the apple TV to computer dows NOT wake. I have to enter office, wiggle mouse and then can use Apple TV normally.
    Help. All wake on demand settings check out.

    Exactly what it says above. I have an iPod classic. (5th gen I think). My iPhone syncs up fine.

    You must not have done ALL the steps. What version of iTunes are you using?

    I don't know what other solutions you've tried but on mine it was like a "Ghost in the Machine" (moving around and clicking on things on its own) and all I did to fix it was to lightly dampen a cotton ball with window cleaner (evaporates) and clean firmly around the inside edge of the pad and to also click it firmly quickly and many times to clean out ANY kind of dust or debris that has fallen into the cracks. worked GREAT for me , so far!!???

    PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
    If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

    Are you positive you are entering in the correct password?  Have you tried rebooting the router by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds or so?
    What happens if you head to Settings -> General -> Reset, tap Reset Network Settings, and then try to reconnect to your home Wi-Fi network.

  • Today I Reset All of the settings on my iPhone 3G.  Now I cannot get it to do anything and all I get is the iTunes connect screen.  I have tried EVERYTHING!!!  What am I supposed to do now?

    Just like the subject line says, I reset my iPhone 3g which  I just bought from a friend for $50.  The device worked just fine and then I performed a complete reset on the phone.  The one that says it may take up to two hours...  Well I left and came back about 8 hours later.  I pressed the Home button to view the screen and I now see that my phone is "locked" and I can only make emergency calls.  There was no cell service before but I was still able to browse the phone and use it's features. 
    Now I can do nothing with the phone, I have tried to force it into recovery, I have performed both the soft and hard resets and I am at a loss.  I have always been against anything Apple as an IT Professional and now this reaffirms why.  My EVO from HTC (Linux based) has never had one single problem and I have rooted it, flashed a new ROM and flashed a new Kernel. 
    The iPhone was not even Jailbroken or unlocked.  And to make it all worse, the only language that it displays is Spanish?!?!  ***???
    Why didn't the iPhone tell me that it was going to ruin my device and change the default language to Spanish instead of simply stating it would take two hours? 
    I have worked on this phone all night, now I'm out of $50 and was going to sell this on eBay for an easy $250.00.  What the heck is wrong with this POS?  And why won't Apple offer any support without having to pay them?  If I pay them for support and then they can't get it to work then what?  I'm screwed their too?
    There is nothing left to do but smash this thing, I wish I would have never bought it, and I even wasted $20 on a new home/car charger for it.  I'm so mad I can't hardly stand it.  This is why I ONLY use ANDROID based devices and I recommend that you ALL do the same!
    But, if anyone can provide any insight into this issue it would be much appreciated.  It's just not fair that it sits with this stupid "connect me to iTunes screen" yet does nothing. AHHHHHHHHHH!

    By the way, I have tried ths on my Windows 7 PC and my XP laptop.  Same result.  iTunes and the computer will NOT recognize the device in any way no matter what mode I start the phone in.  It just refuses to work.

    Have you tried closing the app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the My Hours app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the My Hours app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
