The first thing to try is changing your DNS settings - and for that you need to open System Preferences, then the
Network section.
In Network - click on Advanced - then the DNS tab
under DNS servers - use the + button to enter two extra lines
either these, from google dns
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
or from OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then click OK & then 'Apply'
You would need to do that seperately for the Cable (Ethernet) settings and Wireless (Airport)

Do you mean to import photos from iphone to computer? Is this what your doing http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Looks like your syncing pics on your computer to your phone. to remove it when your phone is sync to itunes, uncheck sync in the photos tab. -
I simply want this: All my junk from my old iTunes on my new system, all my junk from my iPhone on new system. All in well-backed up place on my time machine backup.
Is it really this hard? It shows up in ITunes and all that jazz, everything is updated, and perfected, I'm anal like that.

To copy the data from your phone to your Mac, follow this article: How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Or do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, set up your iTunes account and authorize, connect your phone to your Mac and right click on it in the device list and choose backup.iTunes will backup your phone without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your Mac, to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.

Im scared to sync my ipod to my itunes as ive already synced my iphone to it and i dont want to loose all info on my ipod.
i want ALL the songs to be put in both my iphone and ipod.. (as i recently changed computers not all my songs are on the one computer)

connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.

I go to the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on Download site, and apparently it "reads" what browser I'm using (Firefox 6.0.2, and says the add-on is not compatible with my browser.
Yet in the description box on the download site, it lists Firefox as being compatible.I don't see that addon on addons.mozilla.org -- are you downloading it from there, or somewhere else?

Completely by serendipity I just fixed this!
I was perplexed as to why all my events showed in iCal on my computer, but only some events would show in iCal on my iphone.
All day events were not showing, appointments weren't showing and neither was work, but social events were, no matter how many times i tried to sync my iphone with my MacBook Pro. Hmmm strange.
So I only just figured it out accidentally when on iCal on my iphone that if i click the 'calendars' tab in the top left hand corner, it takes me to a list of all my created calendars (and their colours) that I have in iCal.
If you tap on a certain calendar it will display only those events. Eg. I tapped on my calendar 'appointments >', and iCal only displayed all of my appointment times on my iphone and not the other events.
If I tap on 'work >', it displays all work events. Etc.
Is this making sense??
NOW:
If you go back to the 'calendars' tab on iCal on the iphone and tap on 'All >'...
then
Hooray!!! All your events will be displayed.

Did anyone have similar unpleasant experience with Verison yet?
I had the service for about 3 months. My phone had static sound. I could not use it. I called Verison. They did the test and realised that the problem could not be resolved from their office so we agreed that a technician would come to determine source of the problem and fix it.
I agreed that I would cover technician cost of $90 if the problem was caused by me.
The technician came a day earlier. He did not need to enter my house at all. He fixed the problem and left the message that he fixed the issue at the pole on the street. The following month Verison sent me a bill with $91 extra charge for technician's work as "inside wire".
I did not agree with the charge. I called Verison three times. Once the service person dropped my call after talking to him about 10mins. The other two times I explained the issue and I was put on hold for a long time. On one hand, the customer service people seemed to be friendly but each time their explanation was that they have to obay what the technician wrote on the bill and that was that I should be charged for his work.
I tried to talk to someone from Verison to explain the issue but when I ased for a manger,I was directed to sales manager who did not know much about customer issues!!
I paid the bill which was due but I did not pay $91 extra that verison charges me for the technician's work. I received already 2 phone calls that my bill is overdue.
I do not know whom to talk to from Verison or how to handle this situation?
I am looking for help on what to do in this case.
Is it planned that Verison charges his customers for technician's work that should be covered by the company.??
Did they make a mistake?? but then why they do not admit to that?
Why am I spending my valuable time on this issue???

Using getMethod while the class is being constructed
While executing the constructor, I want to get some of its methods.
But I get a "java.lang.NullPointerException",
when I copy the code to a method and call it after the class is "constructed" it works just fine.
Is it not possible to get them while the costructor is still in execution?

In general, it's a bad idea to call non-final instance methods on the object being constructed. I'm not seeing that happening here, but I don't know exactly what you're doing with the reflection stuff. -
I get "An error has occurred" followed by "The operation was cancelled.(3072)" when I try to update to iTunes 11.0.3 while running OS 10.8.3. Whats up?

I use Preview to mark up student assignments, switching between the speech bubble and highlight markup tools. The speech bubble is not on the toolbar since Maverics upgrade. It also have no shortcut, which means navigating the menu every time since the Text shortcut, under which the speech bubble is now located does not remember the previously selected item and always reverts to plain text.
From a usability point of view, for me this is a massive step backward since the Lion version...
Or is there some hidden magic that will let me switch between these tools without having to navigate the menu everytime...
Neal100% agreed with this. The new interface is far too bulky, Even on my gaming computer's massive 21inch monitor, it's nearly impossible to keep up with my chat group of 23+ people. I constantly have to scroll back up to read messages, making it furstrating and inconveniant. And now that the update is being forced on all of them, they're complaning of the same issues. Like said previously, these are full computers, Not bloody tablets or cell phones, but even then the new skype's even more useless on my Venue8 Pro tablet, I get to see a whole 3 messages at a time (And don't get me started on the Win8 Skype app). And what made it worse, MS has removed all previous versions of skype from the internet. THEN even when I managed to get my hands on an old version, I can only log it in once before it kicks me off and gives me a worthless error message, "Skype Can't Connect". (But seriously, what happened to giving us error codes guys? Advanced users like myself want to be able to fix the issue ourselves!) MS, I'm sorry but, you need to stop fixing things that are not broken. I'm wasing my time trying to correct this now, and I really don't apreciate that. What happened to quality control and testing?

My receive function on the email gets just the first email and then stops, but the wheel keeps turning like it is looking. What can I do to get it functioning again. This program has been steady for several years so something in it is tweaked. Other computers can access the account just fine. If I shut down the mail program and start it up again it will get the same email and then go into the spinning mode again. Is there a file I can delete to reset the account. I have tried to re input the SMTP data but no luck. Any Ideas?
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist. -

The problem is that I have allready tryed all of this you told me on any forum and any issue solved is this answer but it`s not helpfull for me Now my iPhone when starts it`s starting with the itunes icon and data cable i cannot enter in the menu or get the start up bar for sliding as usual.Thanks for your hard work to help me but it`s not the right answer.:( so It starts as I said and nothing happened stays like that for a while and sometimes restarts in same mode.After a while the itunes dissapear and I get the battery on a red color and it starts chargind and after 10 20 minutes something like that it shows up again the itunes logo. Hi, I own a I phone 4, a ipad 1 and just purchased a ipad 3, I have 15g worth of icould data but my photostream doesn't stream all of my photos to my new ipad when connected to wifi???? It appears to be streaming photos from the last 10 or so days but no more? I have enough storage on my new ipad??
Photo Stream does not count towards your iCloud storage plan.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 Photos in the Photo Stream album. Only photos taken within the last thirty days and since Photo Stream was activated will be synced. -

When asked about when there would be more information he said something along the lines of maybe next year, meaning 2008.
Do you hold off buying a car because the 2009 models might have something you want? Even if the changes to the next model are not known yet? No, you evaluate the current models against your needs and wants, and make a decision.
It is the same thing with electronics. There will always be new models at some point in the future. Does the product today meet your needs and wants? If so, purchase it today.
