TS3510 My ipod was destroyed, how do I unlink and apple id from that ipod touch to my new one?
My sons ipod was dropped and destroyed. We set his Facetime and messages with his name and own email/apple id. Now that we have the new one, we are unable to verify his email address because it is in use with another ipod. How do I unlink it so it can be linked to the new one. I saw it referenced in an article, but conveniently there were no instructions on actually how to do it.
I have to clarify a couple things since I can't edit my post.
I have an apple id that is set up on his phone that the whole family plugs into for apps and music. He has an email address that is verified so he can facetime. It's the email address we are trying to unlink so he can link it to the new one.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

how do i get backed up purchases from an old iphone to a new one, but the only problem is an ipod is backed up into the new phone and i cant get my iphone data on to the new phone because its under i pod?

Are you sure of that? Check in the Library. Click on the Apps icon to see all apps. Similarly click on the Music icon to see the songs. -

Your music, and everything else, should be stored on your computer. Just sync it to your iPod.

how do i import all my music from my old computer to my new one? I just loaded iTunes but can't get it to recognize all the music in my folder. It wants me to load songs one at a time and I am NOT going to do that with 44 GB of music.
These are two possible approaches that should work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where your computer has died with no backup then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Basically what has happened my password was disabled for "security reasons" on sunday (21/10/12), so i tried to reset it, but for some reason i couldnt get into my old email (probably because i havent used it for 2 years), so i read on here i could swap it to a new email that i currently use (which is what i have done) ive swapped everythin over to it (facetime, iCloud etc) but keeps coming up with old email and asking for password

How do I unlink my Apple ID from another persons I tunes account? I keep getting their security questions and one of my emails can't be used. It keeps telling me I its linked to another account but it shouldn't anymore. Plus my security questions belong to the other person and it has no reset option

Do you have the install media? If not, you can download Acrobat from here: Download Acrobat products | 9, 8 - Adobe. You'll need your Acrobat serial number (see Find your serial number quickly - Adobe).
Note, as well, that the licensing agreement allows you to activate the software on up to two computers. If you've already activated it on two computers, deactivate on one before installing on the new computer (see Activation & Deactivation Help).
