what is unknown error(1) !!! it appears every time i tried to update and install iphone soft ware!!! Further, that error appears once the firmware installation is in process !!!
Usually occurs on devices that have either been jailbroken or attempts have been made to downgrade the iOS. You can try putting it in DFU mode to restore but you may not be able to fix it. If you phone has been jailbroken we can't support you in these forums as it is against the terms of use.

* 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
* DVD drive for installation
* 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
Classic/OS9 Apps no longer supported.
Trouble is Apple no longer sells it, check eBay & such for the Retail version, not the Gray Discs...

Hi. My new computer had Acrobat on it. Suddenly, I was unable to open any PDF's. and then I tried to update and was forwarded to the Adobe site that said I had to buy a monthly subscription. I do not have the physical box with a serial number and was going to buy the one advertised on the website until I discovered it's only for students and teachers, which I am not. i tried reseting my ipod today and had a similar problem... it wont be recognized by itunes, the only thing i havent tried is putting it into DFU mode, or the state that it is in when u recieve it telling u to connect it to itunes.i recommend putting it into DFU mode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34v8HMC9B98 this should better explain it. if i find another way, ill keep u updated

I did a full system restore to my phone along with the new 7.0 update. Now I went to restore my phone setting back through Itunes and it goes through all the steps but when it is completed it wont get past the "Connect to Itunes" screen

But check first under the Help menu that you are signed-in - your email address used for you Adobe ID should be visible. You should be able to update to v8.5 -

Books are no longer supported with iPhoto '08 (a roughly six yeal old product) - you can purchase an iLife '09 DVD from someplace like Amazon or eBay and install it - iPhoto '09 is still supported this year

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
