TS3694 my phone has switched off for the second time this week, however when connecting to itunes the restore process wont complete. the error is 2006 however i have tried a number of USB cords, and none seem to be working.

I am in the noerthern [parts of australia and accessing an apple store is not possiable for another month. this is my only soucrce or telecommunication. please help

If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service.

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. 1. On your iPhone 4 press and hold both the button and the Home button for about ten seconds. After ten seconds you should see the Apple logo showing up.
2. Now try to run you phone again and see if it works.
If a hard reset the still can't get the device back to a working order.
1. Plug in the device to the cumputer and start iTunes.
2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake + Home for 10 seconds.
3. Once you see the Apple Logo appears, release the power and continue to hold down the home button for about 5-10 seconds. Look iniTunes and see if your device have shows up.
4. iTunes will notify you that you are now in Recovery mode. Click on OK to continue with the restore process.
5. Next press and hold on the SHIFT button and click on the Restore button. Select the latest IPSW file and the prompt appears.
6. iTunes should now attempt to get your device back to the manufacturer setting.
7. iTunes will later give you an opportunity to restore you content from the PC. Every time when you do a sync, iTunes makes a backup so you can choose the latest backup from the sync. -

Configure your security software
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.
Common errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.

I just got the iphone 6 and it has shut down on me 6 times this morning on its' own. I get a red screen, then the phone shuts down. HELP. It started to happen out of nowhere. The screen goes red, and it shuts down. I manually restart it - and it shuts down again.
absolutely the same issue with apple logo / red screen and looping on iPhone 6 16gb purchased 3 days ago in Moscow. first i was so happy to have it and now its a brick. also noted the brightness drop outs 1 day before it started. after chatting with apple support:
- we've tried to go for recovery with iTunes. didn't work
- advised on go for warranty replacement by Apple Support chat
- found local Apple Service Provider. gonna go tmrw. -
Bug:How can Home sharing be turned off and all items in my library cleared without my intervention? This is the SECOND time this happens since end of March 2013. A permanent solution will be appreciated

Assuming AVG is involved there is a new patch which may resolve the issue. Update AVg before attempting to recover the library.

Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. If the iPhone is recognized in Recovery Mode, then Restore the Firmware. If not recognized, then hold both Home and Power Buttons until the iPhone is recognized in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

its not apple going "down the tubes" its that you have windows junk. These opinion best left at apple.com/feedback
you need to completely uninstall itunes and all components

The funny thing is, I recall distinctly setting up the DHCP reservation initially, but when I went to check it now, the reserved client list was empty. I have no idea how it could have become depopulated, thus opening the door for internal IP address reassignment of the Remote Desktop computer which led to the RDP ports no longer being forwarded to the right internal IP address and thus the failure of the Remote Desktop connectivity. -
My Ipod classic stopped suddenly while playing on the dock. On checking it said connect to iTunes to restore and the battery had also exhausted itself. On connecting to iTunes it kept displaying the message Do Not Disconnect but showed the battery getting charged. Sometime later it said OK TO DISCONNECT. It never worked after that. When i try to download 'Get album artwork' I receive error alert with (-609) I have tried to download the artwork on the advanced tab, but still no success. My computer runs Windows 7 and the alert appears in my itunes which on my computer.Can you assist?
