I back up my iPhone and iPad daily to iCloud but my iPad only stores pics taken with iPad. None of the hundreds of photos on my iPhone are downloading to my iPad. Why is that?

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

Thanx for the link...here's my problem. I built my windows pc and installed 2 hard drives...but the larger one isn't accessible right now...not sure why...but the solid state little one is full. This is a problem I need one of my kid's to help me address. I have a lot of photos 'cause my husbands into photography, we travel a lot, and somehow thousands of photos he took, plus ones I took, plus videos I took, ended up on my iPhone...and they are different in a lot of cases from the photos on the iPad that we share. I could be wrong, but I thought when I backed up my photos to iCloud that all the photos in the photo app were backed up. Maybe I'm wrong and it's only those in the Photo Stream...in which case I should do something about that as well, 'cause I've upgraded our storage plan twice now...and it is getting pretty expensive...and I don't even know how to use it other than to do a complete restore when you get a new device which I just did recently because my son wanted our old iPad for a graduation present, and I kind of wanted the better camera on the new iPad, so I got one...and it took a week to retrieve everything from the cloud on our wi-fi! IF you have successfully imported your pictures to your Mac http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 then it's safe to delete it from your phone.

Did you move to iOS 8 via iTunes? Your photos should all be on your iPhone 5s without any issues even if you updated via WiFi. The update should have no impact on your photos other than to have moved any photos in your former Camera Roll to your Photos. When opening the Photo App you should see Photos and Albums available at the bottom of the screen. You can also look at Settings>General>About and looking down the list your should see the word Photos and a Count at the right. This count should represent all of the photos in your iPhone.

Why won't all the photos from iPhoto sync onto my iPhone 5?

I find the easiest way to transfer photos from iphoto or your computer in general onto your iPhone is to select the ones you want and click share then either iMessage or email them to yourself, its much faster and I don't know about you but i find iTunes to be a real pain when you sync photos because it always messes up your albums on your phone!

If you don't physically have the phone then there is no way for you to get the photos or videos.

If all the photos from my iPhone 4s Camera Roll show up in iPhoto under Library- Photos, is it safe to delete them from the iPhone and not risk losing them?

I am getting messages about being out of space on my phone for taking any more photos. I am scared to delete anything with all the photo stream and syncing that happens cause I don't want the photo to delete in many places at the same time.
So, 1) when is it safe to delete from the iPhone? 2) I feel like I have multiple copies of photos stored between the phone, Photos Library in iPhoto and all my albums in iPhoto. Is there a best practice document on how to manage your photos for space savings?

How can i remove all the photos from my iphone 5S that i synced from my computer

Hi All, my iPhone 5S is full of photos (1326) or so. however the camera roll is 827. there is an album named "My Photo Stream" which has 466 from My Computer and under it is "Shared" which has 12 from my computer. Can anybody help me to remove both these albums as there taking up a lot of space and I have tried everything to remove them!!!

On option is to open your my photo stream album in the thumnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Then import them to your computer using your usb cable (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083). A more convenient option is to use an app like PhotoSync, which will transfer all your photos from any album (including photo stream) to any of your devices (including your computer) over wifi by pressing a single button.

Only some of the photos in an album sync successfully to my ipad.

Select all of the photos and click on the Share button at the bottom. Select Photo Stream from the options and then create a new Photo Stream or add them to your primary PS.

There has been a glitch on my iphone where all the photos in my album duplicated itself. So I decided to take the time to delete all the duplicates. Now, all the photos are gone, and I tried plugging it into my Windows computer to restore to the previous backup. As I plugged the phone in, I quickly cancelled the automatic sync. But the back up that shows up on itunes is the back up that was created as I plugged the phone in today. Is there anything I can do to get my photos back ?

What photos?
Photos that you synced from your computer to iphone should still be on your computer.
Camera Roll photos ( taken with iphone)? You should be importing these regularly to your computer as you would from any digital camera. If for some reason you have failed to do this, then you would have to be able to restore from a previous backup where the pics were present ( if on exists). Otherwise they are gone. Import regularly.

What is your iPod firmware version? (1.1.2 or 2.0.4)
Those no-play songs are they of the same format as the good iPod playable songs?
When you sync these no-play songs, does iTunes gives any message?
Note that some songs, can be played in iTunes but not on most iPod classic, with the exception of late 2009 model which has a firmware version 2.0.4.

I have recently purchased a new iPhone 6. I currently have the 5 with nearly 3000 photos on it. I do not wish to lose them so how do I import all those photos on to my new phone?

You import then to your computer, then you sync them from computer to iPhone using iTunes. Or, you make a backup of the iPhone 5, then restore that backup to the iPhone 6.

In iTunes and on my iPhone6, it shows 2.1 GB of photos, but I deleted all the photos... how do I free up this space? Where are these pics located?

On my iPhone 6 and on iTunes (when I connect it), it shows 2.1 GB of memory space used for photos.
I cannot seem to find a way to see what these are, or how to delete them.
I have deleted all of the photos I can see on my camera roll.
Where would these files be located?

If you are having an issue with photos not appearing to relinquish the space they take up on your iPad after being deleted, there are a couple of things I would suggest.
First, try just restarting the iPad and check again. Use the procedure in this article -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Test again. If the space is still unreclaimed -
Second, it is likely that these photos are synced with iTunes. Use the procedure in this article -
iPhoto for iOS (iPad): Delete photos from iPhoto
Specifically -
Photos and video clips you synced to your computer using iTunes: Connect your device to your computer and, in iTunes, deselect the photos and video clips you want to remove from your device. Click Apply.
