TS4006 Reset Lock Code?
My little sister use the iPhone App 'Find my iPhone' to lock my MacBook Pro fortunatly she told me what code she used (All my familys' devices are under the same apple ID just in case). I find the lock code way to easy, what if i want to lock it cause it missing? The code would be way to easy anyone could unlock it so I want to reset it. Is there a way to reset it?
Hi.. Unless you can remember the code then the only way to reset it is via an authorised Nokia repair point.. the default code should be 12345
If i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

No, you have to bring it in to a Nokia Care Point.

I think that my memory full problem may be solveable by resetting the phone as described by another member. what is the generic lock code 0000 and 1234 do not work neither do my normal codes. any ideas folks.
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi nicolaz1991,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
As mentioned in this thread, the default code is 12345 unless otherwise changed. If you have changed it and have forgotten the new code, the only solution is to visit a Nokia Care Point with your proof of purchase for decoding service. Charges may apply.

I have tried to use the lock code 12345 but it's not working. What could be the problem and how can I reset it.
Have you changed your lock code? If yes,
Try different numbers which you might have changed code to. 12345 is default unless changed.
Final way to reset the code would be is to go to Nokia care centre.
Proof of purchase might be required and they may charge you if phone is out of warranty period.
If your phone is unlocked, backup important data before any software update or reinstall or before going to Nokia care.
Hope this helps.

Lock Code request after hard reset
Hi,
So I did a hard reset and I knew that I'll lose the Ovi Store. What it's completely new for me is that now each time I'm starting the phone I am requested to input the lock code. I have given 12345 but a message saying "Code fail" is shown and afterwards the phone works normally.
1. Does anybody know why12345 is not working anymore?
2. Does anybody know how could I remove this request at startup?
3. Does anybody know why the phone does react if I am inputting an incorrect code only with a message "Code fail" - I would have expected a lock after multiple inputs but everything is OK.
4. Does anybody know how can I change this code? - without flashing it at Nokia Service Center (just too far from me). I'm curious if 10000 tries would bring something alhough I am not interested in such a test. The default code is 12345 ! Do you have a pin lock on your sim card ? You can also request PUK code from supplier, if no good , you do need Nokia Care Point
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :

the ONLY way to reset the lock code if you forgot it is to flash your device with flasher3.5. you will have to flash both the os and the EMMC.
you can follow my directions HERE
since you wanted to reset your device and start over, this will make your device just as if you took it out of the box for the first time. -
How do I reset the lock code without knowing the existing code?
Turn off phone. Plug the USB cable into the computer you first set the phone up with. Open iTunes. Plug the USB cable into the phone while holding down the home button. Choose restore as new on iTunes. All data will be cleared from the phone and it will be in the same condition as when you first bought it new. I just had the same problem and the only thing I could not retreive was the pictures that were stored on the phone. All my apps that I purchased could be restored. Email accounts will need to be set up again.

Sw upgrade is another factor.Y can upgrade phone's SW by NSC. -

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode
iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
4. Select the Summary tab.
5. Select the Restore option.
6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
necessary to create another.
7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
you see "iPhone is activated."
9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code, then skip Step 9 and restore as New. -
How can you reset your volume lock code?
Restoring the iPod will delete everything on it and no, it isn't backed up or saved anywhere when you do this.
But you already have a back up of your iPod content in your iTunes library don't you? It's easy enough to reload that after restoring the iPod.
