I've never had Siri ask me anything when I pressed the home button, only when I asked her to do something. Check your settings in Preferences>General>Siri>Voice Feedback. Make sure it's set to always. That may fix your issue.

Did you fail to import your photos before updating? If so, then they are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup. If that fails then they are gone. You should regularly import photos to your computer, most especially before any update.

I purchased a iphone 4 and replaced my iphone 3. I started using the 4 before syncing the 3 because I didn't know how to do this. I just figured out how to sync and was successful however, I have now lost all data (list of to do's, calendar, photos (etc...) that went on the 4 before the sync. How can I get the data back?

Since installing Ios7 280 music tunes out of a total of 360 will now only play when I'm within range of WiFi. The remainder now appear with the stupid Icloud logo beside them. How can I get them back on my Iphone 4s and scrap this stupid icloud that I did not want or ask for in the first place. Why can't rotten apple ask if you want the dam icloud rather than just stealing everything without permission and then you can only have access to it through wifi.

What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice! -
I used to view lyrics,artwork from audiobooks,music on Ipad just the sames as my Ipod. This no longer is true; how can I get this back on my Ipad? My Ipod shows a swich to turn on lyrics but the Ipad does not. What can I do to correct this. Thanks for any help!

If you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option -
The message icon is not showing in the drop screen of my photos where it says do you want to email, message, assign, use as waller paper etc. it used to show before and now it's not there how can I get it back?
Did this back along to mine. Plug it into itunes on your pc (or Mac) and click on the ipod icon on the left hand side. When the device options come up on the main screen, click on restore. Follow the steps and it should restore to factory settings. If you had icloud activated on the ipod all previous purchases should be in the cloud and ready to download onto the ipod afte rit has been restored to factory settings, otherwise you'll have to download them all again. As Ocean20 say, your only shot at recovering the photos and data is to restore from a backup (with iTunes if you took the backup with iTunes, through iCloud if you took the backup through iCloud).
The erasure is to prevent your data from falling into the hands of somebody who takes your phone and eventually guesses your password. If you feel that the inconvenience caused by this feature and your friend outweighs the trouble that somebody could cause if they got possession of your contacts and other data, you can change this behaviour.

Hey there tjbliven,
It sounds like you are not able to use the dictation feature of iOS 8, becuase the microphone icon is missing. It seems to me like Siri may be turned off, which would cause the icon to not be there:
Siri settings - iPhone
To set options for Siri, go to Settings > General > Siri. Options include:
Turning Siri on or off
That should get the dictation feature back for you.

Make sure your iCloud account is highlighted in the column on the left.
In the account information section what does it say next to:

Try clicking the double-arrows in the extreme upper right of the MenuBar or Window. -
Getting as message that says"The folder "Desktop" could not be opened because you do not have sufficient access privileges". How can I get into this folder?
OPen your Users folder, Highlight the Desktop Folder, do a Get Info or CMD+i on it, see if it's locked or if you have Rights & Privileges at the bottom.

Consolidating songs into one album using iTunes 12
In earlier versions of iTunes I was able to dump songs into one album, but with the new iTunes 12.0.1.26 I cannot seem to get the songs into one album. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks for your time.
