what am I doing wrong that does nto allow me to edit text after turnign off OCR

I'm not an Adobe tech. This isn't a forum for Adobe staff.
How is the PDF made? Can you select text in the PDF?
What do you mean by "creating problems with the text in formation".

Find My iPhone has nothing to do with receiving or not receiving text messages.
What you should have done is turn off iMessage prior to handing over the device.

I cannot edit text in a PDF created from scanning

I am using Adobe XI, and I have created a PDF by scanning a document.
When I do click on a paragraph to edit text, all the page appears selected, it seems to be an image. At that moment a message pops up saying: this page has not editable text or digitalized content. The editing tools are disabled, so I cannot edit text.
If I do export a page to Excel or Word, I can edit text there, although there are some kind of data that is not converted properly (even when I have executed OCR).
I have edited preferences, but I am not sure if I did it correctly.

I digitalized the document from the scanner. This scanner is installed in the net, so I personalized the settings in Acrobat and I chose memory mode instead of native mode.
Mode color: black on white
Resolution: 600 ppp
As you say in your mail, I understand I should choose ClearScan OCR not searchable just at this moment.
Well, and what about the options of optimization?, JBIG2 (without lost)?, 4 CCITT?
And filters?, I have: activated, low, activated, medium
Are these values congruous or compatible?

It's a permissions problem. Try this: right click on your iTunes icon and choose "run as administrator" that might fix it.

Please check what program opens pdf files on your system.
Open a pdf
From the top bar Help > About Adobe ______
Is this product Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat - Professional or Standard?
Adobe Reader is free, there is no cost. Assuming you have Acrobat...
What do you want to edit within the pdf. (Minor edits are possible, major edits are not)
Have you editted anything with Acrobat? The file in question may be protected by the author; dissallowing changes.

Cannot edit text in Drawing Markup Text Box

I cannot edit text in Drawing Markup Text Box after saving and closing the pdf file and then reopening it. I go to add additional text in the Text Box, and nothing happens.

Thanks it resloved my question, but Apple has made it more complicated it was so much easier to just press the edit button and select messages to be deleted. Now its cumbersome to delete several messages. Apple should give us back the edit button.

Cannot edit text in menu page

I cut and pasted from a pdf to a menu page. I want to work with the font to make it more readable, but I can no longer select the text. What did I do wrong? I can't edit in Encore or Photoshop. I can select the layer, but not the text.
I am trying to reproduce the page by duplicating it and adding the text again, but I cannot figure out how I got it there in the first place (to appear as it did in the pdf) It keeps pasting as an oversized text block in one column.

Cannot Editing Text in Acrobat 8

I opened customers pdf in Acrobat 8 Mac. Went to properties and found font name and opened it. Was able to edit Optima fonts but was not able to edit any of the Avante Garde fonts. I changed the avante garde text to times and arial, and still got an error message: "All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font." Seems like it will only accept a few fonts and Acrobat's font list is different than my Suitcase Fusion list - even if I have them open if Suitcase.

Have a PDF Form created in Photoshop and converted to a PDF. Would like to edit text in the form but the TouchUp Text Tool won't work. It is as though it doesn't recognize the text. Any ideas as to how I can edit text in the form. I need to delete text, add new text and move existing text.

1. Is the text actually in a textbox, ie is it possibly a graphic like a .tiff or .pdf?
2. Is it under something else?
3. Is it a master object? +Menu > Format > Advanced > Make Master Objects selectable+
4. Is it bigger than a breadbox?

If you have access you your old iPhone, just sign out of Messages. If you do not have access to it, then change your Apple ID password.

Unlink a phone number
To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.
Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.

Cannot edit text or any command other than print in Adobe Acrobat 9.0.1 Pro. Receive error message

I just installed adobe acrobat 9.0.1 Pro and it opens up pdfs and prints fine but when I try to edit text or enter any other command I get an error and it gives the option of cancel to debug or to exit program.
Error message:
The instruction at “0x2b806327” referenced memory at “0x00000348”. The memory could not be “read”.
Click on ok to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
At first it stated that it did not recognize the font but when I looked it up under file, properties, fonts. The font was helvetica (embedded subset) for all the fonts on the pdf file. I have also checked the sercurity tab as well and there is no security on the file.
When I choose cancel to debug it just terminates the program. When I choose ok it terminates the program.
Please help.

Maybe your installation is currupt (scratched CD)
Reinstall on another maschine (and clean CD) to validate this case.
Update your Acrobat, maybe the corresponding files are replaced or the error is fixed.

Cannot Edit Text and No Answer Here Fits

I'm trying to edit text in a doc I created some time ago in ID CS6. I can't access it to edit. The layer is not locked, and the text is not on a master page. I can access text on some pages but not others, and I can't figure out the difference.

I have the frame edges visible option on, so there's no problem when I can see the frame. In other cases, I can only see the frame of an image on the page, and trying to select another object (where the text is) above or below doesn't work. I just don't understand why all these frames are no longer visible like I left them.
I'm sorry, but I don't know how to unlock the frame; and I don't know what a reveal triangle is. I'm working in Windows, by the way.

Correct. Reader can't edit PDF files. It can't even create PDf files, so you must have used the software that came with your scanner to do that.
You should scan your documents to another format, like PNG or TIFF, edit them in a photo editor, like Photoshop, and then convert them to PDF using an application like Acrobat.
