Two SWFs on a page - one in fullscreen, dropping frames in OSX

Hi
The issue we're facing is choppy playback of a fullscreen video only in OSX while there is a second SWF underneath it on the HTML page (fullscreen mode in the SWF on top, while the other SWF in the background sits idle).
We have one video player in the page at first, and when you click a button another video player of a different kind gets rendered on top of the first player. The player on top plays fine in normal screen. When it goes to fullscreen, we're noticing choppy playback, dropped frames.
*** If we remove the first player from the HTML page completely, the 2nd player plays smoothly in fullscreen. ***
There's nothing in the code that is very CPU-intensive at all..
What could be the issue? I would assume that the top SWF (while in fullscreen) would be given priority so that video playback isnt choppy.
Is this type of thing to be expected on MAC OSX when rendering two SWFs in a page? But why wouldn't the top SWF have complete priority for rendering its video while in fullscreen?
We tried killing the NetConnection, we tried suspending all event listeners (removeEventListener), but the problem persists.
Any ideas? Anything else we should try?

Classic Report with a two-line row, the second one as a drop down?

Using APEX 4.0 is it possible to make a classic report layout that has row items sorted in 2 rows? The first row for each SQL record set row looks like the classic report 'normal' row, while the second one contains just one single column value. This second row is supposed to be hidden and should be displayable by clicking a small '+' sign at the beginning of the row.
I remember having seen this done, but I simply seem not to be able to formulate my query correctly to let Google display me the expected result. Although I am not sure if was APEX+jQuery or ExtJs. I hope though it is not ExtJS, since I do not plan to use that one.

Mixing Drop Frame and Non Drop Frame In One Timeline

We did a 7-camera multicam shoot of a rock concert over the weekend. Upon capturing we realized two of our camera operators were shooting Non Drop Frame mode while the remaining 5 were shooting drop frame. Can someone describe to me how I can eventually get all seven cameras into one timeline? I realize I might have to output/convert the non drop frame stuff. And since we're one the topic, I'd also like to ask (in case I find this out later) what I might do if we find a camera that shot 24P (29.97). Thanks in advance!

There is nothing different about the footage from the cameras...they all run at 29.97fps. The only difference is in the way the timecode NUMBERS are treated. Drop frame code simply loses 2 numbers (00 and 01) every minute except for every 10th minute. That's it. They all run at the same speed, so putting them all in the same timeline shouldn't cause any problems.
Trying to make a multiclip based on timecode will be a problem, however. You will have to find a common frame on all and use that.

Two swf files or one?

I am trying to figure out how to make this into a flash page. Since the thumb nails are seperate from the images I am wondering if I need to make two seperate .swf files or just one.

I would like the buttons to be seperated from the pictures. In the past I have made navigation menus where the thumbnails are directly above the pictures. What I'm trying to do is have a menu of buttons next to the pictures with a little space around it. I think I figured it out.

And is there any way to sync all my purchases and accounts to just have one... It is a bit stupid that you dont even get a list of something of what account you may of used, or some kind of hint, so you could log on to the right account. I am really stuck ...

Can you have two slides shows on the one interactive page?

I'm just new at learning interactive pdfs in indesign so sorry if this is common knowledge. I know how to create a slide show on a page, but can you have two slide shows on the one page or more for that matter? (Ideally I need 3.) Each slide show has its own set of images and buttons.

first is form on table....
nd another is tabular form.....
now if I make an entry in both table ,,,,and after entering data in tabular form if click on submit button of tabular for the data of tabular form get submitted,,but the data I have been enter in first form get erased.....
now my question is how can I save state of my first form even after clicking on submit button...........

in your scenario you can write manual process for one form in your both forms, using this way you can achieve you functionality.
do the above and for that manual process keep the button name as your second form button means, for two forms saving with only one button.
i am not sure in this, but you can try something.

Why Do Pages Headers Go Away on a Two Page Document When I select No Header for Page One

In the PAGES application. I am writing a simple business letter I copied from a prior letter. The letter is two pages long. I add a header in the second page and it appears on the first page as well. I correct the problem, and unselect the box that indicates I want the same header on all pages. The header goes away on page one and on page two.
I cannot access a header for page two. It is as gone as gone can be.
I assume there is at least some amount of QA on this stuff, or do the customers do all of that?

I want to make sure I understand.
So I want to write a simple business letter, say to you. All standard settings, profile for a business letter.
I write the first page, and I happen to go one paragraph into the second page. At the upper right hand corner of the second page I "mouse over" the header, select the right side box, and enter To Peter, Page Two. Then I navigate to Document Inspector, under headers and footers, I select "Hide on First Page of Section." But that is not right? Because it doesn't solve my problem?
Just to make sure I understand, even though I am in the second page of the section, selecting the option will make the page headers go away for page one and page two? Forgive me I appreciate your help and am not blaming you. Apple expects me to not only go through the search to find this setting as it does not default, but Apple also wants me to create a second section for the second page, and then enter the header, then navigate to Documents Inspector and then select "Hide on First Page of Section?"
By the time I go through all of that, then save and print the two business pages, I then create an envelope in a new Pages document. Give it a name, enter your address, and then print, and save the envelope.

Can a SWF have more than one page?

My client wants to do an internet microsite from an interactive document I created in InDesign CS5... I exported it as a .swf, but every page is its own file. I have never used Flash, so I am a bit lost. The client needs to have all 18 pages of my layout as one .swf. Is this possible?

If you have 18 separate swf files and they contain code for interaction, then you cannot combine them into a single swf because the code will be stripped from therm. Toi retain any coding in them, you could have a single swf that dynamically loads them, but since you say your client wants one file, and that would end up giving the client 19 files, that's probably not going to work out for you.

My credit union requires a two page sign-in. Firefox does not allow me to get beyond page one.

When attempting to log-in to my credit union, I type my ID on page one and hit enter. Firefox presents this message, "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." If I click on allow it sends me back to page one.

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Two different main windows in one form?

I have a requirement to print a list at the end of an invoice printout. The invoice can cover multiple pages, and the secondary list can also cover multiple pages, one page per material. So essentially I need two different definitions of a main window. I tried defining my form like this:
Page...............Next Page.......Main Window
FIRST..............FIRST.............MAIN
LIST.................LIST...............MAIN_L
The first part prints fine, but I can't get the second part to print. I tried adding a command after the first main window to go to page 'LIST', but nothing in window MAIN_L will print. All the secondary windows on page LIST print, but nothing from MAIN_L.
Then I tried changing MAIN_L to be a secondary window and I can see my data, but in this case it will not allow me to enter the command to start a new LIST page.
Help! Is this even possible?

Try to create two Table Nodes in the Same Main window.
Like:
FIRST ... next is FIRST
.. MAIN
.... TABLE1
.......HEADER (table1)
.......MAIN (table1)

Depends on what you trying to setup but for purchases, you can roll down at the very end of the iTunes/AppStore pages to logout of your current account and then login into a different one. Then your purchase will be billded to this new account. Everything will sync as you used to but in order to use the purchased content in iTunes or other devices, you will need to authorize them (you can have up to 5 devices authorized for an account).

Your first question:
There might be a better way of achieving what you wish to do, but following these steps could help you out.
You might want to blend in Thumbnails and Invisibles either with (cmd+shift+i and cmd+alt+p) or over the View section in the Menubar.
1. go for Documents (right end of the Toolbar) -> Section
2. place your cursor at the very top of your second page and click "Create new Section->Starting with this page" in the side bar on your right.
(what you are actually doing next is setting the pagenumbers for each section you created. You can see your sections in the Thumbnail view.)
3. click on your first page (the first and only page of your first section) and mark the checkbox "Hide on first page of section"
4. click on your second page (the first page of your second section) and "Insert page number" -> start at 1
Your second question:
Im not quite sure i understand what exactly you want to do here. One page, two columns, each column with another page number? As far as i know this is not possible.

how to get page one to animate only once in interactive pdf? I like when the document opens up in acrobat and the the page animations work but when I go to one of the pages and hit my designated home button it goes back to page one but it reloads again. As a user it would drive me crazy to have to wait for all of it to load......anyway to have that page one load once as the opening page?

I don't think you really mean animations (unless you have a placed SWF file) because things created with the Animation panel don't work in PDF. Nonetheless, you're talking about some kind of interactivity which is set to happen On Page Load.
So when you return to that page, of course the interactivity loads again.
There isn't a On Page Load Once command.
Perhaps you need to rethink why the interactivity is there. If it's important, maybe it should be triggered by a rollover or by clicking a button.
