Two UC560s, Multisite Config

I have 2 UC 560s in a multisite config, site a and site b have pots lines for outside access, site a has an ext range of 1XX, site b has an extension range of 2XX, and forwarders are in place on both sites to dial across the multisite by 3 digit extension.  The problem we are having is that when, say a user at site a does a cfa to a cell phone and a call comes in to the number for site b, when whoever answers the number at site b tries to transfer to the forwarded extension, it does nothing at all.  When the user at site b transfers to a live extension at site a and a user answers, the user who answered can transfer to the forwaded line and it will contact the cell phone.  Any thoughts?

The vpm debug was active at the time of the call.
Here is the config for Site A:

  • How to perform continous acq after two seperate AI config?

if i Configure for two set of channels say, channel 0 to 4 as group 1 and channel 5 to 15 as group 2 using AI group config, how do i perfrom continous acquisition?

    Hi,
Before I get into your question, what version of LabVIEW are you running? What DAQ device do you have? From your question, it appears that you are programming in Traditional DAQ. If you have LV 7.x you may be able to program your device in DAQmx. DAQmx is the new driver and we are trying to get all of our customers to move away from Traditional DAQ and program their devices in DAQmx. DAQmx is substantially easier to program in than Traditional DAQ. In addition to this, all new devices will support DAQmx as Traditional DAQ is phased out.

  • Two UC560 on virtually the same site

    Hello,
we have 2 offices next to each other and connected to each other with a direct connection. So virtually the network falls on the same subnet. We are putting in one UC560 on each office(UC1 and UC2), each system has 4 FXO lines coming in.
So we want to put UC1 and UC2 on the same voice VLAN and same data VLAN, so that if people move from one office to another, they can simply move their phones.
    data vlan 1 192.168.1.0/24
    voice vlan 100 192.168.201.0/24
    UC1 will have IP 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.201.1
    UC2 will have IP 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.201.2
    does this make sense?

    Hi There,
I understand what you are trying to do here, but I have serious concerns (And doubts) of it working, simply because the UC was not designed to operate in this fashion, having two systems on the same subnet for both the data and voice VLAN is not a recommended operating mode, I am not even convinced this would work
Ideally you with create a VPN tunnel between the two of them and have them on separate subnet's (VLAN-ID's can be the same though) and use Multi-Site configuration in CCA to create a multi-site service, and if possible setup Hot-Desking or something similar.
Alternatively, program each and every phone into both systems so that way they can make them mobile and connect them up to each system individually if need be, but you will see need to create a sanctioned connection between the two systems to allow for communications or call transferring between the two boxes.
The way you are suggesting to do it will most likley not be a CCA approved operation and you would have to revert to doing everything via CLI, and unless you are UC Express certified (Or the company is) then you will not even get CLI support.
Maybe someone else might have a way for you to do it, but in all likelihood, this will not work as you intend it too
    Cheers,
    David Trad.

  • Two-Tier Firewall Config

We want to setup a Data Center Network for core banking with all the application and Database servers. For the same we are planning to design a Two-Tier firewall network architecture. First Tier firewall (Cisco PIX in failover mode) will have Web servers in DMZ as front end application server. Second Tier firewall (PIX firewall Failover mode) will have the Application and database servers in DMZ as back end servers.
Flow of data will be such that any user logging from internet will access web servers at the first level, get authenticated and web servers will in turn talk to the internal application servers for any data request.
    Is the above design OK….
    Pls find attached topology diagram….
Also provide me with the sample PIX config for the above Two-Tier firewall architecture implementaion of application and database servers.
    Hi,
IP Scheme is as listed below.
    Lan IP = 192.168.1.0/24 - 192.168.24.0/24
    Internet Firewall DMZ Network (Tier-1) = 192.168.252.0/28
    Internet Firewall Internal Network (Tier-1) = 192.168.252.16/28
    Intranet Firewall External Network (Tier-2) = 192.168.252.16/28
    Intranet Firewall DMZ Network (Tier-2) = 192.168.252.32.0/28
    PiX Firewall Internal Network (Tier-2) = 192.168.252.48.0/28

    Hi Collin,
This server is lync edge server. My idea is one network card for to NAT with public IP adddress ( 172.16.2.x NAT with Public IP ). One is for the Internal Firewall To NAT with internal network. (20.20.0.x NAT with internal IP 10.10.0.x).
Your suggestion is want to use one NIC with one IP address for DMZ server going to both firewall, is it ?
    Please advise me, thanks.

  • Uc560 multisite solution

    Hi all,
Our customer needs to connect 10 sites, 1 principal (HQ)  with 102 ip phones and 50 softphones for different users,  and 9 sites more  with 6 to 12 ip phone users and 2 softphone each.
    The questions are:
    1) May I use uc560 and 540 in a multisite arquitecture?
    2) How many sites could be interconnected?
    3) is it Possible and good to have HQ with 2 UC560 connected at the same location in order to support the 152 users?
    4) Offcorse the customer's expectative is to have 4 digits dialing for internal calls, and outgoing calls to the pstn just by the HQ office.
I donb´t know but for me these all stuff is amazing,
    will all this work?
    I appreciate your comments,
    REgards
    Gonzalo

    Gonzala,
    1) Yes
    2) 5
    3) No
    4) This is probably not the right solution.
Where are you located in the world?
    Thanks!

  • One SRM with two R/3 config.

    Hi,
    SRM 5.0, Extended classic scenario
I have completed the config. with one SRM and one R/3 (back-end) scenario. It is functioning well !!.
Now I have to add one more R/3 into the existing SRM box.
Can you please let me know the key configs, I have to do it.
    With regards,
    Pranav

    Hi All,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Hi Atul,
    >>>Basically, the important things are with the Document Types, Number ranges, >>>account assignment categories, material groups/product hierarchies, Item >>>category, etc..
I am bit nervous !!! now.
Is your above statement valid for the SRM box ?. If yes, why do I need to change this config as it works well for the (first) R/3.
    or
Are you saying the (new) R/3 Document type etc should be synch with the SRM box ?
    Please advise me.
    With regards,

  • Two-Factor authentication config

    Hey Guys,
So, trying to setup two-factor authentication on my apple account, and get stuck during the 'setup trusted device' bit.  I type in the phone number of my iphone and get the SMS with the verification code, but then i have no idea where or what to do with this code.
Any ideas?  Am i missing a step here somewhere?
    Cheers
    G

    I had the same problem.
I don't know whether or not it was a coincidence, but I did the following:
Use a computer to Logon to www.icloud.com.
    Go into Account Settings.
    Click on Advanced.
Then click on logout of all browsers.
I was then able to log into My AppleID and start the two step authentication setup. When I added a new phone, it sent an SMS and it then prompted me for the 4 digit code.
Again, not sure whether this is a coincidence, but I never received the prompt to enter the 4 digit code until I accessed the iCloud website and followed the above steps.

  • Two-tier ACE config question

    Hi,
I am an ACE newbie - I have a two-tier ACE setup and I am basically trying to get the front-end ACE to divert to a sorry page if the back end servers hanging of the Back-end ACE do not reply to their probes.
    I have the following setup...
    Internet
    |
    DMZ ACE (doing SSL termination)
    |
    Reverse Proxy Server farm
    |
    Corporate LAN ACE
    |
    Application Server farm
DMZ ACE is probing Rev Proxy farm on TCP 2000 - and using sticky cookie insertion.
Corporate LAN ACE is probing App Server farm on TCP 2000 - and using sticky cookie insertion.
If the Application server farm becomes unavailable, I would like the DMZ ACE to detect this and then redirect the clients to a 'service unavailable' page hosted on the Reverse Proxy Servers.
My thought so far is the following...
    DMZ ACE
    rserver Rev_proxy1
    rserver Rev_proxy2
    probe icmp probe_icmp
    ip address <App_Server_VIP>
    serverfarm Rev_proxy_farm
    probe probe_icmp
    prove probe_tcp_2000
    rserver Rev_proxy1, Rev_proxy2
So the above Rev_proxy_farm availability is tied to the appearance of the App Server vip due to the directed icmp probe to the Corporate LAN ACE VIP - the VIP will disappear if the App Server farm does not respond to it's TCP probe.
I am then not sure how to redirect the HTTP request to the Reverse Proxy Server seeing as though these have already been flagged unavailable.
Should I then follow 'Configuring a Sorry Server Farm' as per http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/ace/v3.00_A1/configuration/slb/guide/classlb.html#wp1049254 to divert the connections from the Reverse_proxy:2000 to Reverse_proxy:3000 (which serves Service unavailable page)?
Any advice on whether this is the best way to go would be much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Al

you need to create a redirect host and serverfarm and use this serverfarm as a backup serverfarm for your main serverfarm.
I'm not sure that the icmp ping will work.
Because the ping will be sent to dest ip address of the vip, but the dest mac-address ill the rev-proxy where your configured the probe.
    Give it a try.
    Gilles.

  • Stretching Timeline cross a two computer monitor config.

I'm working with FCP6 using two Computer monitors. I like to stretch my timeline across
the two screens. I then save my window layout. If someone else comes to use the machine,
calls up the standard window layout, and then I come back later and call up my custom window layout that I saved earlier, the timeline is no longer stretched out across the two screens.
Does anybody know why and how I can make it default to the timeline stretch across the two windows?
    Thanks.

    Mathew,
You shouldn't have a problem using built-in audio if you're monitoring on the computer monitor. Built-in is low enough latency that it shouldn't matter. As you say, they appear to be in sync. If you were monitoring video through your Decklink, and audio through the built-in, then I would suspect a problem because the video D to A conversion introduces video latency.
Why a sequence would go a bit out of sync a few weeks later after making no changes is a mystery. Unless you changed something else in your system that could have changed the buffer settings for built-in audio? Just a longshot.

  • Two proposed RAID configs on P965 - Which is better and why?

    Hello again,
I've upgraded my signature to indicate my current status - case and power supply due in today.
I'm considering getting a 3ware, Promise or Adaptec, dedicated RAID controller card and have a few questions.
         1. Am I correct in assuming that I will not have problems installing Mobo RAID after installing the system(WinXP Pro), as long as the system is on another non-RAID drive? (Raptor on SATA #1 - see signature)
         2. How much of a performance hit will I take by using the Mobo RAID instead of a dedicated controller card?
         3. SATA2 dedicated controller cards come in either a PCI or PCIe. The theoretical total transfer rate of the PCIe would be much higher than the older PCI: 133 vs 66 (I think). Am I correct about this and what is the real world experience on the subject?
Thanks to everyone for their knowledge - you've really helped out.
    Bruce McFarland

    1) That would be a correct assumption. However, you will have to follow a certain procedure to switch to AHCI or RAID mode and to install the Intel Matrix Storage driver. Find the procedure here, worked for me on multiple occasions.
    2) Difficult to say, what type of RAID are we talking about? The ICH8R is pretty decent for an onboard solution, but a dedicated controller card will always be faster as it has it's own processor. Depending on the type of RAID, there can be a performance difference (for example RAID 3 or 5).
    3) Bandwidth is probably not your biggest concern. Main difference between PCI and PCI-E is that multiple components share a PCI bus, a PCI-E connection is point-to-point (a dedicated PCI-E lane). PCI-E should be faster than PCI, but again the difference depends on the type of RAID and your drive usage.

Intersite dialing works just fine and Multisite is configured via CCA with status of UP.
I have one user who will be moving between sites for long periods of time (6 months at site 1 and the other 6 months at site 2).
I want to the ability to phyiscally move his phone from site 1 and plug it into site 2 and have it retain all site 1 settings (understanding the limitations of having that phone statically register to site 1, call park, etc).
UC520's are currently configured for MultiSite full mesh however when I have tested plugging in a 7970 phone from site 1 into site 2's port(s) it does not register.
Under the dated Multisite deployment guide (https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9568) it states:
"Can I move my IP phone between multiple sites?
Yes. In this case the "roaming" IP phone will be statically configured to register to its home site even if it is physically moved to a remote site. The roaming IP phone will receive all its services, including PSTN & voicemail from its home site, essentially making it a Teleworker phone."
Does anyone have this configured and workding? Am I missing a configuration step outside of having Multisite configured between the two sites and simply unplugging a configured extension from Site 1 into Site 2?
Other than configuring the phones via CCA to their Home UC I cannot see how to "statically" configre them to register with the home site.
    Appreciate any guideance.

    Jordan,
Firstly, thanks for your continued replies, I really do appreciate them.
For what in theory seemed to be a simple configuration, this one has me pulling my hair a bit and of course it is for a single user!!!
I went with your initial recommendation of changing the Voice VLAN so that each site now has a unique Voice VLAN address range.  I then deleted all multisite configs and reconfigured them after the address change had been made.
Touble is I am not able to ping back an forth on the new Voice VLAN range and not quite sure where in the ACLs I need to modify or add the new Voice VLAN info (again all configuration has been done through CCA so it has made all updates)
    I have now:
    Site 1:
    Data: 192.168.10.xx
    Voice: 10.1.1.xx
    Site 2:
    Data: 192.168.20.xx
    Voice: 10.1.2.xx
I am able to do intersite dialing between the two using (Intersite Digit)-(Site ID)- (Extension) and calling back and forth works fine.
When I move a phone that was configured to Site1 and plug it into a switch port in Site 2 it does not register
I update the TFTP to use address of 10.1.1.1 (Site 1's TFTP Server) it still does not sucessfully register.
    I am able to ping:
    Data - Site 1 - to - Site 2
              Site 2 - to - Site 1
    (all good here)
Voice - Site 2 - to - Site 1 but not the other way around.
Obviously I need to include 10.1.2.xx in the range of IP's that can be seen throught he VPN however I do not know where to make those modifications. Do you have any suggestions on that or a good place where I can find that documented?
Also in this configuration should the "Teleworker Phone" option be checked for the extension that will be statically configured to it's home site?
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

  • Specifying coherence-cache-config.xml for multiple clusters

    Hi,
I am running two cache clusters (Cluster A and B that hold different cache types). we have a web application that needs to communicate with both the clusters. we have two coherence-cache-config-g.xml files, one for each cluster.
where do we specify the two coherence-cache-config.xml for each of these clusters in our coherence.jar that we deploy on the web app server.
    pls provide some inputs...
    thanks in advance,
    - G.

    Hi G,
You can define a path to the cache configuration descriptor in your operation configuration override file (tangosol-coherence=override.xml) or specify it in the system property "tangosol.coherence.cacheconfig".
Please see this Wiki page for details:

  • Hard-coded endpoint port numbers in services-config.xml

Is it possible to remove hard-coded port numbers in
services-config.xml and replace them with variables? I'd like to
deploy the same Flex application War file (including
services-config.xml within it) to our Dev, UAT and then Production
environments, for which the endpoints and port numbers must vary.
Re-building the app for each environment isn't desirable.
    Has anyone else achieved this?

Maybe I can clarify what I mean. I'm assuming that basically
the same war file needs to be deployed twice to the same app
server, as in the original example, excluding changes to config
    files (e.g. editing xml=ok, recompiling jars/swf=not ok).
The problem arises because if you were to change the config
file to use another port, it wouldn't make a difference to the
client app, which has the port and destination compiled in. You
would need to compile the app twice, once with the first port, once
    with the second.
So my workaround is to compile (not deploy) with a config
file containing two sets of destination channels, then in your
deployed config files you remove one of the sets.
Assuming you want to deploy two instances of an app into a
single app server, there will 3 different configs, one used just to
compile, and one for each of the two deployed instances.
Config A (compilation config files, used only to compile the
flex application, not used during server start up) contains:
    my-rtmp1, my-rtmp2, my-destination1, my-destination2.
    Config B (server 1-debug) contains: my-rtmp1, my-destination1
    Config C (server 2-release) contains: my-rtmp2,
    my-destination2
So when you deploy two instances with Config B and Config C,
there is no port conflict. The Flex app then has some parameter set
in the wrapper (or the absence of said parameter could be the
indicator) to tell it whether to use my-rtmp1 or my-rtmp2.
I just tested this and it worked. The way I tested was to add
two buttons to a the Flex app, one which connects to
destination1and performs a fill, one which connections to
destination2 and performs the same operation. This Flex application
    was compiled with config A.
I start a server with config B, and the application starts
fine, and the first button gets the fill as expected. The second
button instantly crashes the entire browser with an illegal memory
access exception. The second set of dest/channels aren't listening,
since the server doesn't know anything about them in it's config
    file.
So on the bright side, that confirms to me that you can
compile an app with redundant channels and destinations, then
choose which destination/channel you want to use at runtime.
On the down side, being able to consistently cause a crash
like that usually isn't a good sign. I'll look again on Monday, and
raise a Flash bug if it's still present in the latest version.

  • Sql2012 multisite cluster connection issues

    Hello,
I have a two node multisite sql2012 cluster.  This cluster resides in domainA and the clients in domainA are connecting without issue.  We have a second Domain we will call DomainB that also needs to connect to the sql cluster. We do not have a
trust relationship between the domains established nor are we replicating dns between the two domains. What I did in DomainB was add two host address records. For example:
    Cluster name - SQLClus
    DNS Records
    SQLClus - 10.210.200.233  (Node 1)
    SQLClus - 10.210.201.233  (Node 2)
This is how things are setup in DomainA and it works without issue. For connectivity I am using the sql native client 11 in both domains.  The only thing that I can think of that is different is the fact that in DomainA the nodes are members of that
domain and they are setup to register their dns records. In DomainB the dns records are just static records that I added.
To provide futher explanation of the issue when I am trying to connect from DomainB the connection fails on occasion and when it fails if I ping the cluster name it is going to secondary server which is not active at the time. I thought the native client
ODBC driver was supposed to be able to handle this and it would try the second IP listed in dns?
Any thoughts on how to get this working properly across the two different domains?

Unfortunately, nodes in a Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC) need to be in the same Active Directory domain even when they are in different network subnet. Check the section
Additional Considerations for Multi-Subnet Configurations from this MSDN article
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms189910.aspx
The WSFC should be the one creating the DNS records via the Active Directory integration. Otherwise, the cluster would not be able to work with the DNS records
