Two-Way Synchronization Failure (8830/Lotus)

System Configuration Details (Blackbery)
8830 World Edition (Verizon)
Blackberry Dvice S/W:  v4.2.2.196 (Platform 3.0.0.84)
System Config Details (Computer)
Windows XP Pro (V 2002) SP3
Dell Latitutde D531
AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile
1 GB RAM
Currently Running Desktop Manager V4.6.0.12
Lotus Notes V 6.5.5
I have been attempting to get synchronization to work on the above configuration for several days now. I initially had installed Desktop Manager V4.6, then stepped back to loading the Verizon supplied V4.3. I then did a clean install per instructions on this board, including removal of the Registry keys for RIM and reloaded back to V4.6.
Sync works when a one-way push to the device, and when two-way in everything EXCEPT Calendar. As soon as I do a two-way sync of the Calendar, the system crashes (Unhandled Win32 Exception). I have Visual Studio running on the machine but the debugger is not providing any information (although I concede not waiting for a long time...I close after about 45-60 seconds).
The device is pretty useless for me without calendar sync so I am sort of frustrated at this point.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi...
This is usually indicating an issue in your calendar possibly on the BB Handheld.
Backup your device.
Go to Backup / Advanced and clear your calendar
Configure your PIM to do a 1 way sync from Lotus to BB.
Remember to reset your 1 way sync to 2 way.
Retry full intellisync.
If this does not work, you may have an issue with a calendar entry.
One item of interest, Lotus 6.5 can support wireless sync of calendar. Have you recently been setup on the Blackberry?
You may want to check with your BES admin and see if your setup for wireless = True. (assumption that your on BES)
Let us know how your doing...
H.

  • TWO WAY Sync is grayed out. Cannot two way synchronize BB.

    Outlook. BB.
When attempting to Configure Synchronization Settings for ASC II importer/exporter, the only options given are ONE WAY Synchronization either to or from the device. The one I want to pick:
TWO WAY Sync is grayed out.
How can I ungray the two way sync to be able to sync my outlook/tasks/address/tasks.
I will synchronization with a USB port, not through a wireless connection.
    Thanks for any help.

Hi, When using software Desktop manager to do a backup and/or restore, I have to disable the wireless syncrhonisation in the blackberry first to enable the 2 ways sync.   Usualy, you can not use wireless  and usb cable sync., so as an example, let`s say you want to sync the adress book. go into your blackberry and into your adress book application and press the "application" button, go into "Options" and change Wireless synchronisation to "No"
After that you should see the 2 ways sync.
When completed, do not forget to put back the wireless synchronisation to "Yes" to enable it back.
    hope that helps.

  • Two-way syncing of Lightroom with Flickr?

I've been using Lightroom with Flickr for a long time. Some degree of two-way synchronization between the Flickr plugin (the Adobe one that comes with Lightroom) and Lightroom is possible. For instance coomments are downloaded to Flickr. However there are some strong limitations on this plugin:
    (1) Problems arise if you have a lot of Flickr photo sets then you may not want to keep all of them listed in Lightroom but you may want to update them after you post them to Flickr. For instance if you discover an error in a name or want to retouch a photo. This is especially the case if you move to a new computer or do a major upgrade and lose the photo sets listed in the plug in.
    (2) If you import photos from another library where you have set up a Flickr album then that album does not get imported to Lightroom in the Flickr publish module. The connection to Flckr is lost!
I'm in no way suggesting using Flickr as a backup but it would be useful to be able to link to existing albums in Lightroom and to locate existing files in the current library or list them as missing so that republishing is then possible. If anybody knows a way of doing this then please reply.
Currently I'm using Lightroom 4.3 on a Windows 7 PC.
    Thanks
    Marcel

Success! I think I have gotten to the bottom of this now. With the latest version of Jeffrey Friedl's Flickr plugin you can indeed populate both the sets and groups.
The link provided by Victoria to Jeffrey's blog allows you only to populate the "photostream" collection in the publish services of Lightroom.
However further down in the settings of the jf Flickr plugin there is a part entitled:
"Sync set/group membership for photos already part of this publish service".
It gives a warning about this being beta and undocumented, so to backup catalog before trying.
I did this and synced nearly 7000 photos in Flickr in a lot of sets that it automatically added and located the vast majority of them in my Lightroom library, which contains about 45,000 images. It all took maybe half an hour to run, so it was slow (even with a fast internet connection) but worked! I am a happy camper!
A bonus that I was not looking for but discovered is that this plugin will also sync with Flickr groups.
The version I used is http://regex.info/LightroomPlugins2/releases/flickr-20130324.298.zip
Thanks Victoria and Paige for all of your help
    Marcel.

  • IPod Touch "Two-Way Sync"

I am pleased to report that I just returned from a month-long trip throughout Europe and my iPod touch worked like a charm. I bought it prior to departing to use it for mobile internet access as I new I would find WiFi-enabled places everywhere. It enabled me to stay in contact with with friends and family via .Mac e-mail, book guest-houses on-line, share photos with travel companions, not to mention having access to music on the long train rides. In short, a great digital travel tool.
    But here is the question:
I came home and found that while the e-mails that were sent to me (and read on the road on my iPod) were available to read on my MacBook, I was not able to find the e-mails in my Desktops's Send Box that I originally sent from my iPod Touch. I am not sure if I need to set this "two-way" sync up via the iPod touch when I hook it up to my computer via iTunes or is it something I need to arrange on my computer via Systems Preferences?
    Thanks kindly in advance,
    john

    Hi John,
Nope. Messages sent from my iPod Touch do not appear in the Sent folder either on the desktop or the .mac web mail. I am wondering, how do you have System Preferences- .Mac under Sync set up? I just noticed that "Synchronize with .Mac" for me is set on Manually. Perhaps you have it on Automatic? Also, on the iPod itself, I now find that there is a section to set up Sent Messages to be placed in Sent messages on the Server. And you didn't have to do any of this? Seems the Sync was set up for you more readily. Let's see if these adjustments do it for me too.

  • Unable to establish two-way communication with the printer

I have a HP Photosmart B8550 large format printer, but failed recently to print the whole page, but only one third of the page.  The OS is Window 7 in my commuter.  I downloaded the driver from HP website, but it is not working.  The result of the failure is "The computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device."  One of the reasons I guess is that I failed to register my printer because I had no way to finish the registration, because there is no further process even if I put my printer name or number into the required block.  Anyhow I failed recently to print anything in the printer.  I am seeking the support after a lot of tries.  Thanks.

I have two HP computers and two HP Photosmart B8550 printers.  A month ago printers were not working.  I tried in vain in two computers to download new HP software and driver from internet and got the HP Solution for install error - Windows 7.  Based on this Solution on desk, I tried many many times to follow every step, but the result is the same:  Fatal error during the installation.
By using other tools like HP Printer Diagnostic Tools, HP Print and Scan Doctor, I failed too because the diagosis or the choices are not accuate.  For example, the printer is disconnected.  It is wrong even if I changed ports and USB calbe again and again.  The control panet can prove that there is communication, but the printer cannot work as directed.  There is no way to test the printing as Doctor requested, saying the computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device, which is not helpful to go ahead with the solution.  There is no way to register the printer because there is no such a model HP Photosmart B8550 in its list after search.
It is even worse that the new window dialogue asked me to find HP Photosmart Essentials in my computer to install it again and again, and I could not concel the request whenever I open my computer.
I guess the HP printer software and driver has something wrong in its root design, which leads me to failure in installation so that the computer could not recognize my printer.  In short, the new HP software and driver makes my printer not functional.
By the way, my two printers can work internally in printing sample paper and report and two computer are working in perfect condition.

  • Delivery notification for two way ports

    HI
I am using a two way BasicHttp Adapter  for sending requests and receiving response from a Web service. I want to handle Delivery Notification errors but since it works only for one way ports how can i implement the same for my scenario Please advice.
    Regards
    Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
    Snippet below from the
link should answer your specific question.
Handling Delivery Failure Exception (using a request-response port)
    There is a great post
by Naveen Karamchetti about this; this is the key steps…
In order to catch an exception within your scope block in BizTalk while using a request-response port, you might have to do the following:
Set the retry-count to 0 on your physical request-response port which you use to bind.
Enable the flag Delivery Notification to ‘Transmitted’ on your logical request-response port within the orchestration.
Catch the “Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.DeliveryFailureException” exception and handle it as you’re please.
The Delivery Notification flag on the Send Port indicates that the orchestration must be NOTIFIED back, in case the message has not been received by the destination. Delivery Notification works only when
the Retry Count set to 0. When a message cannot be delivered, a Delivery Failure Exception is raised and the exception needs to be handled by the Orchestration.

  • SCOM Agent in Pending Management with two way trusted domain

    Hello Guys,
I have two trusted domain abc.com & xyz.com with two-way trust forest-wise authentication enabled and my SCOM 2012 R2 Management server is part of abc.com. And there are multiple host which are part of domain xyz.com.When I am pushing agent from SCOm console
to server then agents are getting installed with success message in task pane, but my agents are now at in pending Management.
for this I am getting Event ID 20002 opsmgr connector with following message "A device at IP 10.1.1.6:54277 attempted to connect but could not be authenticated, and was rejected." on SCOM Server.
And below message on the server where I am installing the agent.
    Event 20071 OpsMgr Connector
The OpsMgr Connector connected to SCOM.abc.com, but the connection was closed immediately without authentication taking place.  The most likely cause of this error is a failure to authenticate either this agent or the server .  Check the event log
on the server and on the agent for events which indicate a failure to authenticate.
    Event 21016 OpsMgr Connector
OpsMgr was unable to set up a communications channel to SCOM.abc.com and there are no failover hosts.  Communication will resume when fabSCOM2.nmfab.loc is available and communication from this computer is allowed.
    Event 20070 OpsMgr Connector
The OpsMgr Connector connected to SCOM.abc.com, but the connection was closed immediately after authentication occurred.  The most likely cause of this error is that the agent is not authorized to communicate with the server, or the server has not received
configuration.  Check the event log on the server for the presence of 20000 events, indicating that agents which are not approved are attempting to connect.
Need help to resolve this can any one help me.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
    Here i  suspect Authentication issue.
1.Could you please if 88, 389 & 3268 ports are opened between client domain controller and management server.
    2. if ports are already open collect netmon traces on both client and management server simultaneousely and check if there are any kerborose errors

  • Issue with publishing schema as webservice using WCF-BasicHTTP two way channel

    Here is my scenario:
I am trying to publish a Req-Resp schema which will be consumed by an orchestration and will return a response to me .When I invoke the WCF service end point it triggers the orchestration but the response never comes back to the SOAP UI. My orchestration
is completing and returning the response.
But in the SOAP UI I am instead getting : <Message>Root element is missing.
I am using WCF-BasicHTTP two way port. My app pool id under whcih the BT service is hosted  is part of Administrator group on the server
My config file is as well updated with   <trust level="Full" originUrl="" /> info.
What could be the reason for failure.

    Hi,
Did you try checking your orchestration response xml against the schema definition WCF service is expecting to return.

  • Not syncing two-way with Entourage2008 & BB Curve

I am new to a mac, but old to my blackberry curve. when i sync now with pocketmac, it doesn't always update my blackberry with the latest calendar entries. For example, i have a recurring appointment, and i delete one of the dates in entourage, but my blackberry still shows the event even after syncing. i went into the pocketmac menu and made sure that it was syncing two-way, but it hasn't helped. it seems to be better about adding events, but doesn't always get it right when i delete an event and then sync. Recently deleted about 20 events in Entourage, and when i synced the blackberry all the deleted events were added back in to Entourage. Any tips would be appreciated.

It's been asked for many times over many years, but to date Lightroom doesn't support catalog syncing in the way you describe.
The way that some users do it is to set automatically write XMP to files on both computers to On (i.e. open Catalog Settings/Metadata and set the checkbox box labelled 'Automatically write changes into XMP' to On. With feature on Lr will continually write changes back to the xmp sidecar or DNG file. Unfortunately, Lr doesn't have the ability to automatically read these changes back into another catalog. Therefore you will need to do it manually. To read the updates back into the other computer/catalog manually you will need to select the images on second computer then choose 'Read Metadata from File' or Synchronize Folder'.
An alternative is to use the 'Import Catalog' feature but this to has limitations and probably isn't really suited tot he workflow you describe.
    Frankly, both methods are PITA.

  • Help with getting Web Start working with two-way SSL

I have successfully transferred data (myclient.jnlp) utilizing web browsers (IE and Mozilla) from my web server (which is set up for two-way SSL "CLIENT-CERT" required) after using the browser's utility to "import" my client-side cert (in .p12 format).
After the browser connects and downloads the "myclient.jnlp" contents and places it in a temporary file, it then kicks off the javaws process with the temporary file as a parameter. The first thing javaws does is utilize the codebase and href values (found in the temporary file) to make a "GET" call to the server for the "myclient.jnlp" file (again).
However, this fails (with a SSL handshake error) since javaws uses a different keystore than IE - the server does not receive the client-side cert. I have imported the root CA and the client cert (in .pem format) into the $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts file using the keytool command but alas my server still indicates a lack of a client-side cert.
Has anyone else tried this and got it working?

    Hi Richard,
Indeed it appears that the 1.5 version will have more built-in capability for client certs. It has the look of the IE browser import capability. Unfortunately, I am stuck with having to utilize 1.4.2 for the time being. Since I have posted my original message I have found more information but have yet to get it all working. The truststore in javaws 1.4.2 does have a default (the 1.4.2 jre's cacert file - stragely enough not the same one that gets updated when you import the root CA! - but this has been noted in many other threads). The javaws keystore does not have a default and I have tried, to no avail yet, to utilize some command line parameters, see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/security/jsse/JSSERefGuide.html#Customization - to get my client cert "available" and recognized by javaws.
With the help of some debug flags here is the output on my javaws "output" log - all seems to go well up to the point of the client's Certificate chain (which appears to be empty), after the ServerHelloDone :
    trustStore is: C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\jre\lib\security\cacerts
    trustStore type is : jks
    init truststore
    adding as trusted cert:
snipped all the regular trusted certs, left my root CA as proof it is recognized...

  • Two-way SSL: Private key is incorrectly read if the charset is set to UTF8

Looks like PEMInputStream and other related classes assumes the application charset
"iso81", but if the charset is something else, then "java.security.KeyManagementException"
    is thrown.
We have everything setup and two-way ssl works when the encoding is not set. but
brakes if the encoding is UTF8.
    WLS 7.0
    OS - HP-UX
Is there any other workaround (not setting UTF8 is not a solution, ours is a WW
    app).
    Thanks

I would suggest posting this to the security newsgroup.

  • Can I add a two way trusted but in different forest domain to My existing Lync 2013 Topology !

    HI !
We have an installed Lync 2013 Std Edt. setup and its working perfectly for one domain. Our network infrastructure ( LAN ) is being shared with our sister company. They have their own forest and domain and a two ways trust relationship with our domain. I
want to add them in our Lync 2013 topology, is it possible ?? if yes, thn what are the requirements and which changes i need to consider.
Response from experts would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, You must establish a two-way trust between the central forest and user forests to enable distribution group expansion when groups from user forests are synchronized as contacts to the central forest.
Also you can refer below link

  • How to Use a Certificate for Two Way SSL and another certificate for WS Security Header at Client Console Application(C# Dotnet)

    Hi,
I want to consume a Java Web service from Dotnet based client Application. The service require one Certificate("abc.PFX") for Two Way SSL purpose and another certificate("xyz.pfx") for WS security purpose to be passed from client Application(Dotnet
Console based). I tried configuring the App.config of Client application to pass both the certs but getting Error says:
Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS with authority "******aaaa.com"
Please suggest how to pass both the certs from client Application..

    Hi,
This problem can be due to an Untrusted certificate. So you need just full permissions to certificates.
And for more information, you could refer to:

  • Two way SSL issue in weblogic

    Hi All,
we have enabled 2 way SSL in weblogic, we have one Admin Server and one managed (soa) server version 11.1.1.5
    steps we have followed:
we have imported identity certificate and key file to a custom identity store
improted trust certificates to a custom trust keystore
in weblogic consile: soa_server1-> keystires : we have updated custom identity and trust details
in weblogic consile: soa_server1-> ssl - we have updated required custom identity details and selected " Client Certs Requested And Enforced" for Two Way Client Cert Behavior.
but while testing our process we are getting below error:
we have tried openssl to test the connectivity but not sure about the output, is there any way to trace the SSL connection?
any input will be really helpful.

  • How to pass data back to MS CRM online from Azure SB with two-way listener?

    Hi all,
I have already setup the integration between MSCRM Online 2015 and Azure using two-way listener.  However, I am unable to retrieve the return string "Success" in MSCRM side, such as System Jobs.  Anyone has idea?  Thanks.
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334438.aspx
    public string Execute(RemoteExecutionContext context)
    Utility.Print(context);
    return "Success";
    Best Regards,
    Gary

    Hello Gary,
From my understanding, Azure integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM works as follow:
A registered Azure aware plugin sends the execution context to an Azure service bus
A listener process the message as they are queued by the Azure service bus
If the listener is a two way listener, then the listener may return a string response to the plugin
The plugin receive the response and process it
So you need both an Azure aware plugin and a listener. The Azure aware plugin is responsible for sending the execution context and process the response. In your case, you would want the plugin to write the response using the tracing service.
I think you registered the default Azure aware plugin which only sends the execution context. You need to implement your own Azure aware plugin in order to process the response. the sample Plug-ins project located in SampleCode\CS\Azure\Plug-ins implements
exactly what you want to achieve.
I hope this answer will help you.
