TX Finance code DV - what they sent me

I sent a TX DV finance code letter to a lender that bought a car I cosigned on and was repoed in 2011. Here is what they sent me:
1) letter of date they assumed the original debt with signatures
2) balance (something they printed up themselves)
3) date of last payment (which is incorrect-something they printed up)
4) original loan amount (something they printed up)
5) motor vehicle retail installment sales contract with both of our signatures (copy is COMPLETELY illegible because of the poor quality of the copy. I can't make out 90% of letters or numbers. Also where the vin is supposed to be is blacked out)
6) credit application with only my exhusband's info and no signatures from either of us
7) notice of plan to sell vehicle (no specific date, time location of auction)
8) letter with date that the car was sold at auction and calculation of deficiency (which doesn't match the amount owed)
If anyone is an expert with repos in Texas I would love to send you the pages. Any feedback? I feel like a lot is left out...

Here is the letter I was thinking of sending them in response. What do you think?
On June 16th you signed for a letter wherein I requested validation of this debt per Texas Finance Code Section 392.202. The paperwork I received from you on June 25th was insufficient to validate this debt for multiple reasons including the following:
1) I did not receive any paperwork proving that an account in my name was transferred to your company. An assumption contract that does not specifically list an account belonging to me is not sufficient.
2) There are THREE different final balances listed without any details about how those amounts were calculated and I did not receive an accounting of any fees added by your agency. Sec. 392.303 (a)(2)
3) I did not receive any Texas Surety bond information as required by Sec. 392.101
4) The installment sales contract you sent is a document fragment and also completely unreadable and the VIN number of the car has been blacked out.
5) there was no notice of the date, time, location of the auction where the vehicle in question was to be sold, which is required by law in order to collect a deficiency from the sale.
You have failed to respond to my debt validation request. Your collection activities must cease until you are able to properly validate this debt. Continuing any collection activities would
Please do not call me or contact me except via US MAIL.
Change to "You have failed to adequately validate this debt as requested."  They have in fact responded, they just have not validated.

  • Is there a listing of error codes and what they mean?

Continually get -3150 and -3252 codes. Can't find info when I search the site. Looks like lots of other error codes. Didn't know if anyone knows where to find a list of what the codes mean...and ways to make them stop.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages.  This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
    If that does not work
    Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.

Just installed mountain Lion. Viewing a pdf sent to me using preview and some colors are appearing BLACK, however when I view the same PDF in Acrobat they are perfect and what they are suppose to be. WHY would PREVIEW showing a different color?

Here's what I've found on the issue:
Pantone color definitions have changed (coinciding with CS6) — they are now "Pantone+" (I think that's what they're called). The "+" apparently means they're now LAB colors. Lab colors are not properly displayed in Preview (or in Finder previews) — they display as black (as far as I can tell, in all circumstances). I'm sure it's a tad more complicated than that, but that's the gist.
Now the bad news — nobody seems to know anything about a fix or workaround (unless you convert your PDFs to process — this might be a fix for sending to clients). It causes issues for me in AI files — being able to view them in the finder (with previews) is a HUGE time saver for my workflow... when they're all black, not so much.
In my chat with a director of product dev at Adobe, they placed the responsibility to fix on Apple (assuming Apple wants to support Pantone color definitions in their OS).

I've not dealt with the app store, so I don't know how to address the problem from the standpoint of dealing with Apple; but, it appears that someone has hacked into your account and used up the money. I would immediately change my password (make it difficult!!) and then deal with the app store. Was this cash? If it was a credit card, I would call them immediately, tell them what Apple said, and file a complaint - you should be getting a credit for that amount.

Alternate emaiI addresses are not used for resetting security questions, only your rescue email address is. If you don't have access to your rescue email account (you won't be able to change the address until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

For the last 2 1/2 weeks Droid Incredible 2 has been doing the same thing....uninstalled countless apps, then even a factory resest.   Plugged it in last night at 40% power, it was charging.  Woke up this morning and once again completed dead. Apparently, this is happening to a great number of Incredible 2 owners.  Hope Verizon makes it right.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

  • SCORM Error Code 201 - What could be causing it?

    Greetings folks,
I'm new to Captivate and to the forums so be gentle with me.
I just got back a report from the team that hosts the LMS that we upload to and they are saying our course is generating an Error Code 201. Now I'm not a Programmer, I'm a Designer, so stuff like this is ususally over my head.
I created a training course in Captivate 7 with 10 quiz questions with remediation on each question. They tell me the course is running fine on their testing server and that it "could" run fine on live, but I'm still worried as this is our first foray into the world of eLearning. In my mind I'd like it to be perfect, but if we can get to "good enough" that would be fine too.
So for all you gurus of Captivate, in your experience, should I worry about this or let the course go live? If I should worry about it, how would I go about fixing it? What should I look for?
    Thanks!
Here is the screen shot of the error report they sent me:

First things first. I am not an LMS expert, so this is not about troubleshooting.
However, to ensure that your course works fine on a SCORM-compliant LMS, you can upload it to cloud.scorm.com and test it out. If the course works fine there, rest assured that it will work fine on any SCORM-compliant LMS. If your LMS team comes back with an issue after this, you can counter them with this evidence that the problem is with the LMS and not your course.

  • Does Verizon ever actually follow up on what they say they're going to do?

Verizon's customer service has been an absolute nightmare to deal with, and if my wife weren't on a family plan through them with me I would drop them in a HEARTBEAT.
I've been told ~5 times they'd call me back to follow up on issues or e-mail me with follow-ups and they've never done that once. This includes supervisors as well as other employees. I cancelled my upgrade order through them after they never sent the phone and when they did, stopped my order and had it reshipped back to them, and they said once the return is processed my upgrade date and charges would be returned to their original state.
I called two days ago because my upgrade date still shows next year even though I never got a new phone, and I was promised that it would be changed to it's original date that day, but it still hasn't been updated.
So, has anyone had a Verizon rep actually follow up and do something they say they're going to do? Or do they just lie and tell you that to make you feel better?

    no they don't:
    July 10, 2013
    Corporate Office/ Verizon Wireless
    Attention: Executive Relations
    To Whom It May Concern:
Please don’t let this fall on deaf ears. I have been a long time customer of Verizon wireless for several years (well over 10 years.) My husband is terminally ill. He was diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease. A fatal, progressive, neurodegenerative disease for which there is no cure. There are no tests for ALS, no treatment and no cure. It's a torturous way to die as the brain loses all contact with the muscle system.
The reason I am telling you this is because you need to be aware of the insensitive, unprofessional customer service staff that I had to deal with for several hours today.
I use to hear so many complaints about other cell phone services, from coworkers, friends, and family. I often recommended they switch to Verizon. Until Now.
Today things changed dramatically. July 5th, Verizon Wireless turned off my phone service. I entered into a payment arrangement plan on 6-22-2013 with your financial services Department and CFS Retention Team. I’ve provided you with a copy of the agreement.
    NOTE: $250.00 was due July 1, 2013
NOTE: I paid $250.00 on time, online on 7-1-13
NOTE: Verizon’s Customer service and automated text verified payment was received.
Per my agreement I am to make 5 monthly payments of 74.00 in addition to my regular monthly bill.
On July 4, 2013 I received an automated text message indicating my service would be suspended due to the balance owed on my account. I tried several times to contact a live person at Verizon, (I assume people were working regardless of it being a holiday) Perhaps no one was working. Or no one cared to take calls. I tried two different phone numbers and could not get my call routed to a live body, instead I just kept getting the automated system requiring payment, and no matter how long I continued to hold on the line or how many times I pressed “0” for an operator. I got nowhere.
On July 5th, from 10:00am until well after 2:00pm I was on the phone with your customer service representatives. I was told until I paid the past due amount of 83.05 that nothing could or would be done to reinstate my service and I would be charged $15.00 reconnection fee for each line. Well, needless to say, I paid the 83.05 over the phone, through your automated system. A payment I did not owe! I was given no other options no matter how many times I asked to be transferred to Financial Services and the Retention Team.
Now please keep this is mind, I am the full time caregiver to my spouse (who is bedbound, paralyzed, unable to speak, eat, drink and requires a PEG tube and a bladder catheter) so I was trying my hardest to provide my husband with the care he needed and deserved and dealing with your ridiculous customer service departments games. I spoke to eight different representatives. I kept being told there was a high call volume…I suppose that would be from other customers too who experienced billing issues…it certainly wouldn’t surprise me. I was hung up on; calls were dropped during the transfer or disconnected multiple times when I requested to be transferred to the retention team. I spoke with, Shetailia, Melissa, André, Debbie, Constance, Kelsey, Hope, Kayla and finally a supervisor/mgr. by the name of Greg at ext. 2072154. I explained my predicament. That it wasn’t my fault that my service was shut off. That the fault was with Verizon. All I wanted was a refund,  a reversal of the 83.05 payment, for it to be cancelled, stopped etc. I was told this couldn’t be done. I was told I had to call my bank for them to stop the transaction. Guess what..I called my bank..and guess what they said…Verizon had to stop the transaction as they were the ones who processed it.  I’m told there is a payment dispute in place for review. I, however, have no confirmation that this is true, I’ve yet to see anything documented from Verizon to that effect. I was told someone by the name of “Liz” from upper management would be in contact with me regarding this issue…and that I would hear from her within 24-48 hours…well here we are several days later (July 10th now) and no one by the name of “Liz” or any other manager followed up. I asked for a last name of “Liz” and was told that information could not be released, I asked for a direct line to reach her at or an email, I was told the lines and email are for internal purposes only. I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years. I know that is a crock of ****.
All I wanted was the 83.05 reversed and returned to my bank account. No one would or could help. Again, working in customer service I know this is not true, I have processed many credit card/debit card/ electronic check payments for customers and had the ability to reverse the transaction. The retention team verified I followed through with what the payment plan agreement was and yet no one knew why the “system” generated a past due/shut off text. No one could offer any explanation of why the service was interrupted. I’m told the 15.00 per line reconnection fee has been waived, again I have nothing documented to prove that either. It’s amazing to me, in this day and age; with all the advanced technology out there that no one would fix this.
I didn’t owe 83.05. I did my part. I held up my end of the agreement, your company did not. And No one has bothered to right this wrong. Now, not only was the 83.05 taken from my checking account, I also incurred additional bank fees because I went into a negative status…a status that would not have occurred if your departments had done their job.
Whom do I have to contact to get something done about this? What your company did is wrong. They should and must fix it. I have already filed a complaint with the FCC, BBB and the Florida Public Service Commission. You gave me no other choice but to proceed this way. Do you have any idea of the added stress you placed on me that day, on my family who by the way, didn’t get to each much because that 83.00 would have gone for groceries.
I feel very strongly that your company owes me more than the 83.05 taken from my bank account. I have a strong conviction about businesses needing to do the right thing. You see, that’s the kind of person I am, I have integrity and I would never have left a customer to fend for themselves. I would have pursued every department, every manager and I would have followed up with that customer until the problem was resolved. At this point, there is only one thing that will keep me with Verizon…credit my account for one month’s service. That is the least you can do. And I’m not talking about the 74.00 payments.
    Sincerely Disgusted,
    Sandy M
There is one more vital piece of information you should have on hand. None of your employees know what number to give to a customer so they can reach the retention department directly. Here is the list of numbers I was given…and guess what…even one of the numbers is a non working number…really? A nonworking number for a phone company?!

Please I'd be happy if we can claim where we are misleaded when buying the product : The retailer or seller should know what they are selling ... For example I asked earphone for my shuffle ipod 3rd generation showing it but the they gave me an ear phone which just was like an ordinary earphone where I can't low and high the volume nor I can select the playlist ... But when I try to restore my shuffle here ; even that doesn't works ... Today and yesterday when I checked my friend's earphone of ipod - it was working on my shuffle and my earphone also working in his classic ...
I want to kindly request you since I showed my shuffle at the time of buying earphone there in Altek, San Martin AV in SAnta Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia and asked I need the earphone for my ipod shuffle 3G It's not my fault ... • Frustration! Refund for apps that don't do what they are supposed to?

How quickly a $2 app turns into a $50 waste of time!
I purchased a $2 unit converter app to use at work and whenever else I needed it. After playing with it for about 20-30 minutes, I realized that there were several calculation errors. The unit converter simply didn't do correct conversions! (1 foot equals 11.986 inches!?) Now, If I'm noticing some simple conversion errors myself, how many conversion errors are happening that I don't realize? Needless to say, this app is useless to me because I can't trust its data.
So I contacted the dev, and even got a response within a day. I sent a second message where I had done a lot of troubleshooting for them, hoping they could correct the problems. Nothing. No update, no response, nothing.
So this brings me to my question... how can you get a refund for an app that doesn't do what it is supposed to do?
Yes, yes, I realize the "all sales are final" thing. But this is where Apple's usual high level of customer service fails. Am I supposed to buy apps on blind faith that they work, knowing there is no refund? If I was assured that someone was testing these apps and assuring me that they do what they are supposed to, then okay. But that's not happening.
Oh, wait... read reviews before buying? How is that possible for new(er) apps? If nobody buys it because they are waiting for reviews, then nobody can review it. I'd hate to be a dev and make a great app and have nobody buy it because they were afraid it wouldn't work.
Not all apps have free/lite/trial versions.
If this "no refund" policy is to be fair, then there needs to be demo or trial periods on all apps, to be certain that they actually do what they are supposed to! Until then, I want my $2 back so I can buy a unit converter that doesn't have calculation errors. I won't hold my breath for that... or for the ~$50 of my time wasted testing someone else’s app to no avail, and trying to find a contact source for Apple to request a refund.

I do see where you are coming from.
However I'm just personally against people buying something with the intent of taking it back and that's what would worry me here. I'm talking about girls I know who buy 4 dresses to take home and try out (and perhaps wear) and then take some or all of them back. Now that's one way to shop but I don't agree with it as I think it makes it more expensive for the rest of us as there is a cost involved in customer service and repackaging returned items. Note that is an example and I don't particularly care about buying dresses myself - except on Fridays when I log on as BettyDP
And you mention you only want this for broken apps (i.e. ones that fail to deliver what the are for), rather than apps you bought and decided you didn't like/need. But this is a fine line and some people would use such a system to try to claim money back on an app they bought and thought wasn't that good, even if it did what it said. So who's to judge where that line is? And to have Apple employing people to make that call would push up the cost to all the apps.
Now you genuinely have an issue with this particular app and, in my opinion, deserve your money back. However if you buy 100s of apps and end up wanting your money back on a large proportion of them then I do not agree with you, for the above reasons. When spending money, in my opinion, you should do your research and read reviews to make sure it suits. Sometimes, for a new app, you can't do as much in which case you either take a risk or hope you can get your money back if it doesn't suit. Yes, an item sold should do what it says to meet basic trading standards (and otherwise it's basically fraud), but, IMHO, there should also be a level of caveat emptor (buyer beware).
Ultimately, for $2, I personally would probably chalk it up to experience and not try to reclaim it - thinking that the time spent trying to claim it back would be more hassle than it's worth. But then maybe that's just me.
Now your demo point is a good one. Some app developers make a demo or lite version of their app to give you a free preview. That's their choice and not something Apple enforces and they think the extra coding to make this version is worth it in that it hopefully will drive up more sales. I agree it would be nice if Apple put some funky time limit on ALL apps so developers don't have to do this, and so you get it for free for 24hours to trial. It would certainly help in your situation and I myself would also find this useful.
Finally the time you spent debugging the app is your time. You didn't need to do that and I don't think that's really that relevant here (I presume you aren't expecting to get you $2 back AND some extra because you spent some time fiddling with it?)
Anyway, now I've made my opinion known (which you are perfectly entitled to disagree with), I'll get off my high horse and actually point you out to something helpful:

Also note the interesting comments on this link which give more reasons (from a Developers point of view) why this is possibly a bad idea...
