Txt Messaging (Centro Users)

Morning All,
My dilema: when you go into messaging (text) and select "New Message" it allows you to select from a drop down menu. This menu stores the names of people you've recently sent messages to. My questions: Is there some way that you can delete the contacts that are stored in the drop down menu? Also, is there an option that would allow you to disable this function so that the phone does not store the recent contacts you've sent messages to?

For this question the answer is no, the reason is because there are no ways to disable this functions. It's built into the OS.

Cannot send txt messages from my iPhone to a android galaxy gear 3

My husband switched from an iPhone to a galaxy note three and kept his old cell number. Now he cannot receive texts from any other iPhones including mine.
Research on Internet indicates this is common issue when an iPhone user switches to an android device and keeps old number from iPhone! Problem does not happen with new android devices .any workable solution known? So far suggestions in forums have not helped. APPLE store personnel uninformed reissue,as well as Best Buy personnel.

Looks to me like the question has indeed been asked 500 times or more...but still looks to me like many still have unresolved solutions if they have more than one Apple device. I've been attempting to follow advice giving in forum conversations...still, no luck. I had turned off imessage on old IPHONE before, then unregistered my old iphone, but still can not get txt messages from any of my friends who have an iphone...not one. I do have several other Apple devices..an IMAC, an MAC BOOK PRO, an IPAD 2 and an IPAD3 still on my same Apple Account that my old phone was on. Is this now the problem

TS2755 My txt messages disappeared!

I connected to gogo on a flight yesterday, and sent a text message. Now all my other txt messages are gone. Where did they all go? Only the text message I sent while connected to gogo appears now. PLEASE help! I had a lot of info stored in my txt messages! I'm not sure how to get them back!

I have had the same problem and think I have found an answer since I only use wifi on my iphone and all my iphone contacts have a regular plan. This ( my wifi only setup) kept me from confusing when I was using the tower or home wifi .( this would be the same scenario if iphone user to ipad?) It dawned on me that all my texts would go through to them, but I was not recieving many they sent( from different users). Finally one person said that it was funny that I did not get her green ones. Epiphany! Those were the "tower" texts going through her provider. I had my sim out so absolutely no provider on my end, thus no message! Boils down to: ALL USERS THAT ARE IN THE IMESSAGE MODE, WAIT FOR THE GREEN TO TURN BLUE BEFORE HITTING THE SEND BUTTON. It seems there may be a slight delay for the phone to verify that the recipient also has an iphone and the seasoned iphone users are so quick on the draw they don't wait long enough for the automatic color change?? I'm completely new to the iphone so I could be wrong. Could any of you experienced people test my theory and let me know??

Is there any other ways to load older txt messages?

Hi, I know mac has a program to load older txt messages, but I am using windows. I need to load back my earlier messages but it took me ages and the phone become very slow and lag.
Is there any other ways to load beside that phone viewer only for mac user? It is so unfriendly for other user. Apple pls give me a solution for this problem as many people not using mac are facing such problem too.
I need something that window user can use to load earlier txt messages. Thank you .

If you are looking for an alternative to the mac program PhoneView for the pc you can use Touch Copy.

Occasional bold message appears on my Txt message.

I receved a bold text message from another imessage user today, iwas wondering how i can do this also and send a BOLD message also. I also receved a regular txt message form starbucks in Bold also. These are the only 2 messages that have shown up that have been bold on my text messages. How can i use this feature also? I have the latest versoon of IOS7
Here are 2 examples of what i was talking about.

icloud storage and device storage are very different.
go to
settings>General>usage
you can then see the two seperate entries.
icloud storage is for backup of settings and such, device storage is for apps, music, books and such.
you cannot load more onto the device if it is out of space.

Not receiving all SMS txt messages from other carriers

I've noticed that i'm not receiving some txt messages from what appears to be Verizon customers.... it happens during pockets of time. I have not been able to track the exact timeframes. is anyone else having sporadic issues receiving SMS from other carriers? i know of atleast 3 friends that have replied to messages from me that i never received the response.

I'm curious. Did you port your number from Verizon when you activated the iphone? I was having the same problem with not being able to receive text messages from my Verizon friends. It turns out Verizon didn't completely disable my number on their end even though the phone number was ported. It took someone from technical support at AT&T to call Verizon while was on the phone and explain the problem to Verizon. Verizon then disconnected my number on its end and it wasn't until then that I started receiving text messages from Verizon users.

Text messaging is my main form of communication so I understand how important it is to make sure you can consistently send and receive them. Let's keep those messages flowing.
When you say outside the network, do you mean people on other carriers? Are these users all on the same carrier? Do you know what kind of devices they have? Can you send to Verizon customers ok? What zip code are you having these issues in?
Please provide additional details so I can better assist.

Exchange 03 to txt message

i recently had an issue and we haven't changed anything at all on our end but we used to be able to send and receive text messages from our outlooks to a txt message on a phone recently within the last three weeks we can no longer do that it just sits in our Queue and exchange doesn't allow the message to go out but the user with the phone number who sends a message in with the [email protected] can send the message inbound to someone to they can receive it and open it but they cannot reply to the message can someone please help or has experienced a similiar issue how was it fixed

Have her text you first, using her new phone. See if it registers as a Text after that.

I miss being able to forward texts too. Also insert contact info from phone book like when one friend needs another friends number, or receive picture's and multi media message. I had all those features on my razor.
Now its write down user id/password then go on line and to view a picture.

How do I use a MyVerizon ringtone I received in the form of a txt message? The long touch method on the media does not work, btw.

I purchased a ringtone on My Verizon via my computer. They sent me txt message with the media but I can't figure out how to save it as a ringtone. The long touch method doesn't work. It's not anywhere in my media files, and frankly I just joined verizon but they have proven a bit difficult. On thin ice already, this isn't helping.

Have you managed to save it to your phone? If so, download a file explorer app (like Estrongs file explorer) from the Play Store. Open up the file explorer app and navigate to the "Download" folder. Scroll through your downloads to locate the ringtone file. Select it and use the file explorer's copy or cut function to put the ringtone file in the clipboard. Back out of the "download" folder to the "sdcard" level. Then look for a "ringtones" folder. Select it to open it and view the contents. Using the file explorer, paste the ringtone file to that folder. Back out of the file explorer app. The ringtone will now be available in the "phone ringtone" selection list.

Curve 3G keeps deleting my txt messages..

Hello all
I have Curve 9300 3G, running on OS 6 (6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223)
The device is automatically deleting my messages after few feeks, starting from the oldest (they last about 1 month than they are deleted..)
I have tried to look for an option of "how long to save messages" in the device and couldn't find any.... In the device manual it says and in the device Help\Search it sais the same:
home->messages->options-> Message Display and Actions , but this sub-category option doesn't appear on my device messages options (i googled it and also ppl said they can't find this option on their curve 3G...)
i have in option of messages this sub-categories:
General Text Messaging options, SMS Text, MMS and in none of them there is an option regarding how long to keep txt messages...
* Memory Cleaning is disabled
** Also in some searches in google ppl said free some memory. it is not the problem.. i have 70 MB free on the device and 7GB free in my memory card.. my BB is new.. only 2 month old
so where can i set the device settings regarding saving my messages?

if u read my post carfully u can see that i know that.. i wrote it in my post..
i have found out why i don't see this menu: Message Display and Actions, there is a bug in the OS 6 with my BB or just with curve 3G i don't know.. other people reportet my problem as well
when i go to options of messages it don't get this submenues:
Message Display and Actions
Inbox Management
Email account Managment
Spell Check
Text Messaging
after going to options of messages it goes straight to Text Messaging... and doesn't show thouse 5 sub-menues
and because of this bug i can't even find "Message Display and Actions" in the general search of the device..
the solution :
go to the call logs, then select one of the call logs and press on home button and select options
then u see the 5 sub-categories\menues with Message Display and Actions among them, go inside and there u can select the option of how long to keep messages
took me some time of playing with the device to find this crappy bug and find another way to get this Message Display and Actions..
hope it will helps other with this bug in the OS

My ipad receives email with the hotel wifi but will not send. The error message is "user name or password for ........is incorrect" but both are correct and unchanged. Restarting iPad didnt help.

I did try this too, but when I access my webmail on the iPad, the iPad doesn't allow me to type my message. I am able to enter in the "to" address and the "subject" line, but then the keyboard will not come up for me to type my message. Is there some trick to this? Very frustrating!

Spinning circle * Thunderbird is not responding when I try to write or access emails. I had attempted to delete a bunch of old txt messages in seldom used Gmail

I saw I had almost 30,000 txt messages on a Gmail account that I had created a gmail account for on Thunderbird. I didn't realize that they were going here from Gmail. I highlighted all of them and attempted to delete them. The spinning circle finally went away and all of them were gone. But when I tried to do anything else on Thunderbird with my regular email accounts (Comcast & Hotmail), I would get a spinning circle and Thunderbird is not responding. I had to use Ctrl Alt Del and then reopen. I tried compacting but this morning when I tried to write an email from one of my Comcast emails in Thunderbird, again I got the spinning circle and Thunderbird is not responding. In order to do anything, I have to close the program by hitting Crrl Alt Del and try again.
My Trash Local folders says 8300.
This morning, when I tried accessing Thunderbird at the bottom of the taskbar it said, "downloading....of 17,000 to All Mail. Had no clue what that meant. I let it continue until all were and thought my issue would be resolved. But no. :(
Something obviously got corrupted in the program. What do I need to do to fix this?

But using this user exit i am not able to display warning messages.
Can you please help me with this?

As written in the SAP documentation of the Enhancement , you can only raise error message using a
MESSAGE .. RAISING APPLICATION_ERROR.
You could manage the "warning" yourself, sending an error first time and keeping a trace of the check in some STATICS variable, and not raising the error again if data input remains unchanged between two call of the include.
