I have an app that I recently released written in C# in Visual Studio .net 2005. It is a WinForms app that has a feature to create simple reports and uses the Crystal Reports that ships with Visual Studio .net and displays the report in a CrystalReportViewer control. My installation is a Windows Installer created in Installshield 12 which includes the CrystalDecisionsRedist2005_x86 merge module. It seems to work fine except I have one customer who when he tries to display a report gets a popup window with the following error:Error launching Crystal Reports. Error: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw and exception. --->CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports Runtime.Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (....)This is followed by the stack trace. The user was previously able to display a report with my app but obviously something changed. I sent him the CRRedist2005_x86.msi that ships with the .net framework sdk to reinstall the crystal files and he ran it but still has the same issue. I'm not sure what to try next and any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the list of variable values, I guess that you miss to post UserPrincipalName.
And please make sure the snap-in Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010 is installed on this machine.
In regedit, check the following entry is in there
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicrosoftPowerShell\1\PowerShell\SnapIns –Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
In addition, please make sure the Active Directory Web Services in running on DC.

Hi Kenny,
It showed the exception window since we enabled the exception thrown under Debug->Exception window.
But the real issue would be related to your project code.

Lenovo System Update 5.0.3 failes to download packages

Hello,
SU shows an error dialog saying "An error occurred while downloading packages.".
I reinstalled SU and Solution Center and updated BIOS. But it still does not work...
I checked several posts in this community.
System Update fails to download updates
Lenovo System Update 5.03 on T430u doesn't report software updates
And I knew that tvsu_log_xxx.txt has important information for debugging.
It turned out that SU failed to download "HelloLevel_9_08_00.xml" for the following reason.
"An error ocurred while setting the digital certificates for this download"
What is this? Do the digital certificates mean SSL certificate?
Anyone know how to solve this?

I'm having a similar problem with 5.0.5. Whenever it gets to "Downloading Package Information", it will show "15% Lenovo Help Center" and it dies there. Errors below in the log.
If I look at the XML file mentioned below, it's zero-length (empty).

After Deployment of my SCOM 2012r2 when i open my Active alerts tab and Pending Management tab i get this Debug .NET frame work error as per the screen shot below. When i click continue i get the same error 3 times and SCOM Crashes.

Just several ideas to be checked:
1. Please, verify the prerequisites of Operations Console listed by the following link:

2. Install all the SCOM related system updates.
3. Clear SCOM Console cache:

4. Try to clean up Ops Manager cache on SCOM Management server. To do this stop Microsoft Monitoring Agent service, navigate to SCOM installation path (by default, C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager\Server) and
delete Health Service State folder. Start Microsoft Monitoring Agent service afterwards.
5. If nothing helps, maybe try to reinstall SCOM Console.

Hi All,
Please how do i resolve this following error:
The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception.
This comes up when i run my application online but doesn't occur when i run it during design.
The application was developed with VS2010 with Crystal Report 2010, and hosted on a 64bit Window server 2008 Server.
I have installed the both VS2010 and Crystal Report on the server with no result.

Crystal report not working on a client pc

Hi Everyone,
I have developed windows application in vb 2012 which will bind data from ms access in crystal report. My windows application is running fine on local machine where i installed vs2012 but when i create a setup an installed it on the local machine it is giving
this error
'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine error
and when i install on a client machine it is giving me the following error,

an exception. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the
file specified.

Anyone faced same error ?? Please suggest.

Also for 3rd party software usually contacting the vendor for assistance is recommended. Especially since Crystal Reports are not supported by Microsoft. The search engine or appropriate forum at the below link should be able to assist you.

Please BEWARE that I have NO EXPERIENCE and NO EXPERTISE and probably onset of DEMENTIA which may affect my answers! Also, I've been told by an expert, that when you post an image it clutters up the thread and mysteriously, over time, the link to the image
will somehow become "unstable" or something to that effect. :) I can only surmise that is due to Global Warming of the threads.

Unable to load DLL 'OraOps10w.dll': Access is denied.

Below is our error message. This happens around 5 - 7AM daily, and we are struggling with identifying the root cause. It's hard for me to believe it's code related, but anything's possible. Still, what's odd is the app runs fine for a day then an IIS reset is done and everything is fixed. Is there any way this could be related to code and has anyone dealt with this error before? EXCH 2010 auto account creation fails after rollup 4 for sp 3

We use a PowerShell script to automatically generate student accounts when they register. It was working fine until the other night when we applied updates (I can supply the entire list if needed.) Rollup 4 was one of the updates. Now when the script
runs, it creates the first account in the list and then throws the error:

This is bug 22205 and will be fixed in the release of the Exchange Groupware Portlet Suite 3.0.4 at the end of April. The workaround in the interim is to copy the D:\Program Files\plumtree\jre folder from the installation CD (or another working portal server) onto the problem server. The app pool is running as 32bit... and the OS is 64bit..
Actually, there is something that can help..
Before this error appear (800736b1),
other error (800002ad UNKNOWN.RPT) was appearing...
After that I filled the property "TempDir" in the registry with a directory that had enough permissions,
the (800736b1) began to show.
Maybe you have the answer for this error (unknown.rpt)...
I already read the document (UNKNOWN Crystal Reports for .NET Troubleshooting the Background Processing Error Message),
but nothing in this document worked for me.

Crystal Reports 2008 Redistribution on 64 Bit Server

I have a small application that uses Crystal Reports 2008 in not-integrated mode. Meaning that the .rpt files are seperate from the web application and the web application has to know the absolute path to the .rpt files before it can run them. My question is how do I deploy Crystal Reports 12 to a windows server 2003 x64 server? I have installed the redist.msi and the reports won't work I keep getting the following error:

My only guess is that there is some configuration I am not doing on the server. Can someone help me?

I think the frustration is coming more from the combination of lack of support for x64 (quite surprising for such an established product) combined with a site that's very difficult to navigate and use (the BusinessObjects site).
We ourselves have also just invested a great deal of time in building some Crystal Reports for a pilot system for a large US Insurance Company and cannot choose to avoid a 64-bit target server. We deploy at the end of next week and though we can compile deliberately for 32 bit as outlined in your post, this causes all sorts of other issues with other assemblies we are using that are not binary compiled for a specific platform and that we cannot ourselves recompile.
To be concise, your posted solution is not really a solution unless a number of other assumptions are true that we all know in practical terms to be unrealistic for anything but the simplest of apps.
For us, pulling Crystal at this point is embarassing for the customer (they specifically requested that we use it) and for Business Objects, and creates a deadline crunch in our project plan as we convert to Telerik or some other x64 solution.
We will certainly follow up with phone support to see if there are other choices (doubtful), but given that you offer a trial version of Crystal 2008 I think it's remiss that there are no clear guidelines in a publicly-reachable forum that discuss in detail how to deploy completely to x64 including ensuring that other related issues to using a 32-bit compilation on x64 are mentioned/covered. I certainly can see that even an advanced developer would continue to hold out hope that there is some configuration option combination that will work.
Finally, can you provide any guidance on when Crystal Reports will catch up to Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 and provide a 64-bit runtime?
