UCCE - multiple IVR access

I have a customer with UCCE 7.5, with 2 IP IVRs (configured as type 2)
The customer has a new business requirement, that would require ICM scripting to access/use one, then the other,
of the IP IVRs at different times during a call, possibly needing to switch back and forth several times between the IVRs.
I have tried some tests, calling "Translation Route to VRU" a second time in an ICM script in an attempt to
"switch over" to the second IP IVR, but this second call to Translation route always fails.
My question is, is this switching back and forth between specific IP IVRs even possible (with appropriate configuration),
or am I wasting my time? And if it should be achieveble, is there some unorthodox configuration required to make it work?
Thanks.

Hi Anthony,
could you please be more specific on what kind of data would be manipulated in IP IVR? I would recommend to have a universal script that would 1. update information within its host IP IVR server 2. replicate the information to the other IVR server(s).
I've got a UCCE system with a script that provides a dynamic recording solution, so the contact center supervisor can easily update an emergency message (something like "if you are calling about issue X, it's being solved, you can hang up now"). Of course, they don't want to record this message twice (as there are two IP IVR's), so the recording script does that magic: first, it saves the prompt into the local prompt repository, then it replicates this prompt onto the other IP IVR server.
I can imagine the same setup with Documents as well.
Let me know if this is something you can work with, I can give you some more details if you want.
G.
P.S. Once you translate routed a call, it's rather difficult to translate route it to the other VRU.

  • Can I have multiple computers accessing one iTunes library simultaneously?

    I've purchased a Lacie Network HD that I'm keeping all of my iTunes on. I've put an alias to the iTunes library from that drive in the music folders of the computers I want to access and update it. That all works well. The only problem is that both computers cannot have iTunes running at the same time. I get an error stating that the library is locked. It would appear that I can't have multiple computers accessing the library at the same time. Is there a work around for this aside from doing network sharing via iTunes? The reason I don't want to do that is that I want both computers to have access to the actual files if I'm using the various iLife apps that use iTunes.

    This is true. It's not a server app.
    The nearest thing would be a library file on each machine pointing to the same set of music files. However, you might have problems if both machines try to access a particulat track at the same time. Also, changes made on one machine would not be reflected in the other. So if you rip a CD on one, the files will also have to be 'imported' to the other.

  • Multiple threads access the same method.

    Hello,
    I have been trying for a long time to find out multiple threads access the shared data.
    I have written a sample code, there I my intention is that method has to be accessed
    onlny one thread at a time., mean one thread finished the job, then next thread can
    access the shared source. But for this code I am not getting the desired out put what I want. But if I am using synchronized block I am getting the output. Please correct where I got mistake. Please see my code.
    public class TestThread implements Runnable {
         Shared r;
         public TestThread() {
              r = new Shared();

              Thread t1 = new Thread(new TestThread());
              Thread t2 = new Thread(new TestThread());
              t1.setName("A");

         public void run() {
              // TODO Auto-generated method stub
              r.count();
    class Shared {
         public synchronized void count() {
              String name = Thread.currentThread().getName();
              System.out.println(name + ":accessed...");
              try {
                   for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++) {
                        System.out.println(name + ": " + i);
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   // TODO: handle exception
    }Thanks
    Bhanu lakshmi.

    It depends on what you synchronize. Non-static methods synchronize on the object, so if you're using several objects, you'll be able to call each from their own thread.
    Make your method synchronized or use only a single object and see the difference.

  • Can multiple PCs access one remote panel at the same time?

    I've written a program in labview 7.1 to monitor/control a labview application running in the test cell through Remote Panel. I and my coworker can remotely monitor and/or control this labview application individually. But if my coworker has the remote panel displayed on his PC and I try to get the remote panel on my PC, I get a labview error (63) as below:
    "LabVIEW:  Serial port receive buffer overflow.
    LabVIEW:  The network connection was refused by the server."
    My question is: Can multiple PCs access one remote panel at the same time?
    Thanks in advance!
    Y

    Sorry I wasn't clear. The remote panel license is separate from the number of LabVIEW development licenses. Pricing information on remote panel licenses can be found here.

  • ARCA Xtra  - multiple user access to SQLite DB

    Hi Guys,
    I have having trouble with multiple users accessing a SQLite DB file from a projector. They can all open and browse the data through the projector fine, but if USER1 makes a change and clicks save, and then USER2 tries access the DB it causes USER2 to get a script error.
    Is it possible to write a script which tells the user that the DB is being modified so please wait, rather than throwing them out of the projector with a script error
    Thankyou

    If you want multiple users to access a database then you would probably be better off using one designed for that purpose like MySQL.
    But, if you are set on SQLite and if you can have multiple simultaneous connections which you seem to imply you can, then the best solution I can think of is to create a Class/Script that handles all the details of polling the database for availability and handles other issues like a progress dialogue box.
    You have to treat the database as an asynchronous action - meaning you send it a query and at some latter time it sends a result back via a callback. Doing it this way greatly simplifies any database queries you want to make. As long as your queries are fairly simple like SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, etc. then the code is fairly straight forward.
    Off the top of my head I wrote something to get you started. I have not tested this code but it does compile. The following is a Parent script that you would use to interface to your database in an asynchronous manner.
    -- Asynchronus SQLite
    property  pDB  -- instance of Arca xtra
    property  pTimeoutTime  -- how long in milliseconds to ping database
    property  pPingTime  -- time between database pings.
    property  RunningQuery  -- Boolean. is a query running? true/false
    property  pTimeOb  -- timout object for polling the database
    property  pCurOperation  -- set of data for current query
    property  pPingCount  -- how many times the current query has pinged the database
    property  pAlertBox  -- a MIAW, LDM, or a Sprite that informs the user as to the progress of the query.
    on new me
      arcaregister([0000,000,0000])
      pDB = xtra("arca").new()
      Result = pDB.openDB(the moviepath & "ST_data")
      if Result.errorMsg then
        alert("Error Opening Database" & return & pDB.explainError(Result.errorMsg))
        return void
      end if
      pTimeoutTime  = 10000
      pPingTime  = 250
      RunningQuery = false
      pAlertBox = Sprite(1000)  -- for example
      return me
    end new
    on cleanup me
      pDB.closeDB()
    end cleanup
    on executeSQL me, Query, CallbackOb, CallbackMethod, OptionalParameters
      if RunningQuery then exit -- only allow one query at a time
      RunningQuery = True
      pCurOperation = [#Query:Query, #OptionalParameters:OptionalParameters, #CallbackOb:CallbackOb, #CallbackMethod:CallbackMethod]
      pPingCount = 0
      pTimeOb = timeout().new("QueryProcessor_"&me, 1, me, #processQuery)  -- creating the timeout object here breaks the call stack, which is good.
    end executeSQL
    on processQuery me, TimeOb
      Result = pDB.executeSQL(pCurOperation.Query, pCurOperation.OptionalParameters)
      if Result.errorMsg then
        if Result.errorMsg = 5 then -- database is currently locked
          pPingCount = pPingCount + 1
          if pPingCount = 1 then  -- then inform user there will be a delay.
            pAlertBox.setMessage("Waiting for database response.")
            pAlertBox.setProgress(0)
            pAlertBox.show()
            pTimeOb.period = pPingTime
            exit
          end if
          pAlertBox.setProgress((pPingCount * pPingTime / pTimeoutTime) * 100 )
          if pPingCount * pPingTime = pTimeoutTime then -- timed out
            alert("Query Timed out.")
          else
            exit  -- try again in pPingTime time.
          end if
        else  -- there is some sort of database error
          alert("Database Error: " & return & pDB.explainError(Result.errorMsg))
        end if
      else  -- no query errors
        call(pCurOperation.CallbackMethod, pCurOperation.CallbackOb, Result)
      end if
      -- if the code makes it this far then we are done and need to clean things up
      if pTimeOb. objectP then
        pTimeOb.forget()
        pTimeOb = void
      end if
      pAlertBox.hide()
      RunningQuery = false
    end processQuery
    on setTimeOutTime me, MilliSecs
      pTimeoutTime = MilliSecs
    end setTimeOutTime
    on setPingTime me, MilliSecs
      pPingTime  = MilliSecs
    end setPingTime
    You then create an instance of this script on preparemovie.
    -- Movie script
    global gDB
    on prepareMovie
      gDB = script("Asynchronus SQLite").new()
      if gDB.voidP then halt -- can not connect to the database
    end
    on stopMovie
      gDB.cleanup()
    end
    Then it is simply a matter of sending your queries to the gDB object and it will send the results back to the callback handler and object that you specify. Here's a behavior that shows how simple this should be:
    -- Sample DB Behavior
    global gDB
    on mouseUp me
      Query = "select * from users"
      gDB.executeSQL(Query, me, #setQueryResult) -- string, callback object, callback handler name
    end
    on setQueryResult me, Result  -- this is the callback handler/method
      put Result
    end
    I also suggest using a MIAW or a LDM or a set of sprites as a way to inform the user of any delays in processing a query. Check the code for pAlertBox to see how I use this idea to update a progress bar. Of course you will have to create the implementation.

  • Multiple User access in ATP

    I am designing custom ATP for our client. Actually, this logic accesses batch classification data and the calculation logic also differs.
    The concern that I have is if one user (say A) creates a sales order item and runs a successful Availability check and goes on to create second sales order item. simultaneously if another user (say B) comes to create new sales order item for same material. now the ATP quantity that second user gets should be less than the quantity confirmed by user A. But both the sales order have not been saved. so how do I block the quantities confirmed by A but yet not saved.
    Is there any special method for multiple user access at runtime.

    Thanks for ur reply. it was really helpful to gain more insights in my issue.
    1. For performance-related reasons, the only time when it makes sense to set the material block with quantity transfer is when it is common for several users to work on the same material simultaneously. And in VA01 there are many parallel Sales order creation
    2.You create a sales order for a material. During the availability check, this material is blocked. After the availability check is completed, the block is removed. The quantity reserved for this transaction is recorded in the blocking table. This information can be assessed by all others who are working with this material. If you save the order, the blocked entries are cancelled. this how Material block with quantity transfer in SD works.
    The concern that I have now is how to get Blocking Tables for transaction VA01.

  • Managing Multiple threads accessing  a single instance of a class

    Hi,
    i have to redesign a class, say X, in such a way that i manage multiple threads accessing a single instance of the class, we cannot create multiple instances of X. The class looks like this:
    Class X{
    boolean isACalled=false;
    boolean isInitCalled=false;
    boolean isBCalled=false;
    A(){
    isACalled=true;
    Init(){
    if(!isACalled)
    A();
    B();
    C();
    isInitCalled=true;
    B(){
    if(!isACalled)
    A();
    isBCalled=true;
    C(){
    if(!isACalled)
    A();
    if(!isBCalled)
    B();
    }//end of class
    Init is the method that would be invoked on the single instance of this class.
    Now i cannot keep the flags as instance variables coz different threads would have differrent status of these flags at the same time, hence i can make them local, but if i make them local to one method, the others won't be able to check their status, so the only solution i can think of is to place all the flags in a hashtable local to method INIT AND INITIALIZE ALL OF them to false, as init would call other methods, it would pass the hashtable reference as an additional parameter, the methods would set the flags in the hashtable and it would be reflectecd in the original hashtable, and so all the methods can have access to the hashtable of flags and can perform their respective checks and setting of flags.
    This all would be local to one thread, so there's no question of flags of one thread mixin with the flags of some other thread.
    My question is :
    Is this the best way, would this work?
    In java, everything is pass by value, but if i pass the hashtable reference, would the changes made inside the called method to the hashtable key-value would be visible in the original hashtable declared inside the calling method of which the hashtable is local variable?

    In Java object variables are passed "by copy of reference", and primitive variables "by value".
    The solution with HashMap/Hashtable you suggest is ok, but I think you should read about ThreadLocal class:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/ThreadLocal.html

  • Multiple users accessing the same data in a global temp table

    I have a global temp table (GTT) defined with 'on commit preserve rows'. This table is accessed via a web page using ASP.NET. The application was designed so that every one that accessed the web page could only see their data in the GTT.
    We have just realized that the GTT doesn't appear to be empty as new web users use the application. I believe it has something to do with how ASP is connecting to the database. I only see one entry in the V$SESSION view even when multiple users are using the web page. I believe this single V$SESSION entry is causing only one GTT to be available at a time. Each user is inserting into / selecting out of the same GTT and their results are wrong.
    I'm the back end Oracle developer at this place and I'm having difficulty translating this issue to the front end ASP team. When this web page is accessed, I need it to start a new session, not reuse an existing session. I want to keep the same connection, but just start a new session... Now I'm losing it.. Like I said, I'm the back end guy and all this web/connection/pooling front end stuff is magic to me.
    The GTT isn't going to work unless we get new sessions. How do we do this?
    Thanks!

    Thanks!You may want to try changing your GTT to 'ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS' and have the .Net app use a transaction object.

    Is it possible for other users to access an app that was purchased from another Apple ID. If one purchases an app, does the machine allow access to all the users?

  • What happens when multiple users access the same servlet?

    Do the users share all the same resources? Or is a new process generated for each user? I have a servlet that builds a string to return to the user and I only have myself to test, so I can't really see what happens when many users access the servlet. Is there a possibility that the string will get screwed up, like when dealing with multiple threads, or do all the users get their own resources and I don't have to worry about that?

    huh? if you can point a test servlet at it, you can point a browser at it (even if the servlet does not serve html it will run)
    try pasting the servlet URL into a web browser
    refreshing multiple browsers repeatedly could provide a manual test

    How do i achieve this case: user1->1, user2->2, user3->3 ??
    Any help would be great.

    I have a related question. i created 2 websites/domains then i went to users and created 2 seperate "network" users then i went to ftp and selected each website and added only user A to site A and user B to site B. what's weird is that when i try to ftp using either of the users it seems to land on the same site. i looked at shared security for the folders and it only shows user a on site a folder and user b on site b folders. am i doing somehitng wrong or is this how it works in mountain lion server? i just want to give the domain owner ftp access so they can manage their files and only thier files. i also had to turn on open directory so that it would not create a local user but a network user. do i need to turn that off and just deal with having a bunch of local users as ftp user? i want to host multiple websites on the server and NO users remote on to server besides ftp.
    edit 1: i only have 1 IP running on the server which i don't think it has any affect on this but thought i mention it :-)
    edit 2: i just noticed one more thing that may help. i used filezilla to remote in using both users, one at a time. it seems to allow both users in but then it shows same directories. i then created a file using the one that was not supposed to have acces and it never sows up. but if i remote desktop to server i can see the new file in the correct folder. so it may have something to d o with the directory listing.

  • Multiple users accessing XML Parser

    We are working through chapter 5 of the book

    We have installed the xmlparsr.jar and xmlplsql.jar then we ran load.sql as the user xmlbook.
    When I log in as xmlbook and go thought the example to insert an xml document and then run CheckXMLInClob it works great.

    ORA-20100: Error occurred while parsing: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    When they grant select on xml_documents to xmlbook. The procedure works fine.
    My questions are
    1. Why does xmlbook need select on userx.xml_documents when the clob is select into a variable before any call is made to xmldom.parser inside CheckXMLInClob?
    2. Is there a way to share access to the xmlparser routines with out having xmlbook have select to every table?

  • Multiple users accessing entity bean with same PK

    Hi,
    Some body please clarify the below issue.
    (EJB 1.1, WAS3.5)
    I have two app servers and two clones each clone is running in each app server.
    Stateful session bean access Entity beans to update/read record in the database.
    According to my requirement multiple users can access the same entity data (same primary key). Suppose user A created a Stateful session bean SB1 and the SB1 created Entity1 with PK1, this is happening at clone1.
    User B accessed the site and the request went to Clone2 and a new SB2 created, but the SB2 need to access the database with Same PK1.
    For the above situation, I guess container can not create a new Entity bean with PK1 because EB with PK1 is already there and it tries to allocate same EB1 with SB2, so if two requests are concurrent do the SB2 wait to get the handle of the EB1?
    Is there any way to create two Entity beans with same Primary Key at the same time but in different clone?
    Thanks,
    Sagar

    The concurrency level has to be set at the level of database and the database will take care of consistency & integrity of the data. So specity the concurrency level on the database connection in each appserver.

  • Multiple iTunes accessing the same songs on local network??

    Hello all,
    I have imported all of our CD's into itunes on my computer. I would like for my wife and children to be able to access these songs and create their own playlists on their own computers from these songs. The kids have Windows Vista, and my wife, like I has an iMac.
    Is this possible?? If so are there any copywrite issues??
    Thanks in advance

    Yes, there is a way to share music across accounts on a Mac. First, you have to enable multiple logins (the Apple support person helped me with this).
    Then each person has to allow sharing in their itunes applications.
    Then, for one person to see and use another's music, that person has to be logged in and itunes has to be running in their instance, even though that instance is not active.
    Good luck.
