UCCX Agent-CTI integration

Hi,
I have a partner working within the public sector space that would like to extend their agent CTI integration from CCE (Using CTI Toolkit) to the CCX product. A couple of questions;
1- Where do I find the SDK or other information to get them started?
2- For licensing, even though they may not actually be using CAD do we still use the standard licensing mechanism?
3- Are there any similar examples of CTI integration specifically with CCX?

So I've now found the CCX CTI developer guides here;
http://developer.cisco.com/web/uccxcti
That still leaves items 2 & 3 anyone?
Perhaps one of the BU team can comment on Jonathan's CAD comment?
My personal observation is that whilst we [Cisco] may want to migrate customers away from CAD (as this is a 3rd party agreement with Collabrio) the Finesse desktop is still very early in it's life and doesn't support all the features of CAD yet. As a result a lot of customers will continue choosing CAD while that's the case.

  • EWS Protocol Support for Agent Email Integration on upcoming UCCX Versions

    Hi Everyone,
One of my customer wants to know, In the upcoming versions of UCCX, whether the EWS(Exchange Web Service) protocol is supported for Agent Email Integration or not?
I have done some inital findings for the current versions & it supports only IMAPv4 (for message retrieval) and SMTP protocols (for message sending).
    Thanks,

    Hi,
the way I would do it: Remedy would ask UCCX to place the agent into a specific Not Ready state (this prevents incoming calls) and then transfer a task to an agent. When the task is solved, Remedy would check for the number of calls waiting in UCCX and would leave the agent in Not Ready (and ultimately assign another task), or would change the agent state to Available.
If you want interruptible Remedy tasks (the agent is Available all along and when a call is transferred to him, the Remedy task automatically pauses) - I am afraid this is not possible.
About programmatic access to UCCX: if you have never heard about it, it's not easy - you might want to talk to a consultant.

  • AMC technology software cti integration with CCM

       Hi,
Would like to know the following,
       1) Have an agent when call local calls and mobile numbers from a Cisco ip phone, able to get through but if uses the AMC technology software unable to get through the numbers
       2) Have another agent when call local calls and mobile numbers from a Cisco ip phone able to get through but uses the AMC technology software only able to get through by the area code with the number.
       3) Can confirmed that calling search space are working fine
        4) Any documenation in Cisco or AMC on troubleshooting issues ?
    Thanks
    Alan

    Dear Alan,
Based on your above request it seems like you are using TAPI Integration, if not, Please do specify the CTI Integration configured in AMC Technology software.
In case of TAPI integration you should be able to find the log "CTITAPIModule.log" on AMC Technology MCIS Server Box that would provide the detailed TAPI messages, with the exact number dialed and the error messages if any. This should be a good starting point for trouble shooting.

  • Can't move UCCX agent to another extension

I have a UCCX 7 system integrated with UCM 7.1.3.  I'm trying to move a UCCX agent from one extension to another extension.  Both of the phones are associated with the RM application user, and with the agent's end user entry.  I originally had the agent configured for extension 3606 and they were able to log into Cisco Agent Desktop.  I changed the IPCC extension value in their end user entry to extension 3607, and then had the agent try to log in at that station.  CAD gave the error that the extension was not associated with their userid.
Do I need to restart some service to get this change to take effect?

  • Direct CTI Integration with Oracle Contact Center Form

    Hi,
We are on 11.5.10.2 and we are trying to implement the "Direct CTI Integration" solution that Oracle suggested to enable Screen Pop in contact center form based on data coming from a third party CTI. In our case we are using Genesys TServers for CTI.
In this document (The equivalent R12 document is on metalink titled DIRECT CTI Integration - Oracle EBS Contact Center & Third Party CTI [ID 734902.1]), Oracle solution involves little to no coding from the Oracle Apps side other than a few profile setups. We are not able to get started on this because we did not find some of the profile options. And the forms did not have the changes that Oracle said it should have. Obviously, we need to apply some patches but not sure which one.
I am wondering if there are any users and customer who have implemented a similar solution that can help us get started.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Venkat

It has been a while since we did a test of the Direct CTI integration at my company. We are on a 12 release so the patches are included, unfortunately I can't help there.
Word from the Wise: Be Prepared....
The only development on the Oracle side that was necessary was the configuration of the profile settings. You select a port in the settings which will then instantiate an http listener on the user's thin client.
The development on the CTI side is intensive....you must code an http listener on your client CTI to enable two way communication between the Oracle thin client and your 3rd party CTI client (most likely residing on the desktop of the user PC, in my case, Cisco CTIOS).
Unless Oracle has since changed their model, you cannot just send a blind screen pop to the Oracle client due to the required 2 way communication. There are a lot of request/response's involved (registers, readys, etc). While it is absolutely necessary for an HTTP listener to exist on the Oracle side, I believe that it is unnecessary to have the level of communication required from the 3rd party CTI. The CTI needs the call control, I just don't believe that Oracle needs to know about it.
If I have incorrectly interpreted or understood the model/options, I hope someone can correct me.
    Thanks,
    Derek

  • IC clients and CTI integration

guys, I am new to CRM and need some clarification on the web/Win IC clients and the CTI integration. My questions are as follows:
    1) Do I have to have a java stack of the CRM sytem to use the Web IC client ?
    2) Is it possible to use the Web IC client in a ECC system ? If so, how ?
    3) What really is win client ? How is it different from using CIC0 tcode ? Can Win IC client be used in a ECC system or is it only used in conjuction with a CRM system ?
    4) Is the ICI inferface only for CRM and sapphone is only for ECC ?
    5) If we need to connect a CTI system like cisco PBX to a CRM system for incoming and outbound calling, would we connect it to the ABAP stack or java stack ?
    Please advise. thanks

    Hi,
    2) Is it possible to use the Web IC client in a ECC system ? If so, how ?
No. The new interface WebUI is only for CRM.
    3) What really is win client ? How is it different from using CIC0 tcode ? Can Win IC client be used in a ECC system or is it only used in conjuction with a CRM system ?
CIC0(CRM) and win client is almost the same thing. CIC0 is a CRM transaction used in winclient. Win client is a old version for IC and SAP advice to use only WebUI.
    4) Is the ICI inferface only for CRM and sapphone is only for ECC ?
Both are netweaver components and can be used in ECC and CRM.

  • UCCX Agent Desktop v.7 taking over Windows active session when phone rings

I'm trying to figure out how (if possible) for the Cisco UCCX Agent Desktop application from taking over a users Windows session every time the phone rings.  This is very annoying and takes the end user out of what ever application they are currently in whenever their phone rings.  Does anyone know how to change this?

  • UCCX Agent ready state softkey

I was under the understanding that UCCX agents could also sign into the ready state through they're assigned phones ? So far in my reading of documents and such I have yet to see any bit of information for setting up agents without CAD. In many of our situations we would like the agents just to be able to sign into the phone adding them to the rotation for incoming calls.
Does anyone know if this is possible and if so is there a reference in some document outlining it ?
    Thank you.

Are you looking to log in agents without using the agent desktop? Check out IPPA (IP Phone Agent). This is a IP Phone service that you assign to the agent phone in call manager.
Set up the agent as normal, then add this service to the phone in call manager:
    http://x.x.x.x:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentInitial.jsp
where x.x.x.x is the ip of your UCCX server.

  • UCCX Agent with Unified Mobility

    Hi all,
We have UCCX 8.5 and CUCM 8.6
    Maybe somebody knows.
    Can we make next:
Incomnig call to UCCX ---> UCCX Script--->CAD and Agent IP Phone
But we woud like configure Unified Mobility feature and use this feature with UCCX agents phone.
There is moment when agent leavs his workplace, and we want forward incoming calls UCCX to agents mobile phone.
I would be very grateful for the helpful advice.
    Perhaps there are other solutions

I have just configured Mobile Connect on a ACD line and tested it and it seems to work fine The Agent phone rings then if not answered the mobile rings, the call is answered. Call is seen on the Agent phone aswell and in CAD and the call gets included in the Agent call stats.
I know it's not supported, but what issues should I expect to see?
    Thanks,

  • C4C CTI Integration.

    Hi,
CTI integration in Cloud for Customer is available in Service on Demand. I was wondering if we can activate CTI in Sales scenario. We have a requirement where, our customer uses CTI, but not Interaction center. So, he wont need the service scenario. I know this is kind of not so standard, but is there a way we can activate in Sales on demand?
    Regards
    Shiva

    Hi Shiva,
There is no direct phone call to lead creation available in the Live Activity pane within Cloud for Customer (i.e. via CTI). However, if you have both the sales and the service licenses, you can implement CTI and then from phone calls create tickets which can be converted to leads.
With the latest release, you also have the option (via Language Adaptations on the Administrator screen) of relabeling tickets as something else...say for example call them "inquiries." An inquiry could be a service request but it could also just be an inquiry like, "Please send me a price quote on product X."
    Kind regards,

  • Interesting Client Concern: UCCX Agent Tricks

I had a client ask us to compile a list of tricks UCCX agents use to get around meeting job requirements. Other than not transferring calls to post-call surveys I couldn't think of any. So does anyone know of things agents can do with UCCX that may be considered tricks/work-arounds to "beat the system"?
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi,
well, Tanner has a point, it must be solved processwise.
The company I used to work for had a customer with a large UCCE contact center and they asked for a report that would show this kind of suspicious activity. UCCE has actually a way to mark these calls, unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no such thing in UCCX. The rule was simple: you can be caught only once doing that.

  • Need Information about CTI Integration

    Hi,
I am new to CTI. I am doing a feasibility study to  integrate our Contact  Centers with our existing Peoplesoft CRM product  so that Agents can take calls through Peoplesoft. I believe that we   need a CTI middleware, CTI Server and a Adapter/Connector to integrate   the Telephony/PBX with Peoplesoft CRM.
Does Cisco provide any CTI middleware/CTI Server product to  achieve my  goal. Can someone also provide me an approximate cost for  the same. I am  planning to start integrating a small Call center of 30  agents with  Peoplesoft CRM. Based on the Implementation feedback I can  think about  integrating other Call centers.
I would be grateful if someone can provide me with the necessary information

  • UCCX and Salesforce Integration

    Hello,
I have a client that we recently completed a small UCCX 8.5 Premium deployment for. As part of the deployment we completed a CAD integration with Salesforce.com in order to provide a screen pop of the associated customer account using the ANI from the caller (document attached – though there were some changes along the way in order to conform to the current version of Salesforce and UCCX).
Now the customer is interested in scraping data from Salesforce.com in order to route calls to the right agents. The integration we have completed to Salesforce for CAD does not help us to do this, specifically because the account screen pop the agent gets, is provided as part of a workflow, taking place AFTER the agent is selected. In order to do what the customer is asking, we will need to hit the Salseforce database earlier and somehow populate variables that will allow us to route the call appropriately.
I know that once upon a time we could use the Cisco Unified CallConnector for Salesforce.com in order to provide a more enhanced integration to Salesforce but that is now End of Life (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6789/ps7046/ps7274/ps7292/end_of_life_notice_c51-679419.pdf). I know that there are 3rd party connectors (http://www.amctechnology.com/solutions/Cisco_solution.html) but of course those require licensing.
So now that you have the context, here is the question:
I am looking for a recommendation on how to provide the functionality that the customer is looking for.
Option 1: Complete a DB integration to Salesforce directly from UCCX and scrape the data from the Salesforce DB in order to route the call appropriately. If this is possible, I am looking for any sort of documentation on how to accomplish this.
Option 2: Use a 3rd party connector to accomplish the DB integration and pull the data out of the DB in order to route calls appropriately.  I have a call into the 3rd party vendor to confirm if we will get this functionality out of the connector, in combination with scripting from the UCCX side, but if anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear the details.
    Thank you,
    Casey Nordendale

    Hi,
Referring to the UCCX 8.5 datasheet,
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/custcosw/ps5693/ps1846/data_sheet_c78-629807.html
Cisco Unified Contact Center Express Premium  allows you to apply HTTP integration to provide integration and a screen  pop with browser-based applications such as Salesforce.com running in  the Cisco Agent Desktop embedded browser.
Also refer the section "Figure 1.Cisco Agent Desktop with Integrated Multitabbed Browser (Premium)" in the below link,

An example is also provided in the below link,

  • UCCX agent stuck in Not Ready status

    Hi             There
We are using uccx 7 and 1 agent's status stuck in the "Not Ready".
We can not see his account in the supervisor but in the "Resource Cisco Unified Contact Center Express Stats" I can see his status is in Not Ready for more than 44 hours.
Is there any way we can clear the session?
    Thank you in advance.

Do you think there is an agent logged in and Not Ready, or do you think it's a hung session?
If you think it's a real login, reboot the PC.
If you think it's a hung session then you'll have to restart a service of two. I would just plan for a maintenance window and reboot the server along with your CUCM CTI Manager.
    Good luck and happy troubleshooting!

  • UCCX 10.5 integration with SalesForce CRM

    Hi,
I need some help on integrating UCCX 10.5 with salesforce crm (Cloud hosted).
The requirement is when call comes in on Agent desktop the call related information on basis of phone number should pop up on agent desktop from CRM.
Do we need any API for this integration or we can achieve this with the help of macros/events available on Agent Desktop (CAD/finesse)
    Regards,
    Dinesh Joshi

Effectively the answer is no, partially because of how SFDC works and partially because the keyboard macro you reference will soon be lost with the transition from CAD to Finesse.
In the case of SFDC, the HTTP workflow isn't possible without some help. The workflow only allows us to send a URL, such as https://salesforce.example/page?account=<enterpriseData> where <enterpriseData> is some value we collected during IVR treatment such as an account number. In reality, SFDC doesn't construct URLs in that way and use GUIDs in the URL. For the HTTP workflow to work something needs to figure out what the URL/GUID is for a particular record you want to pop. This can either happen within the IVR script via an off-box web service to interface with the SFDC API or a custom Java class. Either way, what it does is get the full URL for what should be popped send that through to the agent desktop for the HTTP workflow action to pop.
The server-side integration has the advantage of being able to either validate data against SFDC and/or impact the call routing/options. An example would be checking account number input from a caller for validity, having an active service contract, and seeing if they are a Top 50 customer for priority treatment. If you don't need server-side intelligence then you can leverage a 3rd-party Finesse-based product, such as the Bucher+Suter product (others may be available in the Cisco Marketplace), to do the integration.
As for the keyboard macro: this is fairly unreliable, especially with web browsers, and was targeted for older terminal emulation-type apps. Regardless, it will soon not be available due to the transition from CAD to Finesse which is only capable of HTTP workflows, and not keyboard macros, IPC calls, external application action, etc.
