Can anybody tell me what conditions would cause this error?

well yes:
panel.addGLEventListener(new GLR());
"GLR" implements "GLEventListener" and defines the required methods
I installed the Netbeans OpenGL Pack on NetBeans 6.5 and there is a problem with that...mh :(
Ok I also tried to create a GLPanel-Sample-Project and modify it but netbeans don't know "javax.swing.GroupLayout;" I installed the JDK as well.
mh what can i do: try to fix my actual error or try to get GroupLayout in java.swing^^

    Execution of the external process returns an error code value of '1'.Not sure where went wrong. Already followed many suggestions are already there in different sites. But, so far no luck.
    Is there any path I need to add in CLASSPATH other than what I have?
    Also, check few oracle docs regarding the same. But, nothing can eliminate this problem.
    Can you please suggest?

  • Cannot convert type class java.lang.String to class oracle.jbo.domain.Clob

    Cannot convert type class java.lang.String to class oracle.jbo.domain.ClobDomain.
    Using ADF Business Components I have a JSFF page fragment with an ADF form based on a table with has a column of type CLOB. The data is retrieved from the database and displayed correctly but when any field is changed and submitted the above error occurs. I have just used the drag and drop technique to create the ADF form with a submit button, am I missing a step?
    I am using the production release of Jdeveloper11G

    Reproduced and filed bug# 7487124
    The workaround is to add a custom converter class to your ViewController project like this
    package oow2008.view;
    import javax.faces.application.FacesMessage;
    import javax.faces.component.UIComponent;
    import javax.faces.context.FacesContext;
    import javax.faces.convert.Converter;
    import javax.faces.convert.ConverterException;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.ClobDomain;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.DataCreationException;
    public class ClobConverter implements Converter {
         public Object getAsObject(FacesContext facesContext,
                                   UIComponent uIComponent,
                                   String string) {
           try {
             return string != null ? new ClobDomain(string) : null;
           } catch (DataCreationException dce) {
             dce.setAppendCodes(false);
             FacesMessage fm =
               new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR,
                                "Invalid Clob Value",
                                dce.getMessage());
             throw new ConverterException(fm);
         public String getAsString(FacesContext facesContext,
                                   UIComponent uIComponent,
                                   Object object) {
           return object != null ?
                  object.toString() :
                  null;
    }then to register the converter in faces-config.xml like this
    <faces-config version="1.2" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee">
      <application>
        <default-render-kit-id>oracle.adf.rich</default-render-kit-id>
      </application>
      <converter>
        <converter-id>clobConverter</converter-id>
        <converter-class>oow2008.view.ClobConverter</converter-class>
      </converter>
    </faces-config>then reference this converter in the field for the ClobDomain value like this
              <af:inputText value="#{bindings.Description.inputValue}"
                            label="#{bindings.Description.hints.label}"
                            required="#{bindings.Description.hints.mandatory}"
                            columns="40"
                            maximumLength="#{bindings.Description.hints.precision}"
                            shortDesc="#{bindings.Description.hints.tooltip}"
                            wrap="soft" rows="10">
                <f:validator binding="#{bindings.Description.validator}"/>
                <f:converter converterId="clobConverter"/>
              </af:inputText>

  • Cannot convert ÿØÿà of type class java.lang.String to class BFileDomain.

    Hi All,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have a scenario of making an ADF page where I have a IMAGE field to show on the page. So,I have a table called "PRODUCT" with fields called photo with BFILE type. Now when I the data i have inserted using the DML command and i can see the path at the backend.
    However,when i am runnig my ADF page in the Filed called "PHOTO" I can only see a junk character stating 'yoyo'.
    When I click on it, it says ERROR "Cannot convert ÿØÿà of type class java.lang.String to class oracle.jbo.domain.BFileDomain".
    Your help will be appreciated ASAP.
    Regards,
    Shahnawaz

    Hi,
    did you show the id-value in the user interface as a input-component, and did the input-component include a converter?
    If yes, show the id as output-text and remove any existing converter-components.
    Best Regards

  • Incompatible types - found java.lang.String but expected int

    This is an extremely small simple program but i keep getting an "incompatible types - found java.lang.String but expected int" error and dont understand why. Im still pretty new to Java so it might just be something stupid im over looking...
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    public class Lab
    public static void main(String []args)
    int input = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Input Decimal ");
    String bin = Integer.toBinaryString(input);
    String hex = Integer.toHexString(input);
    System.out.println("Decimal= " + input + '\n' + "Binary= " + bin + '\n' + "Hexadecimal " + hex);
    }

    You should always post the full, exact error message.
    Your error message probably says that the error occurred on something like line #10, the JOptionPane line. The error is telling you that the compiler found a String value, but an int value was expected.
    If you go to the API docs for JOptionPane, it will tell you what value type is returned for showInputDialog(). The value type is String. But you are trying to assign that value to an int. You can't do that.
    You will need to assign the showInputDialog() value to a String variable. Then use Integer.parseInt(the_string) to convert to an int value.

    Check your java.security file
    probably in your line to set parameter login.config.url.1=files:c:/yourpath/xxx.conf you removed the "files" protocol to indicate the path.
    example
    login.config.url.1=c:/yourpath/xxx.conf
    with this you get the error
    "java.lang.SecurityException: unknown protocol: c".

  • Exception when querying java.lang.InetAddress

    Hi,
    When attempting to query an object based on its ipaddress, I ran into the following problem:

    My query:
    ("select i from Interface i where i.testAddress = addr").setParameter("addr", InetAddress.getLocalHost())
    I have tried this using Inet4Address in the hope that Kodo was having some issues with polymorphism but the same problem occurs.
    The mapping is defined as follows:
    @Basic
    public InetAddress getTestAddress ()
    return _test;
    public void setTestAddress (InetAddress test)
    _test = test;
    I have tried using @Lob but this made no difference. Is it possible to create queries based on a LOB?

  • Uncaught exception: Static initializer: java/lang/SecurityException

    So i'm trying to compile some code of a small game for Doja.
    The code compiles fine but when i load it in the emulator i get the following eror:
    Uncaught exception java/lang/Error: Static initializer: java/lang/SecurityException.
    Now i haven't seen that before. I looked into it and first i thought there must be some static initializer block in some class but there isn't.
    Now i'm kinda stumped. What else can be the problem?

    A security exception is usually thrown when you try to use some function of the API that you're not allowed to use.
    For example, if the user has not given your application permission to connect to the internet, but you try to do so.
    Sometimes this error can be resolved by turning on the appropriate option in the ADF file.
    Cheers,
    Sam

    Thanks for the answer, the problem is that for the first times that launch the application works in correct way in fact I see opened mine report to video, then stops to work and generates that error.

    This error says:

    Delete the Classpath environmental variables. Go to the directory where your .class file is. Enter "java YourClassName" Do not put .class or .java at the end - just put in the class name. Use the same upper/lower case characters that your class name uses in the .java file. If you need more help, post the 'exact' error message and the 'exact' command you are using.

    This is the response I got from support:
    This is bug 22205 and will be fixed in the release of the Exchange Groupware Portlet Suite 3.0.4 at the end of April. The workaround in the interim is to copy the D:\Program Files\plumtree\jre folder from the installation CD (or another working portal server) onto the problem server. Please let me know if this resolves the issue for you. Neal Rapoporthttp://www.portalconsultant.com
