Hi All,

Could you please let me know the root cause of this error?
Thank you.
Regards,
VenkateshI would double- and triple-check that. A null classname string is almost certainly the cause here.

Can anybody tell me what conditions would cause this error?well yes:
panel.addGLEventListener(new GLR());
"GLR" implements "GLEventListener" and defines the required methods
I installed the Netbeans OpenGL Pack on NetBeans 6.5 and there is a problem with that...mh :(
Ok I also tried to create a GLPanel-Sample-Project and modify it but netbeans don't know "javax.swing.GroupLayout;" I installed the JDK as well.
mh what can i do: try to fix my actual error or try to get GroupLayout in java.swing^^ -

thanks,
Anees.Check your java.security file
probably in your line to set parameter login.config.url.1=files:c:/yourpath/xxx.conf you removed the "files" protocol to indicate the path.
example
login.config.url.1=c:/yourpath/xxx.conf
with this you get the error
"java.lang.SecurityException: unknown protocol: c".
Regards,
Alexandre Gonzalez -
Thanks for the answer, the problem is that for the first times that launch the application works in correct way in fact I see opened mine report to video, then stops to work and generates that error.
This error says:
- There is no method called "parseFloat" that receives a String as parameter in class java.lang.Float.
Look the method "parseFloat" at the class java.lang.Float!! -
Java.lang.NullPointerException in checkTransaction method
EJB2.1 / weblogic 10.3
I get en nullpointerexception in a weblogic generated class.
The method in the generated class is :

return;
else if ((tx == null) && (__WL_createTxId != null))

Loggable l1 = EJBLogger.logaccessedCmrCollectionInDifferentTransactionLoggable("CustomOffice", "officehours");
throw new IllegalStateException(l1.getMessage());
I get the nullpointer at the line
else if (!tx.getXid().equals(__WL_createTxId) && ! true ) {
I have an EntityBean named CustomOffice, this bean has a collection of Officehours entitybeans.
When I call ( from a SessionBean with @ejb.transaction type="Supports" )
Iterator iter = customOfficeLocal.getOfficehours().iterator();
I get the NullPointeException when not using an transaction, when using a transaction it works.
But I would llike to call this witout an transaction.The method checkTransaction is in a weblogic generated class.

in my code.
I guess it is because I am using a EJB 2.1 entitybean.... that needs a transaction ?????? -
Exception data: java.lang.AbstractMethodError - Calling Remote Method.
We recently changed some of our CMP fields from primative int's to integer's and now we are receiving Abstract Method Errors at runtime. We have fixed all the methods that use this CMP fields, well at least we think we got them all. Since this are remote methods the sever is setup to pull JAR files from a lib directory on the server. This JAR files have also been updated. Can anyone give me more information about this error or something I might be missing.

ChrisI am pretty sure. I am using RAD locally so I have deleted all the generated AccessBean and Deployment code and rerun the deploy. My concern is that these remote methods are using an external JAR file which is loaded when the server is started. I have updated this JAR files, but I am not sure if maybe they are being cached some where.

Calling multiple DLL from Java and calling same native method
i have two dll files named DLL_1.dll and DLL_2.dll .
Both of them contain a native method which has a signature
JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_Database_Notify

This method is common to both the DLL
Now i load both of the DLL's using,
System.loadLibrary("DLL_1");
System.loadLibrary("DLL_2");
Both of the DLL are loaded form same Java Application
But the problem is that , whenever i try to call the Notify Method , it calls the Notify method of DLL_1 only.
How do i call the Notify Methos of second DLL(i.e DLL_2).
Is there any reference that i can get to all the DLL files when i load then , so that i can use that reference to invoke the Notify method of that particular DLL.i have two dll files named DLL_1.dll and DLL_2.dll .

As per the description above it is impossible in java.
And I didn't say JNI, I said java.
Your above statement suggests that you think that you can have exactly the same java signature do two different things.
Note again that I said java not JNI.
A JNI method is just a tag that represents a java signature. Your description suggests that you are attempting to do it twice.
There are three possibilities.
1. Your explanation is incomplete.
2. You are trying to do something that is impossible in java.
3. You are trying to solve a problem and your description of your solution is not sufficient to determine what that is (and of course the solution is wrong.) -

* print out the method name.
* print out the methods for the class on which you're trying to invoke the method

I think my LD_LIBRARY_PATH setting is correct. I have been code a pure c library(without ESQL/C code),and it is runing well with Java.
Please tell me why, thanks very much!
Yours AlecYou can verify the settings of the path to your libraries with
System.out.println(System.getProperty("java.library.path"));before you call System.loadLibrary(), so you know if it is correct.
I also found this information (for Solaris):
The shared library file name requires a "lib" prefix and a ".so" extension. Do not include the "lib" prefix or the ".so" extension for the argument that you pass to the System.loadLibrary method.
I don't know if that helps you solving your problem. -

set iterativeDevFlag=false

Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
[Root exception is java.security.AccessControlException: access
denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission getClassLoader )]
Lot of thanks for your help.Check the weblogic.policy file to make sure that it is giving permissions to the right directories. If you have
installed a Service Pack, make sure that both service pack jar files are at the front of their corresponding
classpaths...

Hi there
Running Oracle Enterpride Edition 8.1.7
including Oracle Http webserver
I'm trying to run a JSP application developed with Jdeveloper
through th http server
Think I have modified alle the .conf files correctly
I get the message :
"Error Message: java.lang.RuntimeException: JSP Registry could not locate runtime property file:ORDERS_ORDERS_PKG_ORDERS_PKGModule.properties"
Any ideas ?
Or can anyone point me to a (proper) document that decribes (correctly and completely) alle the steps that need to be done ?
Many Thanxs
Regards TJ
nullI am also experiancing this problem. I have updated the ojsp to version 112200 and the properties file exist within the .jar used by the .jsp file.
