UDF for Country file OCRY

Please could anybody tell me whether it is possible to create a User Defined Field on the Country file OCRY via the menu option 'Manage User Fields'? I cannot find it in the available options.

This is not available via the SAP Business One Manage User Fields option and that object is currently not exposed via the SDK. The property Country is exposed as it is used in the Business Partner Object, but there is not an object itself available for that table.

Hi Experts,
I am working on one scenrio, where i am fetching the file name dynamically by adapter module.
Now, the file name needs to be checked for the following conditions:

DELIVERYNO_AWB.PDF
Depending upon the type of file being picked up by PI from the mail box,following needs to be done:
1.time stamp needs to be added ..
ex..
for file SO10162239_123_458_BOLCOPY.pdf--> the file name must be changed to :
SO10162239_X2100_20101206_123_458_BOLCOPY.pdf.
Please suggest if this can be done by graphical mapping ?

UDF for Reciver file name.

Hi Can any one provide me UDFfor following Requirement.
My source file name is like this XXXX081090001 and i want reciver file name as XXXXMT940.
Where MT940 is constant and XXXX is first 4 digits of Source file name.
Note that First four digits of Source file name can change.
Example :- Source file name ABC081090001 -
Target should be ABCMT940
and if Source file name is XYZ091100002 -
Target should be XYZMT940.

Dynamic configuration for multiple files

Hi All,
I am new to PI. I have a proxy to file scenario, wherein 3 files are to be generated depending upon the value in a field (site ID) on the same receiver. Site ID can only have 3 different vales. All these 3 files are to have a dynamically defined name.
How can I configure this scenario? Is there any way in which all 3 files can have dynamically defined names? Please help.

I am not sure whether my understanding is correct.
As per my understanding
You need to duplicate E1F1SEG segment 4 times as there are 4 conditions
and those nodes need to be enabled or suppressed based on your condition .

Issue with Jar files in UDF for RFC LookUp

Hi,
I am writing a UDF for RFC LookUp.
In the import statement of UDF, I used the JAR File : com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.*;
The code inside the UDF uses LookupService.getChannel.
When I test the UDF, It shows an error ( ^ ) at LookupService.getChannel.
Could you please help me in understanding why Am I getting this error at all?

Hi Use dynamic configuration UDF to create file name dynamically.its very easy search in sdn you will find the code,even you can create file directory name dynamically.
In receiver file communication channel if you use PayLoadZipBean it will do Zipping of your message,for this you need to add this bean name additional parameters section in Receiver Channel.
If you want to create zip file based on pay load value check the condition at mapping level based on that call the service,if you not required zip file in other case for that you need to create one more file receiver communication channel.

We can use all mappings single scenario,how mean just add the mapping names in Operation/Interface mapping.
As per my understanding Message Mapping works faster then JAVA then XSLT then ABAP,but it depends on how many lined of code you written.

Yes we can use RFC Asynchronous,search in sdn you will find it,if unable to find let me know.

Directory for archiving files with errors

HI ,
My Scenario is file to RFC Asynch.
when ever the PI picks file from the source directory that file need to delete from the path and need to be archived to some other patch.
And if the file has wrong data it need to archive to error archive folder.
For this I used Archive processing in filesender adapter and I also used directory for archiving files with errors(for wrong data files).
Now the files are arching successfully in the given archive folder for successful messages. But the error files (wrong data which are throwing mapping error in MONI) are also archiving in the same archive folder.
But these error files need to archive in error archive folder.
How can I achieve this?

you can use raja's logic ..........in addition in second receiver do a simple mapping UDF to delete the file from the SUCCESS folder. otherwise your file will be archived in both the folder success and errror

File Adapter Fault Handling for CSV files

I have been working on a requirement where the file adapter picks up the file and gives to the BPEL for processing the data.

If i put some test data like below , the .txt file is being picked up and the valid being passed to the BPEL and its not returning any error for the invalid records. In this case, just want to throw an error and exit the bpel.

UDF for replacing special or junk characters

Hi
Is there any stanard function for replacing any junk characters with zero? If not, I needed UDF for fulfilling this requirement.
My requirment is .... Am sending some files to r/3 using XI. In the source(txt file) some time some fields have some junk characters. I must make it to zero, the field which has junk. How can I acheive it? is there any UDF using which I can fulfill my requiremnt.

Calling webservice in udf for inserting data into webservice

Dear Experts,
      Please give me the drawbacks of using lookup function for inserting data. we are calling a webservice from the udf for inserting the data using a webservice.
It is a file to jdbc usnig a soap lookup . we use this approach because we need to pass the response from webservice along with the error data to the jdbc.   is there any other way to do it without using bpm ?
    In the udf we are creating the xml structure for webservice and passing the parameters through arguments.
is there a better approach for this ?

Hi Aju,
You can do it without BPM.
Write UDF for Soap Lookup. Parse the response message from Webservice. and map the required values to respective fields.

Negative point of this solution is that it will take some time to call Webservice and get response back from it.

Dynamically generating file names for 2 File ( 1: 2 mapping transformation)

I have a scenario Proxy to File(FCC) with 1:2 transformation in message mapping ie 1 sender and 2 receiver interface ....
1 Message mapping
1 Operation mapping
1 RD , 1 ID and 2 file receiver channels and 2 receiver agreements.
I need to dynamically generate the filename say abc.(first 9 characters of mesg id) and xyz.(first 9 characters of mesg id)
I used dynamic configurations with ASMA settings, created 2 UDF assigned each of these to header node of r receiver message types.
Here, I guess the second dynamic configuration is over writing the first dynamic configuration and hence creating only one file with xyz.(first 9 characters of mesg id)

As dynamic configuration doesnot work in case of 1:n mapping what you need to do is
Create a field Filename in your source data structure
Create a1:1 mapping between your source structure and source structure
In that 1:1 mapping on the target structure assign UDF for file name
Now this target structure will be used as a source structure in your next 1:2 mapping
Under operation mapping add first the 1:1 mapping for source and then the multimapping
