UIX : Data action doesnt call a method

hi,
1)I have created two uix pages u1 and u2
2)I have created a data action(a1) based on method(findinvoices)
3)I have created farward from u1 to data action(a1)
4)I have created another farward from data action(a1) to u2
5)I method to accept the params which i defined in u1 and execute the method which i draged and dropped on action(a1)
Note i have defined the param values for each param of data action(a1).
Why data action(a1) is not calling the method instead it directly goest to u2 and execute the query on it.

I already created another page and tried to Drag and Drop my Method from Data Control Palette, but I only have the choice to create a button and I would like to see the result.
Adding a c:out tag to the JSP page.
Can you help me with this problem??

I have a method that retruns 2 values (audit(Number,Number)) and exposed the Service Metod, but now I need to add a Data Action to Execute that method.
I already add an Data Action icon to my Page Flow Diagram but what do I need to do next?

Use Action to call JSP method instead for forwarding to another url

I have a servlet button to save data I have entered on a form. The only way I understand to save the data when the button is pressed is to use ACTION and call up a .jsp to do the work like this:

Managing exception in data action

Hello,
I am working on a web j2ee project based on struts/adf technology scope.
I need to do some complex elaboration when the user press a button, so:
1. I develop a data action
2. from the data action I call a method of the application module
3. I get the result from the method and forward to the proper page,
4. etc.
My method in the application module raises exceptions (when no data are found on the database, when parameters are null, when the database is down...).
If I let my method to throw exceptions (i write "throws Exception" in the declaration), the wizard doesnt let me to export the method to the client!!
Otherwise I should catch the exceptions in my method in the application module, return an integer to the data action and write some code to decode the return value and eventually raise the exception again: I can't believe I have to do it this way!!!

I will try it from another system. as i am the administrator of my desktop also I am trying to uplode a Image from Desktop so don't think that there is the problem b'coz of permisions.
May be problem is with GUI only.

I am uploading vendor master data using bdc call transaction method for XK01. In that i am getting an error message that the fields " smtp_addr" ( for email) and "time_zone" (for time zone) doesnot exist on the screen '0110' ( this is the second screen) . the field timezone will be displayed on the screen only when we go for communications button and select the URL field .
Do anybody have the solution for this problem. if possible can you give me the code for that screen.

Create a recording via SM35 (menu go to=>recording), this will generate automatically the code for filling your bdcdata-table...

Call AM method on ActionComponent events

i need to perform some action like calling AM method ,isUserValid() tio check if user is valid or not on
clicking action components like commandbutton and commandlink.
i can archive this by adding PagePhaseLsitener ,and in beforePahseListener.
i can handle action event update model process Phase.
but the issue is i need to execute the AM method only actioncomponet event processing phase
how to we know the event was generated by Action Component?

No batch input data for screen occured in Call Transaction method for PA40

Hi,
I creatred an interface to update an employee action data ( Change of position ) PA40 by using Call transaction method.
while executing the interface, I got the below error.
No batch input data for screen MP049100 200
this interface updated the first employee from file, then after it is giving the below error frequently.

The infogroup of action Change Position may be having infotype 0491. The infotypes screen sequence is decided based on employee's country grouping and user group. For the employee where you are receiving error, infotype 0491 screen is appearing for which you do not have BDC data.

Here's an example application that illustrates how to do this. I haven't had a chance to writeup a little paper to go with it yet, but will as soon as I have a chance.

Using ADF View object create method in Data Action

I need to know how to create a new row in an application module method and get the attributes from the ADF input form.
If i Drag drop the create method in the data action form it is working fine. But how to do this programmatically, I have a need where i need to execute a query on another view object and set the create method.

Error while updating data using session and call transaction method

    i have to update data using MM01 transaction from flat file to database.i have used both session method and call transaction method to do that.in both the methods data has been transferred from internal tables to screens but while updating the data that is by clicking the ok-code at the end of the transaction iam getting a dialogue box stating
   SAP EXPRESS DOCUMENT "UPDATE WAS TERMINATED" RECEIVED FROM AUTHOR "SAP".
please tell whether the problem lies and solution for that.

Call a method with complex data type from a DLL file

I have a win32 API with a dll file, and I am trying to call some methods from it in the labview. To do this, I used the import library wizard, and everything is working as expected. The only problem which I have is with a method with complex data type as return type (a vector). According to this link, import library wizard can not import methods with complex data type.
The name of this method is this: const std::vector< BlackfinInterfaces::Count > Counts ()
where Count is a structure defined as below:
struct Count
Count() : countTime(0) {}
std::vector<unsigned long> countLines;
time_t countTime;
It seems that I should manually use the Call Library Function Node. How can I configure parameters for the above method?

You cannot configure Call Library Function Node to call this function. LabVIEW has no way to pass a C++ class such as vector to a DLL.

How to call a method of an Action class from JSP on load?

Hi guys
Due to bad design pattern, i am forced to do something which i have not tried before.
I need to call a method of a struts action class which invalidated the user session FROM the JSP itself on load. Which means it would not require user input.
We have a subclass of a DispatchAction that handles all the incoming .dos.
So http://blarblarblar:7001/blar/blar/doSomething.do?method=logout will dispatch to an Action class called DoSomething, into a method called logout().
So when the webapp throws an exception, the ActionMapping actually displays an error.jsp and i have to invalidate the user at this stage.
I can't change the most top level code in the base action class so i got to do it this way.
Any help is much appreciated.

How to call particular method in action class from Portlets StrutsContent

I am developing a web application which uses weblogic portlets and struts. This is what I have for now in the .portlet file.

I want it to change something like this:

But this is not working. So how can I achieve something like that?

Call Java Method on Commanlink action without page refresh

Hi,
I have a radio button in my application which on click calls a new JSP page inside DIV tag of the same JSP. Now before calling that JSP Page i want to perform some functionality . So i placed a commandlink on radio like this -

</h:commandLink> What I am looking for is that when a user clicks on Radio, first a Java method named deleteData() is called and then onclick() event of Radio is processed which loads a new JSP Page inside DIV tag beneath the radio button.
But what happens is that as i click on Radio, command link takes precedence and refreshes the page.
Is it possible for commanlink to just call the method and don't refresh or reload the page ????
