UK Store Shipping Date?

Hi. Every time I check the UK Apple Store shipping date for the Apple TV, it seems to be pushed back. Today, for example, the estimated shipping is 02 Apr, 2007. Why should it take so long to ship something they already have in stock?

I was also holding out to buy one from the store, but those guys have no idea when they're getting them.
Interestingly, when I went to the online store, I rang the number provided for sales enquiries - just to ask them what was going on. The guy I spoke to assured me that the fastest way to get one was through him - I placed my order Monday pm and it got shipped the next day.
The reason it takes so long is that it's shipped directly from China - which seems to imply that there is still no stock in this country.

I bet you are anxious to receive your new phone, limejuice. I want to make sure I understand correctly, did you ever get the confirmation email?
If so, check the order status here http://bit.ly/RjmCUB.

That's a great question weintrw! You can find the estimated shipping date in the confirmation email that was sent after you placed your order.

  • Do Verizon customers have any legal recourse in response to the false advertising of iPhone ship dates, as well as de-prioritizing existing customers in the fulfillment order?

9/19 guaranteed ship date, seems like a clear cut case of "bait and switch" on top of the customer service failure.
State and federal laws are in place to protect consumers from false or misleading advertising. These laws make deceptive claims illegal. No business may make false, misleading, or deceptive claims about a product regarding its:
    Price
    Quality
    Purpose
Consumers who are victims of false or misleading advertising should contact an experienced lawyer to find out about his or her rights and actions that can be taken.
False advertising is any published claim that is deceptive or untruthful. Misleading advertising is any published claim that gives a consumer an incorrect understanding of the product they are interested in purchasing or using. The false and misleading advertising by companies of any product may result in the consumer suffering a financial loss, or another form of damage to the consumer.
The financial losses or damages acquired by a consumer due to the false or misleading advertising may not be significant. However, this is not a cost that any consumer should have to endure. Consumers who have suffered from financial losses or other damages may participate in a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for any losses incurred.
The Types of False and Misleading Advertising Tactics
There are several types of false and misleading advertising tactics used by companies to lure in unsuspecting consumers. Some of these tactics include:
    Bait & Switch Advertising
    High-Pressure Sales Tactics
    Deceptive Form Contracts
    Artificially Inflating Prices
    Failure to Disclose
Bait & switch advertising is the advertising of a product that the business does not provide or does not intend to sell. Businesses usually lure consumers into stores by promising to sell or provide an item or service at a certain cost. Once the consumer is in the store, the business tries to sell the consumer a more costly item or service.
High-pressure sales tactics are used to get consumers to purchase a service or product that he or she does not want or does not intend to purchase.
Deceptive form contracts have ambiguous promises or fine print in their contracts that are usually overlooked or misunderstood.
Artificially inflating prices is used by businesses to give the illusion that a great deal on a product or service is available.
Failure to disclose is a term used for when a business does not inform consumers when an item or service is currently unavailable, or when an offer has expired.
Consumers may be awarded a variety of remedies against any business that engages in false or misleading advertising. These remedies may include:
    Monetary damages
Injunctions ordering the businesses to stop running the advertisements
Injunctions ordering the businesses to stop engaging in deceptive practices
Injunctions ordering the businesses to include disclosure statements in their advertising

Good luck in proving that they purposely deceived you, me, and anyone else still waiting.  I'm would guess that they were told by Apple to expect a certain amount devices, and when that amount fell short...well guess what happens...backorders and furious consumers.  Was I upset that I had trouble pre-ordering...yes.  Was I a bit bothered when my ship date moved...you betcha!  Will my world come to an end if I don't have my new iPhone today...nope, not at all.  I'm not saying you shouldn't be bothered but it's not like it's a limited edition device and they're only producing so many.  Everyone who wants one will eventually have the opportunity to get it...some of us will just have to wait a little longer.  I'm in no way telling you not to be upset, after all, you're entitled to your own opinion and feelings...I just know that my energy could be better used on something more productive than being angry at Verizon.   After all, I know they're not sitting on a boat load of phones just pointing at laughing at the fact that I have to wait.  When they have it, they'll ship it.  I'll get mine and I'm sure if you hang in there, you'll get yours too.  Have a great evening and smile...life's much to short to spend any moment being upset over something as simple as a delayed phone.

  • Dear Verizon, I ask that you please communicate with your customers. We know now that if our iPhone 6 Plus hasn't shipped by now, its not getting to us on 9/19. Will you at least update us on a expected ship date? Sincerely, Everyone.

We call customer service and get told:
There were no iPhone 6 Plus available for a 9/19 ship date.
All iPhone 6 Plus are back ordered until November.
Our system was sold out as soon as the store went live for pre-sale.
If you ordered within the first 10 minutes, most likely a mid October back order date, otherwise November.
I would like someone to tell us what is going on with our orders.

  • Lightning to 30-pin Adapter ship date?

Antone have an idea when the 30 pin adapter will ship? I ordered 2 from the apple store but still no mention of a shipping date? couldn't find any in any authorized apple dealer. haven't made it to a apple store yet.
    Are they even available?

The whole switch is irritating.  The latest release of the iphone looks slapped together and it doesn't reflect the reputation that Apple built it's empire on.  Apple was supposed to be the company where if you spent an extra few bucks, the quality of hardware and support was unsurpassed.  Now, they are looking very typical when it comes to other electrontics companies.  I've only recently bought a couple of Apple products, but it's impossible for me to understand the unconditional support that people have given them in the past.  It shows that they were truely an innovative and caring company when you look at their fans.  However, Apple is resting on its laurels.
Please show me that the recent iPhone 5 is not a bait and switch for accessories.  Please get the adapters out to market.  Please respond to our frustrations at the $30 price tag and proprietary nature.  Please show us that this isn't a slapped together, half-baked operation.  How many months were you guys working on this?  Maybe you should have made it micro-USB?  You are neither adapting or innovating...which is not a good sign.
Apple stock was supposed to hit $1,000 a share by the end of this year.  It's looking more like Apple/Icarus are heading in Hewlett-Packard's direction.

  • Estimated Ship Date VS. Actual Ship Date/Delivery Date

I am pretty sure best buy nor walmart are going to have them tomorrow. I believe right now it's going to be only verizon stores and apple stores (someone correct me if this is wrong) but I do believe I saw that information posted.

  • Expect Ship Date: Not Available At This Time?

I preordered a 16GB space gray iPhone 6 shortly after 3:01 AM EST on Friday September 12.  In my confirmation email, it says the phone will be delivered by 9/19. However, when I look up my order number to track it, the Expected Ship Date is "Not available at this time".
Any ideas what's going on? My card was charged.

I too woke up early and experienced aweful process time.  I was on from 3:45AM to 5:10AM trying to complete my order.  When I finished, it said arrival on the 19th. Great, right?  Wrong.
Next I got an email confirmation that said Shipped by the Oct 7th.  Wow that's a big delay!  The, when I pulled the pre order number up on the site, that the link in the email takes me too, the next day it said the 19th.  A few days later it said not available.  Today, it finally updates now shows the 7th?
I get that it changed due to heavy demand but a few things bother me.
1st I called support and they couldn't help, they said they see the note of the 7th and couldn't confirm where I saw the 19th originally.  Also they couldn't tell me when it would ship or provide any shipping confirmation.  It seems strange but not the most upsetting part.
2nd, and more importantly.  I explained to support that I ordered 3 total devicies, all of which are being delayed for one device!  For myself, I ordered the 6+ space gray 64mb, for my wife the 6 silver 64mb, and my son a Galaxy S4 16GB.  I did not understand why, even though I did it as one order, my wife's and son's phones were being delayed. It appears that only the 6+ is in short supply, and what is the cause for this delay.  Everywhere it seems that there will be plenty of 6's out.  She explained to me they could rebuild the order, but I would lose my spot on the 7th if I did so for my 6+?  Is that really my only option?  I have to wait now until November just so my son and wife can have their phone sooner?  Or My wife and son have to wait until next month to get a phone I could go to the store and pick up tomorrow no problem?  This is aweful.
I came from a (2nd largest) competitor, who I was with 8 years, and I've never seen anything handled like this on any pre-order with that provider.  I am starting to regret my last 2 years at VZW, I came for the coverage and found it's no better in my area, more expensive, and now this?  I am tempted to camp out with my old provider tomorrow and if I can land the phones switch back.  Sometimes actions speak louder than words.
Good luck to everyone, maybe Apple can surprise everyone and get their supply up faster than the delay dates you have been given.

  • A question about the month long ship date on preorders.

I realize they received a ton of preorders, but it still doesn't make sense that people I know are able to walk into an AT&T store and get one within a day or two (one waited for 3 hours, and they reserved one of a new shipment the following day and called him in, another walked in and they had one within two days for him).
What's the point of a preorder then if it takes a month to ship? (ordered June 17th, delivered by July 19th).
It's not that big of a deal. I'll wait as I don't have much time this summer and am busy during AT&T's store hours (and I hear the waiting is worse at our local Apple store). My gripe is that it doesn't seem in any way logical, regardless of the amount of preorders or not (either stop the preorders earlier, or honor your mistake). It essentially defeats the entire purpose of a preorder.
Then again, Apple pretty much always has supply issues with one of their products at least once every other year so it's not all that surprising either (I think the anticipation is what's getting to me since my current phone is broken).

I was completely prepared to live with my broken 3G for the next several months (been busted for about 4 months now), but then my wife ordered me the 4 for father's day (she's actually angrier than I am about the ship date now knowing she could have waited for a few hours to get one instead).
Now that I know it's coming, the flaws of my 3G are all the more glaring and upsetting.

  • Shipping Date Change issue in SNC

    Hi ,
Recently we upgraded from SNC5.1 to 7.0.Supplier enters the shipping date in PO worklist and system in turn calculates the Delivery date. This is working fine in Production also.
But after upgrade we found that when supplier enters the shipping date other than requested  shipping date by customer then System is not saving the date and in turn when gets published customer requested shipping date is getting transmitted to ECC.
    Chnage date is not working.
    Thanks and Regards
    Raghavendra Pai

    Hi Raghavendra
    I have the below settings
    D/T Due Qty (ASN):Shipping Date/Time
    D/T Due Qty (Conf):Shipping Date/Time
D/T for ASN in DL: Shipping Date/Time
    Relevant PO SL:CONF
Also i have deactivated the validation check
    PO_SHIP_AFTER_DELVRY_DATETIME
    for profiles POC1,POC2 & POC3
I am able to enter the CDD date as desired, same is transferred to ERP
    Regarding Due list query
When you create an advanced shipping notification (ASN) for a purchase order item in the due list for purchasing documents, the system fills the ASN with the data that is currently displayed in the due list for purchasing documents.
and this is requested data, i am not sure how to get confirmed data into due list query, you need to ask any webdynpro developer, like which FM and query it is referring and modify it suitable
You can create ASN for confirmation  line in PO details, as it is allowing to store the delivery date now
    Best Regards
    Vinod

  • Anyone else with a 9/7 ship date

Ordered my x on the 19 Missed the 31st ship date by a day.  Sitting here patiently waiting for the x.  This is the best phone that Verizon has in my opinion.  Anyone think that they will come out with the face chat.  That would be so cool with Verizon

Me too! 9/7.  I ordered mine online yesterday at around 1-2:00.  I called around to some of my local stores looking for stock and was told that nowhere had the phone, that it was "special order."  I'm so excited to get it, using it in-store side by side the other phones offered totally sold me.  It seems amazing!  I got the blue silicone case to put it in.  I fully expect my iPhone-using boyfriend to be jealous.

  • Expected ship date question

On 9/28/14, at a Verizon store I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus Gold 64 GB.  My pre-order status shows an expected ship date of 10/31/14.  Is that expected ship date the date it should arrive at the Verizon store, or, is it the date it will ship to the store?  And, when could I expect to get contacted when its ready for me to pick up from the store.

        Hi tdur,
I apologize for any delay with getting your order. The expected ship date is based on the availability of the device of which a tracking number should be provided. Use that tracking # you can contact the store to give a heads up to and to arrange a pickup when it is available.
    Thank you!

  • "Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011"?

On my account, I have listed for my preordered Iphone 4S
    Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011
Assuming they do just get to shipping the iphone 4S on the 14th, does verizon overnight phone orders so that I would get it on the 15th? I've never bought a phone online before so i'm not sure how this works.

It's all based on inventory. Those who pre-ordered online basically are guranteeing themselves a phone with out having to wait in line for what may or may not be there. Lets say there were 15,000 iphones available for preorder to actually be shipped on the 14th. And then the stores in your area got 5 iphones a piece. Then By preordering you are ensuring that you will get a phone in that next batch of orders where as with out pre ordering, you would have to go to a store and wait in line and if there are no phones left by the time you get in the store then you STILL have to be put on a waiting list, now the difference is your way lower on the list than the person who pre-ordered. Now youre right, some people may be able to walk into a store and get a phone BEFORE those that pre-ordered will get theres but thats a gamble. Store phone availabliity will be based on inventory and willingness to wait. People in the suburbs will probably be able to walk in and pick one up. Someone who lives in downtown seattle probably wouldnt be able to do that with out camping out front for a couple of days.

  • Regular iPhone 6 ship date???

So I'm curious - I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 on 9/13 in a store and the rep specifically said, "if you order just a regular iPhone 6 (not the Plus), it will definitely ship on the 19th."  He said that if I order a Plus it wouldn't be until Oct.  So, I decided to go with just a regular 6 mainly for that reason - I wanted it sooner.  Now I check my status on the 20th and it says expected ship date 10/10????  Of course I can't find a number to call - should I just call the store?  Or do they not have accurate information (as one of the reps already provided me with false info)?

I'm in the same boat. Same phone and expected ship date. My expected delivery date was the 7th.
I also have a 6+ coming to me which is going to be my phone. I guess I should just assume that's going to be late too.
Wouldn't be so bad if I haven't already seen ppl who ordered after me already have their phones when they ordered the same phones as me.

  • Anybody else that had an ESTIMATED SHIP DATE OF BY THE  NOV 18TH  HASN'T Shipped YET?

Just curious if I am the only that had a phone that was supposed to ship by the Nov 18th that hasn't shipped yet.  Checked today and it still hasn't shipped either.
    Ordered a 32 GB Black iPhone 4s on 11/3.
    Thanks

I guess the operative word is "estimated". I've had my ship date pushed back due to an order glitch, and from what I've read, the demand for the 4s everywhere is greater than Apple anticipated. So deliveries will be slower, unless you find one at an Apple store (being in the right place at the right time - that happened to my wife, I was slower in ordering mine).
