ULIMITS Failed in RDA

Hi All,
We are planning to install 10gR2 in one of the production boxes and i ran the RDA and in the rda output every thing is fine but ULIMITS is failed. Is it ok to goahead and install 10gR2 or i have to set the ulimits first???

Ulimits are OS limits which can restrict the number of open files, or the file size, or other OS attributes.
You have a choice ....
1. setup the OS correctly as per the Oracle recommendations and avoid known problems
or
2. ignore the Oracle recommendations, wait for the database to crash, then spend lots of time debugging the problem in the future.

I ran Oracle Diagnostic tool using SYSADMIN.
selected Cash Management filled the form providing Responsibility ID, Application Shortname , apps username and password.

COncurrent process fails with warning for OPP

Concurrent process generates xml output (version 5.6.2) .
When it tries to publish it , the log suggests checking out the OPP log.
The OPP log has a series of java entries for the request, including one of the type

Polling adapter fails unexpectedly

Trying to test ESB polling service.Created sample polling service that check for database table changes. Service does not work properly, found error message in log.xml file:
JCA inbound adapter service listener for "Fulfillment.TestPooler_RS.receive" with endpoint ID "[TestPooler_ptt::receive(CustomerCollection)]" has been requested to shutdown by Resource Adapter due to fatal error. Reason : ORABPEL-11624
DBActivationSpec Polling Exception.
Query name: [TestPooler], Descriptor name: [TestPooler.Customer]. Polling the database for events failed on this iteration.
If the cause is something like a database being down successful polling will resume once conditions change. Caused by Exception [TOPLINK-6024] (Oracle TopLink - 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) (Build 061004)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.QueryException

Cause of problem
Both OC4J running BPEL and the database adapter reached the maximum number of connections and were unable to establish new ones.
The reason for the problem is a database adapter Bug 5595347.
According to Bug 5595347, the database adapter might leave open connections behind.
The fix for Bug 5595347 is included in Patch 5638122.
Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
Apply Patch 5638122.

Rapidwiz fails on database step for 12.1.1 on Oracle Linux 5.7

I am trying to install Oracle EBS 12.1.1 on Oracle Linux 5.7 64 bit platform.
The issue is that after I followed the requirements including set kernel parameters by using the oracle-validated RPM package, the install fails on database creation step.

If you are running the one in (RDA 4 - Health Check / Validation Engine Guide [ID 250262.1]), then I believe it is only available for "Linux-x86 Platforms" (32-bit).
2) I notice issue with DNS configuration:

So this leads me to my next question, when I use nslookup to search the domain on the DNS server for the host, it resolves successfully. BUT, when I run nslookup against the IP address
it cannot find it in DNS. Would this be the root cause of why my installation keeps failing? I have verified checksums and software is fine. I am still missing a couple RPMs but do not believe this is what causing the install to fail yet in light of the network connection errors that Rapidwiz keeps throwing at me.All network files/settings can be found in (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for Linux x86-64 [ID 761566.1]).

Urgent : Generation of file "application".xml fails and deploys aborted

Hi,
I recently took over an application (called RDAS) and downloaded if from DTR. But this didnt work well (all sources files have been downloaded, but lots of models and custom controllers were missing in the webdynpro perspective). This has been fixed well by modifying manually file Rdas.wdcomponent
I just found out that in my component, a window and it's view are also missing (no links with any other windows or views of my application). This window just contains a view and acts as a popup (no navigation link or so with the rest of my component). I modified files Rdas.wdcomponent and RdasInterface.wdcomponentinterface and it builds well. No errors. I can now find my missing window and view in the webdynpro perspective.
But since then I can not deploy anymore. I get the following errors:
Web Dynpro Generation: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.repository.RepositoryRuntimeException: Failed to parse XML document containing VMO=com.alstom.power.rdas.wd.Rdas., D:/Workspace_JDI/0/DCs/power.alstom.com/rdaswd/_comp/gen_wdp/configuration/Applications/com.alstom.power.rdas.wd.Rdas/Rdas.xml
And when I check in the generated files, the xml file associated to the application is not genetared anymore.
Any ideas?

Finally I figured out what was wrong.
An entry was missing in file RDAS.wdcomponent (views have to be inserted in the views list and also in the components list).

I am performing an R12.2 Vision Installation on SLES 11 SP3 for VMWARE.
Reference RDA - Health Check / Validation Engine Guide (Doc ID 250262.1)
I executed the " ./rda.sh -T hcve " check to perform the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (12.2.0) Preinstall (Linux x86_64).
I receive this failure:   " A03550 DNS Lookup           FAILED nslookup host.domain "
Can you help direct me to why I may be receiving this error?

Trying to run rda.pl but getting error.

I am Prasanta and I am facing this problem.When I was trying run rda.pl script for generating a report for the overal picture for the server and database.
Environment Details:
HP-UX(PA-RISC) B.11.11 64 bits.
Database version 10.1.0.2.0
Here is the error what I am getting:

You did read the error message, didn't you? It is complaining about the absence of a file called 'strict.pm'.
This means either the file is missing from your OS (which you can veriify using find) or the environment variable PERL5LIB is set incorrectly. It should refer to the perl software provided by Oracle, not to the O/S provided version of perl. IIRC, the correct value of PERL5LIB is documented, so a search on http://tahiti.oracle.com should provide results.

RDA Datasource problem

THis is my first attempt at an RDA Extractor. THe problem I am getting is that the daemon job is failing with the message in the job log, "Error during extraction: 0 rowa in l_t_tid, 0 rows in l_t_data - Message RSCRT 360.
Here's how I got to this point:
1) Wrote an ABAP in ECC to set the REALTIME to 'X' for this CO-PA datasource (<- Not sure this is even possible for a CO-PA extractor)
2) Replicated the DS into BI 7
3) Created a transformation and DTP.
4) Created an infopack to initialize deltas and ran it (Successfully)
5) Created an RDA enabled infopack and assigned a daemon to it.

Never could get it to work

Bit locker drive encryption failed due to power failer and hard disk corrupted

I ran Bitlocker drive ecryption drive D. My pc is windows 7 ultimate, while it was in progress of 1% due to power failer the encryption failed, when power resume the drive didn't showed the file format nor the size but it shows the size in disk management.
It showed like this in My computer
I do Have the recovery code password and back of recovery password so I ran the "manage-bde-_unlock D:-rp[my code ]
and my pc got hang no other option rather than to press the restart button.
then I used commang "repair-bde -force D:I:-rp[my rp] and following info showed but it stucked in 1% about 8 hours, and there was no increase in the pecentage
I also connected the hardisk to mac but all othe partation showed but didn't showed the encrypted one.
I had lots of memorable picture and other backups so any one kindly help me to get out of this problem. Thanks for help

The BitLocker encryption and decryption processes can be interrupted by turning the computer off, and it will resume where it left off the next time Windows starts. This is true even if the power is suddenly unavailable.
Bitlocker-repair (repair-bde) tool
can't repair a drive that failed during the encryption or decryption process.
In addition, could you please explain a bit for what drive you are trying to deal with? external one?
When you first restart your PC, have you seen any signs that indicate that the encryption is in process?

Cannot send email from my Touch (connection to smtp server fails)

Hello,
I have a new iPod Touch with 1.1.4 and the January apps. I am having a problem setting the Mail application.
I am trying to connect to the IMAP/SMTP servers at my university. I am using the exact same settings and passwords I use on my laptop, which works fine. I can receive email fine on my Touch, but every time I try to send one it fails tellings me "the connection to the outgoing server smtp.myuniversity.edu failed".
If I on purpose write a wrong password for the outgoing mail, the error message I get is different ("check the account settings for the outgoing server smtp.myuniversity.edu").
The university IT people confirmed my settings, and told me that there is nothing blocking any handheld device from using the server.
Does anyone know why this would happen?

Installation of IPC AP 7.0 Jar is getting Failed when uploading in CRM

Hello Experts,
we did some changes in the previosly uploded version of IPC AP 7.0 customer user exit Jar file in eclipse.
While uploading the new modified jar through transaction /SAPCND/UE_DEV in CRM we are getting error :" installation of module <Jar file name > has failed ".
when we checked the logs in SM 53 we seen the below mentioned error:

Yesterday after Posting the thread we found the same Note ,Issue occured because of JAVA write access was not enabled on the table ,After enabling it as mentioned in SAP Note, Jar file get successfully uploaded.

During an upgrade from 4.7 to ERP6 I get the following error
message in phase STARTSAP_NBAS:

-2: the test rfc did not work.
Try to log on to the system with user DDIC
When I try to log on to the system as user DDIC, I get the following

SAP* can log in .The password I submit is correct. I have not changed this password at

DB-Error -0 indicate problem with kernel, try to upgrade kernel.
check Note 760175 - 6.20: Logon not possible (after DB export or system copy)

Running workbook from .bat fails to start application missing CORE40 dll

I have been running several workbook via windows task scheduler / vbscript &/or bat files.
I now have a new box which I access thru Remote Desktop Connection, so I can run all these automated updates without having my screen blinking everytime a shedule workbook starts.
If I click on the actual Discoverer icon, or the discoverer workbook shortuct, all works well.
If I click on the .bat file, or try to run the workbook via the cmd , it gives me the following error:
DIS4USR.EXE – Unable To Locate Component
“this application has failed to start because CORE40.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.”
The dll is under c/orant/bin/core40.dll, which is where I've read it should be, and it works fine in my regular box...
Please help! URGENT :)

Check the PATH environment variables for the machine you are on and the one you are connecting to.
You might not have Discoverer's objects in the PATH.
Another possibility is that you have more than one piece of ORACLE software on the machine and you may need to also set the ORACLE_HOME within the BAT file.
