UltraSearch web source: unable to open socket
I am gettin the following error when running a crawler against the main website hosted by my midtier Apache.
WKG-30164: Unable to open socket to host "dev.mylendlease.com:80"
"java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused"
I can successfully connect to http://cnn.com and other websites except for my midtier? Is there an issue with Webcache and a web source in UltraSearch?
Thanks,
Laith E.H.
From the host WHERE THE CRAWLER IS RUNNING (unless you are running a remote crawler, this will be the host on which the DB is running) try :
-- connect to port 80 of the target server
telnet dev.mylendlease.com 80
-- next enter:
GET / HTTP:1.0
(followed by 4 returns)

Unable to open socket in MIDlet
I am using jdk1.4.2_012, CLDC1.4 & MIDP2.0.
I have written the MIDlet in which I want to open socket on localhost. But it is not opening the socket. what is the problem? Code module is given below:
private static String url = "socket://127.0.0.1:8100";
StreamConnection conn = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(url);
Can anybody help me out in this scenario?Hi,
to check if it works;
If your app doenst need a well-known (registered) port-number, use dynamic port-asignment and omit the IP-address of local host, as following:
private static url = "socket://";
Why StreamConnection and not SoketConnection as the data- type of returend object by open(url) - method?!
Note there are big differende between these 2 types connection. Socket is higher level connection than StreamConnection. It has the implementation of TCP trasport-protocol inside.

at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newIn  Hello,
you can check it at GlassFish Admin console (usually running on port 4848).
You need to log on to Admin console with the (default) or changed password (depends if you changed it during installation).
There you could see your web service deployed (usually in the "folder" Web services).
If you can see it you should see also wsdl - for your web service.

TS3276 i am unable to open web pages from email links on my ipad
I am unable to open web pages from email links on my ipad
A few more details might help, if nobody else recognizes this.
What happens when you try to open the links?
Can you post an example of a link that doesn't work?
Is there any particular source for the mail with the (bad) links, or is mail from all sources failing?
If you happen to know it, what's the format of the mail message? (Maybe the message is an image?)
Do the embedded links work as expected from an OS X system running Mail.app, or some system and some other other mail client?
To view the link in iOS: if you press on and hold your finger on an embedded link in most contexts, iOS will show a pop-up with the link contents, and will offer to copy it. You can use that to acquire and post the link. If pressing and holding on the link doesn't offer the pop-up, the format of the link itself may not be valid, or it might not really be a link. -

I ran Update-SPWOPIProofKey on the SharePoint Server; and it has seemed to fix it.
Trying to recall past events; in January we installed the latest Web Apps updates; and while troubleshooting this issue; I did as well; install the most recent Web Apps updates KB2956158.
We use the Remove-OfficeWebAppsMachine and subsequently New-OfficeWebAppsFarm each time we apply the updates. Our environment is stand-alone. One Exchange Server, One SharePoint Server, One Office Web Apps Server.
Any insight is appreciated.

Unable to open .shtml file in Sun java web server 6.1
Hi,
I migrated my application from iPlanet 6.0 to Sun one web server 6.1 and after that I'm unable to open any .shtml file from my browser. This issue is not with all browser but only with few.
Ex : It works fine with firefox 1.x but fails with firefox 2.x
I tried adding the shtml_send Init parameters in Magnus.conf and edited the obj.conf, and my mime type has the following entry for shtml:
type=magnus-internal/parsed-html exts=shtml,jbhtml
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
SSWhat is the exact version of Web Server you are using? Should be in the error logs or try $start -version
It would be faster if you can capture and cut and paste the data that is sent between firefox and Web Server in both the cases using /usr/sfw/bin/ssltap (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/ssltap.html) or ethereal when you try to view that shtml file. We can see if its any different in both cases and try it from there.
Also verify the steps given in http://docs.sun.com/source/817-1832-10/pgshtml.html
mime.types should have :
type=magnus-internal/parsed-html exts=shtml
obj.conf should have :
Service fn="shtml_send" type="magnus-internal/parsed-html" method="(GET|HEAD)"
When you activate parsing, magnus.conf should have :
Init funcs="shtml_init,shtml_send" shlib="install_dir/bin/https/bin/Shtml.dll" NativeThreads="no" fn="load-modules"
Shtml.dll (or libShtml.so on UNIX), is located in install_dir/bin/https/bin for Windows, and install_dir/bin/https/lib for UNIX. -

AryaI'm having a similar issue.
Did a fresh install of 11.2.0.1.0 under Windows 2003 - latest updates - IE 8.
I can access Enterprise Manager from other computers - but not from the local server.
I've tried both: https://oracle.xxxx.xxx:1158/em and https://localhost:1158/em
Both give me the generic "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" - but if I access from another computer it comes up - so I know everything is working... -

GopiHi,
Just check I think users are executing reports first time, Go to Start Menu of Windows -> All Programs -> Business Explorer -> Analyser.
Then a pop windows will come which will ask for enabling Macros in Excel.
Check the Authorization Role for User in TCode PFCG, Check the Sub option for S_RS_COMP & S_RS_COMP1.

I am unable to open my iWeb-created web site, for which I have a backup.
My web site is online and I want to access it to make changes. It does not appear when I open iweb, but I have a backup copy on my desktop. When I move backup onto icon for iweb, it doesn't open it. How can I open it again? Since my last opening of it, I've installed the new OS-X software - 10.9
I'm not very computer literate, but I did download the file:
file:///Users/monicaanderson/.Trash/iWeb%20Switch%20Domain.app/
file:///Users/monicaanderson/.Trash/iWebDrop%2013-50-25-235.app/
I copied these links from my download folder and neither would open.
Can anyone help me -- in simple terms
Thank youiWeb has no import facility, so is unable to open any published website at all.
All the data from your iWeb sites is stored in what is called your domain.sites files. These can be located under your User Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Find this file and double click it and iWeb will open it.
The User Library is hidden in Mavericks, so to display it you need to click on the Go menu at the top and then click the alt key and your User Library will then be displayed and then you need to go to Application Support and then iWeb and then you will find your domain.sites files from there.
If you can't find these files, then you are looking at re-building your site from scratch and there is no way in which you can alter your site because unfortunately the backup of your site that you need is your domain.sites files and not a published version - this is not good in iWeb because iWeb has no import facility so cannot open it. -
I am unable to open a PDF file in Firefox 3.6.8. Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.3.3 is installed. I get the error message "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser."
You can get that error if there is still an old Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.

Hi
I am unable to open www.asx.com.au (the Australian Stock Exchange web site).
www.isitjustme says it is ok and it's just me and one of my friends confirmed they were able to open the site.
I have rebooted and also booted in safe mode and disabled AdBlockPlus and in safe mode the virus scanners appear to be off.
I haven't been able to find the site listed anywhere on the iMac as being blocked, but am unsure where to start as this has not happened before.
The problem cropped up earlier when I tried to open a spreadsheet in ApacheOpenOffice Calc and the links to import external data from their web pages failed. So I then tried to open the web site and can't open it. I have tried using Safari, Opera and Firefox. All other web sites are ok.
Oh dear.... I just tried on my iPhone and that also failed to open the site.
.....So does this mean that I need to contact the ASX tomorrow by phone or is there another possibility that I need to check.
I though maybe the action of the spreadsheet upset them, but is has been fine for a long time, though I haven't opened it for a few weeks.
Could it be the modem.... a NetComm NB9WMAXX
Thanks
