Unable to change the app icon

I'm working in VS 2010, my project name is bg_img, so I had two icons in Resources tab: bg_img.ico and small.ico.
I replaced both .ico files with my custom .ico files and recompiled the program - still I see the default icon in the window.
If I double click on .ico files in VS I can see my custom images of different sizes there and if I double click on .rc file, I can also see them under Icon menu as IDI_BG_IMG and IDI_SMALL.
Can anyone please tell me why my icon doesn't show up? Thank you!

The .ico file can contain several images with different sizes and number of colors. If you’re saying the icon showing in the caption bar of your window is old, that could be because you are loading the icon with LoadIcon, which I think ignores any 16x16
icon in the .ico file, instead if takes the 32x32 icon and shrinks it. So if you did not make a new icon for the 32x32 one, that is why.
You can use LoadImage instead of LoadIcon and specify 16 as desired width and height, then it will use the 16x16 image in your .ico file.

How do I change the app icons on the bottom bar of my iMac

I would like to add another icon to the bottom of my screen and can't remember how to do it. I know its simple. I've gone to all the obvious places.

If it's an app, navigate to the Apps folder in Finder and select the app you want in the Dock and drag it to the Dock.

Next time you accidentally use 3 fingers it will zoom again. Unless you need the feature you're better to turn it off

I am unable to access the app store and certain websites on my ipod touch. I already tried restoring nothing changed. Also it is post ios 6. Can anyone help?

Not sure what happened but after I downloaded iOS 6 to my iPod touch 4th gen i was unable to use the app store and go on certain websites like yahoo.com, cracked.com and other websites I ussually visit. On top of that the yahoo weather app does not update and always says it fails. I just restored my ipos and nothing changed. Does anyone have an idea of whats going on here?

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

See if this helps. Reboot your router - unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. Reboot/reset your iPad as well and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers.
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2.Plug in and remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone

    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.

    Play sound effects through:
   Select "Internal speakers" and then back to "Selected sound output device".

The key to all this is to click on/select/highlight the Album that you have created in Local Albums.
Then make sure that the Sort By: (in the row below the highlighted "Media" header is set for Album Order.
You should see a number at the top left of each of thumbnails.
Then, click on the thumbnail that you want to move, hold down the click, and drag the thumbnail to the wanted new location
in the line up of thumbnails.
Often I had to press down hard on the drag.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
Also, in Edit Menu/Preferences/Keyword Tags and Albums/Enable Manual Sorting Options, I set all for manual.

Apple IDs never go away, so it still exists.
But lets be clear. You actually stopped using an Apple ID and created a NEW Apple ID. You didn't just change the email address of your Apple ID? That means that all of the music and apps purchased with the old Apple ID will have to be purchased again.
If you really did create a new Apple ID you will need the password associated with the old one to disable Activation Lock. There is no way around this. As I said, the old one still exists. You can use the standard tools to recover the password at https://appleid.apple.com.

Is there a way to change the default icon for a sound file in KN2

i have need to include dozens of sound files on each slide that will trigger as text builds. i can handle all the transitions fine but i cannot figure out how to change the standard icon for the sound file.
i would prefer to have the text be the icon, if that is not possible to have a smaller icon for the file. as i build the page i am ending up with a huge mess, icons covering text, also there is not a intuitive way to tell which sound file is which with out click/playing each file.

A little more info please. What app is causing you problems? What have you tried to fix it? And what if any error messages do you get?
You might try quitting the app and resetting your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

This would not seem to be an Apple issue at all, much less for Apple Remote Desktop. These forums cannot help you with setting up Google Calendar on a Windows system. Perhaps you would be better served by taking your question to a forum related to Google's apps or at least a Windows forum.

Spooky6243 has the solution for CC updates (it worked for me, anyway!): log in to the Apple Store on your web browser (http://http://store.apple.com/us) and then update your account inof there...credit card updates will appear on the iTunes application after making changes thru the website...I wonder why Apple never tells us this in the first place? Probably because it should work thru either application...good luck everyone!
P.S. - And make sure your iTunes app is closed before you make changes on the website (this may help you Geordon).
