Unable to connect to CMC but

hi,
I'm developing a sdk application for BO XI R1 to query the infostore. I have tested my application in my local machine. It works fine. But when I run the application in Client environment, i'm getting the following error (while logging in to the CMC)
"The System <Server Name> could be contacted. But there is no CMS running at port 6400".
But i'm able to connect to the CMC using the Internet explorer.
What might be the problem? Do I need to start any services? Kindly help me at the earliest.
Regards,
bhuvan R

Hi Bhuvan,
Following information might help you to resolve the issue.
The BusinessObjects server has two IP addresses. The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) IP address should be first in the list but it is not.
Move the FQDN IP address of the system to the top of the list.

  • Unable to connect to CMC and Java Infoview

    Hi
I am unable to connect to CMC and Java Infoview. When I am attempting to connect, then the following message is displayed.
"Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to <web server>:<port number>"
    Please give me some suggestions.
    Thanks!

    Hi Stratos
I uninstalled the designer and repaired Crystal Reports Server. But it did not help.
The CMS is running now. But I cannot find all the other services and I am getting the same error when I try to open CMC or InfoView.
I found some of these errors in my system's event viewer:
NT Service message: NT Service Initialization Problem.
The root server reported an error Initialization Failure.
The source for both these errors is BusinessObjects_CMS.
    Please suggest something
    Thanks

You should read through this wiki carefully: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Net … figuration
To begin with you need to preface all interfaces that are to be available to network manager with "!" in the INTERFACES array or rc.conf (that will disable them for Arch init scripts, so that network manager can have free access to them).  You also need to remove the "network" daemon from the DAEMONS array.  There might be something else that I've missed as well...
    Welcome to Arch!

  • I am trying to update iOS 5.01 to 5.1 and I get the message "unable to connect to server" but I am connected to Internet.

    How do I connect?

I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been overloaded with millions of users trying to update.
Here's a description of the update. Not a lot of changes for iPad 1/2.
    iOS 5.1 Software Update

You can wait a while & update at your convenience, or try early AM or late PM.

  • Mail: unable to connect to my SMPT server? Also new Mail Account defaults to iMap and won't let me change to Pop?

    Dear All,
I've been with the same UK internet and email provider for years and they've given me solid and reliable service. I've worked my way through the Apple Knowledgebase checklist and tests and proved that my isp/esp is working normally so the problem has to be with Mail.
I fiddled about trying to create a Mail Account on my late 2011 but-new-to-me MacBook Pro a couple of days ago and, it might be completely unrelated and simply a coincidence, but since then none of my devices, Iphone 4S, Powerbook G4, iPhone 3G, the MBPro can send email using Mail.
Whenever I try I get prompted for my password but when I enter it says it's wrong but it definitely isn't because I even changed it this morning through my isp/esp and it worked and I then changed it back again to my correct password and it works also to get into webmail that is, not via Mail.
When I run Mail\Window\Connection Doctor and check the status it shows Mail is unable to connect to server but that it can connect to the internet. I get the following message: Trying to log in to SMPT account failed.  Try to verify that username and password are correct.
Now, whenever I try to create a new email account on MacBook Pro Mail keeps defaulting to iMap and wont let me change it to Pop which is what I need.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Dear All,
I'll finish off this thread in case it's of use to anyone else in the future.
I couldn't get the email pop account to recognise my sign-in even though I've been using it continually and without problem for the last several years. It's always been BT and Yahoo so it's more likely to be the fiddle about I did on my temporary, pre migration user account that caused the hiccup.
In th end I had to create another pop account which I was able to once I'd migrated my settings from my PB G4 to the MB Pro.  Unfortunately this didn't merge the numerous email folders that I'd created previously in Mail but I still have them on the PB and I believe they can be transferred manually which is what I will do.
Thanks for everyone that took the time to help.
    K

  • Can connect to network but not internet. Please Help!!!!!!!!!

I have a Thinkpad T-60p and have encountered a serious problem; I am unable to connect to the internet. The Thinkpad will recognize and connect to wireless networks but when I go to actually open a webpage it does not open. I spent hours troubleshooting the problem to no avail. My other laptop connects to the internet fine, so I do not think it is an issue with my router or modem. I also went to my neighbors and I was unable to connect to the internet even though I could connect to his network; once again my second computer does not have a problem. I tried what I could in the Thinkvantage wireless software but I am not that familiar with it. When I use the test connection option it just reads, “unable to connect to internet” but I have a strong signal to my network. I then tried a wired connection directly to my cable modem and my neighbors; once again it showed that I have a connection, but still will not connect to the internet. I tried disabling my Firewall and Virus software and still could not connect. I have shutdown, unplugged and reset everything. I still receive the same results. I am not sure what has happened, I have not installed any new software or hardware recently. The computer has been working great up until this morning. I ran my virus software and a free online scan as well, nothing had been detected. I called tech support and they said it was a software issue to either pay $100 for help or post in the forum. The only other option I can think of is a complete systems restore, which I am trying to avoid. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Please Help,
    P.

Perhaps the domain names are not resolving properly.  Instead of http://lenovo.com, try http://64.26.254.19, which is the numerical address for lenovo.com.  If you see the Lenovo home page, it will point us in the right direction.

I will try that when I get home from work, thank you for the advice. However,I did notice that when it attempts to connect it shows the IP Address in the IE window bottom left corner. In the past it would always read connecting to "website name" but since the problem started it shows the IP address instead of the actual name.

  • Unable to connect to the datasource in Endeca Studio

    Hi,
I created a data domain using Endeca Integrator and created the corresponding data source in Endeca Studio. When I'm try to validate the data source configuration in studio it displays the following information "Data source definition format is valid but unable to connect.". But when I leave the studio on for some time and test the connection once again, it works.
Any insight regarding this problem would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Shashank

I believe you are using a machine with not a lot of RAM, that's correct?
Maybe sometimes you need to know how many RAM you have available when you create a new One Source
And also you need to know which Data Sources are enable...
    IN A CMD
    Cd C:\Oracle\Middleware\EndecaServer7.5.1_1\endeca-cmd
    endeca-cmd list-dd-profiles
    For more information check this...

Let me know if this help you...

  • TS2830 Unable to connect ipod to itunes

Hello I am using a version 4.2.1 iPod touch and it is unable to connect or sync with the itunes 10.6.1.7 (64-bit). I get pop-ups whenever I connect my ipod to my laptop that tells me to uninstall the current itunes and upgrade it, but i have already done so multiple times.
it is unable to connect the device. (but the autoplay to open the folder of images on the itouch still works)
I have also tried completely uninstalling and completely installing again, using microsoft fixit program install uninstall.

I get pop-ups whenever I connect my ipod to my laptop that tells me to uninstall the current itunes and upgrade it, but i have already done so multiple times.
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

I have checked with others in my office, who are on the same network and have the same iphone and they all seem to be able to connect to wifi.
But have you tried turning your ROUTER off and on?

  • Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters - In CMC / CR report

I have a CR report that connects to an AS400 and an Excel file.  The Excel file is on a Network Drive, and I've made sure that the drive is mapped on my server that the Crystal Reports Server is on.  I can sucessfully run this report on this same server in CR XI.  However, when I try to Preview or Run Now from the CMC, it says "Unable to connect: Incorrect log on parameters".
I do not have a password on the Excel file, but this is where the problem seems to be.  Any ideas?

In case you use CR Server 2008 you won't find services for cache and page server. These services are integrated and controlled by the SIA (Server Intelligent Agent) service.
Start you CCM (Central Configuration Manager), Select Server Intelligent Agent, Right click and choose properties, Untick System Account and provide a user (domain) account which has sufficient rights to access your folder.

I have never had this problem before. All of a sudden it does not want to work and I need firefox to work.

    Hey, Buzz.
You can download the latest version of iTunes supported on Leopard here:

    I hope that helps.

  • I am unable to connect to the internet, there is a pop-up that says "We're sorry, but the Safari browse version you are currently using dos no support the community toolbar". My computer does say that it is connected to the internet until I open Safari.

I am unable to connect to the interent. At the top of the screen my computer says that I am connected. When I open up Safari there is a pop up that say "Community Toolbar          We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar" and when the Safari page opens up it says "You are not connected to the Internet. Safari can't open the page .... because your computer isn't connected to the Internet." I have tried Network Diagnostics and tried to reset Sfari, empty Cache as well as deleted all of my interent history. I am unable to use Time Machine because I never set it up. If someone knows how to help I would very much appreciate it!!

Some instructions for removing Community Toolbar are available in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/15868085#15868085

  • I have a 5th generation iPod touch that is suddenly "unable to connect to the server", not entirely sure what this means but I'm unable to connect to the internet even though I'm connected to Wifi. Can't connect to iTunes on my pc either. Any input?

I have a 16GB iPod touch that suddenly stopped connecting to the internet last night. Everytime I try to get mail, or access anything with Safari I get a message saying that it can't connect to the server. Also I've plugged it in to my home computer but it won't connect to iTunes either. I haven't updated to iOS8 yet as I didn't have enough space for it and I had planned on deleting all my music files, updating the software and putting whatever music I could fit back on to the device afterward, but now I'm hesitant to do that as I have no way to get any of the files back onto the device. Could this be because I haven't updated to iOS8 yet? I've been having other problems such as apps crashing unexpectedly lately as well, for example my music shuts off randomly and apps such as Twitter and Tumblr and a few others crash on launch. I'm definitely not a genius when it comes to technology by any means, so I have no idea what's causing this problem or how to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
