Unable to convert the file name in Target directory

Dear Experts,
Currently iam facing a problem with some files.my interface is a File to file .As per the interface the sender will pick the flatfiles from source directory which the file name was BNP_NE201.txt once my file reached to target directory the name of the file willrenamed as VENDOR_Payment.NE201 automatically for this they have done some OS level script in receiver communication channel of the first interface which we have added "un operating system command after message processing" in processing parameters tab.again one more sender comm channel wil pick the file from first target directory which is having naming convesion of "VENDOR_Payment.NE201 " and post it to target. all the two interfaces are file to file (NFS) . for a parctuclar day files has been posted to 1 st target directory and the receiver communication channel is not yet convert the file names bcz of that the second communication channel can't able to pick the files from target directory. for some times that is working fine and some times it is unable to convert.
from our side i check every thing .could you please suggest me the way to approch

You need to wait until the file is converted. After when it is converted then the second interface sender communication channel will pick the files.
What do u mean by unable to convert?
Is it unable to do the content conversion? if so then check the data as you said that it sometimes it works fine.

I am using following code to assing file name and directory name in UDF. I don;t want these parameters to be part of my target structure. Since i have created these files names in UDF, what are the values do i need to mention in FTP CC's "File access Parameter" which are mandatory fiels in CC ?

in ID in receiver file comm channel, just tick the option of Adapter Specific messge attributes and in it tick FileName and DirectoryName.............
the filename and directory you give in comm channel will be treated as dummy and the values will be taken from your UDF.......

Acrobat Distiller unable to convert the files to PDF.

Sometimes when I provide multiple files to Adobe Acrobat Distiller to convert them to PDF it opens multiple instances of it which can be seen in the Task Manager but the conversion to PDF stops. The version of Acrobat is 6.0. Could you please suggest me some solution to this issue and it would be better if you also provide me the how acrobat distiller works.

Yes the Distiller is on server so it keeps on running and we see multiple instances of distiller in task manager.
When we add files with intervals or few files then it works fine but when we provide bulk of files it stops converting them to PDF and when we check the task manager we find multiple instances of distiller running.
Then we manually kill the process and then againg the PDF conversion starts normally.

To retain the same file name in target(File) that coming from source system(AS2).

I have a requirement to send the two file from the third party system(GXS) to SAP ECC via SAP PI(version - 7.4). We are using AS2 adapter at the sender side to pick the file and using File Adapter to place the file in ECC.
Its a pass through scenarion(No ESR part is used).
Requirement:
We are going to get 2 files ->Example: one from Axis and another one from ICICI -> each bank file will have a file name ->
We have to post the file at the target system with the same name as source file name, the source file name could come dynamically(with diff time stamp).
Please let me know, Is it possible to achieve the above requirement(we have to retain the file name in target that coming from source system) with Sender AS2 adapter, If yes then please suggest the best approach.

The above requirement is solved now.
Solution - I used java mapping for extracting the same source file name and assignning the same to the target system.

2. Another solution we can use the graphical mapping and need to use the dynamic config UDF at mapping level to acheive this requirement but here is one drawback - we need to do content conversion is this case.
In case of Java mapping, no need to play with source file.
WITHOUT USING ESR, WE CAN NOT ACHEIVE THIS REQUIREMENT.

'Error occured while converting the file--unknown error occured 0x77686174

I just got my first iPod but I'm a little frustrated. I put in a cd, iTunes opens and asks me if I want to import the songs, I reply yes. When it tries the very first song of the cd, it immediately comes up with 'Error occured while converting the file "name of song". An unknown error occured (0x77686174).' It doesn't matter if this is a completely new cd or an older one.
I ran CD diagnostics on iTunes and my results are below. I have posted this several times on many different boards and haven't found any solutions or been given any solutions from anyone. I have an iPod that I can't use because I can't download any songs...does anyone have any idea what to do?
I've looked at Dell to update drivers for my cd drive but it says that I have the newest drivers...the computer isn't even a year old yet. What do I do?? I've wiped the cd like several posts say to do, I've clicked the fix error option on cd off and on like several posts have said to do, I've changed the conversion of 128 to 64 like several posts have said to do...help please, anyone?

Can I script the changing of creation date, using the file name?

Normally people are doing this in reverse, but let me paint the picture.
I pulled 204 video files from an old HDD based JVC camera. JVC records in .MOD format which iPhoto won't import. I imported them into iMovie just fine, and iMovie even set the file name to clip-2007-11-04 04;42;29.mov which is great, but it now has a new creation date of whatever date I imported it. Which then causes problem when I want the videos stored in iPhoto and sorted appropriately by creation date.
I've used the application "A Better Finder Attributes 5" to individually edit the creation and modify, but I'm sure I don't want to do this 203 more times, as you can't just type in the date and time, you have to type in each part of the date/time, or select it on a calendar.
I've used the application "Name Changer" to batch convert the file names to the format YYYYMMDDhhmm which would be helpful if I were going to use the terminal command touch -t, but again I don't want to have to type it in 203 more times, plus drag and drop the file into finder to populate the location.
Now, if I were more handy with automator, or maybe some (any) scripting language this would be easy peasy. I'd batch rename all the files to the YYYYMMDDhhmm.mov and then have a script that just took the file name, passed that to touch -t along with the file location, and a few seconds later, they would all be done!
Anybody have any suggestions to how I can do this, and tips to what commands to use or ANY advice? I'm more than happy to RTFM, but I have no idea which manual to read!

If your file names are precisely as you have written, this script will do what you want.
Copy the script into an AppleScript Editor document, select one or more files in a Finder window, return to the AS Editor and press Run. Note: you will need to provide your password when the script runs.
Make sure you have a backup of any files you are working on (try using duplicates first, perhaps). The script has no error handling.

Looping multiple excel files at a time in ssis and create a new column to insert the files names

i have one requirement.
I got around 200 excel files with date as file name like 120101.xls, 120102.xls (YYMMDD).
I am able to loop all the files and insert data but i am unable to load the files names using ssis.
Please can any one help to fix this using script task or any other code..

Your ForEach Loop task must be returning the entire file path, I suppose.
1. Get the file name from your file path.
New variable: FileName

2. Inside Data flow, after Excel source use Dervied Column and use above @FileName
3. At your OLEDB destinition, use MyFileName.

Retreiving the file names from directory inside another directory from application server

Hi,
I had a problem in retreiving the file names from a directory inside another directory.
I tried using the FM's SUBST_GET_FILE_LIST, RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL and EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING
But here I am getting only one directory details.
Actually my file is located a directory inside one more directory and one more directory and inside the files are located.
i.e total 3 directories inside the 3rd one my files are there.
I need to read the latest file name in the directory.
So that i can do some manipulation after getting the file name.
Is there option like OPEN DATASET , READ DATASET and CLOSE DATASET?
Can anyone please let me know How can i acheive this one.

Load all file names in a directory to a SQL Table

I need to load all the file names in a directory to a SQL table. It must be done via TSQL or SSIS. If using TSQL cannot use xp_cmdshell or any undocumented sprocs. So I am guessing it will be SSIS. But still open to suggestions. I am an SSIS newbie and need
a nudge in the right direction of how to get the file names into a SQL table.

Let me add a bit of background. We are sent a group of files. Each file has the ccyymmdd date attached to the name. Possible that we miss processing one day and the next day there are two sets of files in the directory. file1_20140101, file2_20140101,
file1_20140102, file2_20140102. I cannot guarantee what the file names will be. Just know that i need to process the 20140101 files in one batch, and then the 20140102 files in the next batch. So thinking that i could read all the file names into a SQL table,
distinct on the date and then sort by the date and pull off those files to process first. Thinking this will be done in SSIS. Open to any ideas or suggestions.

File-idoc Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical syste

Hi,
Have u checked the logical system is added in the Sender Business service in the Integration Directory?
Open the Buiness Service/System --> EDIT-ADAPTER SPECIFIC IDENTIFIERS
then specify the logical system name.

I have distiller server 8 version we are unable to convert the multiple ps files to pdf.

I have a problem when transfer file to IBM AS400 system. This is the scenarie:
1) PI take the file
2) I have a JavaMapping(change the filename to long 8 with 3)
3) I use "create a temporary file"
4) The file is create in target, but this have the name "XI_FTP_2.TMP"
5) Finally, the receiver comunication channel launch the error : "Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: An error occurred while connecting to the FTP...(the number of FTP server is erased for publicated here) 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unable to do a lookup on the file name specified.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor"
I check the permissions of user, directories and file.
In the log of communication channel the error say :(the number of FTP server is erased for publicated here)
