Unable to create outlook profile manually

Hello,
I have two Exchange 2013 Servers with combined roles with DAG configured. I am not using any cas server load balancer. I created manual entries of AutoDiscover pointing to one of the Exchange server. Now I am able to create Outlook 2013 profile automatically
through AutoDiscover and there is no problem (Even with automatically configuration it is giving strange server name like [email protected])
BUT when I try to create any user profile manually by giving one of the Exchange Server name, It gives me an error message
The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action
Kindly anyone please guide me where is the problem?

yes I set the proxy but in my Outlook connection setting it is showing strange server name

That's by design. Exchange 2013 no longer uses a common name (like a CASArray or common namespace) to connect directly to the mailbox. It now uses the [email protected] to have Outlook connect to the Exchange Server. It will still
use the Outlook Anywhere address to connect to the CAS Server, but the server name will always be that GUID.
The best way to configure the Outlook Profile is to let Autodiscover handle the profile creation. if for what ever reason you can not (really there isn't a compelling reason why), then you need to obtain the ExchangeGUID from Powershell. You
can use:
Get-Mailbox -Identity <username> | fl identity, ExchangeGUID
to get that information. Again, Autodiscover is the easiest and painless way to go.

Unable to Create Customer Profile at Site Level

I am working on R12 Customer Conversions.
As part of this, i am trying to load the customer profile amounts at levels. 1. Account Level 2. Site Level
At Account Level, When ever i create a new account defaultly a new record is creating in hz_customer_profiles for the account_id. And i am passing 'cust_account_profile_id' to the hz_customer_profile_v2pub.create_cust_profile_amt. And able to do create customer profile amounts successfully.
But
At the Site level, when ever i create a new site, its NOT creating a record in HZ_CUSTOMER_PROFILES. If it creates i can have this 'CUST_ACCOUNT_PROFILE_ID' and pass it to the API
but its not doing so.
Could you please tell is there any setup for Creating HZ_CUSTOMER_PROFILES while creating SITE Use.
Please help me in this.

Hi Aush,
There is not specific setup for the same. You might not using the APIs correctly. Did you use hz_cust_account_site_v2pub.create_cust_acct_site API to create site? Once you create the site, you need to defined the site use using api, hz_cust_account_site_v2pub.create_cust_site_use. This Site use api will insert the record into HZ_CUSTOMER_PROFILES for the site record.
Once you create the site use, then you can define the profile amount using hz_customer_profile_v2pub.create_cust_profile_am API. Hope this is helps you.

Create Authorization Profile Manually

Dear Experts,
I want to know the Tcode through which I can create Authorization Profile.
I know that through PFCG we can create a Role and from there we can generate a Profile, But how can i create a profile without creating a Role.
I think this is possible because the Profile : SAP_ALL does not have a role.

It is nothing to do with a SOX consultant unless that person is also a security administrator.

Unable to create Partner Profile in WE20

Hi all,
I am trying to creat a new partner profile in WE20. When I enter the partner # , parnter type and hit SAVE, it gives me an error message saying "please enter permissible number".
Can you please tell me how do I know the correct number range, or is there any other procedure to create a new EDI partner?

Hi,
Partner Number in the partner profile should match the partner number you maintained in the system.
Partner Number for Partner type LF should have a Vendor defined in the system with that number. You can view if vendor exists in transaction "XK03" Display vendor (Centrally).
Partner Number for Partner type KU should have a Customer defined in the system with that number. You can view if vendor exists in transaction "XD03" Display Customer (centrally).
Partner Number for Partner type LS should have an entry in transaction BD54 (Change View "Logical Systems": Overview).
System does a validation check when you try save entry. Make sure you are using valid pertner number.

Unable to create Transfer Order manually for a new Shipping Point

Hi folks
After spending a couple of days investigating what the problem, I am resorting to my last option of posting here. I am hoping one of you can help me here.
Due to a new business requirement, I am having to create a new Shipping Point. We use Lean WH. I have performed the following steps
Created a new shipping point under Logistics Exec
Created a new Shipping Point and assigned it to the plant (under ENT Structure)
Created Shipping Condition
Assign Shipping Point to Shipping Condition
Changed Customer Master Shipping condition to the new SC.
Assigned the storage location for the new Shipping Point and the Plant under SPRO-LE-Shipping-Picking-Determine Picking Location- Assign Picking Location
When I create an Order, a delivery gets created automatically. Now when I try to create a TO in VL06P in the background, I get an error VLA029
WM-TO: 0 deliveries successful, 0 with errors, 1 not relevant
As far as I am concerned, all the steps are completed.
Can someone please throw some light on how to get this fixed.

I have tried several times with {Personal Information Removed}@dhl.com and also been unable with {Personal Information Removed}@aol.com and i get a javascript void message at bottom of page and also now being told that email not available and that screen name jpilbro is already registered - help pls this is waste of my time!

Is this after you registered your account using that email address?

Create fully automated Outlook profile at user first time logon to the windows

Hi experts, I do have one scenario and its quite urgent...
I have one email address, that to be act as a notification email from Outlook.
The thing is we need to have Outlook fully setup with profile and password when an user log in.
I have done the prf and plan to have it fired with VB script when user logon(using windows logon startup script function).
The prf can be successfully fired and its created profile in outlook, however the user credentials logon will be prompted everytime the user log on, and the user will not know the password, except us, email administrator.
This is carried out in ：
- Azure Windows server 2012
- Outlook 2013
- And the user will not access remotely to the server, they will only access to RDP, which we hosted our application.
(And the mentioned application will need to send some notification email to the users.
I hope i have not missed out anything. Anyone please shed some light for this.

Yes. I have setup prf file and not able to store any password in it. Our user will have to type in the password in the prompted windows. The thing is we are not exposing the password to the user. In fact, they are not able to view the windows screen as they
are only connect to RDP application.

Users unable to create or delete folders in migrated public folders using Outlook

We have an Exchange 2013 CU3 environment migrated from Exchange 2007.
The public folder migration was completed over the weekend.
The environment has several public folder mailboxes.
Post migration users are unable to create/delete new sub folders, or modify permissions using Outlook on any of the migrated public folders. Users can however create new top level folders using outlook. They can also create and delete new posts
in migrated public folders.
Admins are able to create folders and set permissions on migrated folders using the EAC.
Test User accounts used for testing are set to use the Primary Hierarchy mailbox as their default public folder mailbox.
Test Users have been given Owner permissions from the root down on the folders we are testing with.
We have tested with Outlook 2010 and 2013 getting the same "Cannot create the folder" error.

Further testing
We moved a top level folder from a secondary PF mailbox to the primary PF mailbox using the New-PublicFolderMoveRequest command in powershell.
After the move completed we could create new folders under the moved top level folder.
The top level folder that was moved had it's own sub-folders that we did not move to the primary mailbox. (We didn't move the whole branch.. Just the top level folder)
We still cannot create or modify the existing sub-folders after moving the top level folder.
We then moved the newly created sub-folder to a secondary PF mailbox.
At that point we could no longer create sub-folders in the folder form outlook.
From what I can tell you can only create new sub-folders in folders homed to the primary PF mailbox when using outlook.
Is this a bug or as designed?
According to this Tech ed presentation Clients connecting to a secondary PF mailbox should have folder changes proxy to the primary PF mailbox.. (See slide 10)

Update : 2-5-2014
Not much new to report other than it appears that users need to be homed to the primary PF mailbox to delete calendar meetings.
Opened a ticket with Premier support.

Premier support continues to look into the issue. No ideas as to the cause yet.

Any update on this issue? If you need further assistance on this issue, please come back and provide more information so that we can understand it more clearly.
If it's an Exchange account, this issue may be caused by several reasons. We may first check if you can login to OWA successfully. You may also contact your Exchange admin to make sure you have correctly configured your Exchange account in Outlook.

Apple TV unable to join network without creating a profile.

I am trying to connect my Apple TV to the WiFi network at my university. There are several networks. When I try to connect to the main network which I connect my laptop to, it says I must create a profile. I followed the steps on the Apple TV support website to create a profile but it was unable to be installed on my Apple TV because of two errors which said that it was unable to activate the profile. When I try to connect to the other two networks, it says that the connection is successful but is unable to set the date or time and is otherwise unable to perform any functions that require internet. I am not able to restore my Apple TV because it says I need to install the latest update first, which requires internet connection. I have tried resetting the Apple TV multiple times.

If the school network requires login via webpage then that will not be possible. You will need to speak to the IT dept in order to get onto the network.

Create palm partnership with outlook profile

I have been going absolutely crazy for three days trying to switch syncing from palm to outlook. I have done so many things. Now, I think the problem is that I need to create a new partnership on my handheld with my outlook profile. I think I messed around so much that the partnership got corrupted - at least that's what I'm picking up from the hotsync report. Then I'll move on to trying to figure out all of the OLERRs. Any advice on how to create a partnership?

Well, it's just that I've been messing with palm support for three days now and they've had me doing so many things, none of which has helped, and the most recent message I'm getting in my hot sync report is that "this handheld is associated with a different outlook profile." I think it's because microsoft had me create a new profile. I don't know, it's all a mess. I've been through all the topics on palm.com and can't seem to find any resolution.

I am running into 'yet another' issue in ERM! This error really has me going in circles because I am able to execute the exact same process in our Sandbox environment with NO PROBLEM... If any of you Guru's can help to point me in the right direction on how to address this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Here's the issue:
 
In our SANDBOX enviroment, the role creation process works as designed (Role Methodology: Definition --> Authorization --> Derivation --> Risk Analysis --> etc.). I'm able to define the role, add t-codes in the Authorization step and even Maintain them in PFCG.
 
However in our DEV environment when I take the same steps and I add t-codes to the role, I get an error when I try to Maintain in PFCG --> Unhandled error; Unable to create role (Please provide a profile name.)
 
The crazy thing is that when I remove the t-codes (to zero) I'm able to Maintain in PFCG!!! I am then able to save the Role 'Shell' in the backend (not adding any t-codes), come back into ERM and add t-codes there and Maintain in PFCG somehow works with the t-codes added now. So it seems as if that connection to the back through PFCG with no t-codes establishes the profile somehow and allows me to finish the process as intended. This is a pain because I will have to take this work around step for every role that I create in Development.
 
In Sandbox however this works as intended and generates a profile at this step after adding the T-codes, thereby allowing me to Maintain in PFCG with no error.
 
The configuration of these 2 boxes is exactly the same and the connections are both working successfully, I'm going crazy trying to figure this out! PLEASE HELP!

I have run the configuration validator for both Sandbox & Dev Environments and received the same results in both. I would like to export the results, but am getting the following error when I select the 'Export' button for both:

Initially I thought that the error was result of the "ERMApplicationRTACheck" failing, however it is failing for both environments with this Reason:

Create a profile where? The iPhone doesn't support profiles. At least not in any context that would fit this question.
It also doesn't have a "help menu".
If your question is about MS Outlook, I suggest you either ask the question in a Microsoft forum, or at least clarify enough information so that your question makes sense.

OUTLOOK PROFILE - UNABLE TO SIGN IN

IN LYNC 2013 THE LOWER PORTION OF THE DIALOG BOX HAS A LINK THAT READS "VIEW MORE IN OUTLOOK"
THE ERROR MESSAGE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:
THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU USED IN YOUR DEFAULT OUTLOOK PROFILE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE SIGN-IN ADDRESS USED IN LYNC. CHANGE YOUR DEFAULT OUTLOOK PROFILE TO MATCH THE SIGN - IN ADDRESS YOU ARE USING IN LYNC, AND THEN SIGN OUT AND SIGN BACK IN TO LYNC.

usually the Lync SIP address and your primary email address are the same. If this is not the case then you need to set the flag to True for the CSClientPolicy -> DisableEmailComparisonCheck
Once that's done and applied to the user in question get the user to log out and bach in again.
