Recently we have upgrade our existing EHP4 to EHP5 in SAP ERP 6.0. now i am running our application some error messages are not displaying .
can u please help.

Hi Friends,
I am working on user exit. I have created a screen for the user to confirm the selection. Based on the user's choice, if yes i have to proceed so i've set screen 0. leave screen. But when they select no i've display an error message and take the control to previous screen(ie., the current screen where i validate )..i'm facing a problem here. I have displayed the error msg. It comes as pop-up. From there how to take the control to previous screen. All other screens are from main program. Only the screen i created is available here.

I am working on user-exit in which I have added new screen to get the confirmation from user. So upon user clicks the option 'NO', I should display an error message and allow them to edit the fields in main program screen. I am not getting how to set control to prev screen (which is only in my main program and not in user exit). So if i give the screen number of main program, it will surely give dump.
Tcode is MB11. In between second and third screen processing my user exit is called. Appreciate your help.

How to display error message as as status message on the screen
The requirement is if I call the screen, it should get with the error message in the status bar. If I write with error message 'E' error mesage information displays and when I click on exit, it leave the current transaction.
if i display success message and use display like 'E' it display the error message but if i save it save the transaction.
i cannot use leave to screen also because of subscreen. if i use leave to screen system display set screen not allowed in subscreen.
so i want to stop the processing or do not allow the transaction to complete on the message.

LEAVE TO SCREEN XXXX.
After displaying the information message like E, leave to the screen you want to navigate or can also navigate to the transaction required.

Display error message from SLG1 on shopping cart screen

I have implemented a 'BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER' badi. I am adding all the custom error messages in ET_SC_MESSAGES export parameter of this badi. As a result of this, all the custom error messages added in the above parameter, gets logged in the application log SLG1 automatically and I can see those custom messages in SLG1. Now how to display this message from SLG1 on the shopping cart screen on the top where you normally see standard error messages in red.
Can anyone please help me on this?

Which SRM version are you using ?
I have not tried this... but I think this is not possible to display error messages
using BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI.

I have a BDC program to upload data from an excel sheet. I could see that some records of data fail to pass and hence after my bdc run i would like to display error message for the failed records as follows:

Prb display error message while creating PR at ME51n in ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST

I have this requirement to check the cost center availability in PR screen (ME51n).
If cost center in the Account assignment tab is not empty, display error message and not able to create the PR.

Hi,
You have to use definition MMPUR_MESSAGE 'E' ME 303 text-001 w_account_ref-kostl text-002.
This will throw the error during check and save instead of message e303(me) .

How to dispaly error message in report?
i have to check the range bewteen two days and if it is not in range have to display error message only once.
next time if i press the execute button report will get executed without showing the warning message.
i am calculating the days between two dates, i am displaying the error message but if i press the execute button i will not allow me to execute the report.it again shows me the error message.i have to skip this in 2nd time.
can any one suggest what to do with this?

And i have to check the difference between two dates in select option input box( low-value and high-value). if it is greater then suppose 10 then i have to display warning message at once and then if click on execute button , the report should get executed without showing any warning messages in report.

How to display error message in Shopping Cart?

How to display error message in Shopping Cart and stop the shopping cart for further processing? I try MESSAGE w001(zshop) or MESSAGE e001(zshop). But it is causing run-time error.

In the DOC_CHECK or DOC_SAVE BADI, you have a global internal table named et_messages. The structure of this table is 'bbp_smessages_badi'. You can append your error message here by inputting the message type, ID and number. The message type is either 'E' for error or 'W' for warning and the number would depend on your message class(ID). You will be able to see the error message on top of the screen, can be a red or yellow highlight depending on your appended message. I don't think creating the error message via the MESSAGE syntax will be successful, maybe this is why you are getting a runtime error.

Display error message in Campaigns - Planning profile templates

Hi experts,
I am facing an issue while trying to display error message in plannign profile template for campaigns.
Issue is that even though i am able to add the error message to the parent campaign message container, it is not being displayed on the UI screen message area(refresh is not happening) until the next screen refresh happens through another event like change of planning profile drop down / f2 pop up being closed on the message area etc.
I need to display the error message as soon as it gets added in the global message container.Is there any way that i can refresh the UI from this method which would display my error message? I think round trip might work here
I am tryign to add the message in the method IF_FLEX_DATA_PROVIDER~MODIFY_DATA of component KFPED_LAYOUT .
But it doesn't get reflected in the message area.
Appreciate a lot if anybody can help me out here.

Dsiaplaying faces error messages, retaining screen details

When i try to display faces error messages my page is getting reloaded again and hence im losing my details selected in the screen, how do i display error messages by retaining the screen selection details, the page uses reference data which also gets loaded when it refreshes for displaying error message, i dont want this to happen also, I just want to retain the screen details..

I am not sure why you would be loosing information. Make sure that you do not immediate=true set on the command button or link that you are using to submit the form. As far as display an error message you can do the following
FacesMessage.SERVERITY_ERROR display an error message in red

Display error message in batch job log

Hello
I have a batch job running and I have an error coming during some validation logic.
The problem is I need to continue the batch job when this error message comes and it should not cancel the batch job as it is doing currently but display that error message in batch job log, there are more similar error messages coming in job log and job gets finished, but when my error message comes job gets cancelled.
I cannot give it as info message as it will give wrong idea about message type.
Is there any FM by which we can add message in job log?

If you see in screenshot 3rd message is given by me as information and you can see error messages also 6th and 7th and job continued till it is finished
Basically I want that 'I' to be displayed as 'E'.

Dear all,
I am looking forward to display a set of error messages(in a internal table) during the execution of the program to the user.
I wanted to know the better way of displaying error messages from my program with more options.
Well I tried out using displaying errors as ALV list/Grid or as simple list processing.
But I found some stanadard transactions (Like in MM and FI where errors are shown in a better way, but failed to find out how they are done.
Please guide me.

I am filling an internal table in OnInputProcessing on some event with all the error messages to be displayed.
Table sould have two columns
1)Graphic depending on error type.
2)Error message.
