Unable to edit First no in Numbering series

Hello Experts
One of my client has entered data in Purchase Order for first time .
First PO in the database .
But unfortunately numbering series wasn't set , and by default general document numbering had 25 as its next no for PO.
And user added the document with out checking the Document Number.
Then tried to edit the " First No " in numbering series , but it is not allowing me to edit that coloumn.
I was trying to edit because , as  the user started from 25.i would like to make the first no as 25.then that particular series will be closed .
Is there any work around so that i can edit the first no . or any other work around that i can get rid of this scenario.
Regards
Krishna Vamsi

Hi Krishna,
I have a solution to your issue. Navigate into Administration --> Systerm initialisation --> Document Numbering double click on the purcahse order series # --> Series -Purchase order- setup.
Change the Period indicator from the existing row default and define a newname and flag (tick) the LOCK checkbox and then create a new line by right clicking and add row with the required First No.,  set the period indicator to Default and set the new line "set as default".
The PO will start with the new numbering series.

  • 4002 - first define the numbering series in the administration module

    Hi all,
I have created the User tables and object type as Document and Document Rows.
While adding the records thru DI API objects using SAPbobsCOM.UserTable i am getting error like
4002 - "first define the numbering series in the administration module".
Is it possible to add the Document and Document rows tables or Master Data and Master Data rows tables thru DI API objects.
    Please confirm.
    Regards,
    Benjamin Rosary.B

As far as I know this is not possible. You can't add to a table that is not of type "No Object" using the DI API.

  • Error in Opening Document - error messgae as "First Define Numbering Series

    Dear All
With new financial year starting one of our customer define new posting periods (12 periods for each month) and assigned one period indicator for all the periods. They also defined some user groups and assigned this groups to document numbering series for that user. Now while opening the document (e.g. Sales Order) for that user system displays the following message:
"To generate this document, first define the numbering series in the Administration module"
Therefore user can not open the document. Same procedure was followed in previous period also without any error.
Please suggest procedure to be followed.
    Thanks & with regards

  • Charts - unable to edit series order

When I select a chart created from a simple table, and then try to edit the values in the "series" tab, I cannot as the fields are disabled. I also cannot alter the series order as the drop-down box is also disabled. Why is this?

Some features are available for given kinds of charts, some aren't.
It would be a good idea to download *_Numbers User Guide_* (and *_iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide_*) thru the Help menu.
Chapter 7 of the first one is dedicated to charts.

  • Document Numberring Series Prb.

    Hi Experts,
When adding A/P Invoice or A/P Credit Memo error occures as to generate this document, first define document series in Administration Module.
I checked Posting Period Indigator it's set on Default and status is unlocked.
Checked also Numbering series It's on default.
When I go randomly on form I can able to open it but at the time of adding document it's giving error.
What could be the reason for that?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ravi

    HI
You have to provide normal authorisation to that user.
    Administration->System initialisation-> Authorisation->General.
In that select the appropriate user and you provide authorisation for Administration->system initialisation->Numbering series.
and assign the correct group for the authorisation...
Thats it...it will solve ur problem

  • User unable to edit contacts

I have a user with Outlook 2013 connected to an 2010 Exchange Server. I have a user that is unable to edit any existing contact, getting an error: Your changes cannot be saved because you don't have permission to modify some or all of the items in this folder.
Do you want to save a copy of this item in the default folder for the item?
I have checked the permissions on the mailbox folder as well as the Contacts folder. The user has "Owner" permission to these folders.
No other users report the problem, and loading the users account on another computer demonstrates the same problem.
Any ideas what I am missing?

    Hi,
The error indicates that the issue is related to permission. I recommend you use the Get-MailboxPermission -Identity xxx |fl cmdlet to check if the permission is right. What's more, please check if OWA has the same issue.
If the issue persists, I recommend you remove the owner permission at first. Secondly, use the following cmdlet to add the owner permission and check the result.
    Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "xxx" -Owner "xxx"
    Hope it helps.

  • Unable to edit

I am a complete novice to Dreamweaver so please bear with me.
I am trying to edit some pages (.php files) for my employer. I was
able to edit the index.php file but none of the others. All of the
html code is greyed out except certain areas and unfortunately, the
part I need to change is greyed out. I am completely unable to edit
any of the greyed areas. I've looked all over to see if there's a
way to unlock the code but I can't see anything. Does anyone have
    any suggestions?

If you do not have the associated Template file, it *MAY* be
    a trivial
matter to recreate it. We would need to see the code on the
    page to know
    whether that's possible, though.

  • Unable to edit Hosts file in Win7 Home Prem 64bit.

Clean install.  Administrator account.  Unable to edit the permissions of the hosts file. There is one in the drivers\etc file, which I cannot edit. There is supposed to be one in %systemroot% \SysWOW64\drivers\etc   but there is no etc folder in the drivers folder.
Turned off DNS Server. gpedit.msc not found when calling it in "run".  This is the first time I've used 64bit anything, so a bit of a newb in that respect.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
As you would know, some of the Windows 7 users can’t save the host file how they like it. The host file itself will simply vanish what the user had done with it.
In my scenario, I was unable to fix this even after all the instructions provided in above posts. Hence, I have come up with my own idea and luckily it
    worked.<o:p></o:p>
For those users who experience this problem, here are the instructions to fix it.
First of all, you should have the administrative privileges to edit the host file. In normal case, if an admin user directly go to the host file in system 32 and add his preferences
and then save it, it should keep the changes. However, in some wicked scenarios, it will not. I had done a detailed research on this through all the available online forums and even contacted Microsoft several times with no luck.
So, here you go with a correct solution for this problem.
Note: If you are not comfortable with Windows OS and don’t know what you are doing, this process can mess up things.
Hence, do not attempt if you are not 100% sure you can make it.
    Login to an administrator account.
In the run command (Windows key + R) type, “control folders” and hit enter.
Click on the tab called view.
Select the radio button for Show hidden files, folders and drivers –ON.
Uncheck the ‘Hide extension for known file types-ON
Click on Apply and then OK.
Type “drivers” in run command and hit enter. It will take you to where the folder “drivers” located in System 32.
From the “drivers” folder, double click the folder named “etc.”
Now you can see the “host” file along with others.
Now, in the search area in start menu, type “notepad.exe” and open the notepad.exe as administrator. (In order to do this, you can right click on the notepad.exe shown and select
“Run as Administrator.” If UAC prompted, click YES/OK)
Now, you will have a notepad open with administrative privileges.
At the top left side of the notepad click on “file” and then select “Open.”
A box will appear which will allow you select the file to open. Carefully, navigate to the location where the “host” file is located. To do that, select the drive where you
installed Windows. If you have the Windows installed in C: select ‘Local Disk (C :)’ > Windows > System 32 > drivers > etc. At this point, you might not have another option to proceed or select from. The window would be empty. To proceed further,
select the option “All files” from the drop down menu which is located above the “Open” and “Cancel” button. You can now see all the files located in etc folder.
Select “hosts” from the menu and click on “Open.” Note: You can either click on open or double click on the file.
Now, you will have the host file information open in the notepad which you had already initiated before with administrative privileges.
Make whatever changes you as you wish. (Example: If you need to block a web site called
    www.block123.com you can type 127.0.0.1
www.block123.com right under the local hosts.
Make sure you do not change any other letters or characters which are already saved in host file.
This will completely mess up your computer. For more information on the information about host file, refer the Microsoft web site:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 . If you
have accidently delete/edit anything from host file, please delete the complete information stored in host file and copy and paste the host file information from Microsoft which is appropriate for your Operating System.)
Click on “file” again and select “Save as” and save it in etc. If the path is showing correct to etc folder, save it to etc. If it is navigated to somewhere else, follow the
instructions provided above and select etc folder and then save it.
Now, go back to the actual host file location which is in System32 > Drivers > etc (You would have it already open if you had followed the instructions just like the way
    I have provided)
There you can see 2 host files. One which has already been there and the other one you just saved.
Among the two, one is called “hosts” and the ‘type’ would be ‘file.’ This is the original host file. The other which you have just saved will be named as “hosts.txt” with the
    file type as ‘Text Document.’
Right click on the original host file and select rename. You can even click on that file and press F2. This will enable the option to rename the file. Rename the original host
file as “hostold” and hit enter.
Now, select the second host file which we have saved as a text document and rename it as “hosts.” Make sure that you DELETE the .txt file extension in order to change the type
“Text Document” to “File” and hit enter.
Now, you have successfully saved the host file with your preferences.
You can now delete the file which we renamed as “hostold.”
We are done. You would need to do this process all over if you need to edit the host file again. I know it is difficult, however, it is our own requirement and we have to invest
    few minutes on this.
Enjoy your computer with a great feeling that you have finally edited the host file as per your wish and take it from here. Wish you luck.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Unable to edit info in itunes????

    Hi,
I have recently got a new PC, and I am having problems with itunes.
    Here is the details:
The hard drive which contains itunes music folder has been put into the new PC has a secondary drive.
I added folder within itunes and all my music is now there.
I am now unable to edit any of the information within itunes.
I right click on a track and select get info, and where I used to be able to edit artist name, track name etc is now just greyed out and I am unable to edit.
Can anyone please help with this
    Cheers
    Steve

The solution may be as simple as making sure the files have not become read-only during the xfer to the other drive. It happens sometimes when files go from DVD to hard drive or hard drive to network drive. Right-click a file, choose Properties, and remove any checkmark next to "Read-only." You can remove the checkmark from multiple files by selecting them all first, then right-clicking, choosing Properties, and clearing the "Read-only" box.

  • I am unable to edit information I have typed into a spacebar, this includes backspace, and when I highlight it, even after reloading the page

I recently upgraded to Firefox 4 on my 3 yr old Macbook, though I am unsure if this is in fact connected. Now I am often unable to edit information I have typed into a search bar or text box (such as this one) even after reloading that page or pressing first the back, then the forward buttons. Has anyone else run into this, and does anyone know what is going on?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

    Hello,
We have a series of quick polls assigned to individual campaigns and all are 'ongoing'.  These are then assigned to KM IViews and assigned to users via roles etc.
Last week we were able to edit the quick poll, editing the text, participants etc but for some reason we are now unable to.
I've logged in as administrator and checked permissions etc but still unable to edit.
There are no locks pending in the portal.
any idea what the issue could be?
    thanks

    Hi ezadler,
Did this issue only haapen to this one particular list?
Please check if there are more related ULS logs in 15 hive.
And also try saving this library as a template and create a new libarary based on it, then check if issue still exists, then change the "multiple lines of text" type

  • Document Numbering Series and Query Generator

    Hi Experts!
    I have a query with a Query!
I have more than one numbering series, say one document series is YYY and the other document series is ZZZ.  YYY is for posting period 2009 Sales Order document numbers 1, 2 - 10.  ZZZ is for posting period 2010 Sales Order documents 1, 2 -10.
When I go to Sales Orders and click the 'Find' icon and search for Sales Order Number 3, SBO gives me the option to choose either Sales Order document 3 for the YYY series, or Sales Order document 3 for the ZZZ series.
I make a Query which includes Sales Order DocNumber and has the Posting Period as a variable so either 2009 or 2010 has to be chosen prior to executing the query.
I chose to run the Query for ZZZ, so I should expect all data relating to 2010 to be shown.
My query results show document number 3 with a Doc Posting Date of 2010, but when I click on the Document Orange Navigation Arrow the actual document is Sales Order 3 but for Document Numbering Series YYY, and therefore is for 2009.  But I need it to be for document numbering series ZZZ.
It seems SBO is returning the first record it finds, which is for the older series.
    Can you help me please?
    Many thanks!!

  • Captivate 4-Unable to Edit or Save a Project

    Hi,
I am creating a CBT using Captivate 4. There are two slides so far and the size of the project is 1,901 kb. One slide in the project has six click boxes with multiple actions and has five animations included in it which are hidden until the user clicks a click box. The concept works wonderfully, however, I am now unable to edit or save the project. I cannot finish it at this point. Captivate will not allow me to add any additional buttons, click boxes, highlight boxes, new slides and so on. It also will not allow me to delete any unused items from the library, or save the edits I made up to that point.
I have tried the following, closing the project, closing Captivate and restarting my computer. I have also imported the slides into a new project with the same outcome. I have copied and pasted the slides into a new project with the same outcome. I have also tried to do a save as and it will not allow that either. There are no error messages. The project is not save on the network, it is on my C:Drive. I have had to restart the project several times and has this happened with each project. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Wendy

click on the folder containing all these documents and do the following:
Right click on the folder, then select "Get Info"
Click the lock at the bottom to give yourself access to the permissions settings for this folder.  A dialog will appear so you can enter your login name and password:
Now select your user name at the bottom (mine is wayne), set the read write permissions to "Read & Write" using the pop-up menu, then click the sprocket at the very bottom of the window and select "Apply to enclosed items..." from the pop-up menu.  The click the lock again.
Now try to open your Numbers documents
