Hello Ervin,
Wanted to let folks know that your solution helped me as well.  We are running NetWeaver 7.4 SPS07 and just moved our Portal database from MS SQL Server 2008 to a new database server running MS SQL Server 2012.  After the move, none of our ESS applications worked and we were seeing JCo connection errors.  I manually added our JCo Destinations in the local SLD, which did not solve anything.  Afterward, here is an excerpt of the ESS errors we saw:

After that, I could not access Web Dynpro Content Administration (/webdynpro/welcome/) > Create JCo Destination or Maintain JCo Destinations. I received the error:

END LOG EXCERPT
After reading your reply I decided to log on to the local SLD and delete all of the JCo Destinations that I had created in the SLD.  I was then able to successfully get to Web Dynpro Content Administration > Maintain JCo Destinations.  I then manually created all of the JCo Destinations in Web Dynpro Content Administration and our ESS problems were resolved.
Thanks for your help!

  • Editing Site Settings Gives "Unable to process your request"

    Hi,
     I get "unable to process your request" when trying to edit the FIM portal site settings. I'm using my domain admin account I installed FIM under, which is also a SharePoint administrator. I'm trying to edit some basic UI details.
    I've installed FIM 2010 R2 SP1 on SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SQL 2008 R2. I tried logging into the FIM portal with the fim service account, but this still gives the same error when editing site settings. I'm using separate servers for the fim portal,
    fim service DB and fim sync server (all have their firewalls turned off).
    Advice on how to resolve this is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thanks Tomek,
    Managed to get this working - I missed out the alternate access mappings on SharePoint 80. Simply adding the internal and internet URLs worked :-)

  • I am unable to edit an image in Photoshop.

    I just installed Lightroom 5.3, and I have Photoshop CS5.1 installed. The problem is that I am unable to edit an image in Photoshop. When I click Photo>Edit In, the option for Photoshop is not active (i.e., it's not black), so I can't click on it. Why are the options for Photoshop and all of the other Photoshop related options, such as Merge to Panorama, etc., not active? In Preferences I have the following settings: File Format = TIFF; Color Space = ProPhotoRGB; Bit Depth = 16 bits; Resolution = 240; Compression = None. I am using Windows 7.

    Chris:
    I have to apologize for being misleading on my request for help in
    resolving the problem.
    Actually the version I am using is CS2 not CS3.
    Yesterday I tried numerous times, and ways, to edit an image and each time
    it refused to allow me to save it.
    The software program just shut down. This evening when I decided to give it
    another try it worked perfect.
    Guess the program just took the day off.
    Thank you for offering to help

  • Unable to edit document using "Edit with Word" option

    Hi All,
    i am having an issue with Office web apps. i am using SharePoint 2013 and Office web apps 2013. all the configurations have been done successfully. but i have a different kind of issue.
    i am able to open documents in browser
    i am able to edit document using " edit with word/excel web" option
    but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
    i have Office 2010 installed on my local machine.
    do we need to have MS office of 2013 version? or is there anything missing from configuration part.
    Please help me.
    Thank You,
    Bhaskar.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you could not use the "edit with word/excel" option.
    I had tested the issue with the Office 2010, the option worked well.
    You don’t need to install the Office 2013 to use this option.
    What did you mean “but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
    Did you mean the option gray out? Did the issue occur in other browsers?
    You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
    Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
    You can also add the site into Trusted sites.
    Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
    What's more, you can also use other browsers to check whether it works, such as Firefox, Chrome.
    Thanks & Regards,

    But we are facing the following problem.
    i) Unable to edit the form data for entering/changing the contents of the fields in PDF document,  which is presented to user with a Web Dynpro application URL.
    We have already unset the 'ReadOnly' property of the interactive UI element.

  • Unable to edit Today tab in Notifications

    My wife and I just received the iPhone6 (verizon). Both of us are unable to edit the Today tab in Notifications.  There is no edit button to remove notifications or widgets.  When you go to Notifications under settings, there is no "Today" section to edit.
    Specifically, we would like to remove Stock quotes from the today tab.  But, the Stocks app is not listed to even be able to edit.
    For some reason, the Stock quotes show on my wife's phone under the Today tab, but not on mine.
    Any assistance appreciated.

    Hi there mwlevey,
    I see that you have some questions about the Today tab in your Notifications center. I have a link that should be able to explain how to accomplish the goal you have stated in your post:
    Notification Center - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/8/#/iph6534c01bc
    Set Today options. To choose what information appears, tap the Edit key at the end of your information on the Today tab. Tap + or — to add or remove information. To arrange the order of your information, touch ,then drag it to a new position.
    Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

  • Unable to edit page source in CS3

    For some reason I am unable to edit page source in an
    external application in CS3. I can't figure out why I used to be
    able to, and now i can't. please advise

    If you want to open the source code in an editor of your choice you can change two hidden settings.
    Type '''about:config''' into the location bar. Accept the warning message that pops up, this brings up a lot of settings. You then need to change 2 of the settings that appear, for details on the 2 settings see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/View_source.editor.external view_source.editor.external] and [http://kb.mozillazine.org/View_source.editor.path View_source.editor.path]
    You can also change those 2 settings by using an add-on such as [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/394/ Dafizilla ViewSourceWith]

    Hi SidduSekhar,
    Based on your description, I need to verify the things below:
    Which browser did you use? Did this issue occur with all the browsers?

  • Unable to edit div in cs 3

    http://mnbuildsmart.org/directory.html
    there is a div un Build smart directory.
    In dreamweaver 8 and cs 3 I am able to edit this dive In CS 3
    (Contibute 4.1) the whole div does not show up, and we are unable
    to edit. This is for a customer of mine and they are looking at buy
    one or more copies of Contribute and then pay me for web work. I am
    highly motivated to get this solved.
    Attached is the code and the stylesheet. the contentleftdir
    is the div I am concerned about. The style sheet passes validation
    John

    I tested your source code in Contribute CS3, and the div
    seems to be editable after doubleclicking it. This is caused by the
    combination of Contribute handeling css and the settings for
    contentLeftDir, more specific the height setting and overflow. When
    you remove these, the div can be edited normally.
    #contentLeftDir {
    width: 318px;
    padding: 30px;
    float: left;
    height: 525px;
    overflow:auto;
    Maybe you can solve this issue by placing two editable
    regions inside of each of your placement divs (contentLeftDir and
    contentRightDir) instead of placing the divs inside one editable
    region.
    Or you can tell the client to double click the div of
    course.

  • After iPhoto update some photos go black when trying to edit them and am unable to edit those photos

    After iPhoto update some photos go black when trying to edit them and am unable to edit those photos. How do I fix this as this is the latest update?

    If I hold down the Option key while launching iPhoto, I get the option to start a new library. Do I have to import all my thousands of photos into the new library?
    In his original post the poster referenced the following. As to the new Library, see the end.
    There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
    1. *Permissions in the Library* : Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
    2. *Minor Database corruption*: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
    3. *A Damaged Photo*: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
    4. *A corrupted iPhoto Cache*: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
    5. *A corrupted preference file*: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    *If none of these help*:
    As a Test:
    Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
    Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • 11.2.3a - Unable to edit exsisting xp user policies

    Maybe I could get some help here. I am currently unable to edit XP group user policies from my zenworks 11.2.3a zone. All policies were "minted" uner the 11.2.2 version. I was able to edit policies no problem before the 11.2.3a Update. All machines have the 11.2.3a Group Policy helper activeX control installed on them (Fresh images not upgrades). Here are the problems I am having
    1. When the group policy editor opens, all my policies are set to "Not Configured", even though these are active working policies with many items configured
    2. Once in a ten or so tries, the group policy editor opens the ADM's correctly. I am able to configure the needed settings. The group Policy editor closes and echoes back theat the "Settings were successfully imported". The problem here is that the "upload button" stays dimmed out and I am unable to uplaed the configured policy.
    Not really to sure what is going on.

    I've seen something like this in earlier versions as well - in my case
    it was the version of the browser I used and the security settings of
    this. What browser do you use?
    Do you see the same if you use the ZCC from antoher server?
