    can I use javascript to generate the loginname form first name (first Int) and last name???
    For ex... First name: John
                 middle int: k
                 last Name: Doe
                LoginName: jdoe
    var LoginName = getField("LastName").value;
             var FirstName = getField("FirstName").value;

             event.value = LoginName;
    not sure if this is right... please help

    You guys are both using Acrobat JS notation so you're not going to have much luck.
    In LC there's no getField or event.value and values are returned from fields using fieldName.rawValue (or .formattedValue).
    I put this on the Calculate event of the LoginName field:
    var vFirstName = FirstName.rawValue;
    var vLastName = LastName.rawValue;
    if (!(FirstName.isNull || LastName.isNull)) { // if both fields have data
    this.rawValue = vFirstName.substring(0,1) + vLastName;

  • Unable to generate users.xml file

    Hi All,
    I have installed OCS 10.1.2.0.0.and applied the cumulative patchset and now on OCS 10.1.2.3.0
    Now i am trying to migrate users and their mail box from exchange 5.5 running on Windows NT 4 server.
    I have installed the esmigration tool on a machine running Windows XP SP2, Outlook 2003 client installed. I ran the tool and successfully created the system profile. Once done when i try extract users which should generate a users.xml file, i get an error saying "Unable to generate users.xml" file. When i look at the log file i can see the error which says invalid domain which is not true. The domain name is right and i have repeated the process more than 10 times, but still keep getting the same error. I tried using IMPA to IMAP as well as with MBOX , but still the same error. Has anyone seen such a behavior ?
    So i tried to choose plan B. As i do not have too many users i decided to export the users mail box as a pst file and then import it. This is not a problem, but what i do not know is that what do i need to do to enable coexistence mode on exchange, meaning when an email arrives, it first goes to exchange and then forwards a copy to OCS.Please note on my research i have found some notes on how to do this on exchange 2000 on a windows 2000 server with AD, but i couldn't find anything for Exchange 5.5 on NT4.
    Any assistance on this would be very helpful.
    Regards,
    Dipak

    Hi Dipak,
    If you do the migration from the Windows 2000 machine with outlook 2000 installed, and connected to Exchange 5.5 via an admin profile, then you will not see this issue.
    In case, it is not possible for you to move to new machine where above said environment exists, then you can request for a patch of migration tool that has fix for this issue. Please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected], for the fixed version.
    For your co-existence query: Please make use of alternate-recipient setup that exists on exchange 5.5 user properties. So, the emails will be routed to both exchange, and ocs server mailboxes of that user.
    If you have any further queries please send an email to [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Venkat

  • ILM generates partitions with names longer than 30 characters

    Hi ,
    I am not sure if there is a team that supports ILM, as I understand maybe you can help me on this forum.
    When scanning for events on the Lifecycle Events Calendar tab, we hit ORA-12899: value too large for column
    Double checking we see that the error is legitimate, as the partition name which is the column that generates this error, is 35 characters long. Oracle documentation strictly limits the column names to 30 chars.
    Hence, I need to see who creates these partitions in order to see how can I reproduce the issue and maybe opening a new bug.
    Does ILM creates the partitions and controls the partition name length?
    Any ideas on how to progress this?

    Open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and run the following after putting that window in the front in the Finder:
    tell application "Finder"
    set the_files to {}
    repeat with this_file in (get every file of entire contents of (folder of window 1))
    if (count (get name of this_file)) > 30 then
    set the_files to the_files & (this_file as alias)
    end if
    end repeat
    end tell

  • Generating item names when user provides # of items

    Ok I have a problem here where I have to take a number from the user and generate that many items. Only thing is I don't know how to generate the names of these items. I tried using an array but I think the problem prefers the items remain separate.
    Here is what I have working without arrays :
    System.out.println("Please enter the number of boxes : ");
    Scanner scan = new Scanner(System.in);
    int userChoice = scan.nextInt();
    for (int i=0;i<userChoice;i++)
    System.out.println(new Box());That will just print the box's toString but doesn't name them. I have been able to put them into arrays and go through the array but I need to do things and present it in a way that requires them to remain separate. Any help would be appreciated...this is just a small part of a larger problem.

    Here's the full problem....
    Suppose that you have a number of boxes, each of which can hold total
    weight 10 and items i1, i2, i3, ?, iN, which weight w1, w2, ?, wN, respectively. The objective is to pack all the items using as few boxes as possible, without placing more weight in any box than its capacity. For instance, if the items have weights 4, 4, 6, and 6, you can solve the problem with two boxes. This problem is difficult, and no efficient algorithm is known. Several strategies give good, but not optimal, packings.
    Write a program with name Packing.java to implement the following three
    approximation strategies:
    ? Scan the items in the order given; place each new item in the most-filled box that
    can accept it without overflowing. Use a Priority Queue to determine the box that
    an item goes in.
    ? Sort the items, placing the lightest item first; then use the strategy above for the
    rest items (from lightest to heaviest).
    ? Sort the items, placing the heaviest item first; then use the strategy above for the
    rest items (from heaviest to lightest).
    Hints:
    ? Use java.util.PriorityQueueI've created a box class and an item class that I think has everything I need. I tried working with arrays to do what the problem asks but I couldn't get it to print right.
    example :
    ?--- Now, packing items FIFO ---
    The following boxes are filled:
    (Box 0, remaining capacity = 0): (Item 0, weight = 6)
    (Item 1, weight = 3) (Item 7, weight = 1)
    (Box 2, remaining capacity = 2): (Item 3, weight = 8)
    (Box 3, remaining capacity = 3): (Item 2, weight = 4)
    (Item 4, weight = 3)
    (Box 1, remaining capacity = 5): (Item 5, weight = 5)
    Don't have enough boxes for the following items:
    (Item 6, weight = 6)hope this helps.

  • Partition Name in Select and Group-By

    Is there a function that returns the partition name a row is stored in? I'd like to use it in a SELECT statement, if it exists.
    The goal is to get row counts per partition to determine skew on a hash-based partition (otherwise, I'd just select and group-by the partition key). I want to do something like this:
    SELECT PARTITION_NAME, COUNT(*) as PER_PART_COUNT
      FROM SOMETABLE
    GROUP BY PARTITION_NAME;Obviously, I would replace the string "*PARTITION_NAME*" with whatever function returns that value.
    NOTE: Before the forum sharks jump all over me, I did search the documentation and forums, but I came up empty handed.

    Hi,
    This is hokey - but you can use the undocumented function "tbl$or$idx$part$num" like so:
    SELECT   atp.partition_name
           , COUNT (*) AS count_rows
        FROM all_tab_partitions atp
           , (SELECT tbl$or$idx$part$num ("SCOTT"."TAB1"
                                        , 0
                                        , 1
                                        , 0
                                        , partition_col1 -- your 1st partition key column
                                        , partition_col2 -- your 2nd partition key column
                                         ) AS part_num
                   , 'TAB1' AS table_name
                   , 'SCOTT' AS owner
                FROM scott.tab1) pt
       WHERE atp.table_name = pt.table_name
         AND atp.table_owner = pt.owner
         AND atp.partition_position = pt.part_num
    GROUP BY atp.partition_name;Note - this probably won't perform well at all... but it could be an option...

    ... On 2nd thought - don't do it - it seems it is pretty unstable - brought my session to a halt a couple of times... Forget I mentioned it :)
    ... On 3rd thought - if you add ROWNUM - it works fine - seems you need to materialize the result set in the inner query - like so:
    CREATE TABLE part_tab (part_key int
                         , a int
    partition by range (part_key)
    (partition p1 values less than (100)
    ,partition p2 values less than (200)
    ,partition p3 values less than (maxvalue)
    insert into part_tab
    select rownum
         , rownum
    FROM all_objects
    where rownum <= 1000; SELECT atp.partition_name
         , COUNT(*) AS count_rows
    FROM all_tab_partitions atp
       , (SELECT TBL$OR$IDX$PART$NUM("PART_TAB", 0, 1, 0, part_key) AS part_num
               , 'PART_TAB' AS table_name
               , user AS owner
               , ROWNUM AS rn -- Materialize the result set by adding ROWNUM...
          FROM part_tab) pt
    WHERE atp.table_name = pt.table_name
      AND atp.table_owner = pt.owner
      AND atp.partition_position = pt.part_num
    GROUP BY atp.partition_name;

    Rajesh,
    your URLs are not viewable for most of the forum users, as they are in the Oracle Intranet. Better you use the internal help list for this question.

  • OIM 11g R1 - Generate Common Name

    Hello,
    if i create a new user in OIM the common name will be greate with <firstnam> <lastname>.
    Instead of a "blank" i need a "." between <firstnam> <lastname>. The common name should looks loke <firstnam>.<lastname>
    How do i edit this settings?

    write your own event handler to generate the commn name as per ur loggic.
    also check the system property  CommonNameg eneration plugin (XL.DefaultCommonNamePolicyImpl) , if you can find any clue there.

  • Can we save the printing preference of FR reporting per report per user?

    We are using Hyperion Planning and Financial Reporting version 11.1.1.1. Some of our users will generate PDF for printing (HTML format is badly printed out).
    However can we have the option to save the printing preference of each FR report? As some reports are in portrait and some are in landscape format, it is preferred users can setup the printing preference per user per report so that they can choose the paper size and printing orientation.
    Thanks in advance!

    OK; should this be submitted to http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/?
    I'm unsure about the best setup for this, but here is some brainstorming:
    - In Workgroup Manager or Directory, an administrator can designate a user to 'auto-accept' invitations if the user is available at that time.
    - Ideally, one would be able to establish an ACL for auto-acceptance, so that a user or admin could designate a list of users/groups from whom a user should auto-accept invites.
    - If a user is set to auto-accept, it is reasonable to assume that this user is either unable to use iCal or does not regularly check their calendar, so invites that are not auto-accepted should be handled somehow. For example, a notification could be e-mailed to the user, an invitation accept/decline message could be sent to the iCal account of a designated administrator or delegate, etc.
    I am imagining this for the case of my division, in which we have one person scheduling for lots of people, but I think that the idea of being able to delegate a person to be able to add things to one's calendar without confirmation and to confirm invites from non-privileged users would be useful in other cases as well. For example, a boss wants an administrator/secretary to be able to schedule things on his/her calendar, but does not want this person to be able to see all of the details of existing items on that calendar. I suppose that in this case it would be unclear to which calendar the designate should add the event initially, but I'm sure that for many people the privacy of the boss's calendar is more important than the inconvenience of having to create a throwaway calendar for events created by the delegate.
    If anyone has any thoughts to help refine this, please let me know and I will incorporate that into my writeup.
    Thanks,
    Greg

  • Mail Per User Quotas Not Working

    We just migrated from 10.9 server to the new 10.10 server and noticed that our per user mail quotas were no longer working.  If I change the Server app - Mail setting - to have a global mail quota on it work, however, we have a few accounts that we need to leave unlimited and the per user quota will not override the global quota.  So far we have had to leave the global quota disabled because of this.
    Even without global quota turned off - trying to set per user mail limits is still not working.  We are changing it thru the Server app and clicking users - selecting a user - then select edit mail options - and changing the setting for the limit size.  No matter what we set it to - it will not work.
    Does anyone know what command or how to change the per user quota limits from the command line?  I found that Dovecotadm quota -u username  shows you what the quota is, but I am stumped as how to change it via a command line or thru another method since the server app is not working.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    ps. Also posted my doveconf -n file below, but I am missing if there is anything not configured properly.

    I guess the problem didn't resolve itself, rather it has revealed that it is intermittent (my favorite kind).
    What could made a message sent to a legitimate alias username not get picked up during the imap connection. I know the smtp server accepted the message (see logs above).
