Unable to hit URL's on my local network.

I'm currently unable to hit websites residing in my test environment. Security is tight and there is no way to open the proxy / FW to allow an external service to hit our test network.
Is there a way I can download or buy BrowserLab so I may install this locally for me and my company to use for internal testing?

Hi M,
You can't download or install BL locally because all of the code we have in regards to taking screenshots resides on our servers "in the cloud". And trust me, you don't want to have to deal with all that server configuration and maintenance
There are, however, a few other ways you can use BrowserLab to test sites that are behind a firewall. Your options are:
Get your company IT to whitelist our egress IP addresses (216.104.220.193 & 192.150.3.7) so that our servers can reach into your network and see the pages.
Use our Dreamweaver integration extension in CS5 to test local content. Install DW, set up your site, open up the BL extension, choose Preview Local Content and we'll upload the pages and assets to our servers so we can take screenshots there. Your assets will not be accessible to anyone but you and will be deleted within 5 minutes.
Use Firefox, Firebug, and our BrowserLab for Firebug add-on to test local content in a similar way to what you can do with Dreamweaver in #2. You can find instructions and download links here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/786305?tstart=0

Unable to connect to Windows computers on local network

We have several Windows XP computers on our local network. Some have shared folders, that we can upload/download files to/from.
Connecting to these Windows computers was no problem under Snow Leopard, but under Lion I cannot connect to any of them.
The shared computers show up in the Finder. I can see them in the sidebar, under the "SHARED" items. But I cannot connect to them.
If I select a computer to connect to, the Finder pops up the following error:
There was a problem connecting to the server "name".
The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.
Also, I get the following error message in the system.log
Finder: SharePointBrowser::handleOpenCallBack returned 57

Unfortunately it does not work for me.
I can see the server in the Finder under the "Shared" list.
If I click on the server, the Finder gives me the error message I mentioned above. If I click "Connect to server" button nothing happens, but I get the same error message in the system.log. If I select the "Connect to Server" option from the "Go" menu I get the same errors. So I still cannot connect.

"Unable to log URL" error when importing WSDL into Web Service connection

I'm using Xcelsius Engage and I'd like to use Web Service connection.
I've developed my own Web service (that is using 2 other web service inside it).
and now I'm trying to import it into the Xcelsius (connection --> Web service connection).
And I get the follwoing error:
"Unable to log URL"
When I browse to my wsdl file in IE the file is loaded with no problem.
When trying to import other URLs it also works fine (for example: http://www.xignite.com/xFinancials.asmx?wsdl)
Any idea?

"Unable to load URL" - SQL Server 2005 DB Web Service Connection

Hi ,
I am using XCelsius version 5.0.0.99 to create dashboards connecting to SQL Server 2005.
Find below the details of the steps -
1. Created a web service within SQL Server 2005 database.
2. Copied the WSDL URL.
3. In XCelsius 2008 -> Data Manager -> Web Service Connection, pasted the URL in the WSDL URL input box and clicked "Import" to import the methods. At this point I am getting "Unable to load URL" .
Am I missing any step ?
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Note : I have tested the web service by using it in a ASP.Net project and works fine.

Hi,
Error :unable to Load URL occurs" because Crystal xcelsius only support single schema web service created from Query as a web service and Flynet tool available in xcelsius 2008.
The reason:
All the web service create from Sql 2005 ,PHP script produced multiple scehma web service and crystal xcelsius only support single schema web service which can be created from Query as a web service or Flynet.
Please revert in case of any queries.

"Unable to load URL" error when importing VS2008 created WSDL

One of my developers created a simple web service in Visual Studio 2008 that queries a database on our SQL Server 2005. I can view the web service results in a web browser with no problems. I can also pull up the WSDL in the web browser with no problems (http://<ip address>/Service.asmx?WSDL). However, when I try to load WSDL into a Web Service Connection in Xcelsius 2008, I get the "Unable to load URL" error.
I've also tried to use the web service as a data source in Crystal Reports 2008, but I get another error:
Logon failed.
Details: Schema file is invalid
error: src-resolve: element 'schema@http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' not found
I've seen a post in which it looked like Crystal acknowledged this as a bug in the XML driver used by Crystal products, but it should be fixed in a service pack update. I've got the latest service packs and fix packs installed for both Xcelsius 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008.
I scanned the information being sent/returned to Xcelsius using Fiddler and it looks like the request is getting through and the actual WSDL file is being returned to Xcelsius, so it shouldn't be an authentication issue. It seems like Xcelsius doesn't like the WSDL file for some reason. However, it is automatically generated by Visual Studio 2008.
Any ideas as to how I can get Xcelsius to use this test web service?

Having the same issues here also.
I can see the wsdl file being accessed successfully in the web access log, but Xcelsius v5.3 return "unable to load URL"
Only thing I can guess is that the schema is "untyped"
So, nobody in SAP has a solution?

Xcelsius error: Unable to load URL while using QAAWS on XI 3.0.

I am getting "unable to load url" in xcelsius 2008 while importing a qaaws url.
After all the testing below are my observations:-
1) This has something to do with QAAWS.
2) When I logged into QAAWS and tried accessing the newly created url from the browser. It gave this error " can not communicate to the server mcc69u01:6400" but intrestingly the cms port is located at 6464 and not 6400.
3) For every other application like infoview and cmc it picks the correct port i.e. 6464.
4) Server is present on a UNIX box.
5) I read somewhere that I need to make changes in the dsws.properties file under war files folder. There I enetered "domain= mcc69u01:6464" and restarted TOMCAT.
6) After making this change I was unable to even log into QAAWS as it gave the error 02718 " you are not authorized to create query".
7) After reverting the changes now I am able to log into QAAWS and create new queries but the same problem persist.
8) TOMCAT is listening to port 8088 for our environment.
9) Tried the same thing from a different client machine with fairly new BO XI 3.0 client installation(same server) but no success.
I believe somehow QAAWS is not able to connect to the correct port 6464 and that is the reason for this issue.
Could anyone suggest what I should do???

hi Anshul,
The QAAWSservletprincipal is not related to how you log into the server when creating queries
It is used when the queries are actually running, or when you are trying to load the query to a tool like Xcelsius. I had the same unable to load error and it was caused by the QAAWSservletprincipal being set to concurrent licence when my server was all named users.
I think the issue you are seeing is more likely a bug caused by hardcoded cms port, but I think it is worth ruling out.

Unable to share files over the local network, OS X Lion

About two weeks ago, my coworker and I realized that we were no longer able to share files over the local network. We have not made any changes to our preference settings. We are able to access FileMaker Pro databases files located on another computer in our office via the network, but we are unable to access any other files by trying to login to the computer remotely. We also have internet access. I am able to login to each of our work computers form home, but not from the office. I'm am not sure what has changed, but it is important that we have the ability to share files at work. Can you give me directions on how to fix our problem. Thanks!

I had this problem when I first setup my Mac. One thing I know is that File Sharing in System Preferences doesn't necessarily need to be on, because iTunes does all of the networking itself.
I know that you've checked and checked again on the firewall, but what I did was turn the firewall on. In the list of ALLOW, there should be a line that is labeled iTunes Music Sharing. Check it. It was the magic link, and all of my iTunes libraries on the three computers in the house (two Windows, one my Mac) could "see" each other.
Turning on the firewall might seem strange, but it worked for me.

I am installing PI 7.1 on a HP-UX/ Oralce environment. Started the install and when It prompted for Oracle Software, I stopped the install and installed Oracle.
When starting back SAPINST after oracle install it terminates with the following error :

Abort execution because of
keydb.unableToOpenURL
Nothing has been moved from the /tmp directory.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi,
It looks like problem /tmp file system. Generally contents in this file system are temporary.
I think you have to start the installation again but this time I would suggest you to not use /tmp as installation directory.

Error when reading the access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine.
Seems like it is a problem of XI Server unable to locate the Central adapter engine due to some parameter not set properly.
So, what are the points we can check while installation of XI so as to rectify this problem.

I got the similar error in my scenario and i solved the same.Actually i ma not pretty surte this will solve your problem.
In my case proxy generation settings was mis configured in the sender system. so its caused the reason.
I made an entry in the SPROXSET table and i did other activities like RFC and application system also.
Then its worked for me. Its not matching with your case please do ignore this one

I am facing the same problem. I have configured a RFC-File scenario.
I get the error"no_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine af.<SID>.<server>"
and <INTERNAL.AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR>
I get the error "no_messaging_url_found: Unable to find URL for Adapter Engine" when I execute the Function Module SAI_AE_DETAILS_GET.
This error occured in the line 235( sap_xi_adapter_services = sld_accessor->associators( iref = sap_xi_adapter_framework assocclass = 'SAP_HostedXIAdapterServi) of the FM.
The value is not filled and i get the error mentioned.
I have gone through thread and verified all the points mentioned.
I have checked SXI_CAHCE,there are no locked users in RSUSR200,
SXI_CACHE, Goto->AdapterEngine Cache, I have an entry af.<sid>.<server>
In SLD,Technical Landscape,Exchange Infrastructure I have the entry <SID>.<Server> against the Adapter Engine
But as was mentioned in the thread the line 241 of the Fucntion Module has 'adapterType' and not 'Adaptertype' as in the exchange profile.I did not try changing 'a' to 'A'.
Could you please let me know how to solve the problem.

The problem that you are facing looks like it is unable to connect to the adapter engine itself, please check the following:-
The userid being used must have the authorizations of group SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER on the Integration Server.
*During the configuration of the adapter (From Help documentation):-
Specifications for the Integration Engine
Enter the complete address (URL) of the Integration Engine that you want to send the message to:
XI.TargetURL=http://IntegrationEngineHost:port/pipeline-arguments
This specification is mandatory.
One suggestion:- Please try the following and see if you are still facing the problem, this might help you in decreasing the number of places to verifyconfigurations!
Again, from help:-
The Integration Engine address can also be accessed dynamically from the SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD). The following entry is added to the configuration for this purpose:
XI.SLDConfiguration=SLDaccessor
In this case the URL of the corresponding Integration Server for the system specified with XI.SenderService is read from the SLD and used instead of the value specified under XI.TargetURL. Therefore, specify the following:
XI.TargetURL=<fromSLD>
To be able to access the SLD, the SLDaccessor service must be configured correspondingly and the respective entries must be maintained in the SLD.

Data connection issue - Unable to load URL

Hi Folks,
when I am trying to import URL (developed based on Query as Web services) in Xcelsius 2008, I am getting error "Unable to load URL".
My other teammates are able to upload using their own laptop, so it indicates there is no issue on server side. I can open document saved in BO enterprise.
Please advise if you have seen this issue.

I am using SAP BO Dashboard Design 4.1 SP2.
I have create one web Intelligence report and from it i create web services url using of publish data feature.
when I use this url to create Web service(Qaaws) connection in dashboard It is showing me error " Unable to Load URL "
URL is working fine in browser in server system where i install SAP BO 4.2 but it is not working in my system where i installed dashboard design.
Please suggest how do i make connection using of this URL in dashboard.
Do i miss something or doing wrong ? then guide me.
