Unable to install JDeveloper Accelerator extensions in jdeveloper

The JDeveloper Accelerator extension resides on the Oracle Technology Network (OTN).
Below are the steps which I found for installing JDeveloper Accelerator extensions:
1.     Download JDeveloper Studio Edition from the System Assurance Center.
2.     Start JDeveloper.
3.     From the Help menu, click Check for Updates.
4.     On the Welcome screen, click Next.
5.     On the 1 of 3: Source screen, click Add.
6.     In the Name field, type Business Accelerator Authoring Tools.
7.     In the location field, enter
http://jde.oracle.com/deploy/AcceleratorAuthoring/jdevupdatecenter.xml
8.     Click OK.
9.     On the step 2 of 3: Updates screen click Business Accelerator Authoring Tools.
10.     Click Next.
11.     On the Summary screen, click Finish.
I followed exactly the same steps. But, after step 8, I don’t see any updates on the Updates Screen. Screen shots attached.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you..

Hi,
you want to post this question to Oracle internal. The server you reference is Oracle internal only and the extension most likely too. In addition, the link doesn't work indicating that there referenced server is no longer. So better to identify the owner of this extension and contact him /her

    thanks,
you gave me the courage to move along, and I stumbled across some info
(should have given a link here, but not able to find the most correct one right now)
As a matter of fact it seems like several postings in blogs and discussion forums touch this area.
Just wonder if we could smooth this process a bit.
issuing this command sequence, did the trick:
    sudo mkdir -p /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/jre/lib
    cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/jre/lib
    sudo ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/classes/classes.jar rt.jar
Then for jdk location I selected
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Contents/Home

  • Unable to install any Gnome Extensions through Web Interface

I am trying to install Gnome Extensions through the Web Interface. I have done this before a few months ago but for some reason it stopped working. I switch the extension to on, and I confirm I want to install it. Nothing happens after.
I can enable and disable Gnome Extensions through the web interface, and the firefox extension "Gnome Shell Integration" is enabled. I have found plenty of topics on the subject but none seemed to actually provide a working solution.

Which extension are you trying to install?
I have this problem recently with google chrome and the dash-to-dock extension every time either GNOME Shell updates, or the extension updates. I find if I turn the extension off, delete it, restart GNOME Shell, and then reinstall the extension then it works.

  • Unable to find Business Rules in the JDeveloper while creating new project

    Hi All,
I am going through the chapter 9 Creating a Rule-enabled Non-SOA Java EE Application for JDevloper 11g. I am following the instruction given in the chapter.
However I am unable to find a Business Rules category for creating a Business rules directory.
Probably it has to be activated from somewhere.
I tried searching its significance with JDev installation but haven't got anything.
It seems very basic level problem, however...Please let me know if anybody knows how to solve it
    Thanks,

  • Failed to install AIA extension to JDeveloper and open FP demo sourcecode

    Hi,
I successfully installed FP 11.1.1.4 on Oracle linux (I didn't use OER). Then I want to open the source code of AIA FP Demo 11.1.1.4 in JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and rebuild it.
I used "Help->Check for Updates" to install "AIA Composite Application Framework" and "AIA Service Constructor". After restarting JDeveloper, I can't find these extensions in JDeveloper from "Help->About->Extension". I tried to install these extensions from local file. Still the same result, no error during procedure and nothing happened after restart.
I reinstalled JDeveloper, the same problem. I even installed JDeveloper on another machine running Mac OS, still the same result. BTW, SOA composite extension is successfully installed.
When I open the jws file shipped in FP demo in JDeveloper, it always pop up a error like this".....adf/META--INF/adf-config.xml is invalid". Actually there is not adf-config.xml included in the original source code? JDeveloper automatically created a adf-config.xml which seems not compatible with the source code.
Anyone can hlep me out? I google AIA Demo error , find nothing useful.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi there,
I have just tried it. First I updated 'AIA Composite Application Framework','AIA Service Constructor' and 'SOA Composite' plugins. After the restart plugins were not installed and I could not create SOA or AIA project.
Then I installed 'SOA Composite' plugin. After restart it was ok. Then 'AIA Service Constructor'. After restart it was OK. Finally I was going to install 'AIA Composite Application Framework' but I noticed version is 2.4 which I guess is not needed in 11g.
Then you should navigate into Tools, Preferences, SOA and add <JDEV_HOME>/jdeveloper/lib/aia.jar to make the functions available to all projects.
When you import jws it will be successfully migrated but you get an error that adf-config.xml is invalid. That file is not in original source codes but it is created during migration process. To fix invalid msg you have add link to metadata store into that file.

    Hi,
I'm trying to install the ADF Mobile extension using JDeveloper version 11.1.2.3.0. I have tried following options -:
1.) Install extension from Official Oracle Extensions and Updates . Help->Check for Updates->select Official Oracle Extensions and Updates->Next ->ADF Mobile ->Next ->Finish->Restart Jdev
2.) Downloaded ADF Mobile extension zip file and saved it in local drive. Then Help->Check for Updates->Install from Local drive.
On restarting the Jdeveloper when i tried to verify the installation, i'm unable to see ADF Mobile framework in the Extensions tab. Plus i do not see ADF Mobile option when i go to create a new application.
I have tried to install the extension atleast 8-9 times still no luck.
Please advice what could be the reason why installation is getting failed.

  • Unable to debug the jspx page on Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1, using Windows 7 OS

    Hi,
I am unable to debug the jspx page on Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1, using Windows 7 OS.
When right click on jspx page , clicks on Debug option, it gives the following error:
Debugger unable to connect to local process.
[Server Instance IntegratedWebLogicServer is shutting down.  All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]
I also restarted the Jdeveloper, even re-installed Jdev but still the problem persist.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

If the jspx page is not part of the adfc-config.xml the page can only be displayed, but the tags will not work as the adf life cycle  is not involved. drag te page onto the adfc-config.xml (the unbounded task flow), right click on it and select debug from the context menu.
Main problem is : Weblogic server cannot be started in debug mode.
To check this, open the application navigator, select the integrated server, right click on it and select 'debug' from the context menu.
After a short time you should see some messages and at last you should see <Runnning> in the message log. Now the server runs (without any of your applications, but it runs).
If you done't see the 'Running' message you should see an error, which you should post here.

  • Installing OMB Plus in Oracle JDeveloper

    Hello
I have JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0, and I like to enable the IDE for OMBPlus development.
I followed the guide at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/owb.111/b31279.pdf (appendix Installing OMB Plus in Oracle JDeveloper)
    1. Drop shiphome/owb/lib/int/OMBPlus_jdev.jar in the JDeveloper
    installation directory/lib/ext directory.
    2. Start JDeveloper.
    3. From the Tools menu, select Preferences, OMBPlus, and then OMBPlus
Installation to set the Warehouse Builder installation directory. For example,
c:\oracle\ora81. Do not include the Warehouse Builder directory at the end
    of this path.
    4. Restart JDeveloper.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 each time you change the Warehouse Builder installation
    directory.
However I do not get a OMBPlus menu in the Preferences window.
    Can you please help me?
    /kasper

    kasper,
There is a bug report in support.oracle.com with the exact same symptoms - I could find no documentation about the version of JDev supported by OMBPlus, but I'm strongly guessing that JDev 11 isn't supported. In fact, I guarantee it.
I've cracked open OMBPlus.jar and had a look at the extension manifest - it's for JDev 9.0.x, which isn't available to download any more. Your best bet would probably be to file a support request to see what they have to say.

  • Looking for Trim Trailing Space extension for JDeveloper 10

I'm looking for the Trim Trailing Space extension version 10.1.3.2.0, for JDeveloper 10.1.3.5. I've tried the normal "Check for Updates", but the zip file that it tries to download doesn't exist. The version I'm looking for is listed on the download page here: http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/130355.xml, but the download link for it is broken. (I've also tried installing the latest version for JDeveloper 11, but it won't seem to install.)
Does anyone know if older versions of the Trim Trailing Space extension are still available? If so, where can they be downloaded?
    Thanks,

    Rob,
I sent an email to Chris (the author of the extension) and he has now recreated the extension for the 10.1.3.5 version that you are looking for. He added it to his download page on the Google Code.
Here is a link to the file:
    http://code.google.com/p/jdev-trimtrailingspaces/downloads/list?can=4&q=&colspec=Filename+Summary+Uploaded+Size+DownloadCount
I'll work on getting the Update Center corrected as well, but this should get you going for now.

    Hi,
I am unable to install extensions, they show up with "will be installed after you restart Firefox" even after I restart.
The "Staged" folder is present and remains after a restart, but the extensions do not get installed. They show in the extensions page with the "will be installed after you restart Firefox" message and remain like this no matter how many times I restart.
    Any Idea's?
Running Firefox 24.0 on Windows 8.1
    Many Thanks,
    BD
P.S. Just tried to install the "troubleshooter" add-on before posting the question and I got an error saying it cannot install because it cannot modify the needed file. (I did it manually instead)

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
    See "Corrupt extension files":
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

  • Unable to install adobe Extension Manager 6.1 update

unable to install Extension Manager 6.1 update on my Mac.  Running Lion

Thank you Enny1f.  The reason which I inquire is users often will turn around after suggestions are offered and then tell us they have already completed those steps.  This helps give a clear picture on how to proceed.
First I would recommend checking your version of the Adobe Application Manager.  It is located in Applications/Utilties/Adobe Application Manager/core.  If it is not version 6.2.77 or later then please obtain the update from the bottom right hand corner of our download page.  The download page is located at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/.

  • I followed your help directions on "Corrupt extension files" under "Unable to install add-ons", foolishly deleting the files you told me to. Now firefox won't open. I tried reinstalling firefox but it still won't open. Now what do I do?

I was trying to install the SEOQuake add on. After clicking install Firefox would hang up saying the script had timed out and asking if I want to stop it or continue. Didn't matter which option I chose nothing would happen. The only way to stop it was to close Firefox and restart. Tried restarting the computer. Still wouldn't install. Tried installing the Outwit add on and got the same error leading me to conclude it was a problem with Firefox, not the add on. I found this help page <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons?s=addons+won't+install&as=s> and did everything it told me to. Finally at the end I got to "Corrupt extension files". I foolishly deleted the files you told me to and now Firefox won't even start! I tried reinstalling Firefox and it still won't start. Tried restarting the computer. I have no idea how to get back to where I was let alone install the add ons I wanted to install. Please help. At this point I'd just be happy to be able to get Firefox working.

See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)<br />
