Unable to load newer fglrx module (catalyst):

When I try to modprobe the latest catalyst module, I get the following error on dmesg:

It seems to be related to another agp modul using the pages or something, but i still didn't find a working solution on the net.

from what I read on the ubuntu bug-tracker: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/283836 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/284408 this looks like a bug in the fglrx-driver itself. Because that's a closed-source proprietary driver there's not much one can do but waiting for ATI to fix it.
To solve your problem at the moment you could try to downgrade to a catalyst-driver you know who works with your card or switch to one of the free ati and radeon drivers supporting your card.

if you used the packages from repos, the blacklist is done automatically in nvidia,
$ pacman -Qo /etc/modprobe.d/nouveau_blacklist.conf
/etc/modprobe.d/nouveau_blacklist.conf is owned by nvidia 195.36.31-1
$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/nouveau_blacklist.conf
blacklist nouveau
but i guess you just want to mess your system by using unsupported and very bad ways and you are way smarter than the devs if you used that installer

Do the logs on your LDAP server show access problems?

I'm writing an enterprise application to familiarize myself with Glassfish 3.1.2 and EJB 3.1. I've created several local, stateless beans, and injected one into a JSF managed bean. The ejb and web modules compile fine, but when I launch the application with Glassfish I get the following startup error and the application does not deploy. I don't understand what it means, can someone ellaborate?

My guess is that you deployed an ejb without bean in it. when you have an ejb module, be sure you have at least one bean present.
Are you sure you have implementend some beans? Or did you do this only in the web module?
Try adding an @Stateless bean doing nothing in you ejb module, redeploy and let me know if that works

Unable to load your custom module provider's module-factory-class

I am having a problem while I deploy my application. it gives me following error:
Unable to load your custom module provider's module-factory-class com.bea.p13n.descriptor.module.ConfigModuleFactory
Dont know how to resolve it. the class is in p13n_system.jar file, I have added that jar as a library in deployment but still it shows the same error.
Added it in classpath as well but same error. (Dont know exactly how to add in class path, i have added just in "Start Server" tab's classpath)
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Unable to load powernow-k8 module

Weird. My AMD Opteron is unable to load the powernow-k8 modules:

That line that reads, Firmware Bug: BIOS needs update for CPU frequency support was really bugging me. So I took a risk, d/l'ed the latest BIOS for my board, flashed, reset all my custom BIOS settings, and rebooted into my new kernel. I'm now able to use acpi-cpufreq and scaling works smoothly

Or... it could be that you aren't supposed to use the powernow-k8 module w/ your chip. From what I understand all Opty chips should use it... have you tried to modprobe acpi-cpufreq and see if it works?

Unable to call New Function Module when called thru Internet Service in ESS

Hi all,
I am using 4.6C.
What i want to do: We are attaching a new HTML Template to an iview in which we have a direct call to a newly created Function Module.(Direct call mean to say we are calling the FM thru Flow Editor of HTML template).
What error i am getting : After publishing all edited/created objects when we test it in portal page. It says :

I am unable to load New Events onto the iCal on my iMac

When I first loaded Lion and converted to iCloud I was able to add Events to the iCal from the iMac. iCloud updated the iCal on my iPhone 4, iBook and my wife's iMac. I've done something to mess things up. Any suggestions?

Unable to load new filter, get error message

Hello. I have been using Pixel Bender for several months without a problem. I am running CS5 64bit. Today, I tried to add a new filter skinColorFilter and I get an error that NewFilter already exists and cannot be added. I looked in the Pixel Bender Files folder and no such filter exists. This is a link to the screen image of the error I am getting; .
I am able to continue and use all the other filters and do see a NewFilter listed but have no idea where it came from. Any ideas what I can do to resolve this problem...........Ralph

Hello, and thank you for responding. The problem is that there is no NewFilter in the Pixel Bender directory and in fact there is no such file in my entire disk. My first reaction was to delete the filter but couldn't do so as it didn't exist. I have since downloaded other filters that work fine so have decided to give up and live without the skinColorFilter.

I am unable to load new version of firefox. I get error message.

I get a message saying you can't open the document.icn or something like that. I go through whole installation process but when it asks to keep duplicate or replace it then gives me error message. Very frustrating. Happened with an earlier version but I found a way around it then. Can you help?

Can't load fglrx module

Hi!
I haven't upgraded my system for a while and now - after a complete system update including xorg-server, kernel, etc. - I've got a system without X :-(
I've been using the OS Ati driver for a while and was quite happy with it.
It looks like the latest xorg-server has some problems with it though. It's complaining about an mtrr error. I thought I could switch to fglrx for now but the fglrx module won't load. Neither the combo of kernel/catalyst from extra, nor the one from testing nor a self built catalyst against the latest kernel in testing let me load the fglrx module. What's going on here? Help is appreciated...

Well, I got it working. But strange enough, I still can't modprobe the newly built fglrx-module (catalyst 8.12).
So I tried the vesa driver. Check.
Then I gave the ati (OSS) driver another go, hal recognition of input devices disabled because that was were the whole mess started. Check.
Then I tried w/ hal. Check. To my surprise, keyboard and synaptics were now working (couldn't get to this point yesterday)
Changed the keyboard to "ch" and created a reasonable /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/11-x11-synaptics.fdi:

My iPad 2 can't load new Yahoo emails from my home WiFi (but loads them fine in other WiFi environments and loads Gmail messages fines at home)

My iPad 2 had no problems loading e-mails until about a month ago. Then it started periodically being unable to load new e-mails from one of my two Yahoo accounts (the primary one), but the secondary Yahoo account worked fine. (It says "Checking for mail..." and never stops checking). This only happens when I'm at home, using my home WiFi (a slow connection.) Now, for the past two weeks, about 95% of the time, neither of my Yahoo accounts works on the iPad, although I have no problem accessing these accounts on my iPod Touches or on my desktop Mac mini. If I take the iPad to my neighbor's house and use her WiFi, I can get the Yahoo mail. (She has cable/internet through Comcast; I have DSL.) I can access the Yahoo mail in public WiFi environments like Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, and the Apple store. I upgraded the operating system to ios 6.0.1, and the problem didn't go away. I've been to two Apple stores and seen two different "Geniuses" about this. The first one observed that although the iPad could load mail while in the store, it was doing so very, very slowly. She did a complete restore (erasing all of my apps, photos, etc.) but when I got back home, the problem resumed. The second Genius couldn't figure the problem out, either. He suggested I contact Yahoo, which I highly doubt will get me anywhere. I eventually added back all of my old apps, but then deleted them again in the past few days thinking that perhaps a persnickety app was causing a problem. No luck.

Answering my own question here. It's fixed! Another user recommended I switch to another wireless network then back to mine. And it worked! Mail is sending again with no problem.

ITunes freezes when loading new songs to iPod

I have a 60 gig video iPod. I am running the latest version of iTunes with a library of 21886 songs (73 days).
Recently, iTunes has been unable to load new songs to the iPod. It simply freezes while loading the new songs.
I tried deleting and reinstalling iTunes, but this didn't resolve the problem. (The uninstall was performed using the iTunes software, so it continued to recognize the previously existing music library upon reinstall).
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix the problem?

FIrst goto control panel>add and remove and uninstall iTUnes AND quicktime there. DIsable antivirus and download/install the latest version off apple.com
It may be where your library is so big. Also try updating the ipods software witht eh ipod updater 06-28-2006

Fglrx module not loading / not found

Edit:
I noticed that when running depmod, i got an error about fglrx existing and bla bla bla error.
So, i ran rm /lib/modules/{kernel}/extramodules/fglrx* .
Then reinstall catalyst-dkms & catalyst-utils.
Then depmod. Then reboot.

When i lsmod | grep fglrx, nothing is listed.
modprobe fglrx returns Module fglrx not found.
I have installed catalyst drivers according to the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fglrx .
# pacman -S catalyst-dkms catalyst-utils
# pacman -S lib32-catalyst-utils
# aticonfig --initial
I'm using systemd, so:
-Disable the radeon module from auto-loading. If it occurs in any file under /etc/modules-load.d/, remove the file (or, if the file contains multiple modules, just remove the radeon one).
-Either add fglrx on a new line of an existing module file located under /etc/modules-load.d/, or create a new file and add fglrx.
(radeon is blacklisted; i have a file called /etc/modules-load.d/fglrx with one line: fglrx )
And grub2:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset"
# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

BTW it is bad practice to alter a post only to tell that the problem at hand has been fixed. A final post in the thread would have been more suitable. So everyone knows on first sight what you did.

I have a asp.net web application running on windows server 2008 with oracle server 10g installed.
now we are planning to run application on another server with same server as database server. but when the deployed on new server the login page comes up and after login System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'OraOps10.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) exception is thrown. any help would highly be appreciated.

Did you run the ODAC installer, OUI or xcopy, or did you just copy over Oracle.DataAccess.dll to the new machine? If the latter, then you need to run the installer to put in all the necessary Oracle DLLs ODP.NET references.
